So, uh I came along these tweets.

Ghost Fight/Dummy and Spider Dance have the same motifs despite Napstablook, Mad Dummy, and Muffet having no connection. Almost like it's a miniboss theme of sorts. Napstablook is a melancholic and apathetic (I think?) ghost with a blankish expression that you first find in the Ruins, Muffet sets up a shop of her own and uses the Purple SOUL mode. The Flower King/flower shop Dark World in my take is a Ruins parallel.

My name is Bailey Fouraker, and this is the official page for my novel Cast Your Stones!

Cast Your Stones is a queer coming-of-age literary novel set in rural West Virginia, circa 1985. While I have a few published works through Amazon and several unpublished manuscripts, I have big plans for CYS; I want this one to be my first traditionally published book.

It took me three months to churn out my first 100,000-word draft of this project, and I’ve been working on edits for the last couple of weeks. I truly believe in this story and its characters, and I’m excited to see where it goes from here in the world of traditional publishing. Below I have links for the Spotify playlist and my Pinterest board for the novel.

As a literary novel, the plot of this story revolves around the characters. I’ve fallen in love with (almost) every single one, from my protagonist Rainie, the tough, scrappy country boy who loves his Momma, to Elijah, the sweet and gentle son of the town’s Pentecostal preacher, to Briggs, the chain-smoking, gun-toting, foul-mouthed crazy old trapper. It’s a tender love story about a clandestine teenage romance that has all the odds stacked against it. It’s about the deconstruction of gender roles, religion, and most importantly, the first-glance judgements we cast on others—because there is always more than what meets the eye.

Just like Rainie, this story is equal parts heart and grit. I can’t wait to witness this novel’s journey as it unfolds! <3
