hiii! i was trying to write this but realized that, as a cis woman, i felt as if i was speaking over trans people, talking about experiences and situations that are not meant to be told by me. i think i would not give trans writers enough visibility if i wrote these headcanons

but i will say this,

ushijima would love you. absolutely adore you. if you’re comfortable, he would listen to you talk about it, feeling very proud that he can be a safe space for you. since he already trusts you, he wouldn’t question anything you said, validating your experiences and feelings. he just wants to make sure you feel comfortable around him and that you’re happy. i see him trying to educate people and not tolerate even the slightest disrespect from anyone else. he just wants you to be happy and safe, so after listening to you, he would not ask follow up questions, instead just enjoying his time with you <3

Notes: Itto x Male!Reader, implied backstory/relations with Liyue and the Crux fleet, celebrating your birthday.

“Oh, and before I forget,” Itto gestured to himself with his head raised. “Notice somethin’ different?”

“Do I…?” You played along, holding your chin as you studied his face. The sunlight caught on something, drawing your attention higher until your eyes widened in realisation. “You mean…”

The oni’s smile was contagious as he nodded proudly. “You’ve got it - I polished my horns for you! Not bad, eh? I’ve got to look my best for a special occasion like this.”

Though it seemed that other than cleaning up his usual look, Itto hasn’t changed much (which is just fine with you)! He’s able to go around confidently anywhere, and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

You tried not to give into the urge to smile too wide, lest Itto figure out you’ve been calling him cute in your head. “So where to next?”

“Ah ah, not telling! It’s a surprise.” Itto winked, pulling you closer by the shoulders. You laughed at his excitement, which he took as an encouraging sign as he brightened. “Though I can let you in on a little secret, maybe.”

“Which is..?” You tilted your head as he leaned closer to whisper. He pointed to the top of the stairs you wear on, where you recognised the form of a bow and quiver, propped up next to a boulder.

It’s hard not to get excited when Itto leads you to it, helping you nock an arrow. He guided your aim towards what you realise was a box linked to a firework fuse, near the statue of the Omnipresent God.

“No way,” your voice was laced in vexation. “Itto, we’re going to get arrested.” While you said this, you had to admit that the idea of causing such a scene was kind of exhilarating. A familiar course of energy ran through your veins as you looked forward, hearing the Oni’s laugh rumble from behind you.

“Don’t worry, I’ve got a plan.” You couldn’t see him, but you could imagine he nodded. Taking a deep breath, you lit the tip of the arrow with the power of your vision, aimed, and let it sing through the air.

You later learned that along Itto’s ‘escape route’, you were led to a show put together by the Arataki Gang, singing of your valor and strength (though most of it was exaggerated, as great writers might choose, you could tell that Itto had a hand in the lyrics and narration.) The stage was built overnight to retain a factor of surprise, and it turned out that it was a type of joint-effort from both the gang and Crux to put together an eventful birthday for you.

(…And eventful it was indeed.) Being pulled onto the stage to join them in song was something you doubt you’d forget the feeling of anytime soon, and as you strolled back towards the docks in Ritou, you reflected on the memories of the past day and a half with a smile on your lips.

Night in Inazuma were quite serene, but you don’t think you’ve ever felt lonely on your travels. Especially not when you have companions such as these by your side; encouraging, larger-than-life, and everything else you could ask for.

Things I've thought about (may contain spoilers)

Diluc probably wears gloves to cover his burn scars on his hands. It's not that he thinks it's ugly, it's to keep a professional front. He got those burns from his vision. When he first started using his newfound abilities.

Scaramouche, being a puppet, sometimes malfunctions. He can suddenly freeze and can't move. It doesn't happen often but when it does, he usually comes back after a few minutes. (thanks to @ratboy03 who gave me this hc)

Tartaglia often finds himself in the kitchen when he is stressed. He just finds comfort in cooking up some of his favorite food. Then he'll come find someone to sit down and eat with.

Kaeya has freckles all over his body. It isn't as obvious as it could be but if you look closely, there are little sun spots on him. You can clearly see this on his face. But his back has the most freckles.

you had been talking for a few weeks now and this was the first time you attended one of his volleyball games (without him asking which made him so happy)

he was revelling on the high of winning the match that after celebrating it with his teammates he run to the bleachers and blurted out: “you wanna go out sometime?!”

you said yes <3

he ran back to his team and you couldn’t stop grinning

for the actual date, he took you out on valentine’s day to a coffee shop

you sat together, shoulders brushing each other as you talked about your week, class assignments and more

he was very nervous but he started getting more and more comfortable with you <3

after you finished your coffee you started walking around town, looking at different shops and joking around

you found a band having a small concert at the park and decided to sit down and listen to them

during one of the songs, he took your hand, his own shaking just a lil bit

you squeezed his hand, reassuring him

“thank you for coming to this date,” he says and you smile widely

“wouldn’t have missed it for the world”
