Holiday SAS Headcanons
You guys seem to enjoy these, and I'm enjoying writing them! These are gifts that I think the members of SAS would get their SO and how they would treat their SO in cold weather (warming them up, what food they'd make them, e.t.c.)
Mute - Mute would surprise you with a thoughtful gift...days before Christmas. He wouldn't admit it was because he was impatient and excited to see what you thought of it. He would also be the last one to want to help decorate. He enjoys the holidays, but doesn't really have the ambition to spend time hanging lights and whatnot. He might help you put ornaments on the tree if you give him the puppy dog look that melts his heart every time. If you begged him, he would be inclined to go to your best friend's ugly Christmas sweater party. As long as he puts a smile on your face, he's down for anything at the end of the day.
When it's cold out, Mute will love spending time curled up watching TV with you. As a bit of a history buff, he would enjoy seeing some of the local sights while covered in snow. Surprisingly he is oddly really good at making snowpeople, and you don't judge him for the five he built in the yard after a big snow storm. He even puts little scarves and hats on them.
Smoke - He is always going to make sure you are spoiled. He's the kind of guy to give you love coupons for Christmas and actually follow through with the items on said coupons, particularly the ones that are hands on. He would love to see you and his daughter getting along on Christmas morning, and the look on both of your faces when he surprises you both with your very thoughtful gifts. He also has a cookie recipe that honestly yields the best cookies you've ever tasted, and would love nothing more than for you to decorate them with him.
He really likes going to do things as a family with the two of you. It doesn't matter if it's ice skating, sledding, or just walking downtown and sipping hot cocoa. Of course he would be down for some really cozy cuddling on the couch. His favorite pass time would be silently laying on the couch with your head on his chest while you admire the tree you decorated all together. He wouldn't even complain in the morning when he woke up and his back hurt because you both fell asleep on the couch.
Sledge - Sledge is going to lose his mind trying to figure out what to get you. He would be stressing last minute because his mother will have him second guessing every gift he bought you, despite deep down him knowing that he got you something you will probably like. He prefers Christmas morning to be just the two of you, but will be happy to visit respective families after your personal festivities are done. He's also the type to propose on Christmas morning. You could literally buy him anything and he would be thrilled.
Sledge really likes shoveling, for no good reason other than it's good exercise, and he loves his shovel. He refuses to buy a snowblower even when you tell him he should. He made his own shovel, it looks oddly familiar...Caber 2.0? He will also insist on snowball fighting with you outside after every snow storm, and then he will make it a full time job to warm you up when you lose and your body is nearly frozen and drowned under snowballs that he pelted you with.
Thatcher - He knows how to spoil his SO to the moon and back. Whatever you like, there will be lots of it under the tree. He will also remember one jewelry store you said you liked four years ago and he will continue buying you a new piece of jewelry from that store for every occasion, even if you don't care for the store anymore. You just don' t have the heart to tell him to stop when you see how happy he is to give you the gift. He actually, surprisingly, has a thing for Christmas crafts. He will enjoy working on them together and using them to decorate rather than going to the store to buy decorations.
Thatcher won't admit it, but he loves peppermint hot cocoa and you smirk when you see empty cups in the trash can from his little secret. He will make sure your car is always cleaned off and that there's always a fire in the fireplace on exceptionally cold evenings. While not particularly fond of tech, he secretly appreciates the smart home thermostat so that he doesn't have to get off the couch and stop cuddling with you in order to turn up the heat. Really big fan of classic Christmas movies.
Who should I do next? Christmas is right around the corner and I may not have time to do more beforehand, so maybe we can look at New Year's, or who cares, Christmas headcanons are fine with me any time of year honestly.

How the operators from Rainbow Six Siege die of laughter (head cannons) pt. 1
Featuring: SAS, GIGN, and the Spetsnaz
SAS
Mute:
Just a fit of giggles because he doesn't want to be loud, but eventually he will snort by accident and then he will go into a full rage of laughter to the point he is almost on the ground.
Sledge:
Classic dad laugh. You won't realize he is laughing until he is red in the face and is bouncing up and down from trying to contian his laughter. But will very quickly go into a full on wheezing and crying type of laughter. Has one of the most wholesome laughs you will hear.
Smoke:
He wont even start off giggling, he will burst out laughing before anything and will quickly escalate into tears and is laughing to the point all he can do is slam his hands on the table and move from side to side.
Thatcher:
Wont laugh until something else really funny happens after the joke, like someone snorting really loud, then will immediately go into a laughing fit. He is the type to toss himself around like he's on a roller coaster and hitting his hand on something, whether it's a person or a table. He tries his best not to laugh around his peers but everyone needs a good laugh.
