Shang Tsung x Witch Reader: I've Changed

Context: After finally escaping the void, Shang slips from supervision briefly to meet and request the help of an old friend. (Shaky ass friendship ngl) ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The old wooden clock on the wall ticks, filling the only sound in the empty shop. The short hand lines with the tenth hour, making you relieved to flip your sign close. Another easy day done at your little potion store. Despite the little shack being a bit older and you get few customers each day, you were always proud of your progress.

You were proud to say you changed, once a typical barbaric witch, anew to a positive person. You stopped damning people with cruel spells and toxic potions, now you sold mostly healing/soothing ones, along giving spare lessons to those who wish to learn witchcraft. Sometimes, it's the other way around. There's always new things to learn.

Sweeping the dust off the creaking floorboards, you were startled as you were about to trip over a black ball of fur. "Oh- Raven! Jeez, I didn't see you." A meow was in response, your kitten peeking up at you, the only eye he has shining.

Gently you shooed him away so you could finish sweeping. "I'll give you a snack once I'm done, go on now." You tapped his bottom and chuckle when he runs off.

The welcome chimes of your door ring, abruptly distracting you. "Store's closed!" You groan out. Ugh, can't they see the sign? You kept your thoughts to yourself.

Slow footsteps sounded closer to you. "My, just look at you." That voice! You peer up to see an old face, literally and figuratively. Your hand released the ratchet broom, letting it hit the floor. You felt some sort of nostalgia, yet confusion. "Shang Tsung? All these years... where have you been?" You step closer to him.

The old man explains. His disappearance was caused by the Titaness Kronika after having no use for him any longer, casted outside the realms in some prison. All those years in his absence, you missed him prior to your change, but now he's here. The sorcerer grabs your hand, kissing it gently. One of his ways on showing affection to you when you both were still a duo of despair. "You've aged well." He comments.

Now, he focuses on the old shop. "So while I was missing, you put your devotion into this worn down hut?" The sorcerer asks. You can hear the hidden mockery in his voice. He looks at the potions on the shelves, and you knew he would find them comical. None of them were labelled poison or dangerous, all such themed beneficial items. Part of him was worried you would go soft.

"Yeah, business is well." You state, defending your dignity. "The store's closed, and I still have errands tonight, so I can't quite catch up with you at the mome-"

"I came here for your help, Y/n." Shang Tsung interrupts. Picking up a pinkish elixir, he glances at you with tease. "Love potions?"

"That's for serotonin releases." You remove the bottle from his distrustful hands. You knew he's joking, but it's distasteful. "Love potions are vile. It's no better than going to a bar and spiking someone's drink." You explain in disgust, yet Shang still carries his smirk.

He hasn't changed, of course. I miss him, but I need him to leave. "What do you need?"

"I need your spells, your power, Y/n. The ones that always brought great suffering to those. But great amusement to us." He rubs his gray beard as he requests apathetically. "I plan to keep working with Raiden and Fujin up to Kronika's Keep. If everything goes as my plan, I can rule over many worlds. We can rule over many worlds."

"No." You shake your head immediately. "I'm past all of that. I use my powers and knowledge for good now and I hope that is something you respect. Feel free to do whatever you like, but count me out."

The man is unsurprise, but presses on with you. "Changed for the better? What happened to you?"

"I found faith in the Elder Gods." You shrug. "Along with that, I feel disgusted with my former self. Not that you'd get it, but all those people we hurt..." You cringed and turn away from him in utter shame.

"I assume you're disgusted with me too?" Shang asks.

"Well, yeah, but it's not like you'd stop. And I can't stop you neither."

He agrees with you. Harming others was like his number one hobby other than evil schemes. But if you really have a change in heart, he wouldn't force you. "It saddens me to see that wicked heart turn gold. Oh well. When I get Kronika's throne to myself, I'll have your place beside me - if you want." He offers, circling you with his charming glance. You gave him an annoyed look like he didn't actually heed you.

"You don't have to hurt anyone." He raises his hands. "But you could end up the best enchantress across universes, or better yet, a titaness beside me."

"No, sorcerer." You sigh and deny him again. "I'm happy here. You're my friend, but I don't think I'd be comfortable on the side of a villain. It's fine enough if I just focus on my own thing."

"Very well." He steps back and bows. "I shall be going now before someone notices my disappearance. After my goals, I will return to you just for friendly measures. We didn't speak for a long period after all."

"Okay." A huge part of you wasn't rooting for it, but you were fine with chatting with a friend time to time. "And if you don't and end up fading out of existence, it was always nice having you - minus the malicious activities."

