Reblogging is like reposting an activity, but with a permanent link to op, and you can add your own thoughts in the tags or on the post itself. Very nifty. It's that little 🔄 symbol at the bottom.

Likes are a good short-form validation, and also a way to save posts so you can find them again later.

Comments are good for sharing your thoughts without having the post on your account for whatever reason.

Tags are optional, but useful for both organization and extra commentary that will stay on your blog (unless someone likes your tags. Then they may copy/screenshot and add to the post, or copy them in their own tags.)

if you trigger tag something, don't censor the trigger. That will only make it harder for people who have that tag blocked to avoid it.

"Copying is ok" rules for tags don't apply to art; art is to be reblogged, not copy-pasted, unless given permission from the artist. It's also polite to credit an artist if you use their art for a header/pfp, and/or ask beforehand!

That said, gifs are free game pretty much, since they have built-in credit to whoever uploaded them.

When posting images it's helpful to use the alt text feature to add a description, or add one in the body of the post below or above the picture, since A; it's helpful for those who use screen readers, and B; sometimes pictures don't load and the description is sometimes vital to tell what the heck's going on, screenreader or no.

Ask boxes are for things you don't mind being publicly viewed; messages are for private discussions.

Anonymous asks are optional, meaning some people may have them turned off. Anon hate is unfortunately common and many people opt to avoid it.

Block and report bots on sight. Report for spam/bot violations; even if they're an nsfw bot, reporting for sexual content won't do anything to get rid of them. Bots are pretty recognizable when you know what to look for, as their blog will either be blank/have a insta model pfp and generic URL, or...be full of untagged porn.

Bots come in waves; there'll be a lot at once, then they'll die off to a handful, then eventually come back. It's a neverending battle!

You can block tags to avoid seeing content you don't like. To do this you go into "account" in the settings menu, and type whatever you wanna block in the content filters section.

Turn on timestamps! That way you can know if info is outdated, or just in general have a time frame for when something was made.

Block rather than argue. You'll be happier in the long run. Hell, even if someone just kinda gets on your nerves or yucks your yum, but especially if it's serious, since reporting does next to nothing and arguing just won't change someone who's stuck in their ways, and it's not your job to fix everyone who's wrong. Block their account and if you want, block their name on the filtered content. Chances are they won't even know or care so don't worry that it's rude.

Hey Anon (and the other anon's that have sent this link to me too!),

I took the time to go and read @explorevenus Leon story on AO3 and also @zombiekillerbiceps one-shots that were flagged in @manikas-whims post because I'm not part of that RE community myself. I wanted to understand the extent of this and understand if it was blatant plagarism or someone mistakenly taking inspiration too far.

I'm really disappointed that I instantly recognized what I'd read as having come from those 2 writers and just thesaurus shifted key words here and there. I don't know enough about AI to be able to comment on the AI-assisted writing claim, but that claim is kind of irrelevant to me at this point given the evidence I read with my own eyes from those other 2 writers for the main claims. I don't see a way to support reading that series going forwards. They are young, made a mistake in judgement and I hope they comprehend it and correct course.

As someone that for all intents and purposes raw dogs my writing and just hits create post on tumblr and vomits everything out of my head onto the keyboard with minimal editing, I don't understand the drive for people to do things like this, it feels very...soulless? Manufactured? If I don't have 4-6 hours to sit down and flesh something out from start to finish and let my imagination flow, I don't post fics (which is why no one has seen anything from me for about 3 weeks while I've been moving!).

I stand by my comment to @dollgxtz that if people are not a fan of someone's content and how it is written, that rather than actively sending that person hate or death threats as they have gotten, that they should block them and move on to remove them from their timeline. Not every piece of content is going to suit every person, but I'm not here to spend my time on the internet yucking anyone's yums, if I don't like how someone writes a character or I don't like a style of kink I just don't interact with it (and I'm not going to lose sleep if anyone doesn't like how I write for Zayne and Sylus and chooses not to interact with my works).

