Uh
Looks like a couple different things took off in the last few days, hi new followers
I guess I'll keep doing what I've been doing, though a heads up if you're here for dragons you might want to filter the tag "the magnus archives" since I think most of what I've got on deck to post is fanart...

I’m finally watching banana fish HOLY SHIT I’m only on ep 4 and I’m already feeling pain 🥲
I am also walking into this anime without actually knowing what happens or what it’s about but I am gobsmacked.
I thought it was a romance anime for years.
I have had the benefit of not being spoiled for a lot of anime’s up until now coz I never really engaged with stuff online until now

Sometimes the hardest question to answer is the simplest one: “Tell me about yourself.”
For many of us, that moment feels heavy. You pause, second-guess, maybe even shut down.
It isn’t because you lack a personality. It’s because opening up can feel risky.
Fear of judgment. Shyness. Low self-esteem. Cultural expectations to stay humble. Or even just avoiding the rawness of vulnerability.
But silence doesn’t mean boring. It means you’re protecting yourself. And that’s okay.
The truth is, learning to talk about yourself is something you can practice. Start small with light details (like your favorite show or a recent memory).
Reframe the thought from “I need to impress” to “I want to connect.” Share in layers, little by little, and notice how your comfort grows.
In Why Don’t I Like Talking About Myself?, we explore these reasons in depth and share gentle ways to get more comfortable.
Spaces like Emerald Chat can even give you room to practice without fear of judgment.
Because in the end, talking about yourself isn’t arrogance, it’s how we build connection. And that connection is what makes us human.

I'm wondering if i should reblog everything that i've ever liked here. For some reason, I've always felt uneasy about reposting, like i felt that i should maintain an image for my page/blog, or i feel that my original content will be flooded or my obsession evident or there's questionable things, and occasional thought "it's not like i have a big audience anyway" is not helping… even though no one here knows me personally to care about all of this… we'll see

You’re fucking AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
Aaaaa thank you so much, and thank you for the really sweet tags!
Also

*grips your shoulders* YES YOU GET IT
Like with Martin's design I've been trying to balance between "unremarkable guy who can fade into the background" and "hottest bear possible" and I'm glad I'm somehow managing to pull that off.
Jon, on the other hand, has a slider on his character customization screen that unlocks at the end of season one that's just labeled "Wretched Creature" and while the exact value wiggles around it's never zero after that
ADDENDUM: posting publicly because apparently if you save a response as a draft the "send privately" option goes away, and I don't think the sender gets notified if you just "post privately"? If anyone else has sent an ask and didn't get a response it might've gone into The Abyss I'm sorry
#I should probably condense down and post my character design Thoughts(tm) on what I put into the stew with Martin and Jon#wyrm ask tag#random chatter#tma podcast

Finding Better Matches Online Isn’t Luck, It’s About Filters ✨
Ever jumped into a random chat and felt like it went nowhere? We get it. Random conversations can be fun, but they don’t always lead to meaningful ones. That’s why on Emerald Chat, filtering your matches makes all the difference.
Here’s what helps:
Specific tags spark real conversations. “Indie rock” connects better than just “music.” “K-drama” is more engaging than “movies.” The more specific, the better.
Wait time matters. Quick matches get you chatting fast, but giving the system a little more time often leads to connections that feel worth it.
Filters create space for safety and comfort. Choosing by country, gender, or intimacy preferences lets you set the tone you’re comfortable with.
Keep it honest, keep it fresh. The best chats happen when your tags actually reflect what you love, and when you update them as your interests shift.
At the end of the day, filters aren’t about closing doors. They’re about opening the right ones — the ones that lead to conversations that feel real, natural, and sometimes even unforgettable.
So if you’ve ever thought “online chats are just random,” maybe give it another try. Play with the filters. Add the tags that matter to you. You might be surprised by who you meet when the system knows what you’re really looking for.
