hopefully this is the last time i’ll have to beg for help

hey so i just got a job! it will take about 3 weeks before my first paycheck comes in, though, and we just found out it’ll be about 2 weeks before my girlfriend can go back to her job. in the meantime, my girlfriend and i have ZERO money for food, gas to even get to & from work, medications, or car insurance (which i need for this new job!).

i literally just spent our last 4 dollars on gas to just be able to drive home from orientation. again, we have NO MONEY coming for AT LEAST TWO WEEKS.

unless we can get some serious help... we are completely fucked, i will lose this job, and will probably have to move in with either a virulent transphobe or one of our rapists.

so, hopefully this is the last time i have to ask this of y’all, but i am on my hands and knees BEGGING for help. i really, really want us to finally be okay. it’s SO hard for me to find places willing to hire me since we’re in the rural south, i have no real experience, and i’m visibly trans & disabled, so i truly might not find a chance like this again.

Let me be perfectly clear:

Whether someone's DID/OSDD is legitimate is between 1) them, 2) their therapist who is approaching them in good faith and has worked with them long enough to know them intimately as a person, and 3) their very trusted and educated loved ones.

If you are a stranger on the internet, the ONLY time you have a say as to whether someone is faking is when you have literally heard them say that they are faking.

These are the ONLY circumstances in which it is SOMETIMES appropriate to accuse someone of faking.

Even then, it is NEVER appropriate to do so in public spaces unless they have explicitly admitted to faking. In this case, you have the right to alert other DID/OSDD community members for the benefit of their own boundaries and safety.

If you still think that fake-claiming strangers on the internet with no proof is appropriate behavior, I strongly encourage you to take a long, hard look at yourself, the level of authority you feel you have in a stranger's life, whether you really believe you know all there is to know about DID/OSDD, whether the Western psychiatric episteme itself is truly all-encompassing of reality, and your understanding of parasocial relationships.

Yeah like Cas’ problem is 1) he doesn’t want the power and responsibility that comes with ruling Heaven because he has no faith in it as an institution and doesn’t think he’s capable of doing the job anyway, 2) in order to take over Heaven he needs to wield a significant amount of power, and 3) his vision of this idyllic sort of anarcho-Heaven has to be maintained with some kind of enforcement mechanism to prevent it from being taken over again and ruled, which REQUIRES an articulation of political power. And he knows that Heaven needs to be maintained so that angels can continue to exist and the natural cycle of birth and death and afterlife remains durable, but like. The problem is that Heaven was specifically set up to maintain power. Purgatory has no ruler and Hell had been ruled from afar by Lucifer historically, because the only authority who mattered WAS Heaven. It presided over those domains, they aren’t separate “kingdoms” or anything.

Because also like Raphael is right. I can’t remember if Raphael even believes god is still worth finding or not by s6, although regardless of his personal feelings, his position is that it doesn’t matter whether or not God is around, because he’s not required for the continued maintenance Heaven, the institution itself just needs to remain. But Cas’ rebellion was fundamentally tied to losing his faith in god (+ Heaven-as-an-institution), so his politics are founded on the idea that it is his moral duty to reveal the nature of free will to all angels in order to prevent any further atrocities/violence in the name of Heaven. Like, he counts the apocalypse as a deeply horrific moral failing on the part of Heaven, and has probably re-contextualised a lot of his past orders/actions in light of this realisation, and so the only thing for him to do now is to stop as many angels as possible from carrying out Heaven’s orders.

idk if they touch on this during the apocalypse arc in s4/5 but a lot of angels died in order to usher in the apocalypse, and it STILL failed, and so I think Raphael has (again, correctly) identified that in order to limit further angel deaths (which we learn later weakens the structure and power of Heaven itself), angels can’t know about free will. It’s just that this is morally untenable for Cas (and the others he persuaded), and Cas is ALSO right in the sense that like, Heaven is a fucking punitive nightmare, but he doesn’t have any idea what an alternative end state for Heaven would look like. Like ironically his position is “put faith in me and my plan” when his entire deal is that he’s lost faith in Heaven and is skeptical of faith-based claims as a consequence.

