OHMG, Hello!
I just noticed your list of fandoms, and I saw IB, that's the first time one artist I follow that knows that game, If I may ask, who is your favourite character and ending?
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa IB is like.... is my favorite horror rpg game of all times !!! Because idk... the first time I saw the game I was fascinated, like... The concept of a haunted art gallery, the roses, the characters, and the main theme omg....
I think I saw gameplay of it for the first time when I was bingewatching pewdiepie's horror rpg videos (started w/ his ao oni series) And idk if pewdiepie ever finished the game at the time but og boy I rushed to go get the game, unsure of what I was reding in the english instructions and managed to install and play it !
Since I had seen a bit of gameplay I was already prepared for a few stressful moments of the game well, that's what I thought at least.... Anyway, aside from the horrible horrible blue doll room with a timed event, loved the game especially the dynamic between Ib and Garry ! In tumblr terms, he's the first boyfailure character I experienced and I immediately loved him, his goofy purple hair, him hiding behind a child but kinda trying his best to be the adult of the situation.... I still love him dearly to this day... And that "hey macarons are good when we get out of here we could eat some !" conversation.... I.... That being said the optimal ending to me is when both Ib and garry make it out safely, and even better if it's the ending where Garry and Ib actually remember all the stuff they went trough... I get teary eyed thinking about it because so much nostalgia and attachment to the game hhhgsfhd.... Like... I don't mind mary (anymore, as a kid I hated her guts) but when she started plucking the petals from Garry's rose, I (at the time in middle school) just... I closed the game and straight up never opened it for at least two months straight, because I loved Garry so much it just fucked me up at that time. So yeah, safe Garry and Ib endings ! (sorry Mary, I never related to you in any way so I had a hard time sympathizing ) Little doodle of all the sillies ! I love this game but rarely do art of this game because I have such respect and love for it that I want to do (non shitpost) art that would match the level of admiration and awe I have for IB in my eyes
#Ib game#rambling on my fave horror rpg#still havent played the remake#kinda wanted to livestream it to my friends at some point but I don't think they'll ever be interested so I gave up on the idea...#garry the long lasting blorbo

YOUR ART IS SO SO PRETTY!
and as someone who had a very long Monster High hyperfixation, i need to ask:
Who's your fav?
YOUR BLOG IS SO DELIGHTFUL! <333
thank you so much anon this means a lot 🥰 I’m happy you’re enjoying your stay at the ghost ward 🖤
I have a few favorites it’s hard to choose just one 😭 a lot of it depends on my horror induced brainrot
I think my number one favorite across all gens would have to be Frankie Stein! My second fave is Spectra of course and my third would have to be Twyla Boogey man!
Ramble underneath the cut skfjdnjwjdke
Frankie was one of the two very first monster high dolls I got as a kid (they were the ghouls alive dolls)
When I hit 18 I finally read Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and it completely changed my brain chemistry. I love that Frankie is living the life that could have drastically changed the creature’s outcome. They live in a family and go to a school where they are loved and accepted for who they are, scars and all. I hope they get to live a long happy life 🖤
I personally like the studious fashion that’s been leaning more emo lately.
Spectra V was the second ghoul I got on the same christmas I got Frankie so I always associated her with Jacob Marley from The Christmas Carol. I wanna create a scary chain shaking scene with her eventually (btw one of my all time favorite depiction of The Christmas Carol; besides the muppets version, is Mr.Magoo’s Christmas Carol)
I always loved ghost characters idk why I just found the idea of someone’s spirit still lingering long after they have died fascinating. I also love the darker look her first gen core outfit has. I blame her for my obsession with laced up boots and corsets. It’s fun to think about how she got chained up. I notice she has a lock and key theme on her other gen 1 dolls, I wonder if her sins and guilt involve secrets.
Twyla 🖤 my baby
Her purple bunny motif is adorable and I love that she plays table top rpgs. I like to think she plays a lot of the White Wolf rpgs.
I really wanna get into table top rpgs myself but I’m so socially inept lmao 😭
I’m autistic myself and seeing a character just out right say they are autistic is really refreshing. Not to sound corny but I teared up a little bit when I first saw the scene. I relate to her song too
“I've got stories of monsters that live in my head
People and places I'll never forget
The shadows are dancing, they creep up the walls
But that don't define me at all”
I like the raspy voice she has the first two gens but I think her new voice is cute!
I also have to mention third gen Abbey Bominable and Catty Nior. Specifically third gen! They’re my mom’s absolute favorites! Their monster qualities are more prominent while still being beautiful. She loves the new body molds for the ghouls. It’s really sweat to see wider variety of bodies types in a doll line 🖤
(Catty’s photo is a stock photo, it does not belong to me)
#ty anon mwah mwah mwah 🖤#Lagoona has a special place in my heart too 🖤 I think the pink coral skin with the hints of blue look really especially with the glitter#I like to think she’s a long decendant of the gilman from the Creature from the Black Lagoon#that’s where her chomps came from hehehe#I’m also obsessed with operetta atm I love phantom of the opera#I could go on forever about each reason why I love every single character I’m not kidding#the luigi board#i am not normal#yap yap yap#monster high tag#monster high#frankie stein#twyla boogieman#spectra vondergeist

Fave Long Fics
good ol' @arahir is asking for everyone's fave long fics, so here are mine!