GIGN
Lion:
Doesn't care about holding his laughter back, if something is funny, it's funny. He will probably add onto the joke but after breaking, he is on the floor holding his face laughing and when he starts laughing, it is close to impossible to get him to stop laughing. Even when you try to stop him, you will end up making him laugh even harder.
Rook:
He will probably try to settle everyone down before breaking himself. Doesnt "laugh" per se, he has the type of laugh that sounds more like gasping for air and he often wheezes while trying to regain control over his lungs.
Monty:
A lot like Rook but he chuckles and giggles more than anything, but at some point, he will break into a deep almost maniacal laugh and holds his temple with two fingers.
Doc:
He has a 50/50 type of laughter. He either has light giggles and can keep his composure, but if something really tickles his funny bone, he is on the floor flailing around like a fish out of water while kicking and screaming in thunderous laughter.
Twitch:
She has the type of Jenna Marbles laugh, to where she either has a very composed laugh or very high pitched laugh screaming type of laughter and she is attempting to speak but all you hear are high pitched mumbles.
Spetsnaz
In all honesty they are all the same when they laugh. They are the type to kick and slam stuff around, and normally one will try to walk away which will make the others laugh harder, but will also make the one who walked away laugh harder as well. And by the time they are all done laughing, they will not remember what they were laughing about at all. It is hard to get them all to giggle, let alone have a full on laughing fit. So to have them all together laughing so hard is a rare but wholesome sight.
Sorry for the long read! But we hope you enjoy our first head cannon post and trust me, there will be more soon!
Thank you for your time and have a good day or night where ever you are!

TW/CW:Yandere behavior, unhealthy behavior, unhealthy relationship, abusive behavior, abusive relationship, canon injuries, crossovers like Payday 2 & Rainbow six siege,Y/N works for both rainbow six siege and with the Payday gang,Y/N is named Boogie man with R6s while is named Wolf with the payday gang, male reader, getting shot at,being hit, being kicked, being tased, bombs, robbing banks,cussing,Y/N is dating Doc/Gustave,Y/N speaks Swedish,Y/N IS WOLF FROM PAYDAY GANG,Dilf reader/Reader has a daughter who is 4 years old, google translate
“WOLF! CAN YOU HEAR ME!?” Where were you? Who was yelling at you. Shaking your head you saw that it was Dallas. “Yeah! I’m okay!” “Good! Thought I almost lost you today, you still got a daughter to take care of!” “Let’s get to work!” He pulled you up as you went to get back to work which was robbing a bank as usual but this one was different they got rainbow six siege your other team. The payday gang knew you worked with rainbow six siege because they make fun of your name ‘Boogie Man’ but hey is it your fault that you can camouflage really well, track things down, and be as silent as a mouse when hunting something?
Chains was yelling at the saw so you went up and kicked them which fixed them. “HOW DO YOU ALWAYS FUCKING DO IT!?” “50/50 chance” “NAH THAT IS SOME BULL FUCKING SHIT! THAT AIN’T 50/50 CHANCE ITS AN 100 CHANCE WITH YOU!” You just chuckled as you left to go fend off the police. “KOM HIT DU LILLA TICK!!” You started shooting at the cloakers, medics, and tasers and oh so much more! Soon you saw a familiar person, your boyfriend Gustave. You sighed knowing he’s about to find out that his boyfriend is also a bank robber. “WOLF WE NEED YOU OVER HERE!” “ALRIGHT DALLAS IM ON MY WAY!” “Mon ange?”you looked at him but under your mask your face was sympathy and regret. “Hello min älskade” you saw Gustave’s face it was of shock and betrayal you couldn’t look at him anymore as you ran towards Dallas.
Gustave couldn’t believe it his boyfriend was a bank robber. No no Y/N wouldn’t do it willingly! Y/N must’ve been forced into this yes yes! That’s the answer his lover was forced to do this horrendous crime and he’s going to make sure that Y/N will be taken away into a safer place with just him. He started to chase you but as you knew him and also have been chased by a lot of people you knew how to get away. Slide under the table, throw down some book cases, jumping around, going through the police, and lastly climbing something you were good at. “GET IT WOLF! WE GOTTA BOUNCE!” “I KNOW FUCKER IM ON MY WAY! KINDA BEING CHASED!” You and the others ran to the car. As soon as you all got in you started to speed away.
Everyone was pissed off that they list the payday gang again! But Gustave was plotting something,he was plotting how to save his boyfriend from those fucking heathens of criminals. He’s going to save his boyfriend one way or another even if he has to take a life.

Do you do Belikov?
henlo fren!
