In the arranged marriage AU, what did Hades and Persephone do when they found out how horrible Minos was to Nico? His parents seem to really care about him, so it seems like they wouldn’t have just ignored it.
hmmm hmmmm hmmmmmmmmmmm……how should I answer this….
The next part of am au that I plan to write will answer a lot of questions about what happened during and immediately after Nico’s time with Minos.
I suppose I should get to planning that whenever I need a break from the clichecore au.

You had asked for anniversary ideas. It’s always to revisit something happy for an anniversary. They could go back to the Privilla, go riding (but not hunting!), dance to some music just for them, have a picnic. Nico could help Will look for interesting plants. I don’t think they’d want to go to the opera this time. Things have been pretty stressful, and it seems like they need some time to reconnect romantically. Few people, few tasks, and outdoors are all good for that. Thanks!
Sure sure, I like the idea of them reminiscing! I think I’m going to go with them look at their old letters because I like the additional meaning with paper being the gift for a first anniversary. Also they are going to go back to the Privilla soon...not for their anniversary though. I’m excited for you guys to find out what happens there!

If Lee and Michael have to die, can Nico and Will at least have some nice things happen to them? I’ve grown to care so much about these characters. It’s hard when lots of bad things happen to them.
Of course good things happen to them! Like....uh....
Crap. There must be some good things that happen.
....
OH! I thought of one. It’s preceded by a bad thing but then it’s ok and a good thing happens!
Honestly there are a lot of small things that maybe I don’t characterize as “good” because compared to the 3-4 really bad things that happen they seem unimportant individually. But they do add up!

There are lots of schools for consors and sorors outside Venadica, but schools aren’t meant to generate income. Will’s going to be more conserned with getting consors and sorors out of Venadica and schools to be healers and teachers for people all over Pluto because he’s going to start realizing that there’s a big problem with dissemination of information and a lack of application of theory. Venadi (sorors and consors) tend to hole themselves up in their little academic circles, which leads to them being a) pretentious or b) out of touch with the community
Inventions do get exported, but inventions need to be sponsored by wealthy people, who are getting increasingly out of touch with Venadi in Pluto (I mean look at how dumb Nico is he doesn’t even know what a cell is), also, going back to my previous point, Venadi tend to make a lot of theoretical inventions rather than ones that can be applied to actual real world problems (eg, they’ve started working on a steam engine but it doesn’t do anything aside from generate energy)...Venadi pursue knowledge, not necessarily ways to help the community (although they do work on more applied inventions too, like when Leo and Will invented a wheelchair that can be propelled by the user). Also Venadi aren’t meant to pursue profits. That’s kind of against their code.
The cows are more meant to benefit the local economy by providing jobs and food for Divitians. But maybe exports are a possibility. When did pasteurization come about? (Nvm I just looked it up. That wasn’t until the 1880s so I don’t think I can get away with putting it in the au. I’ll check out some other ideas.)
Pluto’s major source of income has always been mining (because Hades/Pluto is lord of the underworld and associated with riches). Different regions are known for mining different materials (eg, Angelus is known for gold, Vulcan for coal, Trivia for various crystals). People inside Pluto aren’t buying diamonds and stuff right now but it’s a pretty lucrative businesses for exports. But there’s a huge problem with the poor treatment of labor which is contributing to the continuation of poverty among Plutons, so that’s something Will’s going to work on. Pluto had a thriving economy before the pandemic so I think it’s more a matter of restoring it and fixing what’s broken. But also I don’t know much about economics so.
((Also we’re getting close to Nico finally cracking))
