So I know I'm super late in joining this fandom but I just finished Tangled Adventure only to discover the ship name for Cassandra and Rapunzel is Casspunzel?? Or Cassunzel, or Rapsandra and, I gotta say... I'm not vibing with them

So instead I would like to propose either SunStone MoonDrop because moonstone/sundrop and their actual names just don't work well together okay

Anyone second this motion?

It was a bright, sunny morning in Corona, as per usual. Rapunzel opened her eyes blearily and yawned, stretching her arms toward the ceiling. She could feel someone snoozing gently against her.

Cassandra had agreed to stay the night after a fun evening of games and girl talk. Rapunzel smiled softly at the sensation of having her best friend sharing her bed and looked down.

Something was off.

She blinked once, then twice. And realized to her horror that the person still asleep was...herself. Golden hair and everything.

Rapunzel screamed and flew off the bed, taking half the covers with her. Cassandra’s eyes shot open and she sat bolt upright, reaching for her dagger that suddenly wasn’t on her person. She frantically searched for where it had gone, flipped the pillows over and ran her hands over her...nightgown? But she never wore such things. Then she registered how heavy her head felt. As if something big was attached to it...

Cassandra glanced up and, eyes growing wide, found herself staring into her own face just to the side of the bed. She yelled and scrambled away on the bed.

“What the heck?!”

“What is going on?!”

“...Raps?”

“...Cass?”

The person who looked like Cassandra slowly climbed back onto the bed, approaching the Rapunzel lookalike whose insanely long hair was now all over the place.

“What the...Rapunzel?” said a voice that sounded exactly like Cassandra, except it came from Rapunzel’s body.

“Wait...how are...you can...what?” Rapunzel was at a loss for words. Unable to think of something to say, she looked down at her form and registered the tunic and shorts her friend normally wore. She quickly ran her hands through short black hair, muttering about how this was possible. But her tone changed when her hands found their way down to her midriff and...

“Whoa. You really do have abs...”

“Rapunzel!”

It was very unnerving for Cassandra to watch someone occupying her body feeling itself this way. Not that it was lewd, but still. Full-blown wacko.

In turn, she noticed the seventy feet of golden hair spread all over the bed and began running her fingers through her scalp.

“Oh, no no no no no no no no...” Cassandra muttered as the panic started building. “This is very bad, oh god...”

“Hey, Cass, calm down,” Rapunzel said in her best attempt to be reassuring.

“Calm down?!” Cassandra blurted out, which looked a little funny on Rapunzel’s face. “How can I be calm when we’ve switched bodies? And we don’t even know how it happened!”

“I know! I’m just saying there’s no point in getting worked up when we don’t have answers!” Rapunzel shot back, somehow feeling like such a tone worked so well in her current Cassandra form.

An uncomfortable minute passed in silence as both girls sat on the bed, not knowing what to say or do next.

“So...” Cassandra said slowly, “any ideas?”

“Um...” Rapunzel mused. “Well...it won’t really help with this...body swap thing, but this could be kinda fun!”

Cassandra raised a skeptical eyebrow at the unnaturally cheery look on Rapunzel’s not-Rapunzel-like face. “I’m sorry, what?”

“I mean, we could make some cool names for ourselves in the meantime. Like...” Rapunzel screwed her face up in concentration, which Cassandra had to admit looked adorable even if it was her own face.

“Oh! How about this: I can be Rapsandra and you can be Cassunzel! Ha, get it?”

The award winning smile on ‘Cassandra’s’ face was met with a deadpan stare from ‘Rapunzel’, followed by: “That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard.”

I'm confused, who's Cassandra? And what's going on with the Rapunzel fandom?

Cassandra is Rapunzels best friend/lady-in-waiting and daughter of the Head of the a Royal Guard; some people did not appreciate the way she acted with Eugene and constantly interrupted their personal moments; she was willing to sacrifice his relationship with Rapunzel for herself to cover her back. Its easy to see the distaste for her, but personally, it was just the intro and I expect either Eugene is just as bad or she gets some development with him. Or both. I still totally love her though. I'm excited for her.Some people have began shipping her with Rapunzel, however, despite Rapunzel constantly stating she loves Eugene and wants to marry him and we all know they do get married. So it's mainly over shipping and differing views on Cassandra's treatment of Eugene as far as I know. We all know how much Eugene and Rap love each other, and their relationship is a supportive, healthy, and positive one. We know how that ends, but ya know tumblr. Some people are grasping at any rep they can find and some ppl don't think Rapsandra (idk what it's called) is starting out on a good note(esp. after what Eugene tells Rap immediately after). I personally don't understand why Eugene got picked on for being selfish when Cassandra proved she was petty and could have selfish moments. But like I said, that's what the main problem of the show as a whole is. Lies, control, sneaking around. Every time Rapunzel tries to hide, or is convinced to lie or asks someone to do it for her, it bites her in the ass and she ends up feeling trapped. Its coming off as a theme or lesson of the season to me. Rapunzel wants freedom, the king wants his daughter safe, Eugene wants the life he never had with a family, and Cassandra wants to...well I'm not rly sure. I think Cassandra has lived a pretty sheltered life and she's constantly sneaking around and rebeling. She probably had a very lonely childhood like Rap and Eugene so that may be their link. Idk. I'm just getting those vibes. We'll see.All in all, I think the fandom will chill out eventually. We barely know Cassandra yet. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt. I love petty characters anyways. They all make a great team and I actually prefer Eugene and Cassandra's dynamic over Rapunzel and Cassandra's so far. Give it time. Everyone cool your heads and let's see how it goes.