sorry if the rambling is a bit long, I just want to express my love <3
🌟: denotes a fic that belongs in the literary equivalent of the Louvre-- a stunning piece of writing even outside of its contribution to the fandom
JJBA
🌟 scheherazade -- shylittleghost; Josuke/Okuyasu-centric, but multiple POVs; canon-compliant prequel/sequel to part 4, necessary to read/watch part 4 to understand
this is one of those fics that not only elevates the original work in several ways, but it's a stunning piece of writing as a whole. the flow and tone of the piece is so unique and difficult to describe, with a fitting balance between mystery/horror and deadpan humor, and uses the narrating voice to play with the 4th wall in a really fun and satisfying way. oh, and one of the last chapters is a little RPG game, adding a bit little multimedia twist <3
BEASTARS
🌟 Mongrels and Strays series (mainly Mongrels and Lockjaw)-- HassouToby; technically Mongrels' primary ships are Legosi/Haru and Louis/Juno, but it's more genfic with multiple POVs. Lockjaw is Pina/Riz-centric; canon divergence from ch 156 of the manga, so it's necessary to read at least that far to understand
I have a complicated love/hate relationship with Beastars, but this fic honestly retroactively makes Beastars a better experience, imo. it not only enhances the source material, but engages and challenges its implications in ways that I frankly think Beastars itself failed to, introducing a new final antagonist, new thematic tension, and new challenges for the main characters to face. more than anything though, Mongrels feels like what the end of Beastars should have been. this fic isn’t afraid to up the stakes and have actual consequences, making the central conflict feel like a real threat to both individual characters and society as a whole. this fic is intense and brutal, and it’s not afraid to make the characters you love hurt
Homestuck
🌟 Detective Pony -- sonnetstuck; Dirk-centric(??); it's an extension of a one-off joke in the comic, but it's not necessary to know HS to read it (but it's def more satisfying if you're at least familiar with the Alpha kids)
does this fic even need to be stated, for any HS fan? this is a classic of classics, the best rec any HS fan could give. a fic that starts off with a goofy joke from the original comic (a Pony Pals kid's book that Dirk has edited with silly commentary), which gradually snowballs into a much deeper story. a stunning piece of writing, I rank it among the best works of metafiction literature of all time. this fic does an incredible job of imitating Hussie's writing style (specifically Dirk's voice) and the multi-media presentation of HS, it almost feels like it popped straight out of the comic
Endangered -- Mortior; Dirk/Hal, Dirk-centric; robot-apocalypse AU, not necessary to know anything about HS
rly fun au, and one of my fave whump fics, for any whump fans out there. it's also one of my favorite depictions of an AI personality, like the approach to relationships and perceptions feels believable
The Magnus Archives
🌟 Two Ships Passing -- pyrites; Gerry Keay/Jon Sims-centric; a canon-divergent au starting before canon which slightly shifts the flow of the original story, so it's not strictly necessary to be familiar with TMA, but it helps
I must admit I never got around to finishing this one after it finished updating (😭), but trust me when I say this fic is stunning. some scenes still grip me 'round the throat to this day even just thinking about them. and the additional lore/background-building for certain characters is so so fitting and satisfying, it adds so much depth
To The Moon and Back series (main fic is Banned Book Week) -- verboseDescription; several different POVs, though BBB is Gerry/Tim-centric; the main fic diverges from canon after season 3, so I suppose knowledge up to that point is fine
another one I need to get around to finishing someday (idk why I dropped off a bunch of TMA fics specifically...), but this one introduces some interesting new character dynamics, and additional lore-building for many of the characters that adds fun new depth. also a few OCs whom I simply adore <3
What Belongs to the Sea -- TwoDrunkenCelestials, WhyNotFly; starts Elias/Jon, with Jon/Martin endgame, Jon-centric; "Jon is a selkie" au, and the fic implies/explains the rest of canon well enough to read without being familiar with TMA imo
this fic approaches canon worldbuilding from the direction of a different species, giving a unique new perspective on established truths of the setting. I also love the way Jon's character is so different, but still fundamentally the same kinda guy-- "fuck around and find out"-ass man lmao. not to mention Elias' fucked-up dynamic with Jon is ramped up here in a really delicious way, it rly puts their canon dynamic into perspective
Danny Phantom
🌟 Phantom of Truth / Shadow of a Doubt -- HaiJu; Danny Fenton & Maddie Fenton-centric; "what if" scenario divergence from an unspecific point in canon, would prolly be best to be familiar with the show but u can prolly get away with some wiki skimming
this one's a classic, and one of the big contributors to the "dissection/vivisection" genre of whump in the DP fandom, haha. it's such an intimate analysis of Danny's relationship with his mom, and it refuses to pull punches on Danny's situation and resulting trauma. I think it also does an excellent job challenging Maddie's perception/ethics in genuine and fundamental ways
Rise of the Guardians (movie)
🌟 Shadows and Light series -- not_poignant; Jack Frost/Pitch Black, Jack-centric; canon-compliant sequel to the movie (can't speak for book canon), u can prolly get away with reading a wiki summary if u don't wanna watch the movie
one of my fave fics for a decade now, I absolutely LOVE what this fic does for ROTG worldbuilding. so much thought is put into the politics of the fae community, and how magic functions both practically and thematically. and it introduces a ton of cool fae ocs, many of which now have their own stories, as the author has used their fae world here in other original stories as well (would also recommend!!). and the relationship between Pitch/Jack is excellent of course, with a lot of interesting BDSM elements to their dynamic (a common trend in this author's other writing as well)
Mob Psycho 100
🌟 A Breach of Trust -- Phantomrose96; Ritsu, Mob, & Reigen-centric, but multiple other POVs as well; diverges from canon before the start of the canon story, so knowing MP100 isn't necessary
this is a really fun "what if Reigen and Mob didn't meet when they were supposed to?" canon-divergent au. it pushes basically every character to their worst, most self-destructive ends, and it makes me want to throttle some of them (affectionate <3). the fic isn't done yet (as of posting this), but it promises to end satisfyingly-- it just has to put everyone through the wringer first lmao
Welcome to Night Vale
🌟 run, run, fast as you-- -- (orphaned); Cecil/Carlos, Carlos-centric; compliant with early NV lore, mostly diverges in some of Carlos' background and motivations moving to Night Vale. familiarity with s1 would be useful, but not strictly necessary
really really stunning fic, I love the additional lore-building for Carlos and Cecil here, so much is added to their characters. since this is such an old fic, some of the lore here ends up being retroactively false, as the podcast introduced different lore later on. but I almost wish some of the lore here was canon b/c it's just that good (like Cecil's whole thing with the orphanage, and how the orphanage even functions OUGH!)