I don't like Michael Gavey because I was an awkward, quiet, nerdy kid, and I had a Michael Gavey.

I think a lot of awkward, quiet, nerdy kids do- a friend who isn't really a friend. You're together out of circumstance, because they're a dork too, but you don’t have anything in common other than being on the outside. What makes that friend a Gavey is that this friend isn't interested in having you on an even footing; they want you to be the rung lower on the social ladder. To be their bootlicker.

Gavey is a maths genius. That's his thing. Like Oliver, he probably went to Oxford expecting to find people like him and found himself in another popularity contest... And he's pissed about it.

He's not socially oblivious. One of the first things he points out to Oliver is that everyone around them already has friends, that they're all from the same schools, and Oliver is alone. In fact, he's already bitter about it- "so you're a Norman No-Mates too, Oliver Quick?"

Oliver is oblivious, and he tells Gavey as much. So, what does Michael do?

FUCKING ASK ME A SUM, THEN.

That interaction is grim, because Michael knows what he's doing. He forces Oliver into doing what he wants by embarrassing him, on the first night at uni, in front of their assembled peers. Gavey doesn't give a shit if people think he's weird, because he’s already decided that everyone else there is beneath him and his calculator brain... He just hates that they aren't worshipping him for it.

You also see this in the pub scene. Michael complaining about a girl in his tutorial group.

MATE. SHE GOT IN TO DO MATHS AT OXFORD. SHE CAN DO HER FUCKING TIMES TABLES. He’s just pissed that someone else was getting attention, because MICHAEL GAVEY IS RIGHT THERE. WITH HIS SPECIAL GENIUS BRAIN. It's got to be that it's just because this tutor is distracted by some tits, not that the whole Oxford Maths department isn't there specifically to tell him how special he is.

This need to be superior is why Gavey's so invested in Oliver. Their limited interactions aren't good. There's no banter, no jokes- it's just Gavey being bitter and negging Oliver.

This whole fucking interaction sums it up.

Michael interrupts Oliver.

Michael tells Oliver about a way they've been excluded- one Oliver didn't even know about.

Michael knocks Oliver's attempt at being positive in the dirt.

Michael then rubs Oliver's face in it- giving Oliver a tiny little bit of hope (maybe he did get an invite, he could check?) then crushing it.

Would you do that to someone you considered a friend? Fucking doubt it.

Michael Gavey wants Oliver to be his little subordinate. To feed his ego, nod along when he rants about girls who can't do maths and how much the alpha hotties suck. He's the popularity equivalent of a temporarily embarrassed millionaire- rather than admitting that people don't like him for actual reasons and working on that... Instead he tries to turn Oliver into his little whipping boy yes-man.

He doesn't just call Oliver a bootlicker because he's gone over to the rich kids- he calls Oliver a bootlicker because that's all the value he sees in Oliver, and he's mad Ollie isn’t slobbering on his feet.

ok I'm not saying i disliked arcane season 2 at all, it was very fun to watch and gorgeous

but like. having rewatched season 1, season 2 really is all over the place with the plot 😵‍💫😵‍💫

(dont read below if you loved it? no reason to yuck your yum. these are just my personal opinions, and once again, i really enjoyed watching it nonetheless)

the first thing i disliked initially was Vi joining the police force. she is so heavily against it in season 1, spends years in prison, has the entire backstory of them killing her parents. that really diluted her character for me, it would be easier to believe she was aiding the police rather than joining

then Caitlin being appointed as General (by Ambessa?). i might be missing something here bc i don't understand why the city would go for that, why even the police would go for that. she seems to have very little success in anything she does in season 1 up to ep 1 of s2.

(that being said Ambessas's motivation is very clear and she sticks to it so well, it's great for her to have someone she can manipulate easily so she goes for Cait, etc. She is one of the high points of the season for me)

the black rose thing and Mel's kidnapping was fun but very confusing. In the end what bothers me is how generic Mel's powers are, and how they seem to be able to do anything but what they're described as (?)

