Attributes and Guardian's
Team RWBY
Ruby's Attribute is Darkus and her Guardian Bakugan is Hynoid, To serve as Ruby's big bad wolf.
Weiss' Attribute is Aquos and her Guardian Bakugan is Monarus. A elegant Bakugan for a elegant Heiress.
Blake shares a Attribute with Ruby as she's also Darkus herself and her Guardian is a male Tigerra.
Yang's Attribute is unsurprisingly Pyrus with her Guardian being Ravenoid, given to her by Qrow.
Team JNPR
Jaune's Attribute is Haos and his Guardian happens to be Siege. A Royal Knight under the Dork Knights command.
Nora's Attribute is Subterra with her Guardian Bakugan being Tuskor, She wanted to find a Gorem but she isn't complaining about her War Elephant.
Pyrrha's Attribute is Pyrus and she happens to have the strongest Guardian Bakugan of the group, which is a Pyrus Lars Lion. A worthy Guardian for the Spartan.
Ren is Ventus with him having two Guardian Bakugans oppose to the others. His Guardians are a Serpenoid and a Rattleoid.

Rattleoid, ventus and her obvious ace, bit down into the subterra griffon’s wings, and flung the poor, strangled thing upwards, directly into the doom dimension, without breaking a sweat; it had had practice, clearly, at throwing bakugan to their equivalent of hell.
Shun shuddered. He felt sick, the poor kid he was stood next to collapsing to the floor, having lost his second bakugan. He sobbed quietly at his loss. Practice in throwing things into hell was never a good thing, especially in the context of a bakugan battle.
Hi did I ever mention I had a villain OC? She's called Halcyon (or Takami, if she's being a civilian), and she's designed to look a little... dead. Deader than how a vestal looks.
Day five
#I'm fully aware I'm over an hour late shush#senoctober#bakugan#shun kazami#bakugan oc#Takami Mochizuki#the kid is a generic one#halcyon is basically punishing a tricked-by-Masq kid who failed him. so halcyon goes out to deal with them#masq is busy scheming and also it gets Halcyon closer to her goals#Halcyon's goals only work in the Naga Wins AU though#yes her codename of Halcyon is for irony#she did not have any good days in the recent past#the bloodstain is not only a design choice. it's also a reminder for her so she doesn't start doubting herself#it's kinda hard to want to get revenge when one of your targets is weirdly sweet to you#this entire scene precedes Shun going off to Misaki cafe for hot chocolate and a talk#bc he gets freaked out a little#and Runo is good at listening apparently#rattleoid#griffon#centipoid

Okay, I think I've Got This Gyroid Thing Figured Out
So, I think gyroids are split into 3 groups (and 1 subgroup):
Rhythmic: Follows the rhythm/percussion of a song. Will not play over any other gyroid in this group, including itself (sorry, you can’t make the wallopoids fight each other).
Aluminoid
Dootoid
Drummoid
Wallopoid
Whirroid
Harmonic: Will harmonize with the song, seemingly singing along with it. Will also harmonize with each other.
Arfoid
Babbloid
Bubbloid
Bwongoid
Crumploid
Laseroid
Oinkoid
Petaloid
Ringoind
Rumbloid
Squeakoid
Squeezoid
Tockoid
Tremoloid
Twangoid
Whistloid
Xylophoid
Noisemakers: They're following a pattern, but I can't tell what it is. Their purpose seems to be to just make noise. Will harmonize with each other.
Boioingoid
Brewstoid
Jingloid
Rattleoid
Stelloid
Pseudo Noisemakers: They follow the same pattern as the harmonic gyroids, but their minimal tone/pitch change makes them come across as noisemakers. Could reasonably be called, “active noisemakers.”
Bendoid
Bloopoid
Boomoid
Clatteroid
Flutteroid
Scatteroid
Spikenoid
Sproingoid
Thwopoid
#acnh#animal crossing#new horizons#gyroids#any music majors probably wanna shoot me for the misuse of this terminology#but i think this'll work for us common folk#i still don't have them all#i'm basing this on a video i found#that has all the gyroids playing their 'natural' song#i lost the link (cuz it was in japanese)#but if i find it again i'lll add it to this post