The Devil Went Down To Georgia (you heard that right, the country song)
🌟 The Devil Went Down to Georgia (And Then Went Down on Johnny) series -- notbecauseofvictories; Johnny/The Devil, Johnny-centric; I guess a modern take on canon, kinda treated like an original story tbh, but like. you can also just listen to the song beforehand
the author clearly has a deep knowledge and passion for music-- especially country music-- and it rly shines through in this fic. the celebration of music and community and country culture here is just. idk, it's like being invited to the table, somehow, I love it. this whole fic is poetry and it makes me ache
Portal
Blue Sky -- wafflestories; Wheatley/Chell-centric; canon-compliant sequel to the second game, necessary to know the games to understand
I must admit it's been several years since I've read this one, so my memory of it isn't quite as strong. but I remember it being a very loving rehabilitation of Wheatley and Chell's relationship, and I believe it's considered a classic by the ship's fans.
How To Train Your Dragon (movie)
I Hear Him Scream -- Rift-Raft; Toothless & Hiccup-centric; diverges from canon at the point when Hiccup downs Toothless with the net at the beginning of the movie, so watching the movie isn't super necessary, tho I imagine most of us have seen it (as we should!!)
I don't know that I would call this one particularly well-written-- it can get kinda awkward and jarring at points, and the end of the story kinda goes off the rails for me. but the premise and worldbuilding make up for it, imo. but I admit I love xenofiction, so I love seeing the deep lore about dragon culture/society this fic presents
Kekkai Sensen
Fleißiger Junge -- TheLennyBunny; Klaus/Leo, Leo-centric; demon/angel au, not necessary to know KKSS
I really love the demon/angel worldbuilding in this one, with a delicious twist of horror that's so fitting to canon /chef's kiss/. and the way Leo's family is characterized (with several OC characters) is so so fun and charming. good eating for the starving Klaus/Leo fans out there 😭
RWBY
🌟 Teaching Qrow -- ByronNightshade; Qrow-centric; a canon-compliant prequel to the canon story, a bit of knowledge about the setting and Qrow's backstory are kinda necessary
I fucking love what this fic does for Qrow's character, it treats him with way more nuance and understanding than canon ever has (tho tbf, most Qrow fans do, lol). and all the additional OCs and building on the subtle implications of RWBY lore... AUGH it's good
My Hero Academia
Hero Class Civil Warfare -- RogueDruid; genfic with multiple POVs; "what if" scenario divergence from an unspecific point in canon, prolly necessary to at least be familiar with the world/characters to a point
really fun "what if this class exercise got got a bit too intense, haha~" au. it introduces a ton of fun new dynamics between the characters, and lets Izuku shine as a badass, chessmaster "villain"
Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint
Imaginary Truths -- Mythril; Kim Dokja/Yoo Joonghyuk-centric; actor au, not necessary to know ORV
this fic does an excellent job translating the canon relationships/dynamics to this setting, and keeps the core of the story/themes intact in rly interesting ways.
new game (+) -- illusionedwhite; Kim Dokja/Yoo Joonghyuk, Yoo Joonghyuk-centric; role-reversal au, and since it starts from the beginning where where canon would have started, I guess it's not technically necessary to read ORV first? but ORV provides more context
this fic is rly careful about the particular way Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk switch roles-- it's very much about their story roles. their core characters/themes remain intact, they're just interpreted through a new lens here. this is for the fans that read ORV and thought, "what if I want to read ORV again, but slightly to the left?"
Genshin Impact
🌟 Begin Anew, O Lost Child -- DarthPeezy; Childe/Zhongli/Guizhong, Childe-centric; a time-travel au that diverges from canon at the battle with Osial in the Liyue chapter, so familiarity up to that point is necessary
there's something about circularity and connection, here. about reaching across expanses of time to connect with those you love, and those you lost. about the horror of fate, and the hope for a future in spite of it. idk, this fic did something to me
we were lovers -- ThirteenSocks; Kazuha/his unnamed friend, Kazuha-centric; "Kazuha loses his vision" au, with a few twists. this fic doesn't really touch canon involving the traveler, but familiarity with Inazuma is necessary, so at least up through that chapter in-game.
what else can I say except this fic is beautiful-- it has the same melodic quality that I associate with Kazuha himself, so it feels perfectly appropriate.
To Be or Not To Be (Human With You) -- lilbittofmatcha; Aether/Scaramouche, Aether-centric; diverges after the end of the whole Sumeru chapter, familiarity up to that point is necessary
I really really love Traveler fics that acknowledge that the Traveler is essentially an otherworldy alien being, and was perhaps even godlike(??) before landing in Teyvat. I especially love Aether's characterization here, and the obvious comparisons to be made with Scara's situation
Sinking Ships in Liyue Harbor -- whereherbonesareburied; Diluc/Kaeya, Diluc-centric; a "what if Kaeya left" divergence from canon sometime after the events of the Mondstadt chapter. it's necessary to be familiar with Kaeya and Diluc's relationship, so reading up on their lore is best, though familiarity up through the Liyue chapter will help with this one
something about the pacing and framing of this fic really charms me. like, Diluc's journey to find Kaeya is kinda framed as a series meetings with several new people, like snapshots from a photo album? it's fun to see so many different, brief impressions of characters through his eyes
Osomatsu-san
Dissociation Disease -- PyrrhicFiend; Karamatsu-centric; technically features multiple AUs, but the core story is show canon. not strictly necessary to be familiar with the show
a fic I never ended up finishing (someday..), but I remember it being incredibly trippy and bizarre in the best of ways. though it may not be the best fic to read dealing with dissociation themself, because it grapples a lot with warped perception and hallucinations
🌟 Frater, Ave Atque Vale -- (orphaned); Karamatsu/Osomatsu, Osomatsu-centric; fantasy AU, not necessary to know the show
this one's perhaps on the razor's edge of not being long enough for this list, but I'm counting it anyways. there's something about 'brief' writing styles that often captures me, like parsing a scene down to its bare essentials makes the tone/emotion land more powerfully. this fic is probably my favorite example of this style
Voltron: VLD
The Rites of Courtship -- calibratingentropy; Keith/Thace, Keith-centric; canon-divergence from the end of s1 ep12, and it's kinda necessary to be familiar at least to that point, though u might be able to skim the wiki
a rarepair I never woulda considered if a friend hadn't recced this fic to me way back, haha. this fic features some of my favorite alien worldbuilding, with a lot of thought and care put into Galran culture and biology, I think about it a lot as a specevo creator myself
The Favored Champion -- sugarapplesweet; Sendak/Shiro, Shiro-centric; canon-divergence before canon, while Shiro is still a coliseum fighter
real fucked-up Stockholm Syndrome abusive relationship, Shiro goes thru the wringer </3. I love the way the relationship with the Lions is depicted here too, the chapter where Shiro basically screams at the Black Lion grips me by the throat. another great example of cool Galra worldbuilding too, not as heavy on the bio side as the last one but fun to see either way!
