Despite the fact that I've said that Deci has measuring tape hair like Milli, I've never actually shown her using it...
Though tbh she mostly just uses her infinite hair length to hang off of stuff (not for super long though bc it hurts her neck)

Happy Storyteller Saturday! What was your wip's cast like when they were younger? Are they embarrassed about who they used to be? How have they grown?
Happy storyteller saturday to you as well =)
Okay, so I can’t go into great depth, and some of this may be subject to change as I continue writing out the series.
Raina: I imagine her childhood was very structured, planned out for her. She was likely just as quiet and, shockingly, even less expressive and emotional than she is now. She probably did a lot of studying and apprenticed under the best, but rarely uses any of the skills from back then in her life now. She might have been a bit on the snobby side, but not because she thought she was better than anyone but more because ‘this is how things are.’ Definitely sought out the approval of others, and went to great lengths to prove herself.
I don’t think she’s so much embarrassed as she is angry and disappointed in her younger self, and thus she has dedicated her adult life to undoing as much of her youth as she can. Starting with her skillset and clothing, and then deeper, more important things, like the kind of company she keeps now and the things she now sees as truly important and worth fighting for.
Sparrow: She was probably bubblier when she was a very little kid, likely laughed a lot and liked to play-pretend to be something magical, but when her parent’s marriage started falling to pieces, she started stepping further and further into the background and turned to fantasy worlds such as games, manga, novels, ect. She was teased a lot over her first life’s name, and grew to hate it enough that she started going by the nickname of Cinder instead. She still had friends, though, and spent as much time with them as she could, but even then she knew she was just trying to run from something that couldn’t be outrun.
I don’t know if Sparrow thinks about her own past actions to be embarrassed by them, but she has already a lot grown since her death.
Instead of running from the danger, she’s started standing her ground, and while she still has plenty of moments of insecurity, she usually snaps out of them and keeps pushing forward. She doesn’t give up as easily as she did in her past life, on herself or the people around her. And yeah, she’s realizing that being a hero isn’t as easy as games and movies make it look, but she’s still trying her best to become one, even if this new world will never see her as one.
Hunter: I think the hunter’s childhood is why he is the loner he is these days. Too much angst, too much betrayal, too much darkness to ever be fully confident in the light again. But at the same time, I think it’s what cultivated his loyalties and honed him into the master tracker/hunter that he is when the books begin. Like Raina, he too carries great shame from his past, but unlike her, he is looking to the future. If not for his own, for someone else’s.
Claude: Claude spent a lot of his childhood dealing with the dangers of enchanting magic. Like a lot of kids born with strong magic, it kind of robbed him of a true childhood. Still, he made the best of it, and I think up until the loss of his mentor, he saw great wonder in it. He was a very stubborn child as well as a very curious one. I think he might have even has a mischievous streak in him.
In his young adult life, I think he found the joys of a simple life to be even more magical.
I’m sure he had embarrassing moments, and parts of his life he regrets or wishes he had done something differently, like all people, but I think he wishes he had it all back more than he wishes he had been different. The way he changed was from the lose of those happy things he treasured so much, and it wasn’t a positive change. While he still remained a supportive, responsible person, he became obsessed with enchanting and using it for vengeance, no matter what the cost to himself was.
Jalen: Jalen’s childhood wasn’t very good, to put it mildly. He was probably a very kind, earnest kid who wanted to help everyone, even though he couldn’t even help himself. He probably hated having anything done for him, and felt awful when he couldn’t do something, even when he tried his best. I also imagine he was the kind of kid that would hide his pain behind the biggest, brightest smile to try and keep people from worrying about him.
And I think his greatest embarrassment was he couldn’t do anything about it. Too clumsy to do much of use, too weak to defend himself, even when many children his age were training for war already.
Jalen’s more timid and more guarded than he was as a child, and now that he’s found things he can kind of do, he uses them to try and take care of others to the best of his ability. Also, he no longer gains attachments to places. He can pack everything up and leave at the drop of a hat, if needed.
Hugh: He was probably actually a fairly serious kid, being the eldest and needing to help his single mother and all. Probably annoyed the pudding out of his younger sisters with his pseudo parenting, likely tried learning a bunch of stuff to keep the household running smoothly, and probably immediately taught his sisters anything he figured out so they would have lots of useful skills to make people like them more when they grew up, to various degrees.
