Deirdre is described as a kind and gentle young woman, albeit rather naïve and too trusting of other people. While her gentle nature was endearing and refreshing to some, it was probably looked down upon by others. However, that has never stopped her from reaching out and finding the good in others. Whether it be a person she knows or a stranger, Deirdre will gladly extend a hand of friendship to them.

While Deirdre is known for her kind demeanor, she also has a fiery temper. She will not tolerate anyone looking down on her and will do everything in her power to prove that she isn't as helpless or weak as others make her out to be. Many have taken advantage of her trusting nature, due to how she makes an effort to find the good in people. She also has low self-esteem and confidence because she has been harassed and bullied for most of her life. People often underestimate Deirdre when they first meet her. However, she is more than capable of standing up and defending herself from those who would do her or her loved ones harm.

A hopeless romantic by nature, Deirdre is a firm believer in soulmates and true love. However, she has learned firsthand that love isn't always sunshine and rainbows.
