Se'eit page featuring N'rithe and a very tiny Rak'ne.
Se'eit was a prophetess that operated in Cetanu temple's area (The Naghe-tih put all three of their deities inside one temple).
She was known for her ability to see fragments of the future with her readings and to have a special attachment to Cetanu. She often presided funerary rites of the Naghe-tih clan. Her headpiece is the symbol of her rank as prophetess and it's composed by amber, pearls, leather and Ra-taro tusks.
Se'eit was the very first yautja to tame the Erylia, a type of "bird" that lives in the rivers next to the Naghe-tih clan, known to be wary but voracious animals that hunts in group. She often spent her time in comfortable solitude, taking care of the flock. She sew her outfits to allow the Erylia to hang on her body without harming her hair.
She met N'rithe during one of the festivals for Cetanu and it was love at first sight for them both.
After two years and a lot of talking, they decided to start a family of their own: Se'eit loved her daughter Rak'ne with all her heart, gifting her daughter skulls of her hunts and telling tales of their hunter ancestors and gods.
She died pierced by a Kiandhe amenda queen, taking the hit for N'rithe.
Rak'ne was young when Se'eit died, but she still remembers well her face or voice after finding some tapes and messages that Se'eit left for her, before her death.
As if Se'eit knew she was going to die during that hunt.

Some anatomy practice to get used to the new board.
I don't use Hoarfrost much but decided to make him into a retired elder that takes small hunting jobs to not get out of shape.
As for Hu'nri'a, I decided to add a tiny tail and back spines since she is a sea yautja from the Coh'urall clan, but they are tinier from how they are supposed to be.
Ha'rcar has a more developed tail and brighter, larger back spines since he spent more time in the water.

Cirrina and Rak'ne, protagonists of one of my stories! I've posted these two before but I thought it was time to redraw them and update their designs a little bit.

(For better quality, click on the images)
It includes their casual clothing, armor, height comparison with the Ra-taro/human and crew's scars map.
Later on I'll link more informations regarding the crew.
Ask Box is now also open.
(version without clothes below the cut, valka is the only one that needed to be censored in a way. I also did a quick thing on how hu'nri'a or their armors look like at night)

"What makes you think I'm in love with the ooman? I'm just paying back my debt" Rak'ne turned slightly to face the green hunter.
Kajiy raised an eyebrow, looking at his captain: she was gently holding Valka on her laps, as Rak'ne let out soft soothing purrs.
The human ended up drifting into a deep sleep while Rak'ne operated the ship and was showing her the planets on the map. The captain didn't have the heart to wake her up and allowed her to rest, making sure her head was supported by one of her arms, holding the human body close to her chest.
"Does that include having the ooman all over yourself like a clingy creature?"
"...a debt can be paid in different ways Kajiy."

Th'yra, Rak'ne ex-girlfriend (now close friend) and one of the many artists of the clan.
She has a small tattoo shop (she enjoys using hunters' bodies as her canvas), but she also decorates spikes, quills, and hair.
There is not a day where she doesn't cover herself in colors. Her Ra-taro, Ki-thra, is known to be the most decorated one in the Naghe-tih clan.
She can be a very loyal friend, a bit too quick to speak her mind, so she comes off as harsh sometimes, but she is always ready to recognize her mistakes and improve as a being. She is very patient and passionate about her hobby. She holds small art classes to help rehabilitated bad bloods to express their emotions and possibly find a new hobby.
Her trophy room is peculiar: instead of skulls, there are pieces she commissioned other artists to do for her (from Yautja, human or other species) and pretty things she found in her travels.
Those are her trophies.
She is not a hunter, she kills only to provide herself with food or materials for piercings and tattoos.
She loves humans; she thinks their soft skin is perfect for tattoos, body paint and piercings (She would totally listen to Lady Gaga if humans ever introduced her music to Th'yra).
Rak'ne and Th'yra started their relationship in their 20s, they met while Rak'ne was celebrating for a succesful bad blood hunt and Th'yra was tasked with decorating the huntress' body for the celebration.
They broke up in good terms (they just had different views regarding a long-lasting relationship) and are now good friends. Rak'ne often goes to Th'yra for advice.
Th'yra is happily single at the moment and fully busy with her tattoo business.
She adores Valka, Th'yra is glad Rak'ne found someone that take care of her. She is already planning some tattoos for the human.