And I don’t think he’s embarrassed about any of it. If asked, he’d probably laugh and say something along the lines of ‘yeah, I was a good kid, up until the world ruined me.’
He’s now the troublemaker his sisters were from the start with rebellion about the only constant about him. Probably tossed aside a great number of his morals for the sake of adapting and evolving to the world around him, as there are few places for half-elves in society. Has decided to let his sisters roam and do as they please, though he does still keep an ear out for their exploits to make sure they haven’t died or anything.
And as those are the main cast members I have written, and this has already turned out to be fairly lengthy, I think I’ll leave my answer at that for now =)

Dire Diagnosis
A little something for @cirianne set in her Street Magic universe. A young Lilly Atwood is learning of her magical abilities, and the life of her and her family is about to change forever. This was a lot of fun to write, honestly, I love Gwen and the kids. Enjoy!
POV: Gwen
This hour, this hour right now, is the one chance at peace, quiet and relaxation that I am permitted before everyone returns home and delves the household into chaos.
I’m laid down on the sofa haphazardly, not quite caring about how one of my feet are hanging off the edge of the cushions. I’ve closed my eyes, simply enjoying the silence, not even focussing on a single thing outside of this deep breath I’ve taken after all my work today.
I’ve been for the groceries, I’ve done the laundry, I’ve cleaned the house and I’ve prepared dinner – all I need to do is heat it when Charles returns home later – but I need to pick Max up from kindergarten shortly, so I should enjoy this moment while it lasts. At least the twins can make their own way home alone. Is there anything I’ve forgotten to do so far?
No, Gweneth, absolutely not.
I should not think about this at all, I should be proud that I’ve got a little while to myself for now, I shouldn’t think about this. I need to relax -
Brrrrrrring, brrrrrrring, brrrrrrring!
I should have known it would be too good to last.
I groan in frustration as I make my way to the phone on the edge of the coffee table, briefly looking at the numbers. 12:04, Oakbank High School. I do a double take on the numbers before I accept the call, it’s entirely unusual for them to call home. Not rare – there have been occasions where I have been asked to pick up one of them when they’ve been sent home ill, or Peter has been acting up and needed me to speak with him and his tutors.
Peter, that’s what this is about. What has that boy done now?
Just a few weeks ago he got into a fight with some older students over something trivial, and I had to go speak to him there. He was sporting a split lip and a black eye, and I had to listen drowning in shame to the mother of the older boy insisting that my son apologise to hers. Peter had insisted that it wasn’t his fault. The older boy had been shoving him in the locker room and this time he ended up ripping his schoolbag, so he only did what he thought was a suitable punishment.
Peter’s a good boy, really, but the school could not simply overlook the fact that my son was the one to get violent here. I tried to stick up for him, I did, but the other boy’s mother would never let me get a word in edgeways. She was out for his blood, and I just sat there. I think I let him down that day, we had sat in silence in the car journey home and he simply locked himself away in his room when he got home. He wouldn’t listen to me when I tried to talk to him, and Charles didn’t fare much better when I told him what had happened.
I feel my chest tighten at the possibility of another incident with Peter, this time worse than before. I picked up the phone, slowly and carefully. “Hello, Atwood residence?”
“Good afternoon, I’m calling on behalf of Oakbank High School’s Nurse’s office, am I speaking to Gwen Atwood?”
The nurse. One of them is simply ill. I release the breath I had been holding in and continue to talk to them.
“Yes, can I help you?”
“I’m afraid we need you to come in, urgently, and collect Lilly. It’s serious, and we need you here as soon as possible.”
The fear that had been expunged from me came back to my lungs with a vengeance. I felt the blood drain from my face, and I was barely coherent. Something’s happened, something serious, Lilly has been hurt or injured or worse -
“What? Has something happened? Is she okay?”
“I’m afraid I cannot discuss it over the phone, how soon can you be here?”
I arrived at the school in record time, and was instantly led to the nurse’s office. There were three people inside, aside from my daughter, sat with her knees together and her hands clutching at the hem of her skirt, just above the knee. The moment I entered the room, she looked up at me – her face was pale, her green eyes wide with terror and tears streaming down her face.
The other three adults looked like the nurse, the Principal, and some other well-dressed person of importance, but I don’t know who he is.
