Harsenico & Santo Trafficante - “Vox populi”
Il nuovo album di Harsenico & Santo trafficante
Tumblr media

“OH”
Oh is the italian equivalent of hey (since we don’t use hey that much) and a lot more. Depending on the context/tone of voice it can mean different things: it’s used as a very informal greeting or as a way to answer the phone (again, only with someone you have great confidence with), but also, if said very loudly and with a lot of ‘o’,(=oooh) as a way to express frustration/impatience. Some people manages to use it in his aggresive acception even with one single ‘o’ before the ‘h’.
If you happen to be roman and in need to be really, really aggressive, like Giovanni Garau when he confronts homophobic assholes or classmates that laugh at his best friend for being gay, then you’ll probably add an ‘a’ before the ‘ò’. When the ‘a’ is there too there’s no mistaking the meaning, a roman is going to fight you. Aò. (Only case when there’s no h)
If you’re blonde and hot like Filippo Sava, you’ll find yourself singing ooooh oooooh as the song Rap Futuristico asks you to (managing to annoy your sister who is trying to study and text with her crush).
And last but not last, if you care so much about someone or if you’re actually really in love with them, (sottone, as we would say) you’ll find yourself whispering oh with the softest voice one could think of, and in that case the meaning will be ‘I love you’, ‘I’m here for you’, I’m worried about you’, ‘I want you to know that everything will be okay’, ‘I promise I will never hurt you’. (For more information on this particular meaning of oh, ask Edoardo Incanti. You’ll find him in his room, in a blanket burrito, crying because he misses Eleonora Francesca Sava.)

We fit together
Elia was laying on Filippo’s naked chest, with his fingers he traced circles on Filippo’s stomach. His thoughts were somewhere else. Filippo was running his fingers over Elia’s naked back.
‘What are you thinking about?’ Filippo asked and he cringed a little bit. Filippo wasn’t a fan of asking that question after sex but he knew something was bothering the other boy.
‘Nothing important.’ Elia said. Filippo waited patiently, knowing Elia would eventually speak his mind.
‘It’s just something the girls were talking about.’
‘What were they talking about?’ He asked when Elia didn’t continue.
‘They talked about some celebrity couple, don’t ask who because you know I don’t care about that shit, and their age difference. They said the age gab was too big so they probably wouldn’t last. It made me think.’
‘About what?’
‘Us.’ Filippo’s hand on Elia’s back stilled.
‘What about us?’ He asked carefully.
‘It’s just … there is four years between us. For some people that’s a lot. I know your friends tease you for being with a younger guy, just as you know my friends are teasing me for being with an older guy.’
‘I didn’t know it bothered you.’
‘It didn’t. It doesn’t.’
‘Elia, I’m a bit confused here. Do you have a problem with our age difference?’
‘No! I really don’t. I just never thought about it till now. And it makes me think about what other people will think. I mean what if our friends think we wouldn’t last either because of our age difference.’
‘Our friends wouldn’t think that. They would probably think we’re not going to last because of your shitty taste in music. I mean who doesn’t know Rap Futuristico?!’ Filippo laughed while Elia hit him.
‘Seriously, though. Do you ever think about it?’ Elia asked.
‘No.’ Filippo answered. ‘Because our relationship is so much more. We connect on so many levels. I can be completely myself when I am with you, I can let my guard down and I trust you. And I think we fit very well together.’
Elia pulled himself up and smiled.
‘You’re right.’ Elia said while straddling Filippo’s hips.
‘And there are some perks of being with an older guy.’
‘Hmm, like what?’ Elia kissed Filippo and grinded his hips. Filippo moaned.
‘Think about all the things you could teach me.’ Elia smirked. Filippo put his hands on Elia’s hips and flipped them over and grinned wickedly.
‘And I feel lucky to be with a younger guy because that means a great sex drive.’ He started to kiss Elia’s neck and moved his way down. Elia sighed happily and ached into Filippo’s touch. Filippo was right, they fitted perfectly together.