I'm writing this while sleep deprived, so I apologize for any error, but
So yautja have no lips. They show emotions in other ways such sounds and body language.
This made me think that perhaps they don't have exactly the human concept of smiling.
And maybe, like some animals, seeing a human smile would be seen as a display of aggression for them since yautja show their inner fangs before attacking or as a challenge.
Now I'm imagining Valka smiling for the first time around Rak'ne (who had little to no knowledge about humans when they first met).
Rak'ne immediately gets confused because she thought they were starting to finally get along. She even starts purring and backing slowly away to not trigger Valka more.
She doesn't want to harm her new human friend, not even for a silly challenge. A single hit, and Rak'ne would risk to kill the human she loves so much.
So Rak'ne tries to understand what turned Valka aggressive. Only for Valka to start chuckling at the yautja's worry and confusion regarding her expression.
Her smile keeps growing, and her teeth show up more...which for Rak'ne doesn't make any sense: she recognizes the laugh sound, but why is her friend still baring her teeth? Is she finally snapping from all the stress? Did the harsh environment of the jungle drive her mad?
They would end up talking about human behavior and what a smile is, while they are around the campfire.
Rak'ne every now and then still feels embarrassed for how she reacted at the time due to her ignorance.
Valka finds it cute how the yautja blushes at the memory and teases Rak'ne about it when it's just the two of them.
Despite that, it became a sweet memory for both, especially after they started a romantic relationship.
Truth be told, Rak'ne allows the teasing because it makes Valka smile and laugh.
And the yautja doesn't want to miss that beautiful sight and sound, cherishing each happy expression of Valka as the most precious of the trophies.
I might include this concept or this scenario in my story later on.

A little thought of mine is: a yautja that hunts less than others or doesn't hunt at all, they can afford to decorate more their masks, this applies to elders as well.
- Hu'nri'a hunts only if the crew need more food or help or for self defence, otherwise she stays in her lab, so her mask is more detailed.
- To Rak'ne suggestions, after their relationship grew stronger, Valka and her have a matching piece, Valka tried also to mimick some of the patterns of the leader's mask on hers.
- The Naghe-tih clan, for their masks, follows mainly patterns and shape of reptilian creatures of all kind and planets.
Rak'ne is mainly inspired by crocodiles, Lancia by geckos, Kajiy by snakes.
Since Valka comes from Earth and Hu'nri'a was taken in from another clan, they have different patterns compared to those three.
- Valka personalized it in shape of an earth animal, a big feline.
- Hu'nri'a still has some memories regarding her original clan and wanted to have something that reminded her of the sea.
- Ha'rcar is a full time hunter, he made sure to use a pattern that could camouflage into deep waters, heavily inspired by orcas.

Another random post about yautja ocs.
Some songs that I associate with my ocs couples.
Rak'ne/Valka: Work Song (Hozier) / Sailor Song (Gigi Perez)
Eliana/Ha'rcar: Something Stupid (Frank Sinatra) / As the world caves in (Matt Maltese)
N'rithe/Se'eit: The Night We Met (Lord Huron)/ Do I wanna know? (Hozier) / Francis Forever (Mitski) (honestly for these two, I have so many songs to fit the angst, but I put the first three songs I could think of)
Kajiy/D'unar-i: Valentine (Laufey) /Love me like you (Rebecca Sugar)
Lancia/Veduri: Casual (Chapell Roan) / Ma Meilleure Ennemie (Stromae, Pomme)

Started as a body study with my yautja oc, but then I felt like working more on Rak'ne’s different accessories as well.
And Valka finds her gorgeous in all ways.