I'm assuming you are asking if I would do head canons/writing for him? o: In which case, yes! i'm open to all cold war characters, i know them best, but i'm also open to others from the other games.
And if others would like to know, I also take requests for rainbow six siege, destiny 2, and dead by daylight (although I haven't done any content for dbd in a very long time).

RoR2 Q&A 12/2/17
Since we got a million asks, I’ll collapse all the answers periodically into one giant QA so it doesn’t ruin your tumblr feed. I tried to answer every question - if yours isnt there, someone else might’ve asked the same question. Expand below to read!
Q: Are you thinking about putting out a beta version to test or are you just waiting for the game to be fully released A: Not sure exactly how we want to do it – we HAVE to have some way of getting the game out to testers, especially for networking/matchmaking testing. It will most likely be some form of closed/limited beta, but we really haven’t though too much about it.
Q: Any ideas on what the system requirements could be? Will they be high or playable on most machines? Also will it work with integrated graphics? A: Most likely the game will be pretty light for GPU with our graphical style, but CPU intensive. What that actually translates to won’t be until the game is closer to launch, where we start optimizing.
Q: ROR1 most loved thing me and my friends liked to do is ruining the framerate with all the items that we had. we had lots of fun crashing the game for whoever hosted the game. might this still be able to happen? I'm looking forward to the release anyway and so are my friends especialy with peer to peer now we can connect better. A: Uhh hopefuly you won’t be able to crash the game, but the game will still scale infinitely like it did previously
Q: Could you make it so that when you use Unstable Watch and timestop, all colors in the game become inverted for the duration? And if you want to go all the way with a certain reference, have only Chef's cleavers stop in midair at the edge of a radius from an enemy, and when the timestop ends the cleavers hit at the same time. A: No memes
Q: Super excites for risk of rain 2. Im real glad i found it in a steam summer sale, bought then and after that bought it for my ps4. Are we going to see any new characters? (Bandit will always be fav so as long as hes good im happy) A: Yes, definitely new characters!
Q: can you make one of the new death messages be "HOST WHEN?" A: No memes!!!!
Q: While Vita's out of the question, what about the Switch, which basically seems to have slotted itself in the 'more powerful handheld device' niche? A: We’d obviously love to be on the switch, but that ultimately depends on A. can we optimize the game to run on the Switch, and B. do we have the technical know-how to actually get it running? Porting to consoles tends to be a much more dramatic change than people expect, even if the engine natively exports to it.
Q: Hi. I’ve been a fan of risk of rain for the past few years. I just want to ask: in risk of rain, some mechanics like heaven cracker can pierce a line of enemies and the huntress’ ability to hit and run. With the change from 2D to 3D environment, how will they work? There are many other abilities and mechanics that i also want to ask about, but these two were the first ones that i could remember immediately. A: We’re not going to bring back any mechanics that don’t fit just for the sake of continuity – however, the Heaven Cracker I can see being actually more fun in 3D since you have to actually align yourself with the enemies. Since everyone can shoot and run in the 3D version, Huntress’ niche is sorta gone, but we have some clever ideas to make that back
Q: In DevBlog #8 you explain some of the steam integration going into Risk of Rain 2 which will make a lot of people happy but will RoR2 also be available without steam for those who prefer? For example will I be able to buy it on GOG like I did RoR1, and play LAN games without steam? A: Right now we’re focusing on making it work via Steam P2P, but (I believe) that we haven’t done anything to explicity lock out connections via IP. You just won’t get the same Nat punchthrough benefits (I’ll have to ask Jeff, our network dude about it to make sure this is correct, but afaik I think that’s right)
Q: Would you guys happen to have an idea of when you think the game would be realeased? A: Nope! Hopefully not too long!
Q: Hello! I loved Risk of Rain 1 and it is great to play with friends. I have two questions (technically three, I'm cheating). 1. I am assuming you're going to release it on steam, so that said will there be steam multiplayer integration? Like... Invite via steam, games are created with the help of steam peer-to-peer. It was a pain to get 4 people playing on one server without port forwarding. 2. Will there be a better way to keep track of items? 3. Can you add a menu to see what items you have? A: Yes, steam invites and all that are the goal. I know we talked about holding TAB to expand the item menu so you could see more at once, but we haven’t actually done that yet. I know it was a bit silly for it to be uncropped and expanding off the screen.
Q: Is this still in development? A: No we’re just pretending
Q: Are you gonna have the same soundtrack from the first game? A different soundtrack? A mix of both? (Don't get rid of the Dried Lake or Sunken Tombs songs). A: That’ll ultimately be up to Chris, but I’m sure he’s in the same boat as us and doesn’t want to cover the same ground that we did previously.