She shot to her feet and wrapped her arms around my waist within seconds. “Mom,” her voice was raspy and weak, but she looked physically okay. I had expected her to be covered in cuts or bruises or blood or a sick combination of all three, but the only thing wrong with her here that I can see is how upset she is.
“What’s happened? Are you alright, Lilly?”
“I’m afraid, Mrs Atwood, that your daughter will not be attending our school anymore.” The Principal stated matter-of-factly. “Effective immediately.”
All of the air was sucked out of my lungs the moment he said that. Lilly, being expelled? No, absolutely not. I can’t believe this. She’s never even so much as had detention before. She’s a straight-A student, she works hard and tries hard and has good relations with her teachers, just what is going on here?
“What do you mean? Please tell me, what’s happened?”
The nurse was the next one to speak up, her normally gentle voice and calm demeanour suddenly filled with seriousness and… somehow, a little cold.
“You’re aware that the Council requires all students to undergo mandatory regular blood tests four times a year?” I nodded slowly in response. “Ma’am, your daughter is affiliated with magic. It’s not showing yet, but she will do in the next few months, and I’m afraid that the school policy on the matter is removal from public school.”
I look down at my daughter, who is trembling like a leaf and clutching at my coat, not looking at me directly, before I finally found my voice.
“Lilly? No, no that’s not right. How, why, why would it just be Lilly? She has a twin brother, surely he’d be…”
“A lot of progress has been made on the discovery of magic in young people, Mrs Atwood, but I’m afraid that the fact remains that we don’t know everything. Your son simply doesn’t show any signs of magic, we’ve even tested him twice with another sample to be safe. Your son shows no signs of magic at all.”
The person beside the Principal, the well-dressed one, spoke this time. “The decision stands, Mrs Atwood. I’m here to explain what happens now, because she cannot continue her education here, for her safety and the safety of others.”
Lilly. A mage, I can’t believe this, I honestly wish I was dealing with Peter’s disciplinary issues right now. I wish he had been in another fight. I would rather face that than face this.
Mages are dangerous, they’re nobodies, they’re evil things who only seek to cause harm, that’s why it’s so important to educate them.
But not Lilly, Lilly is and always has been a good girl, she doesn’t deserve this!
“You can’t, please, she’s just a young girl –“
“They all are, ma’am, but you have to understand that we need to ensure she doesn’t harm herself or others,” they reached into their suit pocket and handed me a card, “as you can see, I am a liaison for the Council in the Discovery of Mages. I’m here to make sure her transition is as smooth as possible for the both of you.”
“How… it can’t be true…”
“I’m sorry, ma’am. I’ve had this same conversation with hundreds of mothers like yourself, and as rare as magic is, it’s real and it has awakened in your daughter. You understand that we cannot simply ignore this, it has to be reported.”
---
“Are you mad at me?”
Lilly broke the silence first, looking at me with her wide emerald eyes. Her voice had wavered, she sounded like she was going to cry, I caught that tremble as she ended her question.
“Of course not,” I didn’t look at her, mainly because I was still driving. I couldn’t take my eyes off the road for too long, “why would you think that?”
“Because it’s all my fault.”
“No, sweetie, of course it’s not your fault –“
“It is, Mom! I’m, I’m just like those monsters that keep making trouble. I’m just like them!”
“Lilly –“
“Dad always said he hated what mages are, they’re troublemakers and they need controlling and punishing for their crimes. Dad’s gonna kill me!”
I couldn’t take this anymore. Her sobs were breaking my heart. I punched on the hazard lights and pulled into the side of the road, slowing to a halt and turning to my daughter, leaning over the gearbox and handbrake to pull her close to me.
She’s crying into my shirt so heavily, she sounds so utterly terrified that I can feel her shaking as she sobs into me – I feel like I’m a truly terrible mother. There’s nothing I can do to stop what will happen to her soon – she’ll be taken away to one of the academies for her education, and the thought of her leaving home like this is truly awful to think about. I
“Listen to me, Lilly, I love you so much, and none of this is your fault. Do you understand?” I asked through my own tears, wiping them away quickly with my fingers. “Your father loves you, and you know he does. He is not going to kill you for this, because he knows you’re not like the others.”
