At Dhordo, a village close to Rann of Kutch where a brand-new tent city has been created, complete with temporary infrastructure built and rebuilt every year, what started as a three-day festival gradually changed into a 100-day celebration.
One of India's most anticipated tourism events, Rann Utsav honors Kutch's rich cultural and artistic heritage as well as the natural wonders of the White Desert. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who was the Gujarat Chief Minister at the time, came up with the idea for the Rann Utsav.
The official dates for Rann Utsav have been announced: October 26th, 2022 to February 20th, 2023.