Rak'ne and Valka were in their room, cuddling as Rak'ne was showing some pictures and videos from when she was younger.
"And this is me and my mother after I completed my Blood Hunt. By your human standards, I think I was nineteen." The captain tilted the screen towards Valka.
The photo depicted Rak'ne as she was holding the bloody head of an alien animal in her hands. Her expression was euphoric, her eyes bright with happiness.
Next to Rak'ne there was another yautja, her mother. She was higher and covered with more scars compared to her daughter, but she had a kind and prideful look. Her grip on Rak'ne's shoulder looked gentle, reassuring.
Though what Valka noticed was the way Rak'ne's body was built: she was leaner than her present version, yet in the picture she was covered with thick muscles already, her arms' bracelets almost digging in the skin as they were tensed for holding the head.
"Rak'ne dear....how is that possible? you are shaped like a bodybuilder in this photo and you said you were just nineteen??"
Rak'ne let out a chuckle, wrapping her arms around Valka's stomach. "Well, yes, the Blood Hunt in my clan happens around that age, and we are demanded to be in a strong shape for it"
Valka was still baffled, zooming the picture to look better at the yautja. "What the hell do they feed you back on your planet? steroids and steel?"
"You behave as if you weren't like this as well." The yautja let out an amused purr, her tusks tapping on the human's cheek.
"I was not!" Valka snickered, looking at Rak'ne. "At nineteen, I was barely starting working out. I would have looked like a dry twig compared to you"
Now it was the turn of Rak'ne to be confused. "You weren't?"
Valka laughed, holding the yautja's hands. "I'm sorry to break it to you Red, but humans don't have Blood Hunts, and most of us at nineteen are not built like bodybuilder."
Rak'ne let out a huff, resting her chin on Valka's head. An annoyed growl followed as she closed her eyes.
"Once we are back on my planet, I'll try to find some books about humans, I can't keep being this naive about you"
The human chuckled, kissing her red knuckles. "We are even this way, I am still learning about your species, and you are learning about mine"
"Like when you touched that bad blood's hair?" Rak'ne opened her eyes with a mischievous expression.
Valka groaned at the memory, hiding her face in her own hands, embarrassment making her ears turn pink.
"I didn't know touching yautja hair was seen as initiating mating! Akrei helped me and, in return, I tried to get his hair cleaned from the mud and branches...he got in that mess because of me"
Valka frowned as Rak'ne clicked her tusks with growing amusement.
"You gave him an existential crisis, I never seen a yautja change color that fast" Rak'ne chuckled. "His heartbeat was faster than a Kiande Amedha on the run"
"To be fair, you did look like you were about to tear his spine out with your eyes." The human chuckled, nuzzling her face under the yautja's chin.
"And I was about to, if he tried any move on you." Rak'ne purred, her tongue slithered out to give a soft 'kiss' on Valka's cheek.

Naghe-tih clan has training sessions or games that involve Ra-taro riding and learning how to fall without too much damage.
This involves the Ra-taro bucking off the rider or putting the yautja through harsh riding situations.
For training sessions, young yautja are taught to use their legs' strength and balance to not get thrown off by the Ra-taro.
They learn to stay on top of the animal no matter the hunting conditions. They are also taught to prioritize the safety of the Ra-taro over their well-being, when possible.
Especially wannabe trainers have the duty to practice regularly this training, they will be the one riding and handling the Ra-taro more than other hunters.
As for the games adult yautja (even elders) attend to, it is seen as a way to prove their skills and hunter worth.
They are also used to impress other male or female hunters, especially when mating season is closer.
One of the main events is bareback riding.
Unlike young yautja, who train with a small saddle, the adults will ride the Ra-taro with no support at all during the bucking game.
The Ra-taro is not forced to do this. They actually perceive it as a game: they get many treats and praises if they manage to buck off the rider. Their pups also learn how to play without harming their yautja owner by watching them.
The Ra-taro have rough ways to play, which involves lots of biting and ramming against the other, so this is actually a tame activity for them.
The assigned handler will make a specific sound to give the animal the cue to start bucking.
The Ra-taro that manages to throw off as many yautja as possible is celebrated in an honorary way at the end of the games.
The Ra-taro are super spoiled before and after the games, with handlers making sure the animal is well.
The slightest sign of fatigue or distress and the Ra-taro is taken back to their resting spot.
Yautja from other clans are welcome to take part in these games. The Naghe-tih are proud of their Ra-taro and don't mind involving wandering traders or hunters in their social and cultural life.
It's often used as a way to establish trades or alliances between clans.
These games always end up crossing the celebrations that the Naghe-tih clan makes for the goddess Paya.
Once the riders that won the contests are rewarded and congratulated by the other participants, a long feast starts: food and music fill the jungle for four days and four nights.
Even the Ra-taro are dressed up for the occasions, with harnesses and saddles full of intricate decorations and drawings. They get all the delicious meals, and their skin is painted by the priests and acolytes of the temple.
Dhe-hak and Lancia often participate in these games with good results: Dhe-hak manages to court plenty of potential mates during these events, while Lancia is more focused on having fun and improving his skills.
N'rithe used to be a champion during these games, yet now she doesn't take part in it anymore.
She mainly organizes everything as the matriarch in charge and remains in the quiet of her home with her Ra-taro, watching the riders and the rest of the clan having fun from afar.