Q: I was telling a friend how excited I was for this, and he expressed a concern I’d like to ask you guys about. He said that, being 3D, the game might end up either not as hectic as the first, or too hectic, what with the hoards coming from all around you. What’s your take on this? (I’m not actually too worried about it, but I still wanna hear your take on the matter.) A: Currently, we’re using SFX as a tool to present not only how close an enemy is, but what state they’re in and how many there are. Since I’ve also been playing the game for like a million hours I’ve also developed the ability to recognize which enemy by the frequency of their screenshake… but that won’t be relevant to most players. We’re really hoping to avoid radars or anything like that for awareness.
Q: Just wanted to say, RoR2 is looking to be coming along fantastically. I really love that you are constantly taking things in unexpected directions-- I never expected to see the game translated to 3D but you have done it and I can imagine many hundreds of hours spent playing. Will Chris Christodoulou be working on the music this game as well? A: Yes, he will be back!
Q: Have you considered calling the second Risk of Rain "Risk of Twain"? A: Not until now
Q: This is kind of a question and a half. How big will the RoR2 maps be and will all the RoR1 maps return in 3D with the additions of new maps or just overall new maps? A: Overall we’re not really looking at the previous maps for the inspiration for our new ones – we’re not making RoR 3D, but a sequel, so we don’t really want to recreate too much old stuff!
Q: Since RoR2 is moving to more dynamic network model, how will people with screwy NATs be affected? NAT Punchthrough is great and all, but if implemented incorrectly can lead to multiple users on the same NAT being unable to join servers outside of the NAT (See Rainbow Six Siege). Will users still be able to host dedicated servers like the old game? What does this mean for users buying the game through GOG/Humble Bundle? Really hope everything goes swimmingly because port forwarding sucks. A: This is the exact reason that we will have to have some form of limited beta, because this is something that we can’t recreate in office. I honestly don’t know enough to respond accurately on what would happen in that particular situation, but thanks for the heads up
Q: Relative to the first one, will Risk of Rain 2 be a sequel, prequel, completely unrelated, or even have story at all? A: Sequel!
Q: How were you going to implement artifacts this time around? Is it going to be based around areas that are randomly generated and you sometimes have access, or multiple spawn locations, etc. A: Dunno, we haven’t implemented really any form of map permutations yet. The artifacts also ended up taking a much more important role in the game than we initially expected – not sure if the old way of unlocking is strange if it’s to be a core feature.
Q: (Big fan) I just had some curious questions; How many characters do you intend there to be in RoR2?, How differently do you plan on changing the previous characters?, Any hints on the final boss? pls, What is the estimated price of the game? and will their be any chance of PvP? Cannot wait, super hyped and keep up the great work :D A: We’re aiming for 10 characters on launch. No spoilers or hints! Definitely not PvP in any official capacity since the networking structure wasn’t designed for a good PvP experience.
Q: I've got three questions : 1) Will it be called RoR2 or will you find / have you found something else ? 2) Why the hell is there one more 'o' in the tumblr URL than in the actual 'Hopoo' name ? 3) What's the average of the team's favorite meals ? thx xoxo <3 A: I think it’ll just be RoR2. The hopoo tumblr was taken on creation of this tumblr, so we had to make it hopooo instead ☹
Q: Will RoR2 reveal why the Contact Light was carrying a teleporter linked to a planet crammed with hostile lifeforms? A: I’d like to explore what the heck is up with the humans in this game, but I sorta wish I had a better avenue that’s not just item logs and monster logs.
Q: I'm going to ask the real questions, is Sniper a man or woman? This is important because reasons. A:
Q: Theres something that confuses me alot about risk of rain 2. It's the lore. If the characters have left the planet, why would they come back? A: Canonically, the returning characters were never on the Contact Light to begin with (and presumably there could totally be like, a bunch of engineers and commando suits.)

What do you think about Rainbow 6 future?
Okay, time for an essay!
Real talk, I play Siege incredibly often. More so now than I ever did because Halo and Destiny are in the middle of a serious lull, so I care deeply for the future of Rainbow Six and Siege in particular.
I have a love hate with the meta of Siege as it stands. I remember during the beta and the start of the game’s life cycle, people played it like a Rainbow Six game, focusing on using tactics, sneakiness, and intelligent planning above all else. A team could go without structure and team construction because any character had the capability of being used beyond their gadget and stats. An intelligent strategy was more important than team composition. However, Siege was created as a light replica of the current state of modern multiplayer shooters, focusing on team play, objectives, and a roster of characters instead of loadouts. These games rose to incredible heights during Siege’s development and early release cycle, and as such, Ubisoft decided to push expansions, new content, and patches towards this new standard, shaping Siege into less of a TDM Rainbow Six game, and more of an Overwatch clone with a Rainbow Six skin. I would compare it to Halo Wars and it’s relationship with the Halo FPS games.