This series is so purely italian. It's not just a remake word by word or scene by scene, and it isn't let's be real, but there's so many layers tied to the italian culture and for us who live here it's a pleasure to watch. Because most italians shows aren't in tune with the generation and the tastes of the youth, the language, the things that make us excited or nostalgic for the high school years.
The italian songs used, the classics they use that bring some of us back to those days and make the teenagers of today scream or shake their heads. Bello e Impossibile at the karaoke, Sarà Perché Ti Amo remix during the girls dinner, Filippo singing Rap Futuristico at the top of his lungs. All are kind of anthems for us, they're not just italian songs thrown in there. It's extra representation.
It's a series into a series, it's not just Skam traslated, it represents our life, literally. Also the relationship with the parents, that is important for us. Many of us still live with them, or remember the struggle to connect with them. They are central part of our everyday living. And it's handled well.
Skam Italia is both modern and nostalgic and that's the magic of it, for us italians. And we understand if it doesn't reach everyone, it's normal, it's meant to reflect ONE culture and it does it wonderfully, believe us. Then of course its cinematography is a joy, the writing is wonderful and the acting, the bond and chemistry between the cast all do the rest. And what a rest, too.

Yesterday we were all a little bit overly excited because of Ele and Edo's texts, Chicco Rodi and Rap Futuristico, so I think this slipped our attention but Eleonora is preparing a radio program about migrants stories. The outline says that she will interview a migrant (Idris) and he'll talk about his journey. I know that probably we won't hear any of it but I guess I think that also international followers should know this.

Request: Can you write an Elippo fic where Elia is in Filippo’s room and he doesn’t know the song (last clip) and Filippo was like HOW DARE YOU NOT KNOW RAP FUTURISTICO and so he start playing it out loud and sing it to Elia doing dumb moves and at “tranne te” part screaming at his face and then kiss him like the Patatine e Marmellata clip?
Ele was frustrated. Today was shit. First she missed her bus home, so she had to walk, then the girls cancelled their study night, claiming there was a party. She called their mum and tried to talk to her, but it wasn't a very long conversation, since Filippo's been playing loud music in his room since he arrived from school. The music alone didn't bug her as much as the fact that Filippo started singing the moment their mum picked up. Seriously, the worst moment. He could be singing the whole day and she would be fine with it, she was used to it, but the fact that he was quiet the whole time until that moment pissed her off. And then a text from Edoardo came. He wouldn't stop bothering her. What deity did she piss off to have a day this bad? "Tranne te, tra–" The singing suddenly stopped and Ele sighed with relief. At least something positive today.
Filippo has had a good day. His classes were okay and went by surprisingly fast. When he exited the building, his boyfriend was waiting for him with a cup of coffee and the sweetest smile. After greeting each other with a kiss they walked straight to his place, hiding from Eleonora and stealing kisses while giggling like little kids. Once the door was locked, Fili put on some music and turned the volume up so they wouldn't be heard. Then he turned to Elia, who was standing in front of his bed, looking around as if he was visiting for the first time. He walked closer, leaning in to kiss him. Elia happily reciprocated, smiling a little. When they parted, Filippo smirked and pushed Elia, who landed on the bed with a squeal that was thankfully drowned out by the music. After he stopped laughing at his boyfriend's surprised face, Filo joined him on the bed. They immediately locked lips, constantly touching and moving around, both of them trying to climb onto the other one. After a while Filippo won, pinning Elia's hands above his head and leaning in to kiss his neck with a victorious smile. While he was getting marked, Elia thanked his boyfriend in his head for being so smart and turning the music on so the noises they were making wouldn't give them away. He grabbed Fili's hair and pulled him up for one more kiss before releasing him to take his shirt off. Not long after, all of their clothes were thrown on the floor.
They were just lying in bed, happy and spent, when Filippo suddenly sat up. "Ooh I love this song!" "Really? I've never heard of it," Elia reached out and tried to get his boyfriend to lie back down. "I really hope you're joking," Fili said while getting up to turn the volume all the way up, looking back at Elia, who just shook his head. "You're NOT? How can you not know this?! Rap Futuristico is legendary!" "As legendary as Drag Race? 'Cause I haven't heard of that either until I met you." "In this household? YES!" Filippo then proceeded to climb back to bed, singing along with the song, kneeling in front of Elia. Elia watched his boyfriend dance ridiculously, arms flailing above his head, screaming out the words, and couldn't help but laugh at his silliness. His laughter only lasted a few seconds, because not long after that he was overwhelmed with the amount of love that he felt for the older boy. He sat up, smiling, still keeping eye contact with Fili and tried to lean in and kiss him, but his boyfriend always stuck his tongue out at him and didn't let him. After a few tries he gave up and tried to listen to the song. It wasn't bad, quite good actually. A bit repetitive, but that was a good thing, this way Elia could pick up some of the lyrics and try to sing along with his boyfriend. He mouthed the words, still looking directly into Fili's eyes. Filippo smiled happily and finally leaned in to kiss him, effectively silencing them both for at least a few seconds. "You know, I think I actually love you more than that song."