“I’ve, I – I’ve heard th-things, M-Mom…” she mumbled, “ab-out the acad-demies…”
“They’re just rumours, Lilly,” I tried to sound reassuring, but I knew that the weakness in my voice did nothing to establish confidence in my daughter, “you’ll see Uncle Jason when you’re there though, you know it’s his job to look after the students.”
“But what if, if they’re not rumours, Mom? What if they’re real?”
I didn’t have an answer to that, and I couldn’t even do anything more to reassure her. We just sat there in the car for a while, and I wanted to keep her there forever, to not make her go through such an ordeal.
But I must.

Hi!! I'd like to know how ikon members would behave if they were on the return of superman ( when they're older and have a family ofc) thanks xx love your blog
I haven’t gotten to this request and I wanted to do it but my fatigue has gotten to me ; - ; BUT! iKon with children is my weakness because they all would be so soft for their kids – I even made it to which superman dad they would be because why not :3 And as always, I hope you enjoy! - Fay
Jinhwan:
In Gyojin; aka Haeun’s dad
Has a daughter who he loves so dearly
A very cheerful baby actually
Is the happiest dad, imo
Jinhwan is weak for his daughter. He loves her to death and would give all his love and dedication to her. I imagine that he’d be similar to Gyojin while taking care of her and doing what is needed around the house. Of course not without giving his daughter all the love in the world. His daughter is a little baby who is just absolutely gorgeous and is never one to cry. She’s happy all the time and full of smiles and laughter. Jinhwan saw his daughter as a bundle of joy that he and his wife were so lucky to have. It’s rare that she cries because her dad is constantly smiling and playing around with her as he does the chores around the house. He never forgets what his wife told him to do before she comes home, and he does it absolutely flawlessly. Only a few slip-ups here and there, but overall an amazing dad.
Yunhyeong:
Ko Jiyong; aka Seungjae’s dad
His son is smart af
A little troublemaker, but he can’t be mad at his son too long
Is an extremely stressed dad, but he loves it
Yunhyeong’s parenting ways similar to Jiyong’s (i.e the chocolate patience thing and whatnot). But honestly, his son is very smart much to his dismay and can speak very well for his age. Yunhyeong gets pretty stressed trying to catch up to his son’s energetic level since his son is three years old. When getting things done around the household, he might have difficulty because there is his child running around the house. Sometimes, he can make mess and so the chore must be done all over again. His son can get into trouble at times, like running from home to buy snacks with fake money or throwing tantrums if he’s moody, but Yunhyeong is always prepared for those moments to give him a talking to or a punishment. Regardless, at the end of the day, he still loves his son so much. This was the gift of life, and he’s so lucky to have it. And even if he’s tired and stressed, he couldn’t ask for it any other way.
Bobby:
Outsider; aka Rowoon’s dad
Weak af for his daughter
Such a sweet little toddler and so well behaved liKE hOw
Is an over-prepared dad that is ready for anything
Jiwon’s daughter is a cheerful, sweet, and quiet little girl. She’s pretty easy to handle despite being over a year old. He’ll rarely get mad at his daughter because she’s really well behaved and she listens to her parents pretty well he’s also weak for his daughter because his little princess is his pride and joy how dare he get mad at her. His parenting ways of spoiling her may not be a good idea to most parents, but he’s a pretty good dad. He’s cheerful around her, constantly dancing around the house as he gets chores done while trying to feed his child homemade meals. He loves his daughter dearly and wants the absolute best for her. And what kind of dad doesn’t want that? His ultimate wish is for her life to be full of love and happiness. If his daughter is smiling widely and is happy around who she loves, then he can get through the day.
Hanbin:
Ki Taeyoung; aka Rohui’s dad
Sassy and chic daughter who loves her dad
Parenting methods are 11/10
Probably the best dad out of them tbh
We can all thank Hanbyul for this one because Hanbin’s got some babysitting/dad skills. His daughter is a chic toddler who has her own style and, even if she’s not easy to please, she really can’t be without her dad’s love and affection. Hanbin’s parenting skills are off the top, if I’m honest. He knows how to calm her down, feed/burp her, how she likes to play, and knows safety procedures for babies. He’s pretty perfect husband material as well because he does chores almost better than his wife. I say almost because he’s still a fool. But throughout all of that, he’s still a dad who loves his daughter dearly. She is his precious babygirl, much like how Hanbin was when Hanbyul was very little. He worries about her future and how she is now and if he’s even doing a good job for her. But as long as his daughter sleeps knowing she’s loved, he knows he’s done more than enough and will continue to go above and beyond for her.
