Therapeutic Benefits of Guggulu-Based Ayurvedic Formulations at Sahasrayogam
Guggulu-based formulations hold a significant place in Ayurvedic medicine due to their broad range of therapeutic benefits. Guggulu, derived from the resin of the Commiphora mukul tree, is well-known for its potent anti-inflammatory, detoxifying, and rejuvenating properties, making it a valuable ingredient in managing various health conditions.
At Sahasra Yogam, a variety of Guggulu-based products are available, each targeting specific health issues. For example, Yogaraja Guggulu is one of the most prominent formulations. It contains a blend of herbs and minerals that support the treatment of conditions related to joint and nerve health, such as osteoarthritis, gout, and other Vata-related disorders. The combination of ingredients like Sunthi (ginger), Pippali (long pepper), and Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) makes this product effective in reducing inflammation and balancing bodily doshas. It is recommended for ailments such as Sandhigata Vata, which involves joint degeneration, and Amavata, commonly linked to rheumatoid arthritis
Another popular product is Panchatikta Ghritha Guggulu, which is formulated with ingredients like Nimba (neem), Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia), and Amalaki (Indian gooseberry). This combination helps in managing skin disorders like eczema, psoriasis, and other inflammatory conditions. It is also indicated for treating bone and joint-related diseases, making it effective for managing Asthigata Vata and Kushta
Guggulu-based formulations are traditionally used for their ability to balance the body's metabolism and detoxify tissues. They are prescribed for a wide array of conditions, ranging from obesity and cholesterol management to digestive disorders and cardiovascular health. The detoxifying nature of Guggulu helps in clearing ama (toxins) from the body, which is often the root cause of many chronic illnesses.
In Ayurvedic practice, these formulations are recommended with specific adjuvants (Anupana) such as warm water, honey, or herbal decoctions, depending on the patient's constitution and ailment. Sahasra Yogam ensures that all Guggulu products adhere to classical Ayurvedic texts, such as the Sarangadhara Samhita and Bhaishajya Ratnavali, ensuring that patients receive authentic, traditional remedies
By integrating these formulations into daily wellness routines, individuals can experience relief from various ailments while also promoting long-term health and balance in the body.

What are the causes of suffering and happiness?
"The Ratnavali of Nagarjuna says, 'Every action arising from desire, aversion and ignorance produces suffering; every action arising from the absence of desire, aversion and ignorance produces happiness.
"Now, there are three kinds of people: lower persons, middling persons, and higher persons. Like all other beings, the lowest person wants happiness and wants neither suffering nor rebirth in the lower realms of existence, so he practises Buddhism to create the causes of rebirth in the human realm or in the heavenly realms of the gods. He does not have the power or the courage to leave worldly existence completely. He only wants the best parts of worldly existence, and he wants to avoid the worst ones, and that is why he practises the Buddhist religion: in order to get a higher rebirth.
"The middling sort of person understands that the whole of worldly existence, no matter where one is born, is suffering by nature, just as fire is hot by nature. He wants to get out of it altogether and attain Nirvana, the state that is entirely away from suffering.
"The highest person realises that, just as he himself or her herself does not want to suffer, and wants happiness, so also do all living beings have the same fears and wishes.
He knows that, since we have been born again and again from beginning less time into worldly existence, there is not a single sentient being who has not been our mother and father at one time or another. Since we are that close to all sentient beings, the best person is the one who practises Buddhism to remove all these countless beings from suffering."