Tokyo Mew Mew
The Deal -- RizuOnceAgain; Ichigo/Quiche, Ichigo-centric; canon-divergent from an unspecified(?) point in canon, and I um. I've never watched TMM and know very little beyond TMM's basic premise and main characters? so take that as you will
I don't often read fics from things I'm not familiar with, but I trust my friend's recs with my life, and this one did not disappoint. I can't speak on how faithful it is to the original, but Ichigo/Quiche's dynamic here makes me go crazy nutso bonkers!! it has me banging on the walls and chewing furniture, oh my god!! it almost makes me wanna watch the show even tho I know I won't like it nearly as much as this fic 😭.
#there are still a few fics I can't in good faith rec here simply b/c of the source material#sigh. they still live in me heart tho. and my AO3 <3#shut up ashley#I may end up updating this as I please#fic recs

My Top 10 Games of All Time
Just so I’m not talking about Smash Bros for once, here’s my top 10 games of all time that I will always think are perfect and never accept that they have flaws! Enjoy and I hope one of your faves is in here!
Probably spoilers for the games I mention under the cut
10. Kingdom Hearts II (2005)
For those of you unfamiliar with the series, Kingdom Hearts is a big weird crossover between Disney and Final Fantasy. I played this game as a kid and it was mostly exploring the Disney worlds and the really good combat system that kept me interested (I had literally no clue what was happening in the story and still kind of don’t) and I never really lost that sense of nostalgia that became attached to this game for me. And yeah I’m definitely getting Kingdom Hearts 3.
9. Life Is Strange (2015)
Life Is Strange is an emotional, cheesily written episodic series that I got into totally by accident about a teenage girl called Max who does some high school stuff and also has superpowers. What really made this game so memorable for me was the sheer emotion behind a lot of the plot and I will admit I cried several points during, which is what made the game stick with me. Plus this has one of the best soundtracks I’ve heard in a game so yeah. Go play it (and everything on this list).
8. Until Dawn (2015)
This game probably doesn’t belong here but I love it. Until Dawn follows 8 teenagers who go back to a snowy cabin where some shit went down the year before and u have to keep them all alive by making the right choices n stuff. The horror factor is good in this game, but it’s mostly the characters and how strangely attached I was to them by the end (I know they’re all tropes but I still love them). I’ve honestly lost count of the amount of times I’ve replayed this. Still probably gonna do it again.
7. Mass Effect 2 (2010)
The sequel to what is basically the space version of Dragon Age is shamefully my only exposure to the Mass Effect series, but the gameplay and characters left enough of a mark on me to give it a comfortable spot in this list. Mass Effect 2 follows Commander Shepard, overly macho space guy/gal who is a terrible flirt as he attempts to rid the universe of some massive insects. Along the way, you run into a huge cast of memorable, unique characters (and then Jacob as well) and explore a wealth of interesting and varying locations. But what really made the game stick out were the genuine lasting consequences of the frankly huge final mission; if you don’t make the right choices and buy the right upgrades, a lot of your faves are going to die.
6. Dishonored (2012)
This entry in my list is a bit cheaty, as it includes all dlc expansions from the first game as well as Dishonored 2, because all of these are just as good as each other. Dishonored puts you in the shoes of self-righteous arsehole Corvo Attano (I’m kidding btw, he’s only an arse if you make him kill everyone) as he gets framed for the murder of his lover who also happens to be the Empress, as well as the kidnap of his daughter who also happens to be the Empress’ daughter. So kind of a big deal. But all joking aside, Dishonored is one of the finest examples of the first person stealth genre, with arguably its only flaw being that it gives you a sprawling variety of fun and interesting ways to kill people and then makes you feel like a monster at the end of the game for doing it. I played this game and its sequels to death, and became especially invested in the character of Daud (who was totally butchered in Death of the Outsider. Yeah, I really wasn’t a fan of that game. Like, I love Billie Lurk and everything but what the hell were they thinking doing THAT to the Outsider?? Sorry I’m rambling)
5. Dragon Age: Origins (2009)
And now to one of the best RPGs I’ve ever played, Dragon Age is fucking amazing from start to finish. A gripping storyline, characters and companions that are impossible to forget and a combat system that’s fairly easy to get to grips with but becomes a bit of an arse later in the game. As much as I liked Inquisition (despite the fact it butchered Leliana. That’s just my hot take I don’t think anyone else thinks this, she just kind of lost that sense of fun and badassery that made her my fave in Origins. Rambling again), none of the other games in the series really matched up to the original for me.
4. Medievil Resurrection (2005)
I’ve been reliably informed that I am Bad And Naughty for loving this version of the game because it’s apparently rubbish compared to the PS1 version. But I loved this game so much as a kid that I played it to DEATH. Like more than Dishonored. The levels aren’t quite open world, but you get so immersed in them that you think they are. Honestly, I’ve never played a game with such a creative concept behind it, with humour that’s surprisingly meta for an RPG of the time, not to mention the fact that there’s a whole level devoted to carnival minigames. Are you not convinced yet? Well, you should be because Tom Baker is a voice in it and it’s coming out as a remaster for the PS4 at some point (I hope it’s soon. It’s gone eerily quiet)
3. Undertale (2015)
I know this is high for such a recent game, but it really has justified its place. I don’t care how much this game or its following has been ruined by the internet, I still hold it in the same regard I did when I first played it (and then bought all the subsequent ports because I’m a Capitalist Sheep). With an amazing narrative, some spicy retro-era graphics, memorable characters and possibly the best soundtrack I’ve ever heard in a game, there’s no way I’m ever getting sick of Undertale.
2. Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies (2009)
What sets this game apart from the other RPGs on this list was that not only did it have everything I look for in a game (amazing narrative, characters, soundtrack, game design, combat and open world) but it carried it all out with a sense of emotion I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Every single character, every single detail seemed to be something else you immediately became attached to and it all comes together to make a game so immersive I didn’t put it down for a solid 3 years, even after I’d completed it. Basically, if you own a DS, you NEED to play this. Like you will cry many times throughout this game. Sometimes happy crying (I think I just get a bit too invested in these things tbh)
Before I ramble on incessantly about my number 1 pick, here’s some of the best bois I’ve played that didn’t quite make the list:
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (2017) - I’m loving this game to bits so far. I’m only a recent Switch owner so I’m catching up on what I’ve missed and if this game carries on the way it is, it’s going to have to be in my top 10.
Rayman Legends (2013) - Fun, unique and memorable platformer that especially shines in couch co-op. I’ve played this one countless times and I won’t stop until Rayman gets in Smash.
The Walking Dead series (2012-2018) - One of the best sets of decision based games on the market and perfect if you’re looking for a game that tears your heart out and stomps on it!
Fallout 4 (2015) - Amazing open world, characters and combat. Well-designed, genuinely terrifying monsters. The ability to name your weapons ridiculous things. Heck yeah it’s going on this list.
Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales (2006) - A cute lil card based RPG that was a Final Fantasy spin-off no one seemed to like. But hey, I loved it and I’ll never say it’s anything other than perfect because childhood.
1. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (2006)
Oh my god. Ohhh my god. Where do I even begin with this one? Yes, Skyrim was amazing, but Oblivion just beats it due to a combination of a storyline I prefer (oops sorry), nostalgic attachment and a lovely set of glitches and exploits that to me make the game all the more lovable. There’s nothing I’ve played since Oblivion that’s matched the experience of wandering through a forest or one of the cities with THAT MUSIC in the background. And don’t even get me started on the quests. And that Shivering Isles DLC? Big yes. I knew this segment wouldn’t make much sense but I love the game so much that I can’t even begin to tell you all the things that make it my favourite.
Thank you for reading if you made it this far! It was just me rambling about games really but I appreciate u a lot if you made it this far. Have a good day and if you get the time, pick up one or two of the titles on this list! You bigly won’t regret it.

I think you should do ALL THE ASKS :D
WELL ALL RIGHT THENA - Ships that you currently like a lot. (They don’t have to be OTPs because not everyone has OTPs.) Friendships, pairings, threesomes, etc. are allowed.1) DCAU TimSteph2) ItsuHaru3) Logan x Diana Prince4) Itsuki Koizumi x Kyouya OotoriB - A pairing–platonic, romantic or sexual–that you initially didn’t consider, but someone changed your mind.*looks at WonderWolf and SuperBats*C - A ship you have never liked and probably never will.BatCat. Even back when I wasn’t a fan of Batman I remember I read one DCAU comic involving Catwoman, and her character just didn’t appeal to me.D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t.Any Kagepro ships tbh. Idk I’m just not really invested in the romance of the series. I prefer them all as friends/platonic.E - Have you added anything cracky/hilarious to your fandom? If so, what?Ahaha… I’ve contributed a fair bit of Kagecrack through vids/posts, though I think my favorite are these BTAS crossover edits. Also Kyorange and Skitzo!Kyon for TMoHS. (Plus the “genderbent cast is the previous generation” theory if that counts?)F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom?Well I’ve been a Pokémon fan since elementary school. While I no longer watch the show/play the games, I still follow the new generations and RP on occasion.G - Have you ever had an OTP? If so, do you remember your first one? Who was in it?Eeyup. While I don’t ship too often, when I do I ship HARD. ItsuHaru was my first real “obsessive” OTP, but I think the honor for the *very* first ship I had goes to… Cody x Ken from Digimon S2, in a sense. *shot* ^^; Idk I was just really focused on the idea of them making up and becoming “friends”. XP Though I also shipped Ken with Kari too bc of the Dark Ocean stuff. (Also Gary Oak x Molly Hale from Pokémon but that’s a whole other story. >.>; )H - What is your favorite source text for fandom stuff (e.g., TV shows, movies, books, anime, Western animation, etc.)?I’m still mostly a weeb so animu is my go-to, but I’ve been branching out to more Western stuff lately. (Although when it comes to Kagepro the songs are still the best medium. =3=)I - Has Tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?Steven Universe. While I still love the show, hearing about all the toxicity in the fandom really turned me off so I just try to avoid it.J - Name a fandom you didn’t think about until you saw it all over Tumblr. (You don’t have to care about it or follow it; it just has to be something that Tumblr made you aware of.)Again, Steven Universe. Also Over the Garden Wall and Bojack Horseman (the former of which I still really recommend you see).K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?I’m also gonna say Sunset Shimmer from Equestria Girls. She went from being a seemingly one-off villain to a fully redeemed good guy and leader in her own right. Though she still has her insecurities, it lets her relate to and help others in the same situation to not let those feelings of inadequacy or jealousy overcome them. Also Midna from Twilight Princess. Her change of heart from servicing her own needs to selfless sacrifice after observing how hard Link tried to save others mirrors my own feelings when I met Link in OoT/MM and watched him grow into a true hero, working to help both the people of Hyrule and Termina even when he had no obligation or was openly blamed for Ganon’s rise to power.L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves. (Characters you’re neutral about are fair game, as are characters you merely dislike. Characters that you absolutely loathe with the fire of ten thousand suns are exempt, as there is no point in giving yourself an aneurysm over a character that you hate.)So I’m not a big fan of Dick Grayson in the DCAU (or any of his animated adaptations aside from Lego Batman; his YJ version being especially egregious) since I see him as rather childish and bad at dealing with conflict, but he’s admittedly a lot better in the tie-in comics, which give him some much needed development as Nightwing (whereas he barely got any screentime in TNBA). There he acts as a genuine big brother to Tim, and is shown to not be as nearly as bitter at Bruce as the Old Wounds ep would have one believe. I also like that they highlight Dick’s fondness for music, wherein his musical knowledge actually comes in handy to solve a couple cases.M - Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend. All of the Mekakushi Dan, SOS Brigade, or Host Club tbhN - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice).1) More Kagepro content in general2) More DCAU TimSteph 3) More ItsuHaru