Donghyuk:
Lee Hwijae, aka Seoeon and Seojun’s dad
His boys are extremely independent and pretty dang smart
They can get into trouble more times than he can count
Is the “old-school” kinda dad
Donghyuk is the member I believe will end up with twins or triplets when his wife gets pregnant. He knows how to take care of his kids (and the household) from day one to now, and continues to do an amazing job. His twin boys are extremely… well, boyish. They play in the dirt, love monster trucks, and play hide and seek until dinner was ready. And the most important things Donghyuk has taught his twins are to be street smart, to have manners, and be polite despite their boyish attitudes. His twins know how to look both ways before crossing the street, not to answer the door to strangers, how to call 911, say please and thank you, ect. They’re also very independent for their age. They can go out to the store and buy snacks or play at the park before they need to come home at the time their dad says (and not a minute later). He disciplines them very well if they didn’t do what they’re supposed to do, and vice versa, or if they misbehave. His parenting ways are old school, but they work very well especially if he has to raise two rowdy boys. But even is they act up, he loves his kids so much. He wants to have them at their best and to be loved so dearly even if they get rough. He gets tired easily because they’re so energetic, but they keep him so happy and he couldn’t ask for a better life.
Junhoe:
Park Gunhyung; aka Yijun’s dad
His son is the cutest damn thing in the world
Disciplines his son very well which is a little shocking
Is a pretty immature but caring dad
Junhoe is, like I said, an immature dad. He can get down to his son’s thinking level and be able to communicate with him easily. Like he does with his members, he likes to tease his son a little because it warms his heart just to see his son giggle from his childish antics. His son is the most adorable child you could’ve seen in your life. Not only is he cute, but he is full of laughter and happiness wrapped up in sunshine. Yeah, a pure bundle of delight. You can tell that he was raised in a happy home that was full of so much love. And much to everyone’s surprise, Junhoe’s son has a ton of discipline. He takes direction and listens to his mom and dad extremely well, despite being two years old. He can stop his son from crying or whining just by telling him not to. Everyone wonders what kind of spell did they put on him because wow he’s such a good kid wtf. But, even though Junhoe’s able to discipline him very well, he is able to take care of the house and his child in the best way possible. It breaks his heart a little to see his son cry because he doesn’t want to detach himself from his arms. Junhoe isn’t really the one to worry about the future too much, but he’s prepared for whatever is coming next. When he sees his son asleep in his arms or running happily around the living room, he realizes that this is what he needed in his life.
Chanwoo:
Lee Beomsoo; aka Soeul and Daeul’s dad
His kids take care of each other so well
Sort of awkward with his kids, but he takes such good care of them
Is an awkward but loving dad
Chanwoo as he gets older might need a little help when he starts raising his kids by himself. He doesn’t spend a whole lot of time with his family (i.e coming home late from work), which is why he decided to join the show so he could get closer to his daughter and his son. His two kids are extremely sweet and they have big hearts. But with his eldest child, it might be a little harder for her to adjust to the change of having her dad around the house more than her mom. Through it all, she actually likes having him around and she helps her dad around the household by doing chores with him and helping him communicate with his stubborn son. His son looks up to his dad, seeing him as the older male figure in his life. He actually likes to show off to Chanwoo that he’s a tough, big boy even though he secretly loves being spoiled and babied by his dad and his noona. And despite being awkward with his kids, he actually takes well care of them. He does a wonderful job in being able to play with them at home, at the park, and/or even at the studio. When it came to times of punishing or disciplining his kids, he would be a little unprepared for this moment. However, his consequences are a little easier on them and would make them reflect on their actions. He treasures his kids, and he would hate and blame himself if anything horrible happened to them. Chanwoo gets nervous about parenting, especially because he’s the youngest of his group. However, he can be an amazing dad if he was given that little push and a hand to hold.

— Rejoice, little lambs! We have recovered our own Lee Hanbyeol, spotted prancing about in the Southwest Side. I remember seeing him with The Marauders back in high school, but I’m not here to spill yesterday’s tea. So straight to the rundown: can you say secretive and creative? Apparently now he spends time as an editorial model and a barista at Hello Stranger, and keeps skeletons buried at Geumsang Apartment Complex; A103. But those won’t stay hidden for long, if you and I have any say on it. Welcome back, Mr. President; we missed you so.