Tulsidas - From Asceticism to Authorship
Tumblr media
Tulsidas, born in 1532 in Rajapur, India, transcended the ordinary course of life to become a revered saint-poet. His journey, marked by asceticism and an unwavering devotion to Lord Rama, took a transformative turn when divine visions led him to become an author of profound spiritual works. From a life of renunciation to the creation of literary masterpieces, Tulsidas' story is a compelling narrative of spiritual evolution and literary excellence.
Early Years and Renunciation
Tulsidas, originally named Rambola, was raised in a devout Brahmin family immersed in the worship of Lord Rama. Early in his life, a proclivity for spirituality became apparent. However, it was the untimely death of his wife Ratnavali that served as a catalyst for his renunciation of worldly life. Tulsidas, seeking solace and purpose, chose the path of asceticism.
His pilgrimage to sacred sites, including Varanasi, became a crucible for self-discovery. Tulsidas immersed himself in contemplative practices, questioning the transient nature of existence, and seeking deeper truths. This ascetic phase laid the groundwork for the spiritual insights that would later find expression in his literary endeavors.
Divine Vision and Literary Calling
The turning point in Tulsidas' life came with a divine vision of Lord Rama, who instructed him to compose an epic poem narrating his life and teachings. This profound encounter redirected Tulsidas from the ascetic's silent introspection to the bustling realm of authorship. The divine directive marked the inception of the monumental work, the "Ramcharitmanas."
Tulsidas' transition from asceticism to authorship was not merely a change of occupation but a seamless integration of his spiritual experiences into literary expression. The divine vision became the driving force behind his creative endeavors, infusing his writing with a sense of purpose and divine inspiration.
Ramcharitmanas: An Epic in Awadhi
Tulsidas' most significant literary contribution, the "Ramcharitmanas," stands as a testament to his spiritual depth and literary brilliance. Composed in Awadhi, a language accessible to the common people, the epic bridged the gap between the esoteric realm of spiritual wisdom and the everyday lives of the masses.
The "Ramcharitmanas" is more than a retelling of the Ramayana; it is a spiritual guide that encapsulates the essence of dharma, devotion, and the moral dilemmas faced by individuals. Tulsidas' narrative prowess and poetic finesse transformed the epic into a timeless masterpiece, revered not only for its literary merit but also for its profound spiritual teachings.
Hanuman Chalisa: Devotion in Verse
Tulsidas' literary journey extended beyond the "Ramcharitmanas" with the composition of the Hanuman Chalisa. This devotional hymn, consisting of forty verses, became a celebration of Hanuman's virtues and a potent expression of unwavering devotion. The Hanuman Chalisa, with its rhythmic verses, has transcended religious boundaries, resonating with devotees across diverse backgrounds.
The shift from asceticism to authorship found a poignant expression in the Hanuman Chalisa. Tulsidas, once immersed in silent contemplation, now channeled his devotion into verses that continue to inspire millions. The simplicity and depth of the hymn reflect Tulsidas' ability to communicate profound spiritual truths in accessible language.
Challenges and Literary Triumphs
Tulsidas' transition to authorship was not without challenges. Skepticism and societal criticism questioned the authenticity of his divine visions. Yet, Tulsidas' literary triumphs became a testament to the authenticity of his spiritual experiences. His ability to withstand external pressures and persist in his literary pursuits showcased a resilience born out of genuine faith.
The challenges only added layers to Tulsidas' literary legacy. His writings, born from a synthesis of spiritual realization and creative expression, withstood the test of time, influencing generations of readers and thinkers.
Legacy and Impact
Tulsidas' legacy endures as a luminary of both spirituality and literature. His journey from asceticism to authorship has left an indelible mark on the cultural and religious fabric of India. The "Ramcharitmanas" and the Hanuman Chalisa continue to be revered scriptures, guiding countless individuals on their spiritual journeys.
In the annals of literature, Tulsidas stands as a beacon, illustrating that the path of devotion and the pursuit of knowledge are not mutually exclusive. His life narrative inspires aspiring authors and spiritual seekers alike, reminding them that the journey of faith can seamlessly integrate into the creative process, producing works that transcend time and resonate across diverse audiences. Tulsidas, the ascetic-author, remains a timeless figure whose influence extends far beyond the pages of his literary creations.

Yamilet had agreed to haul the metal vampire out of is him with Vali. It wasn’t overly difficult just had to bat their eyes and he gave in. Her on one of his arms and Ratnavali on the other, but Yamilet made sure she wasn’t pressed against him. “I think i see a freetable over there we can jump on” not to far from the bar or dancefloor
Tumblr media
Hector hadn’t been to any form of event since everything had happened, he had come to the conclusion that such attention wouldn’t help him come to terms with what had happened to him. But when he had two models either side of him he felt like the eyes that were on them wasn’t because of what he was and more who he was with. He’d come dressed as Robocop so wore practically nothing since he was already mostly metal, but he'd brought a jacket “This place is rather breathtaking done up like this” he spoke taking off his jacket when they were at the table and moved to help Ratnavali with hers “Do either of you know the hosts?”

Ratnavali knew it was time that the siblings caught up, so she invited them both over to her place. She got some of the little goodies from that restaurant in the casino and set the table up all nice. She did miss hosting dinner parties, but that was about the only thing she missed from her human life. Farid arrived first, not a surprise, and she greeted him with a hug at the door. “Brother! I’ve missed you, come in, come in. I’m certain Gagan with be right behind you,” she remarked and held the door wide open, gesturing to the sofa with her warm. “How have you been?”

"Come, dance with me,” Ratnavali encouraged and held her hands out to Shiva. “I don’t care if you can’t or you don’t or whatever. It’ll be fun, I promise.”