Isha and Jinx adopting her was also very underdeveloped for me to believe in it. From the beginning it's clear they introduce Isha as a redemption and downfall for Jinx, though I do like the motif of parenting bringing humanity to "evil" characters. The flaw in this for me is how Isha has very little background, we know nothing about her so she serves as a plot point for Jinx and barely anything else. I did love the watercolor-esque memories sequence and that was what i wanted more of i guess, more of her perspective and her wants and needs.

also i don't understand why she would do what she did. its a bit beyond suspension of disbelief that she would blow herself up for me.

obviously Caitlin immediately flip flopping to Vi's side after that montage of training with Ambessa (where once again there is the motif of parenting) is very confusing. I believe in the power of lesbians but this is a bit too much even for me. Gimme a bit more to work with to make this believable yknow?

There's something about Viktor's arc that bothers me too but I'm not sure what yet?

something else that stuck with me is how the final fight is set up. isn't it a bit too easy to call for all people from topside to zaun to come together? they spend half the season making the relationship between these territories worse to then solve it immediately with the classic we must come together to face a worse enemy. i think it would have worked great if season 1 hadnt done an amazing job of showing how nuanced and complex this relationship is.

"Humbug (Insecta hymenoptera) average around 7ft/2.1m tall. They are lightweight monsters that travel long distances to collect the nectar and pollen from the flowering megaflora of the monster world. They are an integral species to all of the temperate to tropical environments around as they are a major pollinator of those megaflora.

To travel around faster they evolved to be able to glide on the interdimensional fabric making up the world with their unique membranous wings. It works best in humid environments, but will work anywhere. Their heightened ability to orient themselves in the multiverse helps with navigation.

They primarily feed on honey that they make. The honey making process starts with the wax that forms from glands on the bottom of their abdomens between the plates making up the abdomen. Humbugs chew this wax and then form it into hexagonal combs they secure to walls or floors of their homes. They then go out and collect nectar from plants and store it in a special variation of a holding stomach (When I make a post on basic monster anatomy I'll explain what a holding stomach is) used solely to store nectar. They then deposit the nectar from this stomach into the combs and fan off the extra water occasionally for about a month. Then they cap off the honey and store it for later consumption. Humbugs eat honey about three a month so they have plenty of time to make their food.

They don’t feed solely off of honey as commonly believed, for protein they eat pollen they brush out of their fur. They have specialized leg joints that have a special groove in the back that functions as a press. They put the pollen between this press and press it down into a solid chunk they can eat more easily than the stray powder. They eat this pollen almost every day during the flower breeding season. They will store extra for times when flowers aren’t producing pollen.

Contrary to popular belief they aren’t that venomous, at most their sting will cause mild irritation unless you are allergic to it. What they are is highly poisonous, which isn’t a worry to you as you aren’t going to be eating one of these fellows. They have their bright banded coloring as a warning sign, and their distinctive sound spells out danger for any potential predators before they try to eat the Humbug.

(Just a quick reminder that these are written by a Bowgart character I made) Fly Humbugs are native to earth island and have a reddish tint to them, two pairs of arms, compound eyes, and a different mouth. They evolved their unique mouth to lap up fluids rather than drinking them. And instead of the sweet syrups the common counterpart consumes, fly Humbugs consume carrion and rotting plant fluids. Quite rancid stuff, but you can’t yuck someone else's yum, as a Bowgart other monsters often think it’s gross that I eat frogs and I find that quite annoying.

The reason they evolved their drab coloring is unknown, as they are highly venomous and don’t have a reason not to stand out. Speaking of venom, their venom is not only a major blood clotting agent it’s also acidic and can dissolve things unlike the common’s very mild sting.

Snouted Humbugs have blue stripes, have beaked faces, two pairs of arms, and have a bunch of balancing organs to orient themselves while traveling through dimensions. They completely lack stingers or venom so instead they amped up their toxicity and developed bright colors that stand out anywhere to warn creatures that may try and eat them.