O - Choose a song at random. Which ship or character does it remind you of?Growing Up - Run River NorthDefinitely a Timmy Todd/TimSteph song now that I think about it. Especially the lines “I found my way without your help, with a broken family” and “monsters in my head”. ;(P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).…Tbh I’m really liking the “Legion x Ouran” idea lately. XD *shot*Q - A fandom you’ve abandoned and why.Hm… I don’t think there are any I’ve really “abandoned”, per se. Most of them are still there, just not at the forefront anymore.R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom? All the relationships in Kagepro *shot*S - Show us an example of your personal headcanon (prompts optional but encouraged)Molly Hale from the third movie is the god of the Pokémon world. Just… don’t ask lol.T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?Already answered, but I’ll add a few of my favorites for DCAU TimSteph:1) Tim cuts his own hair after RotJ (or rather just lets it grow long) since he doesn’t trust anyone else with sharp objects around him. Steph is the first person he allows to trim his hair for him (even though she has no experience with it either), since I imagine him feeling comfortable enough around her that he even falls asleep like Sousuke does with Chidori in Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid. (For context, he was raised as a soldier from an early age and this is what happened when they tried to take him to a salon. Played for laughs, but probably an accurate portrayal of people suffering from anxiety/PTSD having to deal with mundane tasks that trigger them.)
2) Similarly, Steph plays piano to help calm Tim down whenever he’s having a panic attack.3) After RotJ Tim refuses to wear red for a long time until Steph knits him a red scarf and tells him it “suits him” bc red is the color of heroes.
As an aside, I also recently like the idea that Logan was at Lex’s party in the DCEU and saw Bruce and Diana together, based on this playlist that I made. U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.Gonna talk about a few I don’t mention too often nowadays.
1) Link from The Legend of ZeldaLink will forever be my greatest true love. He’s the first real “hero” I believed in, and he honestly changed my life at one point to actually want to be a better person. While that faith has faded and I don’t think I can ever reach his example, I still wish I had that kind of courage and kindness - or at least be able to inspire others in the same way he did me.2) Meroko Yui from Full Moon wo SagashiteIf Link was the first (and only) person I ever truly fell in love with, Meroko was the one who taught me what “true love” was in the first place. I won’t say too much since I still sincerely hope you will check out the series someday, but suffice to say there’s a scene towards the end where she makes a choice that shows how much she has personally grown, and come to understand what it really means to “love” someone wholeheartedly.
3) Gary Oak from PokémonThis is a bit of an odd one, but Gary is a character I related to a lot when I was an adolescent since, of the main series cast, he was the first and one of few to really change his “status quo” by quitting training and deciding to become a researcher instead. In my eyes it seemed like a shockingly conscious choice to “grow up” in a world where you can ostensibly remain a “child” forever, and I both admired and deplored him for it (especially at that tender transitory age I was going through at the time, where it feels like you’re being forced to “become an adult” whether you want to or not).
V - Which character do you relate to most?Already answered.W - A trope which you are virtually certain to hate in any fandom.Romance in general is really not my thing, so I dislike when it’s the focus/the writers feel the need to pair every character. I’d rather leave things open-ended most of the time.X - A trope which you are almost certain to love in any fandom.Family/friendship stories + tragic adopted children wanting to be heroesY - What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)?X-Men, Kingdom Hearts, Dangan Ronpa, Fate/Stay Night, Various Magical Girl series, Various RPG Horror games
Z - Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go! (Prompts optional but encouraged.)I feel like I’ve rambled enough already phew. OTL Thanks for asking though. =P

just yesterday I finished up Danganronpa V3 and here are my thoughts and mini-review on it?? mostly messy thoughts
there’s gonna be a huge spoiler section but it’s the last section
STARTING OFF!! I did not expect to enjoy the game as much as I had. I have known some big spoilers ahead of time (survivor list, mastermind, parts of true ending) but surprisingly it all worked out well and I still got shook at few chapters and was losing my mind.
Overall, the game was very solid. The gameplay was fun, the aesthetics on point, the group dynamics between characters felt solid, I absolutely loved the humor and had outbursts of laughter quite a number of times. Post-ending the game unlocks the freetime mode (and dating) for characters in peaceful setting like previous games, as well as a RPG-board training game (train characters to use in the actual dungeon mode??? wild). There is also a casino which frustrates me but minigames are fun.
The ending of the game was,,,, neutral to me. I saw it coming since I knew some spoilers but it was kind of fun and very meta for an ending? However, it felt a bit dragging out and it undermined a lot of things that the game was establishing. So I dunno, it was kind of fun, but at the same time it left a very sour mood for me after, but it was alright.
The trials were actually very fun, even with knowing some spoilers, pretty much all trials had very intense moments and I found myself very drained emotionally by the end.
Music in this game: b-a-n-a-n-a-s. favorite tracks: Darkness Time, Hangman’s Gambit ver. 3.0 , new A.A. (not actually ingame but i love it) , Exisal Tribe, Heartless Journey (wrecks me) , Scrum Debate , Let’s Start the Killing Game , Trial Underground (a classic)
Overall as mentioned, I had a lot of fun with the game, and a lot of moments have stuck with me. Some parts made me an emotional mess, loved that. I would give this game a solid 8/10, could have been 9 if not for the ending and some various minor nitpicks.