In case you don’t remember the devil’s name, here’s to refresh your memory:
the quiet life was never meant for lee hanbyeol, whose family often chased the spotlight. growing up in wealth and recognition, hanbyeol was used to being the centre of attention - whether he preferred it or not. going to school at cheongnam high was merely the next step in his parents’ plans towards a bright future for their child, though hanbyeol had hoped to gain some independence in deciding in which circles he’d like to mingle. unfortunately decisions were out of his hand, and he found himself dragged into a little clique of misfits and little demons. his association with kim jongin brought him in acquaintance with a boy he loathed ( oh sehun ) and a studious girl ( song yoori ) who happened to be the only one he was fully comfortable with in their little group. of course his father was ecstatic to hear his son was doing well by the family’s reputation. within the school, hanbyeol was seen as the stoic member of the marauders. not cold per se, but a boy of quiet reserve. difficult to read. hanbyeol was known for getting good grades without too much effort, and a perfect track record of attendance. however, lee hanbyeol was not all that interested in academics. to the marauders, hanbyeol was a goody two-shoes to a certain degree, always the one to keep them troublemakers out of trouble, or saving their asses from detention or expulsion. the class president would not complain, safe for those rare moments yoori managed to catch him struggling with his emotions. to friends, hanbyeol was confident boy who liked to tease those he was comfortable with. a winsome guy with stars in his eyes and high expectations for his future. to everyone else, lee hanbyeol was an unapproachable entity. the class president with the piercing stare, who happened to doodle in notebooks and make a sharp remark every now and then.
Nevermind the memory lane though, the present is always the ripest fruit:
during his years at cheongnam high, lee hanbyeol was offered a modelling contract. at age seventeen, hanbyeol first featured as a model for jeans company jambangee, a brand for which hanbyeol still models. after graduation, hanbyeol worked full time as a model to kick start his career while still living at his parents’ place. when he realised he wasn’t making the money he expected ( and was pressured by his father to join his company ), hanbyeol moved out and took up a part- time job as a barista. he currently lives on his own with his cat. lee hanbyeol has not changed much from when he was a teenager. he remains stoic, though has learnt to school his features in a more approachable expression in social situations. the man is secretive, and appears to enjoy alone time above moving in socialite circles. however, hanbyeol can appreciate a party, though has to be coerced into going to one. not much is known about lee hanbyeol’s relationships, though he is rumored to date an actress or singer every other week. currently, he is a model most favoured by photographers but still working towards gaining the affections of the general public.
But we are nothing if not open books – my job is to ensure you get to the best pages:
“dream the impossible dream, fight the unbeatable foe, strive with your last ounce of courage, to reach the unreachable star”
O1. he was born a girl with constellations on her face and a bright future prophesised. the sixth daughter in line, lee eunbyeol, was both a gift and a curse. his birth left a father disappointed, unable to swallow the bitter realisation that he had once again failed to produce a male heir, while the girl’s mother whispered her happiness into infant ears, promising a world of riches and admiration. to the family, eunbyeol was a girl both loved and ignored. her name held dreams while her purpose was to obey. she was a mere number in a seemingly endless line of other daughters who were unfit to lead - or so the family patriarch believed. their big family was conservative; the household ruled with an iron fist from a militant man who asserted absolute authority in both professional as personal lives. the coming of another daughter did not change the manner in which a father ruled and asserted his beliefs on the gullible women in his world. and while a mother beamed and a father smiled wryly at a wailing infant, the two parents remained oblivious to the shift (and rift) the birth of their last child would bestow upon their expanding family.
O2. the first few years were peaceful. not even the sporadic tantrums of a crying three-year-old, pulling her sisters’ hair, could break the family’s harmony. a five-year-old eunbyeol who refused to sleep in her flower-patterned bed was easily soothed. a loud-mouthed six-year-old had the pillars upon which their perfect little family lived tremble when she refused to be called a girl, started roughhousing with the boys in a nearby park (returning home with dirt in her long raven locks and worn shoes) and refused to wear her school uniform. those pillars started cracking when a girl nine years of age thought it smart to bring a pair of scissors to her beautiful hair, injuring her scalp. at the doctor’s office, the child was referred to a therapist. oppositional defiant disorder, whispered the doctor; gender dysphoria concluded the therapist.