They eat plant fluids that they suck up with their beaks. They prefer fruit fluids but most plants don’t want all the energy they put into producing fruits to attract creatures to their flowers so they kept evolving tougher skins to keep the humbugs out. But the humbugs keep evolving sharper beaks in a never ending evolutionary arms race. Though some plants took the more productive route and evolved to drop pollen on whatever eats their fruits rather than relying on things getting their faces close enough to the stamens like other flowers.(Monster digestion works differently than ours so fruits serve a different purpose in the monster world)

Humbugs live in warm, preferably damp environments, most of them live in the poison affected parts of the pocket dimension and the overgrown caverns in earth island. They construct their homes with materials around them and use their wax as an adhesive to stick things together. Because of their natural inclination to build homes they make excellent carpenters. When a large group of Humbugs get together they will often use the larger amount of wax to create wax-based hives for them to all live in.

Humbug eggs hatch in similarly warm and wet environments as their adult counterparts. Humbug undergo complete metamorphosis and have two larval and a nymph stage of life. They start out as a very basic, three-segmented larva, no limbs, only nubs of what develop to be their fingers. Then they molt into the toddler larva after about five years, which have simple fleshy nubs, the upper two sport those aforementioned fingers. Then once they reach about 10-12 they enter their teenage nymph phase where they just look like less fluffy wingless adults. Slowly they grow in fur after a few molts and once they reach 30 they grow their wings.

lowkey I would rather ship Weiss with a can of tuna before I ship her with Jaune💀 and I cannot explain why I dislike him so much(which actually bothers me usually I feel like i have solid reasons) but when it comes to Jaune I can't think of any that are satisfying.

And before people say I'm hating just to hate. I'm not I love most of the male characters in rwby because they were presented in a much better way e.g Ren Qrow Ironwood Ozpin all of these characters had something about them that made them interesting and more appealing to learn more about they had a sense of "You're a little strange.... why?" Which is important to me at least to get your audience to like said character. With jaune home boy started out acting so "woe is me 😔 I'm never gonna be good enough" and that is an immediate turn off his vast lack of self of steam (other than flirting with Weiss for some reason) was just so Fustrating. Because in a world like Remnant you can't afford to have that sort of attitude but then still want to be a hunter

RWBYs general messy writing aside I feel like when it comes to Jaune there's just something about his compatibility with both Pyrrha and Weiss that I instantly hated it didn't feel equal or natural but after finally watching the cross over I was actually suprised with how mildly intriguing him and Jessica were.

A lot can be said about the ships of Rwby and I do think some have more natural chemistry than others there are a few that I just know for a fact I'd hate to sit through as a viewer and kinda hate that I do. (Terrible addiction I've got here)

Jaune and Weiss kinda feels very.... forced of course they have both changed a lot since Vol 1 but they seldom did any of the growth... together which if your going to devolp some sort of romantic tension or something they kinda have to interact outside the bounds of Weiss just shutting him down

Pyrrha and Jaune were unbalanced. In the sense that what we did see of them in the show it was really Jaune was so full of self doubt it felt like without Pyrrhas constant support he'd wither away and die and Pyrrha was also full on the poster child for "I can fix him!" And I just hate that trope all together but ironically even with all her "fixing" she still didn't trust Jaune to fight along side her at that tower. And isn't that like one of the most important things in a relationship? Of course on some level she was doing it to save him but I feel like she would have had less hesitancy, if her partner had been stronger or even a proper student 🤭

Which is another Intresting point I think about often, what if Pyrrha was partnered with someone else would she have gone alone still? Or not. It's hard to speculate about that I mean I saw so very little of her to fully form a character assessment. But anyway I'm not tryna yuck anyone's yum if you do ship either Arkos or WhiteKnight you obviously see something I dont and that's the great thing about storytelling I guess but to me at least they both feel very off. 🤷