 1. I feel the writer's block coming :') future writings are expected to have less quality as I'm running out of ideas and motivation. I literally had to go back to posting every 6 days instead of 3 so I don't end up running out of posts.

DC Announces 2025's Graphic Novels for Ages 5-7, 8-12, and 13+

DC Comics has announced six new graphic novels and a box set for younger readers going on sale in Fall 2025. The new early reader age group (ages 5-7) will get Superman's Good Guy Gang. Middle grade (ages 8-12) will get Kid Flash: Going Rogue and Supergirl: Cosmic Adventures in the 8th Grade. Young adult (13+) readers get Birds of Prey: The Origins, Teen Titans: Together, and Nubia: Too Real. DC also announced the DC Spooky Graphic Novels for Kids Box Set for middle grade readers.

Rob Justus' Superman's Good Guy Gang sees 9-year-old Clark Kent / Superman befriending super-powered kids Kendra Saunders / Hawkgirl and Guy Gardner / Green Lantern. The three form a club "where other supers can be themselves, test their powers, grow together, and maybe earn some good guy points along the way." Future books in the series will include Mr. Terrific, Batman, and Wonder Woman.

Superman's Good Guy Gang goes on sale on July 1, 2025.

Steve Foxe and Jerry Gaylord's Kid Flash: Going Rogue sees Ace West, aka Kid Flash, learning an important lesson on being a hero. Kid Flash may think he's got everything all figured out, but after one too many missions are jeopardized by his habit of signing autographs and taking selfies, his uncle Barry Allen takes Kid Flash and a group of teenaged rogues - Golden Glider, Pied Piper, Trickester, and The Top - "to a pocket dimension for an intervention. WAYWARDEN & THE SOULBOUND - COMING 2023

    Dia Montes is content to slouch towards spinsterhood as caretaker of Compass House and its ornery cat. Never mind that Compass House contains mysterious Doors that open into unknown realms, many of which are populated by Stryx- deadly creatures straight out of lore and superstition.     When the current Waywarden of Compass House and her assistant go MIA— Dia must step up when an ancient threat comes through one of the Doors. To complicate matters, the past rears its ugly head when Dia discovers she is magically tethered to the enigmatic Ronin, a direct consequence of her mistakes. He barely remembers anything, but he comes with his own baggage, namely Leith, a cunning Fae Lord with his own agenda.     As the three settle into an uneasy alliance, secrets and demons come to light, with a Hellhound, sundry Stryx and nosy Filipino titas (aunties) thrown in for good measure. Will they survive the unknown Creature wreaking havoc on the city? More importantly will they survive each other?

Finally ready to show off my babies!  I spent NaNoWriMo getting it up to like 80% done, and will be posting the story in January. I have some character bios and sneak peeks lined up for the rest of the month-- hope you’ll join me for the ride!

Personality- An ultimate bad-ass, she's well known in the pantheon for her short temper! She's unapologetically brutal, harsh, & unforgiving. Positively, she's fiercely determined and passionate. She's recently married.

She has the standard abilities of a goddess. As the goddess of war, destruction, bloodlust, & devastation her powers/abilities include pyrokinesis (her fire burns a bright red), limited geokinesis (can cause earthquakes- not to the level of Poseidon), odikinesis (manipulating the feelings of rage, anger, & violence in others), flight (due to her black swan like wings), telumkinesis, being able to communicate with/shapeshift into her sacred animal- the swan, haemokinesis (blood manipulation), and summoning weapons out of thin air.

Enyo's main abode with her husband is the top floor of The Stratios, a luxury high rise apartment building in the Little Sparta neigborhood of New Olympus. They also own a mansion estate in Sparta & are thinking about getting a beach house in Themiscyra. Inside the apartment, the ceilings and walls are made out of pure bloodstone while the floors are a flawless black marble. There are lots of metal & leather furniture with many decorative pieces of armor, helmets, and weapons lining the walls. There's a separate war room as well as a room that's filled with a wide arsenal of various weapons. When Enyo is not in the mood to use her wings, she gets around in her sleek black sports car. She has two pets- twin dragons (a boy & girl) named Bellum and Bellona. Their bright crimson & silver scales are often complimented on!

A go-to drink for her is a cranberry martini. She also likes red hot shots, bloody marys, mulled wine, beer, negronis, manhattans, red wine, dark cherry cola, & black raven cocktails. Her usuals from The Roasted Bean are the large cranberry cherry spalsh and olympian sized roast coffee (with a bit of sugar).