O3. eunbyeol had always been a talented child. as if her name had carved her future in the stars, her mother believed her child to grow up to be successful in life. eunbyeol was artistic, albeit a bit clumsy with wobbly legs that were oddly endearing. one of the few items the child had been given to play with which eunbyeol had accepted were crayons and colouring paper. throughout her childhood, eunbyeol doodled. she drew animals, coloured scenery and sketched doraemon figures on any piece of paper she could get her hands on. we have a little artist in the family, her mother squealed giddily during one of the many family dinners and formal events where boasting achievements and spending one’s money recklessly were considered appropriate. always remember to reach for the stars, eunbyeoli, the woman whispered as she pecked her child goodnight that same evening. the next day, the therapist called. eunbyeol was to never go to those sessions again.
O4. the pillars of their perfect little family came crumbling down when eunbyeol stopped speaking. one fateful morning had eunbyeol’s father find his daughter curled up in the bathroom after a shower, confronted with his child’s confusion over the family’s insistence to treat him like a girl when he was not. a father’s greed for a male heir overrode his conservative principles and beliefs. he allowed his daughter to transition, against the desperate pleas of a mother. hanbyeol, his father told him sternly, make your father proud, son. with teary eyes, his mother regarded him as she cupped his cheeks and begged him to stop doing her wrong. but hanbyeol had already promised - he would reach for the stars, and this time he would shape his own future.
O5. idols were glamorous, even hanbyeol could see that. having grown up with a silver spoon in his mouth, he wasn’t left desiring much. hanbyeol was content with most of his life, and didn’t ask for much. there wasn’t really anything left to ask, or so the boy thought. the entertainment industry called to him like a bee on honey. although his voice was gentle - the tone a gentle timbre - he wasn’t blessed with singing talent. it was then that hanbyeol happened upon one of his sisters’ fashion magazines. mesmerized by the pictorials, lee hanbyeol spent hours upon hours observing the photos with the models in expressive poses, oozing a confidence that had a flush rise to the boy’s face. a newfound desire bubbling in hanbyeol’s chest because he wanted to be just like them. hanbyeol realised that he wished to covet a model’s glamour and elegance, to grow to be the subject of admiration; of reverence. lee hanbyeol had always been pretty and now he was a handsome male, with favourable proportions. a mere month after hanbyeol decided his future, bermuda entertainment offered him a seven-year contract, as a model.
O6. of course hanbyeol could never give up on his art. the path to fame was long and tedious and after graduation, the young man was forced to take up a job as a barista, his love for coffee supporting the decision. soon, hanbyeol realised he could create a different kind of art. four years down the line, and lee hanbyeol settled into a comfortable life style between photo shoots, runway gigs and preparing vanilla lattes for appreciative customers. secretly, hanbyeol enjoyed his work as a barista more than getting his face caked in make-up and walking unnaturally on a catwalk while being scrutinised by industry officials. his art steadily improved and now hanbyeol’s wishes have changed from stardom of immeasurable magnitude to becoming a humble latte artist, recognised for talent rather than looks.

24. Children – future
Ok, this is great, I love babbling about my babies. Therefore, you may already have met them from my 7KPP week day 7 entry, but hell, I’m gonna spill so much information alright. Have a cut
Clara always wanted a big family, since she didn’t exactly have one, but at the same time she has always been afraid of becoming much like her mother and treating her children wrongly, so she’s been on the fence about whether to have children or not. However, now she has Jasper and she loves him very much and wishes to make a family with him.
Hamilton, their first child was born in the year of Clara’s first Summit in the Vail Isle(not as a delegate, more fulfilling Katyia’s shoes), she was two/three months pregnant with him and didn’t know, dismissing the morning sickness for just that. It was only when the Matchmaker commented on her growing belly that Clara actually realized what was going on. She knew that the wise thing to do was to tell Jasper, but knowing him it would only lead to the butler worrying way longer about her than his delegate that Summit. So she waited until the last day of the Summit(already showing a bit) to tell him. Jasper was numb for a long time, he couldn’t exactly see himself as a father, the possibility had never crossed his mind. It took him a whole week to finally realize it was happening and Clara needed all the support she could get on top of a stressful situation such as the Summit. They go through it(even all the mood swings and crazy cravings) and by the end of that year they had a boy who they named Hamilton.