Do you have any tips of naming bakugan ocs? I'm still on battle brawlers and don't have a good idea of the naming conventions (especially for bakugan themselves) so I'm not sure what to name my ocs.
(Given you're on the first season, I'll stick with humans as the alien race for brawlers. The Regulars would also work here but they're game exclusives so we'll ignore them.)
Short version: for humans, I suggest a name that references their chosen attribute and sounds nice when said in full. For bakugan, they can be named after mythology, historical people, or literally mutate an animal’s name to end in -oid.
Long version under cut.
Looking at my own OC list, I don’t think I have particular trends in names, other than only having a first and last name? Usually I pick two names that sound good together, but there are reasons behind a good few of them.
If we’re going for an OC to test the waters here, then I’d suggest a name that references their attribute (fire, earth, light/metal, dark/thunder, water, wind,) and a name that goes with it nicely, based on how it sounds. Aelia’s name, for reference here, translates to Thunderous Sun (Aelia-Sun, Taran-Thunder). She’s a darkus brawler.
You can, of course, look up what your name translates to, and find names that mean the same/a similar thing (Aelia’s first name does this).
As for bakugan... it probably helped that I’ve made fakemon before. For bakugan, naming conventions go out the window on occasion, with some bakugan named after something that’s similar to what they are (Hynoid, implying he’s a hyena, is in fact more of a jackal, which is what his JP name is!)
Rule of thumb; most bakugan end in -oid to denote that they’re similar to what they’re named (Dragonoid is a dragon, Serpenoid is a serpent, rattleoid is a rattle snake, Centipoid is a centipede. Juggernoid is an exception here, since his JP name is Juggernaut.)
Other bakugan are named after a mythological creature/being (Griffon is a gryphon, Manion is a Sphinx, with his JP name literally being Sphinx.)
Some bakugan just have names, as long as the thing they’re named after is famous. The game exclusive Leonidas is named after a Greek general/king of Sparta. He’s as battle ready as that name implies he is. He’s a dragon.
JP names are generally on the nose about it (Wormquake is just named Worm in JP), whereas the ENG names are typically fancy with names.
OC bakugan can follow any of these, whether you’re naming them after a mythological creature, a mythological person (Aelia’s main guardian, Arakna, fits here. She’s named after Arachne), or just an animal with -oid on the end.
#bakugan#bakugan oc#ask the tsuri#I would've pointed out Skyress for the mythology section but that's technically a spoiler? If you know her JP name#the arc Shun has about half way through Battle Brawlers is less impactful

In a rambly mood... Screw it, I'm talking about Takami.
So Takami's a bullied kid, bullied for cheating in a kid's card game with marbles. The reason is even worse when you find out that she was lead to believe that her opponent didn't mind.
Because of her blunder, the rule bender community in Bakugan, the one that she found herself in, now has a visual method to tell one of them apart (a badge, usually. Sometimes it's painted onto the back of jackets instead), and an extra password; all of this is to keep them from being banned for testing the limits of the rules.
Takami's relationship with Aiko, the brawler that tricked her for her own gain, is unfixable, much like the opinion of most of the player base towards Takami.
Hell, she's a shut in. She's had all her bakugan taken from her. All her cards, too, and her bakupod.
She can't return! She'd be noticed trying to, and stopped before she can do anything.
Right? Not quite, at least given that Alice gives her a new one, or two. To Alice, the second is a backup; just in case the other breaks.
But to Takami, there's one for her, and one for Halcyon. Takami knows she's Halcyon. Halcyon knows she's Takami. Masquerade knows too, but that's it, among humans.
While it's unclear how Takami even got her hands on bakugan again, she seems happy to have them.
Too bad they were stolen from collectors, huh? The brawlers don't need to know though! It's fine!
Halcyon herself uses a rattleoid, a tuskor (who knew they came in ventus!) and a ravenoid. Usually battling as clean up duty (Masquerade's useless minions need to be taught their lesson), Halcyon rarely uses the doom card, even wincing as she drops it into the field.
But she's not being controlled to do it.
Her goals aren't to do with the doom dimension, either. They're to do with Earth and Vestroia. Humans, and the twin cores.
Revenge mostly, of course, but this revenge, to her, needs extra purpose. So why not turn the people who banned her, and are working against her and Masquerade, into overflow batteries for Naga? Naga won't blow up from too much power, then!
If the batteries are rewarded richly after their punishment, then they shan't rebel, right? It's how that novel went, if Takami remembers correctly.
But one of them is so nice, does he really deserve all this? Of course he does he practically authorised her pain!
Although the second is blunt, and uncaring if his bluntness hurts, he did care that she was beaten by the bullies... Ah, but he only cared about that. He never cared about her.
Neither of them knew about the sub-community, they would've banned all of them if they knew. They'd hate knowing that their rules weren't good enough!
This story is a tradegy. Tragedies rarely have happy endings, and this one doesn't unless a miracle happens... but that's a fake out.
Is being locked up in your home out of pure guilt and helplessness (a loss) really worse than being locked away behind your hated alter ego (a win, technically, especially as it's a line of defense for Vestroia)? Takami doesn't know, but she'll have to figure out her answer one day.
For now, she just hopes that Naga can make good on his promise; heal her scars, and erase her Aiko-caused problems.
#bakugan#bakugan oc#Takami Mochizuki#i can't coherence rn#I'm hoping it's coherent? it's kinda structured like my thoughts#so yk. probably unreadable.#i harm my ocs on a daily basis as it turns out#but Takami gets no fluff to soften the blows