The game has evolved throughout it’s lifetime to push the meta to its maximum. Spawn peeking and roaming are common, if not encouraged practices. Cheeky angles, and drop-shotting are important things to master if you want to be high ranked, and while I have grown to put up with these things, I do not like them. It is disheartening to see a game and its players become more obsessed with the games meta and how to exploit it to the maximum, as opposed to the core principles of the game. Taking it slow, preparing an unbreakable defense or an unstoppable rush, analyzing a situation fully and formulating the best strategy on the fly, those are the things that Rainbow Six has always been about, and what Siege used to be about. But now, why make a strong defense when 3-Speed Ash will just rush through anyways, or why analyze and plan how to rush if you know that a Jager is ready to pop your head if you don’t immediately get in the building? The game is too self-aware for the benefit of immersion, which is what sold me and many people on this game to begin with.
On the topic of characters, I feel that Ubisoft needs to take a page from Overwatch and not Riot or Hi-Rez. Siege benefits from having a roster of unique gadgets that add to a team and can potentially reshape the gameplan of the enemy team, if not the actual meta of the game. I have heard that Ubisoft wants to have much more characters in the game (I don’t have the hard number but I always hear like 50 or 100), and I think that’s wrong. At some point you either have gadget overlaps, or you have to add completely new things to the game, things that aren’t necessary when you already have such an incredible sandbox. And the worst part isn’t either of the two, but when you have completely useless characters that add nothing but their guns which I just find infuriating. It seems that for every Mira we get, we get a Jackal, a character who is completely ironic. He is created to be an anti-roamer, solidifying the concept of roaming into the meta, but he can’t find the only actual roamer in the game. Suddenly Caveira goes from being a roamer to and anti-anti-roamer. That kind of logic just makes me think that Ubisoft isn’t giving Siege their all. Every character should interact with the sandbox and meta in place, with other characters in interesting and dynamic ways, and should be an intelligent and useful addition to the game. This means that they don’t have to add another two operators every 3 months, it means add intelligent and worthwhile content when it is ready to keep the game alive even longer than these DLCs we’ve been getting.
Finally, Siege should have had a campaign, or at least a series of missions that use the multiplayer maps as if they were one continuous story. Siege finally has such a rich established lore that it doesn’t use in the slightest. It completely wastes the characters. Why give them personalities and backstories if you’re only experiences with them are in 5 minute intervals when they don’t talk. As someone who enjoys this fake bullshit team dynamic stuff, I’m incredibly aggravated that unlike Overwatch, where the devs interact with fan canons and stories, the devs of Siege completely ignore that kind of stuff.
I didn‘t play any of the previous Rainbow Six games, but I watched Let’s Plays, and I always was intrigued by the series, and I am sorely disappointed to see Rainbow Six Siege be the most popular game in the series, because it reinvented the series and completely ignores its roots or what made Rainbow Six unique. If Halo Wars was the best selling game in the Halo series, and Microsoft decided to pull the plug on any FPS titles, and instead switch gear to RTS games exclusively I would be livid. This is not that extreme but it is still disheartening, especially for the simple idea that there may never be another installment in the series if Siege is so profitable from DLC alone.
TL;DR
idk man but Ela better be thicc

Holiday GSG 9 Headcanons
Alright I did this the other day for the Spetz boys and had a good time, now I'm going to do it for the GSG 9. If anyone has any that they want me to do, let me know! I might do more :)
These are gifts that I think the members of GSG 9 would get their SO and how they would treat their SO in cold weather (warming them up, what food they'd make them, e.t.c.)
Bandit - Bandit would be more about experiences than material gifts. It would be important to him to create memories with you instead of buying you an object. He would be the one to plan a romantic weekend bike ride to a nice remote cabin if you liked the woods, or if he knew you hated the woods he would bring you to a romantic weekend on the beach. As long as the two of you were together, he wouldn't care where you went. The ride would be his favorite part of the whole experience, feeling you wrap your arms around him tightly so you don't fall off. He would also make sure to get you a single gift that you didn't know he knew you wanted.
Secretly Bandit would hope for you to get snowed in so you would be stuck together all weekend. Of course, no matter where you were, you'd never lose power. If you shivered even a little he'd make it his personal mission to make sure you didn't stay cold for long. If his leather jacket and three blankets weren't enough to warm you, his body heat would be, and he would hold you tightly into the night.