SPOILER SECTION BEGINS HERE
Honestly this whole thing is one big ramble so I am not even going to bother being too formal or try to be an analyst of the game.
Here are my thoughts on the characters:
Kaede (pianist): Died too soon, but was a good natured character that I initially was upset with when she was killed off in chapter 1 (I really wanted her to continue being the protagonist), however I feel like the way things went was fine.
Shuichi (detective): LOVE HIM!!!! As mentioned, I was upset at first about the protagonist switch from the spoilers I knew, but actually going through the first trial I really liked Shuichi’s progression from being timid to leading the trials to push for the truth. His character arc of averting from the truth because of blame and guilt that he has made me rly emotional. Shuichi’s group dynamic with Kaito and Maki really made me cry because man, it was amazing to see them interact and progress together. at some parts Shuichi felt same as Makoto/Hinata from previous games, which was kinda sad that the game had to go with “meek ordinary protagonist” trope again but shuichi’s design was very nice and his exploration of character was too
Kaito (astronaut): My initial impression? Thought he was meh. But after chapter 1, him making Shuichi his “sidekick” and him being the “hero” (despite not being the protagonist) was pretty cool and it build a really good group dynamic later when Maki joins him. thank you kaito for making my v3 experience emotional and good
Maki (child-care? assassin?): LOVE HER. her progression was really nice too. In chapter 2 she was very cold but past that she joins the group with Shuichi and Kaito and it was just very nice overall to see their dynamic together.
Kokichi (supreme leader) OH BOY. Mostly like his character, but also deeply hate him. he always lies and is most distrusted character, i nicknamed him komaeda jr. in chapter 4 but nothing prepared me for chapter 5. near his death, his true character reveal actually gave me some sympathy towards him so he is now the Problematic Fave in this fandom probably rn.
Himiko (magician): Love her!!! she was cute and later in the game she got her character more developed and I liked her better than her initial super lazy attitude.
Rantaro (??? / survivor): Cool guy, love his design! died too soon, but yeah his actual talent would have had made things much different if he had lived past chapter 1. he was a cool mystery that fueled some of the story parts, and that was pretty enjoyable.
Keebo (robot): he was good!! i wished near the ending it would have explored his character slightly better but w/e.
Angie (artist): unfortunately I really hated her... like she wasn’t bad and I was really shocked when she died (my spoiler memory was wrong and I thought she was a killer) but ch3 cult ideology was really freaking me out so i was ... glad that she died in that chapter....
Gonta (bug explorer..?): too pure for this world. honestly I did not really care much for him (the localization of his speech tone didnt help either) but I really cried during chapter 4 with the way things turned out...
im honestly running out of thoughts basically uh rest of the characters I was pretty neutral on! nothing to say much about the rest, they were pretty cool but died so not much impression on me
oh yeah Monokuma is still my fave mascot
Monokubs were fun
CHAPTER TRIALS IMPRESSIONS
Ch1: I knew full spoilers on this chapter (the outcome and what happens) but it was still pretty good chapter because I did not know much on Shuichi’s development so it was really nice too see! I was really sad though
Ch2: Once again I knew spoilers on it, but knowing Ryoma had no will to live and that Kirumi had weighed the lives of the students vs. the whole country she had to escape, I thought it was really nice gray morality moment.
Ch3: honestly? While it had made some character progression for Himiko, otherwise I felt like Kiyo’s reasoning and the way things happened just,,, it sucked.
Ch4: Kind of knew about it too, but the way things played out and Kokichi’s antagonistic-komaeda-mode kicking in, the chapter wrecked me. I felt extremely bad for Gonta and just overall,, i died... THE EXECUTION WAS SO BRUTAL. mostly bc of that wasp but i was screaming in horror pretty much
Ch5: Died here again, I knew that Kaito and Kokichi were fully involved in the case (since I knew ch6 survivor list) but from vague spoilers I knew I assumed Kaito was murdered by Kokichi. Then the whole investigation happens and my mind was blown away. My favorite case out of all games. I was doubting myself left and right during the whole trial. The outcome and execution has made me really emotional and I dont think Im ever forgetting this chapter. highlight of the game for me.
Ch6. I knew about the final plottwist of FICTION but seeing it unravel was pretty neat because I did not know about revisiting the ch1 case. Overall the trial dragged a bit for too long, but when the POV switched to Keebo trying to convince to pick Hope instead of Despair and THEN shuichi jumping in to refuse BOTH options was really damn neat. I both liked and disliked this trial.
TRIAL MINIGAMES(?): rankings: Hangman’s Gambit (actually fun in this game!) > Scrum Debate > Mind Mine >> Perjury Section (quite underused tbh) > Mass Panic Debate > Sword Rebuttal >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Psyche taxi (honestly this one was a bit time waster...)
Overall thoughts on themes and stuff: I thought it was pretty neat how the theme of the game was Truth/Lies (and then Real/Fiction at the end), There were a lot of foils (Kaito vs. Kokichi) and exploration of that theme which I really enjoyed. Shuchi’s progression and his relationship with Kaito and Maki was the highlight of the game for me, somehow V3 felt much more “closer” in terms of character interaction and relationships with relation to the protagonist that I feel like the previous 2 main games somewhat lacked. Also I think it was cool that they made Shuichi, an Ultimate Detective, as protagonist. Finally the player plays as the “smart” student that can figure out the case - though at times I got lost with the evidence and felt dumb
anyway at this point I am most likely gonna just keep repeating same or similar thoughts so to wrap this up - I liked this game wayy more than I expected
random thought: this game features “themes” for the ingame menu. i did not know you could purchase more at the casino and i was MAD bc i was looking for those since im a sucker for customization. best theme for the menu??? the one you get when you pass the dating mode w/ 1 character
shoutout to the space aesthetic i love it (also that shuichi, maki, kaito pixel trio in the rocket)

all prime numbers for the rper meme!!