Enyo starts off her mornings with a super intense cardio workout along with a session of kickboxing at the gym. She then goes to the spa for a session of acupuncture.

She loves steak & eggs for breakfast, putting way too much inferno hot sauce on top! She likes her bacon extra crispy and nearly burnt & she also likes when her husband makes his eggplant-ground pork stuffed steamed buns.

Enyo surprisingly has her own glamour doll collectible!

One notable moment in her godly career was when she awarded the gold medal to a giantess named Atonia at the Olympic Tournament who broke the record for the javelin throw!

A favorite sweet treat of hers is chocolate cherry ice cream.

Enyo is well versed in many fighting styles including mixed martial arts, capoeira, kyusho jitsu (pressure point martial arts), muay thai, and pankration!

She once almost came to blows with Themis (Titaness of justice) after she rendered a verdict in a court case where Enyo was in attendance.

In the pantheon she's friends with Aegaeon (god of sea storms), Hysminai (goddess of fighting & combat), Gymnasia (goddess of excercise & gymnastics), Philotes (goddess of sex, friendship, & affection), Dyssebeia (goddess of ungodliness & impiety), Proioxis (goddess of attack, onrush, & battlefield pursuit), Dione, Adikia (goddess of injustice & wrongdoing), Kéfi (goddess of mirth), Atë (goddess of mischief, ruin, blind folly, delusion, & downfall of heroes), Hybris (goddess of insolence, hubris, & reckless pride), Lycana (Titaness of lycanthropy), Perses (Titan god of destruction), Menoetius (Titan god of anger, violence, & rash actions), Poena (goddess of punishment), Alastor (god of blood feuds & vengeance), Felis (Titaness of cats), and Kakia (goddess of vice & moral wrongdoing).

Enyo doesn't mind Athena (goddess of wisdom) and has on more than one occasion been impressed with her.

Outside the pantheon, she has friends who are Giants & Amazonians.

Enyo has been a mentor twice- to Lyssa (goddess of rage & frenzy) and Eris (goddess of strife & discord).

She loves getting the spicy BBQ rib sandwich from The Bread Box.

Enyo recently got married to her husband Polemos (god of the war cry) three months ago on a private beach in Sparta (this particular beach is known for its black sand). They first met a year ago during construction of the Thereitas military base in the city. To say their chemistry was instantaneous is an understatement! Perses jokingly remarked that the initial meeting was akin to "a bomb meeting a stick of dynamite." They couldn't keep their hands off each other during photos at the grand opening of the 2nd largest military base in New Olympus. A week after his divorce from Ioke (goddess of pursuit, tumult, & battle rout) was finalized, Polemos proposed to Enyo with a yellow gold band custom oval cut rhodolite garnet ring surrounded with yellow canary diamonds, rubies, & white diamonds. Her wedding dress was far from traditional (garnering an audible gasp from Hera)- a backless curve hugging sheer black dress with a corset bodice and tulle sheer skirt.

She loves the Olmorfia matte lipstick in "Carnivorous", a dark red color.

Enyo has a good relationship with her step-daughter Alala (goddess of war cry). When Alala visits they'll go shopping, check out the latest action movie at the cinema, & go to the gun range.

A guilty pleasure of hers are olympian sized cajun fries from Olympic Chef!

Her main job is overseeing the Thereitas military base with her husband. For other sources of income, she models for/endorses Delicious Xtasy, Megaleio, & atelier fantaisie. She also sometimes writes for The Oracle newspaper and O Dianooumenos. Enyo is also a professional wrestler! Her stage name is Black Widow & some of her signature moves include the riptide, pop-up body toss, prism trap, stalling suplex, & full nelson slam. There's excited and frightened buzz about an upcoming match between her & the cyclops Maneater.

She once knocked a mortal guy out cold when her tried grabbing her ass while she was walking with Alala.

One of her favorite gifts she Enyo ever got was the white gold bloodstone & onyx charm bracelet from her husband.

Kéfi gave her a swan shaped jeweled clutch from Diamond Ave. for Christmas.

Her & her husband are HUGE basketball fanatics! When watching games, they always rep for their favorite team- the Sparta Spears!

Some of Enyo's favorite foods include sausage & pepper skewers, feijoada with white rice, baião de dois, steak (well done) smothered in onions, lamb souvlaki, & moussaka.