Jager - He's someone who, like Bandit, would want to give you a special experience that you'll never forget. He would take you for a helicopter ride over your favorite landscape and feel giddy inside at every excited exclamation you made. He would be inclined to make sure that the house was well decorated, in fact, he's known for it and takes great pride in it. He would enjoy putting a smile on your face with the small and personal gifts, rather than big and extravagant gifts.
If it was cold out, or you were stuck in a storm, he would be the one to make sure that the house was running at full efficiency, really good heating system, plastic on the windows to keep the heat in, etc. He doesn't brag about it, but he makes really good winter comfort food and would love nothing more than to have you try it. He would be really happy if you would curl up with him under the covers and be his little spoon when you're cold and shivering.
Blitz - Blitz would be the one to make sure that anything you mentioned liking or enjoying that year was under the tree on Christmas morning. He would be stressing as it got closer, probably reaching out to your closest friends and family members to make sure he didn't miss anything. He would be exceptionally nervous that you wouldn't like some of the gifts he got you, but of course he nailed it. Blitzen is his spirit animal.
When it's getting chilly, Blitz will be the first one to start complaining. You will think he's cute when he's whining, and he will use it as a convenient excuse to get very close to you every winter...not that he really needs one. He also really enjoys cuddling up in front of a cozy fireplace and letting you fall asleep on him while you're on the couch.
IQ - Whether you want it or not, IQ will always make sure you have the latest tech wrapped up under the tree. She would also make sure that you got the one thing you asked for the most. IQ would be the type to conveniently be under the mistletoe far too often, despite being with you all the time and not needing an exclusive invitation to shower you in kisses. She would also really enjoy baking and decorating cookies...like a lot of them.
When it's cold, IQ will tell Alexa to turn up the heat so she can spend less time worrying about the weather, and more time with you. She wouldn't care if you were the big spoon or she was, as long as you could curl up and watch some wintery movies together. She uses an electric fireplace instead of a real one.

DESTINY!!!—Sunday Chats (9-10-17)
Yeah, Destiny 2 is out. There is a lot I want to say and talk about. But luckily, you can just LISTEN to me talk about a great many of those feelings on a brand-spanking new Destiny podcast I help host called Farm to Tower, and you should give it a watch!!
youtube
In short: we’re really excited about this new project and show, and I’m really excited for its future!!
Normally here I’d have a big editorial to kick things off, and I have a few things mulling around in my head to talk about. I’ll be honest, I’ve just had a couple of really long days and finally have some time to relax now that the above recording is done, so I am just going to skip past many of the normal segments of Sunday Chats in favor of questions, because I did get a ton of really great questions from all you lovely readers and I’m excited to answer them.
So. To summarize. It’s been 7 years since a Metroid game came out and it was Other M and it wasn’t that great. I finished Nier Automata and was disappointed by it. Destiny 2 is really excellent in all of the right ways. Uncharted The Lost Legacy seems super fantastic for reasons I did not expect at all. And I had Chipotle for lunch today.
...
That last one was more just, ya know, for me.
Anyway.
Questions
If you want to have your questions answered here on Sunday Chats, find my tweet on Sunday afternoons (Eastern time) with the hashtag #SundayChats in it, send a reply to it, and you did it. Good job!
So you had joked about this to me Ben but I wasn’t really aware of it really until just looking it up. It seems pretty interesting. It doesn’t seem like there is a cast for it yet (I could be wrong) and it’ll be an Americanized version of the show, which i know, tons of eye rolls coming from folks, especially after the recent Death Note movie, but I dunno. I like to see new interpretations of things. The trouble with them is they will often focus in on something different than what the viewers, like myself, latched onto.
For example, having not watched it, it seems like Death Note may have lost sight of the intellectual battle between Light and L, and how that really defined the tone of that show. I hope that SAO’s live action show holds on to what made the game itself SAO super interesting and even tantalizing. To the psychological damage that happened there. And to the love that Kirito and Asuna found in it. Like, it’s a whole story about the good that comes from the bad.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see though! Either way, I don’t mind. I’m not a complainer or anything. Make your thing and try it out! If it ends up being good, great! If not, it doesn’t change how important the original is to me.
I don’t know what the anime is nor do I care to know what it is or what it’s about. I can confidently endorse this 100% and ideally all of Jaden Smith’s characters’ lines will be formatted the same way as his tweets were.
Anytime! Well, I say anytime, but I don’t actually game with other folks very often, haha. I like to play my games alone mostly because it’s just my preferred way to play them, but also because I like listening to podcasts when I play games, so it makes it tricky to do that and talk to folks.
Destiny 2 would be a great time to do so though!
And it is Carly Rae Jepsen, queen of pop and all things music.
Going to assume it was meant to be “aside from this year”.