I hate it when people make reaction videos with Redacted content.. This is mainly about Erik's channel, but it can also go for the rest of those asmr creators if need be. Especially with the new trend of people making jokes bf asmr content, which also fucking hate that casual creators are playing into, a lot of people will come across the channel. Yeah I do think most people don’t necessarily see it as Rebecca cheating on Rupert with him, but rather it happening post-separation! It's not often I dip my toes into shipcourse, as an adult who does not like minor/adult ships or harassment and would rather curate my environment in a way that allows me to pretend the former doesn't exist than go out of my way to engage with it for cheap internet outrage points, but one place where the proship ideology loses me is in this idea of having to go along to get along. Hi! Just wanted to share a hopefully-less-inflamtory viewpoint on the numbers theories. It bothers me absolutely nothing if any one person does or doesn't buy into the theories but for me, it's definitely on a scale. I'm personally more open to the blatant number examples rather than the ones that require extrapolation.

Example: Jimin's Live with the not current time on his watch.

Fairly low hurdle to jump to connect it to JKs birth time. Especially since it was right at the beginning of the Live and very easily could have been intentionally set.

Example: JK's post time being linked to JM's birth time.

This is more of a stretch for me whenever addition needs to be applied. Seems rather arbitrary when the decision is made to apply addition or not. Why sometimes the full date is included and other times it isn't.

As someone who is paid to generate data analytics for a worldwide organization, I can attest that the exact same data points can be used to draw exact opposite conclusions given any set of data. It's all about the justification in why specific methods are applied in each case.

In conclusion though, we are all just strangers on the internet in pursuit of elevating our fandom experience by having these discussions and absolutely no one should be criticized for what level they choose to partake. In other words: Don't Yuck someone else's Yum!

Oh yes. I agree with you on the addition of numbers and dates.

There is a way to do it that is constant and simple.

I've been trying to get someone to explain the exact way the dates and times should be added but I haven't found it so far which is why I've been cautious with that.

From what I've observed in kjkkr tweets, they add the time only. But perhaps, I haven't seen enough.

Of course, adding an interpretation to the patterns is up to each person. But I wonder how you view this since these patterns have been observed since 2015. Can it still be said that we are drawing conclusions from something that has been happening for years? At what point can it be taken as a "fact"? When does a hypothesis become a theory in the scientific sense? It's when things can be proven but how would this be proven? Do we have to do statistical analysis? I'm curious.

Honestly, makes me sad that a small (well... I wouldn't say small small but like not exactly popular?) fandom space is already dealing with shipping drama because no one can handle someone being squicked out by something, especially considering I'm a fan of said ship too. Like, someone disliking and critiquing a ship you enjoy is not a personal attack, what happened to 'don't let someone live in your head rent free'? Or fucking blocking/muting/ignoring and move on? It sucks the fun out when over zealous fans are complaining about someone who's supposedly complaining their ship. You're right and you should say it. I wish I could like the ship more but I too am just drained by all the constant drama. I also use Twitter and on Twitter we had a massive drama over there several weeks back because several artists were pr0shippers and I'm already on the side of "I'm too tired and employed to be dealing with this" without this thrown into the mix. I'm tired. I'm done. This ship could've been cute but half the time, the ship is yelling at me so I'd rather not engage.

When I heard that this drama was (supposed) caused by one singular 14 year old posting in the tags, I let out the biggest sigh because like. I'm sorry. 14 year olds are going to say dumb crap in the tags sometimes. The other word for "minor" is "kid". This is a child we're fighting about. We are sharing a space with children because that's how websites be and we need to learn not to fight with actual kids.

Instead of once more stirring the pot and making people who don't like the ship but are quiet about it uncomfortable by once more stirring the "let's debate the age gap and why it shouldn't matter" pot, what should've been done is a "hey don't engage with this user, they're saying stupid stuff in the tags" and move on, because at the end of the day, yes age gaps even between two adults will squick some people out and we should respect that some person heard the "I watched you when I was a tadpole!" line and went "nope". Some people's yuck is another person's yum, as they said ten years ago. Maybe.

