If I may, Cerebral is Better Help’s just as evil sponsorship twin. Only it may actually be more dangerous because of their ability to prescribe medication while treating you as a customer, not a patient.
I was drawn in at a time I had no health insurance but their prices rose to the point it wasn’t that affordable anymore. So in that sense I felt taken advantage of when I’m already down, mentally.
The medications wouldn’t work and when I tried to talk to a provider about concerns to my health I was ghosted. I had a therapist ghost me at a time she knew I was struggling and like god imagine how shitty it is when everyone in your life at that point abandons you, even your therapist. The care councilors I worked with (different from their therapists, supposedly, though I felt no difference between either service tbh) tried their best genuinely but they were not equipped to handle more than the most basic of anxiety and the most palatable of depression symptoms. And this sucks, because they advertised treatment options for PTSD and ADHD specifically (which are things that cripple me at times), as well as other conditions like Bipolar Depression and so on.
Not to mention security breaches with their userbase’s medical records. They can send apologize emails all they want and say they won’t do it again but they should have never done that to begin with.
It’s hard for people like me (disabled in whatever way) to actually be taken seriously so to be treated as nothing more than just some source of data or customer rather than a patient is indescribably disgusting.
In general, I am wary of any kind of subscription based, online health service. This sucks, because I am disabled and leaving the house to go to a doctors office isn’t always convenient, if it’s even possible. I’ve had so many experiences soured from the business I just mentioned amongst some others that it just makes me all the more reluctant to get help. If I can encourage people to really consider the select pros vs many cons here I will.
Fundamental life advice: never trust a product from a youtuber/influencer sponsorship

Going to have a fucking anuerism because of these damn Raycon headphones.
Fucker's decided to connect to my family's other bluetooth thing one night and now all of a sudden the damn things are not working AT ALL.
Sent TWO letters to Raycon now, one for the bluetooth connect without my sayso and now the fact Stereo mode refuses to work, and I'm just PISSED. Sure, bought them on Memorial Day sale but STILL.

Roommates trying to convince me to get a new computer I’m like I’ve had it for 7 and a half years and it still works fine. And they are like yeah but it can’t update to windows 11 what if the school exam software starts needing that. The exam software already said it’s not going to run best without it. And it’s like I guess fair. Maybe I shouldn’t wait til it dies on me/I’m not able to take exams like a week before the exam. But it feels wasteful to buy a new one when everything else works pretty fine. Like? It could be quicker and stuff but. Idk. Thinking about how quick I go through headphones and I’m just like my electronic waste footprint is already big enough for me.

I got a $16 pair of headphones at Walmart that are actually really good. You can find cheap solutions if you’re that desperate to watch/listen to things in public. But if you’re a headphone snob, yeah, wait till you get home.
i'm literally begging people to relearn how to use earbuds and headphones. i don't wanna hear your fucking tiktok while im waiting for my flight.

Did you exchange a walk-on part in the war for a lead role in a cage? by ausmuh
01. What would you say your favorite day in history is, or a day you find interesting? If you could, would you travel back in time to experience or witness it? >> I can't think of a specific date I find more interesting than others. Even if I could, I can safely say I would rather not fuck with the already-tenuous fabric of linear time like that.
02. What's the most embarrassing thing you've ever had an obsession with? Do you still like that thing? >> I'm not embarrassed by anything I've had an obsession with. They are all cherished parts of me.
03. Describe the last movie you watched, but do not give its title. The next person who takes this survey must try to guess the film that the previous survey-taker watched. You may give hints, such as the actors and actresses that starred in the film, the director, the year the film was made, etc. Then the guesser has to describe the last movie they watched, and so on and so forth. can't remember the last movie I watched, so I'll just use the last show I watched. it stars Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Tony Hale, Will Arnett, Portia de Rossi in an early 2000s series about a highly dysfunctional family. >> ^ Arrested Development! Hell yeah, good show. Also this is a genius idea for a question. David Dastmalchian is a struggling TV show host who pulls out all the arcane stops for a pivotal sweeps-week Halloween episode. Nightmare scenarios ensue. 04. If you could draw any place that you could be magically transported into, what would you draw? What would you do there? .
05. Do you have the LiveJournal app downloaded onto your phone? >> I didn't even know LJ had an app. I certainly would not need it.
06. Have you ever played any of the Animal Crossing games? Do you have the new game, or do you plan on buying it? >> I've played New Leaf because Sparrow bought a copy of it when it came out. It isn't the kind of thing that holds my interest for long. Oh, and I've also played Pocket Camp (the phone version).
07. Do you talk to anyone from Xanga or LiveJournal on anything other than those two websites? If so, who do you talk to and through what? >> I do not. 08. Has anyone ever showed up at your doorstep unexpectedly (besides people selling things and Jehovah's Witnesses)? If so, who was the last person to do so, and why were they there? >> This doesn't happen to me. Thank fuck.
09. When was the last time you were nauseous? Do you know what caused the feeling of nausea? >> I don't recall. 10. Are you embarrassed when you make a grammatical error, whether it's in a paper for school, a survey, or a conversation? >> I don't make grammatical errors; if I use nonstandard grammar I'm doing it on purpose and it's not an error, it's just nonstandard. Even if I did make an error, I can't imagine being embarrassed about it. 11. Describe the last outfit you saw that you really liked, or if you want, post a picture. .
12. What was the last late night show you watched? Do you regularly watch these types of shows? Who is your favorite late night TV host? >> I don't watch late night TV, no.
13. What brand of earbuds / earphones do you own? Do you like them? >> My earbuds are Raycon and my headphones are Sony. I do like them, a lot. 14. Did you ever think you were going to get into a car crash? Did you or didn't you, and why did you think this? Were you the passenger or the driver? >> I've witnessed a couple of worrisome moments but I've never seriously thought a crash was imminent.
15. What is the most annoying thing your friend does? Do you ever call them out on it? .
16. Do you have a journal or diary that you write in on a daily or weekly basis? Did you used to keep one as a kid? >> I keep a daily journal in my Obsidian vault. I was very into journalling as a child, yeah.
17. For special occasions, do you make cards for others, or do you purchase them? >> I don't give cards.
18. Do you have difficulty swallowing pills? How often do you take them? >> I don't, but I've definitely met my share of challenging pills. Antibiotics were the fucking worst. As for the second question, I take a birth control pill nightly.
19. In your dreams, do you mostly see things through your own eyes, or do you see yourself through a third person view? >> I assume it's mostly the former.
20. Can you remember the last time you saw a rainbow? >> I cannot.
21. What month of this year has been the best for you so far? What was so nice or special about it? What about the worst month? >> I'm not sure. February was the worst, though. 22. Do you have a Vine account? Who are your favorite Vine users that you follow? >> I never had an account.
23. Have you ever tried poutine? (Have you ever even heard of it?) >> I haven't tried it yet.
24. Do you have any plants or flowers in your house? What kinds? Do you like having plants in your home? >> I don't know, there's a bunch. I personally have two in my room, an aloe and a spider plant. I do enjoy having greenery around. 25. What was the last e-mail you sent in regard to? .