In her free time she enjoys working out, sword fighting, boxing, mountain climbing, basketball, riding on dragonback, volleyball, archery, cliff diving, baseball, volcano boarding, clubbing, and lava surfing.

Milly Ashford: "Hi...?" Milly weakly greeted. She didn't seem hostile. "Um, my name is Milly Ashford and I work for the Britannia Times. If you wouldn't mind, despite the lack of prep time, can I interview you?"

Giantess (F, 20's, Black Hair, Lit. S/RP): The ground shook as the raven-haired giantess stood up to her full, towering height. She was perhaps 25 or 30 feet tall. Milly was a bit less than knee-high. Now looming over the scene, she put her hands on her hips and smiled. "Very well, little one. I suppose I might enjoy a chat."

Milly Ashford: "Good. Very good..." She blushed, trying not to look up the giantess' tunic. "Let's start off with something simple so that I may address you properly: what's your name?"

Giantess (F, 20's, Black Hair, Lit. S/RP): She cracked a thin smile, noticing the way Milly was deliberately avoiding her tunic-skirt. "I am called Titania. But you'll say yes ma'am and no ma'am to me. Is that understood, little one?"

Milly Ashford: "If it will make the interview easier for you to take, then...yes ma'am." Milly nodded. "Let's start off with another simple question: are you a giantess?"

Giantess (F, 20's, Black Hair, Lit. S/RP): It felt strange to yes ma'am someone who as seemingly about Milly's own age. "Yes, obviously. But what does the word' giantess' mean to you?"

Milly Ashford: "A mythological being, in this context. Not to insinuate anything but most people don't get this big." Milly said. "Why would a giantess want to spend time here?"

Giantess (F, 20's, Black Hair, Lit. S/RP): She thought for a moment, then nodded. Her wavy black hair breezed about in the wind. "You can think of me as a mythological being like a god or titan. That isn't inaccurate. And who says I want to be in this setting? Nevertheless, I find myself here..."

Milly Ashford: "I see. Is this environment hurting you in any way or do you just easily adapt to whatever area you find yourself in?"

Giantess (F, 20's, Black Hair, Lit. S/RP): "Yes, I've seen them. The lengths you little mortals must go to in order to mimic just a fraction of my power..." She returned Milly's smile.

Milly Ashford: "Ah heh...hopefully we'll learn to just leave well enough alone." Milly's smile was accentuated with a blush.

Giantess (F, 20's, Black Hair, Lit. S/RP): She took a huge step forward, shaking the ground and putting a huge boot right in front of Milly. Her shadow completely covered the girl. She looked straight down. "You're blushing."

Milly Ashford: "Am I? Are you sure it isn't the make-up?" Milly's blush grew brighter in the shade.

Giantess (F, 20's, Black Hair, Lit. S/RP): "Absolutely positive," the big woman rumbled confidently.

Milly Ashford: "I suppose I'm used to beautiful women being smaller than me, not so...much bigger." She explained.

Giantess (F, 20's, Black Hair, Lit. S/RP): The giant stared down at Milly for a moment. Her eyes were vast and cool. Then she chuckled. "Ah, I've seen this before. Some people your size can't help but be attracted to size and power, hmm? I suppose you're one of them."

Milly Ashford: "I suppose power is a weakness of mine...no matter what form it takes." Milly confessed, brushing a lock of hair behind her ear.

Giantess (F, 20's, Black Hair, Lit. S/RP): "Very well," the big woman boomed. "You can serve me. I'll give you the closeness you desire in return for your submission." She wiggled her nose in amusement, then gestured down at Milly. "Come closer. Touch me."

Milly Ashford: "Serve? In what fashion?" Used to being in positions of authority, Milly usually wouldn't be enthused at being volunteered for servitude in such a manner. But she still found herself approaching the giantess, touching Titania's leg with her hand.

Giantess (F, 20's, Black Hair, Lit. S/RP): "In every fashion, Milly. I deserve power and control. You'll use your own position to help me get it. You rank rather highly in this society, don't you?" Titania's shin was immense -- warm, smooth, and lovely to touch. The giant woman titled her face straight down to maintain a semblance of eye contact.

Milly Ashford: "I...I used to be nobility but currently, I am just a reporter." Milly revealed. Why is she being so open with a stranger? This isn't like her.

Giantess (F, 20's, Black Hair, Lit. S/RP): "What a shame. But I won't go back on my word. I already promised you the closeness with me that you seek in exchange for submission. And I'm a woman of my word." She slowly bent down to a massive bare knee. The ground shook from the impact. Her huge, smiling face leaned closer.
