Words cannot describe my appreciation

This is for the Imagines post. Could you write a one-shot or short Eddie x Rachel story in the Monster Angels AU? I don’t mind how the story goes but if I should be more specific then maybe it could be about Rachel getting hurt or lost in the woods and Monster Eddie has to figure out a way to help her even though he doesn’t understand the strengths and weaknesses of humans very well. I really like the Imagines thing by the way, great method of self-motivation. :)

Oooo I really like this oneshot idea! I got an idea as soon as I saw it.

Night Adventure

Late, really late. The sun setting over the horizon and the stars start twinkling in the night. Though only a frustrated sigh escapes Rachel’s mouth at this moment as she squints as her surroundings.

Rachel stands onto her feet and takes in her surroundings. She then takes a look at all her data from todays research and groans loudly, remembering that she still needs to carry it home. Of course this would happen. She should have kept better track of time, though now wasn’t the time to be beating herself up about it anyway.

She goes through grabbing everything from todays out in the feild research and puts it all in a large box. She gives one more final sigh before tracking off into the forest to her home.

It doesn’t take long for it to get dark and incredibly hard to see. Rachel squints her way through the dark forest unable to get a better grasp of her surroundings due to a box in her vision. She’s moving slowly through the bushes and over rocks, moving her foot around before stepping down to make sure she’s still balanced. Despite this her breathing is quicker than normal.

“RAYCHUUU!”, someone calls out from a distance. Rachel’s head turns to the direction of the noise, stopping completely. “RAYCHUUUUU!”

“Eddie?”, Rachel says to herself. She shifts her body in the same direction and moves towards it. She quickens her pace a bit. Then a bit more. But stops when she can’t hear anything anymore. “EDDIE!!”

“Raychu!?”, Eddie calls back. Rachel stars moving again. Step by step, getting closer. Though something hard and pointy makes itself clear only in the last second as Rachel steps on it.

Unable to react in time, Rachel completely steps down and then screams as the box and herself are thrown forward. She throws her hands out infront of herself to catch herself when she lands. But the landing doesn’t come.

“Raychu oki?”, Eddie speaks. He had found her last minute and caught her in the nick of time. Rachel looks up to see the brief outline of his body as her stands her back up.

“Yes, I’m fine. Thank you Eddie.”, Rachel says. She takes a moment to breath after this incident before remembering. “Oh no, my research. I spent so long collecting that.”

“Es oki. Get mar morrow!”, Eddie says as he grabs Rachel’s hand with his paw. He starts leading her away from the scene.

“Eddie wait-”, Rachel says, though cut off as they only get further away from the scene. When they are far enough Eddie let’s go and starts going on ahead. “Eddie, where are you going!?”

“Come!”, Eddie calls. He starts moving faster through the forest, using his long scarf arms to pull him up into the trees for faster travel. Rachel, on the other hand, was back to squinting to find her way around.

Rachel struggles walking as she grabs onto trees and stops to take in her surroundings. Was it just her or was it getting darker? She blinks a couple times. It was definitely darker no matter what.

A sudden touch on the shoulder sends a shiver down her spine as she jumps back and let’s out a startled scream. It doesn’t last as Eddie’s form makes it into her eyes and she takes a breath.

“Raychuu come!”, Eddie says, firmer than before.

“Eddie I can’t see in the dark.”

There’s a pause. When everything plays again Eddie picks Rachel up bridal style. He uses his scarf to pull them into the tree and start moving again.

Rachel clings to him at the sudden movements. The rush of the wind in her hair and the position that she’s in calms her though. She peers up from her position to see a swift movement from one banch to another. She watches carefully from the comfort of Eddie’s arms, a slight heaviness coming over her body.

“Raychuu! RAYCHUUU!”, Eddie calls out once more. It splits through the darkness as Rachel’s eyes open. She streches, yawning loudly before noticing the emerald eyes staring down at her. She blinks a few times as she looks at him, then looks over. She sees the cabin as light comes through the window.

Rachel giggles a bit, now that was something.