I want a new set of over-the-ear headphones. Bluetooth, rechargeable, comfy, good-to-excellent sound quality. Does anyone actually HAVE Raycons? Are they actually good, or is everyone just paid to say they are?

I'm starting my vent post here, cancer season is doing it's thing and I'm up in my feels struggling to focus on fact
Yay I'm home and not yay I cannot leave until after sunset, there are too many people outside my building and everyone wants my attention, I just don't want to hear my government name while forcing small talk about my job, nor do i want to visit the lemonade stand with the parent flagging down tenants (mind you they don't even live here). I wanted to take out some garbage later and sit downstairs to try to ground myself and relax since I'm so yucky feeling today, but idk how fucking long the lemonade stand is going to be there. My social battery is NEGATIVE. I'm sorry I want to be fucking alone in peace without people feeling entitled to my ears and energy. Need to buy some fucking over ear headphones so people can stop assuming I can always hear them (I wear raycons for music)
I didn't realize how much the current climate of the US was getting to me, I'm genuinely spiralling about that and I can see how I've been using my furby obsession+consumerism to cope. It's also led me to thinking about semi irrational but not too far from reality fear based scenarios such as "how will I survive when/if the US loses internet?" I don't fit in with my local community and those that I do feel one with are nowhere near me. I'm stressing about how to become active in my community while simultaneously paralyzed with fear over who is and is not safe, since this county is very conservative and many people have made it loud and clear how "phobic/ist" they are of most things I am.
I really started feeling the 12H pain of "feeling like there's a glass window between you and others that prevents them from seeing you as who you are" today as I was "noticing" (I know I was projecting, but these things won't leave my head) how differently coworkers talk to me, if at all. Been in my head about how I'm a bad friend (because i am) and even as im typing this I see how silly that all is, because it doesn't really matter if people like me or not, but I crave the validation of others for my right to exist.
I'm sad that singing along to songs I love gives me anxious adrenaline when people are around now. I can't perform without feeling fear that someone will make a stupid comment. Is it even performing though if its just singing along to whatever bullshit is stimulating me through the workday?
Idk, I'm stressing over the fact I'm watching the US's pluto return in action, what good does talking about it do? It just solidifies the sad reality of the lies we were sold.
And I know it's so wrong to impulse buy things to get easy dopamine but it's that or drugs and I don't quite feel like doing dxm when i work the next day. I've also gotten myself to stop doing recreational drugs to cope. But also like, iykyk how hard it can be to say no to an old vice that you know gets your brain just soft enough to feel "okay" for a few days.
Ughughugh, I'm gonna feed my cats and shower.

headphones or earbuds?
headphones! i have fairly nice but affordable raycon over-ear headphones that don't mess up my hair. not great noise cancellation but i don't really use that, and they're pretty good!
i only use earbuds if i'm high-intensity working out, or if i'm doing something with my hair. headphones for everything else!! (plus they're a fashion statement)

Raycon has too good of advertising because damn their headphones suck compared to others. I got a pair of jlabs and in the month I've had them I have charged then 1 time, compared to having to charge my raycons every other day. they also last so so so much longer. Like raycons, full volume I get 4 hours, full volume with the jlabs, after 8hours they were on 60%