02. your least favorite face claims
2016 me tried to stay away from hating fcs .. but this yr is different so c*mila c, d*lan ob, j*stin b, h*lland r, j*nnifer l, s*lena g ( i just want her to be played better rip ), the whole tvd cast except for a few tbh.
03. face claims that you are dying to use
amanda arcuri, cindy kimberly, hailey baldwin, im jinah, nicola peltz & santiago segura.
05. your favorite original-verse oc (or one of your favorites)
i have like seven faves so .. hopefully i won’t regret picking her rip. but okaY roxanne carter, 20 and an actress straight from la is the best friend of the main character in a horror show called endure that’s been running for two seasons ( the third being filmed rn ), i’ve had her for exactly a year now and she was my first group rp muse so she holds a special place in my cold scorpio heart anyway but also ?? she started off as this mean girl in a pairs rp ( lol @ my choices ) but then i had her in three other rps and right after i changed her fc from kendall j to hailey b she became different like ?? i have a thing for all my three hailey fcs being kinda innocent at a point for whatever reason and she became so caring bc a good friend of hers almost died thanks to overdosing and she tried to pull them back into life but failed bc they didn’t want saving and then in this one rp i’ll get to in #11 i had this amazing ship ( i’m normally not for ships unless it’s a 1x1 ) and the other muse was someone who took drugs and they were exes who had lingering feelings and roxy cared sm about her it hurts omfg .. but alright she was so flustered around the other girl and it was the same the other way round and roxy just was so different around her and i’ll stop right here bc rox had a gf at that time and i decided it’d fit better if she was poly later on so sorry for rambling sm lmao. but i love rox a whole lot so i’ll get back to her personality, while she cares so deeply about those around her, she’s also someone who wouldn’t miss a great party and would def be one of those girls to dance on the bar counter just to show her not so horrible dancing skills tbh, also i see her as this memey kinda person who has almost 1k memes saved on her rosegold iphone 7 with 128gb just for enough photo storage and being able to send those to ppl in one of her group chats to cheer them up or just annoy tf out of them.
this is already long af so the rest is under a read more with probably 720938 grammatical errors.
07. your favorite oc who isn’t yours (or one of your favorites)
this is soo so bad to say but .. i have a bad memory when it comes to muses most of the time especially when it’s not my own and while i love every muse of @evasmchns we haven’t rped in a loong time and i’d also feel uncomfortable talking about a muse that isn’t my own when the mun and i don’t even talk.
11. an rpg that meant a lot to you
the first that comes to mind is def comichq bc i spent like one month there from start to finish back in january/february and while my writing back then was Absolutly horribe ( i still have the muse blog up bc i’m sentimental regarding that rip ) i honestly loved writing with everyone back then ( that sounds like i hate writing now and ignore ppl .. i’m bad with words rn that’s all lmao ) and i also had the chance to play two of my fave canon muses so that was def an added bonus. aside from that solarhq was also imp to me bc i had that ship i talked about in #05 and while i truly never am a fan of current romantic ships ( give me all the platonic ships tho ) it was really easy there, like the mun ( we’re mutuals but don’t talk anymore so it’d be weird calling her by her name ) and talked ic and ooc a lot and the plot was beautiful imo .. also her muse whose name i totally recall as well but also .. weird place, had this best friend and her and rox had this intense af convo via messages which i’ve never had before and everyone was just soo involved in that ship in a way which i also never had ever again and also why i don’t really like 1x1s bc i love every muse being involved in stuff and i kinda lost trail here rip. also there were great platonic ships in the rp as well, also that rp was the only one where i really wrote serious paras and found joy in them as i tend to be a lazy writer but still doing the best ( i hope aksjd ). also i still have this muse blog up as well and i actually read 40% of the threads last night and got #emo rip meme. and also shoutout @ anyone who might see the thing in common for both these rps.
13. an rpg that you’d like to create
i have three created rps and two never hit the tags so i’d def say those but out of them probably my oc celeb one bc i just love good celeb rps as a good amount of my muses are in that business and i just love creating backstories for them and seeing others do the same. or one of the unopened ones aka a rp inspired by the black tapes and 90/00s kids shows turned mature with a htgawm twist .. it’s been like nine months since i’ve created that one and i still check the main every month whoops.
17. your favorite rp family relationship
ngl i never even created one of these muses but .. charlotte d’alessio & nick robinson as twins and and santiago segura as their stepsibling, i’ve had jordan ( char ) and javier ( santiago ) for a bit now and played with the thought but aside from jordan they never fit into any rp but i can totally see jor and javi be these cruel intentions inspired step-siblings and the nick fc just being outside of it all and side eyeing them So hard and maybe even giving them a hard time sabotaging them while they try to play the other one out like .. that’d be messy af.
19. your favorite non-playable character
99.9% roxy’s gf. i actually have a muse kinda like her but left her as a npc in the rps i was able to have that storyline, she just has such an impact on rox bc she doesn’t want to be considered a cheater ( rox actually tried to get a cheater on the show fired lmao the irony ), but this also only counts before i changed roxy from a monogamist to a polyamorist bc she just wasn’t cut out to live like that, and i’ve had sm different versions of this verse it’s even confusing me so i’ll just stop here ..
23. a real-world setting that you’d like to use as the setting of a plot
as if i hadn’t talked about the chicago shows enough already .. but okay i’d love to use the chicago police or even fire department one just bc i have sm muse to play a paramedic muse who has a hectic work life and maybe even in their private life and ppl around them that get them ?? or #tb to spoopyroad where ppl drive all over canada to visit allegedly haunted places.
#maren1x1#answered#answered ask memes#this .. took me an actual hr and i feel dead now omfg#drugs //#javier velasco.#jordan abbott.#roxanne carter.

OH god this is so chaotic, THEM-
I first played IB when I was around 12 or so (pretty healthy for a kid if you'd ask me) and it instantly became my favourite game ever.
Although I did lost it for some years, when I played it again last year, all the same emotions and feelings and reactions I had during my first playthrough just repeated.
This game holds such a special place in my heart.