In short, this could've been handled way better than flooding the damn tag with arguing. Let's just block/mute and move on.

If the piece of art is from a fandom, the characters Must Be Over 18 years of age or of canon species adult age.

"How long."

Heat was already filtering through the barricaded door seams. There was no glow yet, but it would not take much time for the tell tale cherry red to signify the advancing enemies attempts to break into the cell. Fortified as it was, the very security measures that had been put in place to keep a powerful and unruly prisoner contained was now proving to be a hindrance. A brief flick of a membrane and the world changed. Shapes and color swapped out for heat. The lights above, the three bodies behind and the point of contact where the thermal cutter ripped into reinforced metal bright and vibrant.

Well, two of the bodies behind were vibrant. The third was much cooler than it ought to have been. Vents above the point of restraint for the bulky, muscular alien had a layer of ice around the edges that had yet to fully melt. It was smart, keeping a species that preferred climates as hot as they could get them at just above freezing. It slowed them down. And were it any other type of being that was forced to kneel on the floor with five inch metal straps around every joint, enough drugs to knock out a herd of burden beasts and a muzzle-Isao might have thought the cryo vents were overkill.

No one who had half a non radiated brain cell underestimated a Yautja. Those who were insane enough to try and capture one clearly had never learned from the mistakes of others who had attempted such a feat in the past. So the cryo vents were mandatory. The small point of heat on an otherwise deep blue door lock was growing. And the woman who stood as close to the bound warrior as she could get without risking activating the vents was still waiting for an answer.

“Five minutes.”

Instantaneous translation via the tech chip that Isao could see behind the woman’s ear. It was a handy piece of work. The change in vision didn’t help to hide the panicked expression that crossed an expressive face. Didn’t disguise the change in her scent, or the tensing of her body. Five minutes. Both an eternity and a blink of an eye. Nothing at all. Far too short to free the Yautja from the bindings that held him down let alone to flush his system of the drugs used to keep him docile. Far too short a time for them to try and flee into the air systems 20 feet above at the ceiling.

They wouldn’t have been willing to leave the kneeling figure anyway. In her arms, the woman's suckling was trying to reach out to the male. Keening little clicks chirrups and half formed words in a language few could speak attempting to garner the adults attention. The child did not try to get down though, sensing that the danger outside was far closer to reaching them in their temporary little bubble than anyone would like to believe.

A sharp sting that faded into a dull ache. Halsin had heard that a true vampire bite could be exquisitely pleasurable. The pain of Astarion’s, though minor enough, told the druid that he was a spawn, the commonest class of his particular kind of monster. His interest in knowing just how the tadpole was accomplishing such feats only grew as he felt the first tugs against his sensitizing flesh.

“Ngh..”

Ears perking at the sound, Halsin gripped at the folds of his pants with the hand that was behind the vampire's back. That had not been faked. Another soft, barely audible sound of delight as the male fed from his wrist had the druid’s breath hitching. The enjoyment of pleasures, both simple and carnal, delighted him. Called to his instincts to provide for and pamper those he kept in his confidence.

The sight of the occupant of his lap with half lidded eyes and flushed cheeks because of what he was granting sent a sharp zing of desire flitting through his limbs.

Unabashed, uncontrived contentment. No picture perfect smirks, no posing to let whoever was watching get the best angle of his body. Simple satisfaction through having a need met. Repressing a shudder as his cock began to fill, Halsin allowed a smile to tug at his lips as the faint movement caused the vampire to pull his captured limb closer, fingers tightening as if the other male would try and rip it away prematurely.

Being a big man, he had more to give than another might. Carefully counting the gulps that Astarion took, Halsin allowed his intuition to guide his actions as he slid his fingers up into the white hair at the base of the other elves' skull. Taking a firm grip without pulling just yet, the druid spoke in a low tone. Too loud of a volume he felt would break the spell, and he wanted to enjoy the sight before him a little while longer.