For me, it’d probably be 2008. It’s the year Fallout 3 came out, but also the year Rock Band 2 came out, Dead Space, Bioshock on PS3 (where I first played it), Little Big Planet, Gears of War 2, marking the moment I got an Xbox 360 for that and Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, and Left 4 Dead.
It’s worth also shouting out 2013 for the likes of The Last of Us, and of course to 2015 for Ori and the Blind Forest, Life is Strange, The Witcher 3, and Metal Gear Solid V. Woooo, what a year.
This is definitely the best in my lifetime though. Because whoa damn.
I think the biggest take away from Destiny’s lineage is redemption. That making a single video game and putting it out, especially a multiplayer game, doesn’t mean it’s over. The ripples of that across the industry have been massive, for sure, especially to a publisher like Ubisoft. Looking at the legacy of something like Rainbow Six the Siege is really reflective of what happened to Destiny.
The ultimate story is that Destiny went through hell and came out half-baked. They spent a long time course correcting, but it worked out. The Taken King was fantastic. Rise of Iron was excellent. And Destiny 2 is really the culmination of those lessons, and the fact of the matter is, Destiny 2 would not be as successful if Bungie didn’t double down and commit to making Destiny 1 a better product. They didn’t just abandon it and go right on to making Destiny 2, they changed it, almost from the ground up, and it paid off. They made the original Destiny a much bigger and longer-lasting product then I think they initially planned, and they’ve not released Destiny 2 to what seems like a roaring success.
With stuff like The Siege and The Division, we’ve seen other multiplayer games commit and thrive. Games like Player Unknowns Battlegrounds will thrive in a similar way for years to come I think. Overwatch continues to grow, and Blizzard has always stuck to this model to amazing success. And now we’re starting to see that be profitable for other game developers too! And look at games like No Man’s Sky and Final Fantasy XV, single player games that had varying degrees of mixed reaction, still updating and changing and evolving to this day. It’s just a really exciting implication for the industry, because it evolves on that sequel-driven industry concept, and it also holds developers far more accountable for their products. Plus, even if No Man’s Sky launched at a 6.0, it’d be amazing if by the end of it we can say it’s an 8.0 or a 9.
YES! Finally a new Metroid game, it’s 2D, and on 3DS! There was no Metroid game on the DS and has still not been one on 2DS, and it’s about damn time! I’m really excited, because I actually went back and played Metroid 2 once waaaay back when on my old Game Boy growing up, and really dug it even though it certainly has a ton of issues. Seeing it redone and touched up is gonna be super exciting.
I do! Hearing Ben talk about it is definitely a big thing, but I’ve played a bit of Ys Origins, a random entry I picked up years ago on a Steam sale and really dug it. I’m always out to look for a new action RPG, and while Ys is a bit grindy and drawn out, I think those games have a really awesome style to them.
See above, but Destiny 2 is fantastic. I think it’s just truly a great video game, on it’s own merits. In a lot of ways, it really is an open world RPG with more massively multiplayer aspects to it, but it does being one of those exceptionally well, on top of also having all the things that made the original Destiny quirky and unique and fun in the first place. It’s a really best-of-all-worlds situation, and I am endlessly impressed with how immediately different and familiar it feels, absolutely nailing the line.
I put well over 100 hours into the original Destiny, coming in at The Taken King, and I am blown away, honestly.
This. Is. Such. A. Great. Question.
Oh my god. Fuck....
Uh...
Recently I’ve been listening to a lot of Day ‘n Night by Kid Cudi, and I think that’d be a good fit. Very much the feeling of routine and solemness and self-disgust and solitude, but I think it would slowly progress into Katy Perry’s ROAR after a bit, because like I’ve done so much in the last three days oh my god.
This is a great question Jon, and thank you for asking it.
About four days. I actually sleep with a fan blowing in my face, and can’t sleep without it, and so I went up to my dad’s house and stayed with him for a few days since I couldn’t sleep without a fan. It was a little bit torture because the bed was a little uncomfortable and he lived on the water and the sunrise into my bedroom was sooooo bright it woke me up every day.
This is a veeeery excellent question. My one is almost always Joel from The Last of Us, because I think I’d just love to see him interact with someone else. Maybe discuss fatherhood with another character, possibly a Booker Dewitt (ignoring the fact that both characters are portrayed by Troy Baker) or a Lee Everett.
Also like wouldn’t Crash Bandicoot and Bowser in the same room just shooting the shit be the greatest thing ever?
Nathan Drake talking to Spyro the Dragon because what the fuck is this new mythological creature in front of me who can speak english and was played by Elijah Wood in one of the games??
Link and Alundra in a room not talking because they’re both silent protagonists?
