What is Doc’s greatest wish and greatest fear?

[🧪] “HAH! Well, that’s a doozy to throw at someone!” Doc sputtered out a laugh before he cleared his throat. He hadn’t meant to laugh, not at such an innocuously genuine question. It was just … well …

“I’m, uh— not too sure anymore. And I don’t think anyone in their right mind has the time to hear all about my ever-growing list of greatest fears.” He smirked. A self-jab at his own paranoia, and enough of one to warrant a snort of amusement for himself, too.

Once upon a time, he’d consider his greatest wish to be amongst the stars— to be someone GREAT. Look how well that worked out for him. He even remembered at one point, he never used to have so many fanatic fears. Didn’t look over his shoulder so much, didn’t wake up in the middle of the night from his own self-made terror.

After everything, he supposed his greatest wish and fear were one of the same in the end. He wanted a new life for Ophelia. A happier, softer one. That’d be his own redemption. He’d stop at nothing to ensure that would never be lost for her.

“Don’t you worry ‘bout the thoughts of an old man. I'm sure you have more important things to worry 'bout, yeah?”

“Um, excuse me. Would you uh- would you happen to know where I am?” Chitterskit asked, looking up at Dennis.

“U-um. Hello. I was sent here to interact with humans. T-to get used to them.” Chitterskit said, looking up at Thursday. “Erm, my name is Chitterskit.”

Being in alliance with the Conservatory, Thursday has gone to great lengths to welcome Chitterskit today. She's made sure to give each of the Office residents a heads up on her arrival, including Dorian, who would have otherwise gotten quite excitable at the appearance of the new guest and likely frightened her. She's also prepared a table full of foods that she understands ratfolk might like. There is also a quiet room set up specifically for the rats, with stress relieving toys and white noise machines to help cut down on any stress they might experience. And, when she greets Chitterskit, she does so by kneeling down, so that they're more on the same level and hopefully Thursday doesn't seem so tall and imposing.

"Yes, hello, Chitterskit! My name is Thursday - just like the day of the week. I'm very pleased to meet you," she says, holding out a hand for the ratfolk to shake if she likes. "I know the Office might seem a bit scary, but I promise there is nothing here that will hurt you. Some things that might seem a bit scary and weird at first! But trust me, they're all more scared of me than they are scary themselves, ahahaha. They take one look at me and say 'nope'. So you're perfectly safe here."

Sandwiches aren't his favorite option for meals, but he won't refuse them if that's what's served. Especially when his Little Nanao spoils him with a fresh made fruit sando. Juushiro says he's just biased, but he would swear on his life that the cream in her sandwiches was just a tiny bit sweeter than the others they could get ahold of. Same as her bread is just a bit denser than most white breads; he likes it better that way.

The last of the berries are shined up something nice and returned into the little critter's hands as Saul leans down to make it a bit less awkward for the both of them.

Never thought he'd come across a talkin' rat, never mind one that liked to write. But everything he'd seen so far had been nothing but a pleasant surprise.

"Oh, nearly forgot to introduce myself!" He laughs good-naturedly, and sticks out a hand, "my name's Salamander, but you can call me Saul if you'd like. Always nice to meet to meet new folk 'round here." A pause, and he tilts his head to the side, "...what's a movie?"

"Pardon me, didn't mean to run right into ya!"

They were too busy looking at something in a shop window. Happens more than you think! "Here, lemme help ya pick all this up."

Thursday "Headcanons"

If Thursday likes someone, they will give them a pretty rock.

Thursday has a knife under their bed. (She might!)

Thursday bullies kids on roblox. (Demonstrably false, I'm afraid! xD)

Thursday has a very low alcohol tolerance. (True!)

Thursday is oblivious to any and all romantic interest someone may show them. (10000000000% true. You have to pretty much straight up TELL HER you like her, otherwise she will not get it.)