also the other day saw someone, i forget who or i would go find the post bc it WAS a good post (edit: found), describe godstiel arc as totally failing to be political because it's a contest between two sides, both of whom just want power. and like godstiel arc does fail to be political like so true bestie but that's literally not the way. cas never wanted power. you'll notice that he constantly eschews it and it's pressed on him and he finally accepts it over the course of the man who would be king. people ACCUSE him of wanting it. but he doesn't, really. he just wants angels to be allowed to do whatever, and not start an apocalypse. like, yes, he's doing it in a weirdly in-system way (his plan is to become god and then just be like. do what you want <3. i guess?) but he does have a major philosophical difference from raphael. he's trying to acquire power with the intent not to use it.

of course, the problem is that even if you intend not to use power, all you need is one bad day. like, when he acquired the power in question, he was having a fullscale mental breakdown spurred on by being spectacularly betrayed by one of his closest friends. combine this with the fact that the power in question warped his judgement horribly as well as like. seemingly actively giving him an urge to violence from the leviathans. so it seems pretty clear to me that like. godstiel was a case of plans falling through due to unforeseen pressures. cas would never have killed all those angels, or demanded love, or decided to take a "firm hand," or any of that, if not for these circumstances.

HELP A DISABLED TRANS COUPLE STAY HOUSED!!!! THIS IS AN EMERGENCY

I am so fucking sorry to do this but a bunch of awful shit has gone down at the last minute and basically, this is now our situation: our rent is due on the 1st (6/1/22), we are both unemployed as of this week, we won’t be getting ANY money at this point, and we have until the 10th (6/10/22) to get the rent together before our landlords evict us and we will become homeless again.

Even though we plan to reach out to our (horrendously fucking abusive) families for money, even if we CAN convince them to help, they aren’t in good financial situations either and I do not know how much help they can be.

We are respectively an immunocompromised white trans person and a Black nonbinary woman. We are both autistic, disabled, and mentally ill. We live in an extremely conservative military town in the Southern US, we have no support system, and to say it would be unsafe for us to be on the streets is a MASSIVE understatement. There are also NO shelters where we live that would accept ANY queer individual let alone a queer couple.

So if we cannot make rent, what that will look like is us 1) staying with a homophobe/transphobe, 2) staying with my gf’s rapist, 3) staying with my rapists/sex traffickers, or 4) risking it on the literal streets. That’s our options, in order.

The amount we need is 1,070$ as the bare minimum to not be put out on the street, but with utilities and late fees, it’ll come out to 1,280$.

ok, we’re in the new apartment, we’ve paid our first month of rent, and just yesterday i started at my new job. however, we unfortunately still need some help!

our fridge was broken when we moved in, and our landlords are gonna get it replaced but we honestly have no idea how long that’ll take, so we need money for fast food & non-perishables. all our food that needed to be refrigerated has gone bad at this point... we also need new pillows because our current sleeping situation has been really hard on my partner’s injured back. not to even mention medications, gas, etc :-(

can somebody please spare at least 36$ for my partner to get their meds refilled? theyre a Black queer autistic person who lost their job recently (due to regressive, racist policies), their health insurance along with it, and is struggling to find another job because apparently they’re considered “overqualified”....

their withdrawals cause extremely debilitating migraines and i really don’t want them to have to be in pain like that ever again. we can’t afford food right now, let alone these meds which we’re paying for completely out of pocket. i’m also running out of my own asthma/allergy medications, but that’s not as urgent because i can function without it.

Sorry if this is incoherent I am very feverish and ill.

my partner and i are about to get kicked out of our apartment on the 31st and we just found out we both have covid, so we wont be able to crash with our friend because shes poor too, living paycheck to paycheck, and we don't want to infect her!😭

My partner's abuser has been helping us financially somewhat but shes losing her patience... she was mad we didnt want to expose our friend to covid.

So we need money for a hotel room, movers because we're too sick and weak to move our own things, and for food and medicine. We're running out of everything...

We're trying our best. My partner has found a work from home job that will allow them to quarantine, thank god. However my new job won't let me stay home and idk what I'm gonna do come Monday cuz im high risk and I've spent the last two days bedridden crying and screaming all day from pain. I'm gonna try to get medicine to help my body fight this virus, because that's my only option left at this point.