Ham, as his mother calls him, has his mother’s brown hair and green eyes, but his father’s pale skin(which blushes so easily). As a child, Hamilton was always quiet, serious and diligent. Jasper mostly made it his mission to tutor his kid(his kid!) and Clara loved him with every fiber of her being, helping him when he had a hard time with other children, who’d mock him or when Jasper wasn’t around he always went to her with questions.
Percival, their second child, was born one year later. He was an energetic child, but still very polite and never a troublemaker. Percy was never one for the events of History, but rather for living in the moment. He’s always been very talkative and therefore friends with almost everybody(even managing to melt the Matchmaker’s stone heart) and even though he’s very social, Percival has always been a good listener and is proud of it.
He inherited his father’s white hair, but his mother’s brown skin and green eyes.
Adelaide’s pregnancy was a bit bumpy. With Clara’s second Summit in the Vail Isle coming closer(Addie being two years younger than Percy), a lot of stress was involved and she started having a few issues with the pregnancy to the point she thought her baby would die. Giving birth to Adelaide was no easy task either, with Clara almost dying because of it(cue to worrywart Jasper). She got better and had her first daughter and last child.
Adelaide since very young has always been very adventurous, daring and a free spirit. Constantly worrying her father, constantly getting in trouble around the Isle. She was their first child to be born with Jasper’s violet eyes, but resembling Clara a lot. Because she is the third daughter, Addie just generally feels like she doesn’t belong to her family, as Percy is following in his mother’s footsteps and Hamilton’s following in on his father’s, there is just nothing left for her to do, right?
Fun facts about this family:
- Addie is the best fighter of the family, after Jasper, of course;
- Clara is the shortest person in the family being 5’2” and Addie, the second shortest, being 5”6;
- Hamilton is a huge nerd;
- He is very passionate about History
- But he also likes the Natural Sciences, but that ends up being a passion he doesn’t pursue because of his desire to follow in his father’s footsteps;
- Percival cannot stand still for the life of him, because of this he is rarely interested in books;
- Jasper tutors all of his kids, without exception and he is quite strict;
- Percival doodles a lot during his studies;
- Addie barely pays attention but somehow seems to absorb some things;
- Hamilton pays the utmost attention, takes notes, reviews them after(love him);
- Hamilton is the most organized out of all of the three siblings;
- Addie is a human disaster;
- Percival is somewhere in between those two;
- Clara manages her household like she manages her delegates;
- She is the problem solver;
- Also everyone loves her so much;
- Jasper loves his wife and would do anything for her really(within sense of course);
- Hamilton has a very strong emotional bond with his mother;
- Whenever he had a nightmare when little, they would sneak out and stargaze;
- She would sing to him until he fell asleep, then she would take him back to the house;
- When he got older, Hamilton realized how much pressure was put on both of his parents, so he stopped telling them about when he had issues with anything(such as nightmares) as not to worry them;
- Percival loves his mother;
- He looks up to his mother so much;
- She is his hero because she’s just like Katyia and he just loves that so much;
- I mean, his mother practically runs the Summit;
- When he is old enough, Percy becomes Clara’s unofficial assistant;
- Later she maker him her official apprentice;
- Addie’s relationship with her mother is a bit complicated;
- She can’t understand how her mother is so patient and sometimes that makes her mad for no reason;
- Her mother is constantly handling people who don’t recognize her true value;
- How is she not angry about that?
- Addie has a strong connection with her mother though;
- Loves her hugs;
- Family dinners are the best.
- Adelaide’s free spirited nature and Hamilton’s more serious one often clash;
- When I say often I mean always;
- They fight over everything and anything;
- Much more when they are older;
- Particularly when Addie becomes a butler like Hamilton;
- Then everything is a competition;
- For Addie, Hamilton just wants to be perfect;
- For Hamilton, Addie just wants to take away their father’s love from him;
- Percival is just so done;
- He tries to get his siblings to agree with each other;
- It’s the hardest thing ever;
- He manages sometimes;
In the end these five are a very tight and supportive family, even if some of them argue sometimes(cof cof Addie and Ham cof cof), even then, whenever someone has a problem.
I love them so much <3