So many good choices.
Please god stop with these jokes Nate.
I really like Hawthorn, who is a cool different look at the outside of The Last City right off the bat in Destiny 2. But, I’m not terribly deep into the story at the moment, so I don’t know for sure. Having just met Failsafe, and hearing good things about her, I think it’s safe to say she will be Number One.
I mean the Tomba games being remade on new consoles is pretty much begging to happen. Oh, and I really want the original Spyro trilogy back too. Most of the big ones I would say are already there. The Darksiders games, the Batman games, the Kingdom Hearts remasters, even at 60fps on that one too. I’d say here are some big ones:
The Metal Gear Solid series
The Resistance Trilogy, especially 3, which is by far the best one.
Dead Space. PLEASE!
Bring Persona 3 (remastered, preferably) and Persona 4 Golden to them. Xbox One as well so those folks can play too! (and Switch, yuh doyyy)
The Tales games, including Tales of Vesperia PS3 with all the new content, to the west, for the first time.
And the absolute biggest one: DARK SOULS ONE. REMASTER IT. PLEASE!!!!
I really did not like the hand canon I used, but there were a few choice ones from Destiny 1 that were good so I haven’t ruled them out yet.
For me, it’s aaaaalways the Scout Rifle. Weirdly enough, in most first person shooters it’s not reflect for me to aim for the head. I just dont, and usually aim for the body very poorly. I always get half way through shooting them before I realize “oh I should be aiming at the head” and change fire to they really slowly, and I always forget. It’s just not instinct for whatever reason. But in Destiny. It’s just there. Most of my hits are “critical” or headshots, but just in Destiny. It just feeeeeels soooooo goooooood. Easily up there with a Mario or like, a DmC Devil May Cry as far as just nailing what it’s going for.
To me, it just feels like you have soooo much more control in Destiny. Shooting, running, turning, everything about the feel seems controlled and metered. While it’s no Overwatch or Call of Duty, it’s certainly a twitchy game, and so it balancing that speed and the control the player has is incredible. Thus, the heavier weapons that shoot single shots, which I typically do not like, just feel that much better to me. That much more controlled. The Scout Rifle is boss.
*Edit: I put this question aside to come back to write the answer to at the end, and then I totally forgot. So I am coming back later and doing it justice!
As someone who suffers from clinical depression, and gosh I know that sentence sounds like I am using it like a crutch or a casual conversation point, trivializing it, which I am not, I am someone who deals with that overwhelming negativity a great deal. Whether it manifests as “morbid thoughts”, straight up suicidal thoughts, feelings of insignificance, low self-esteem, low self-worth, feeling like wanting to isolate yourself, closing yourself off, frustration, a short temper, or otherwise (even though I pretty much covered the gambit there), I’ve dealt with it. And it’s hard. But really, the big thing, I say coming out of a pretty bad depression, is knowing it’ll change. It’ll evolve.
My lows in negativity only ever last so long. Sometimes it has been six months, and it has been really, really hard. But I come back to full swing at some point. Holding onto that does help me.
Video games are obviously a really good escape, but honestly coming into music was a big part of that evolution for me. Ever since I played Journey the first time, not only have I begun to notice video game music that much more, but music in general, empathizing with lyrics, artists, pleas, and more. Leaning into sound that really just epitomizes your feeling too, like sound that feels like a color, or an emotion, stuff like that. Run With The Hunted was a really fantastic album for me in a really stressful period of my life, because it evoked that stress, and frustration, and fear, and also sadness and hope. Like, it hits so many notes, thus it being my favorite album of all time.
Exercise has also been a good thing for me. Exercising releases endorphins which are an actual chemical in your brain that just makes you feel happy or satisfied. It’s an actual way to force yourself into feeling just a little bit better, and walking around Lake Elkhorn, a fantasy-esque lake near the outskirts of my house has been so meditative, because the place is just soooo beautiful, that it’s helped me think of ideas when I find myself in a rut.
Here is a shot from Saturday morning that I took:
So those are things I’ve used. Trying to not sleep to much, eating a bit better, drinking less soda, generally doing healthy things also starts to just help those good vibes creep back into your life. It’s hard, it’s soooo so hard, but those may be some ways to help.
Kaylie hush! I’ll always come back to Overwatch, and we can play anytime!
I am certainly still open to the Overwatch circuit, and if folks want to get into that Halloween event with me when it starts, I will happily oblige!
Long live Overwatch! Yaaaaay!
...
But like probably.
I have only seen the Dawn Blade class so far, as a primary Warlock player. Everything just generally is the same but evolved and updated right? The only other class I had before was Titan, and I know the flaming hammers are still in Destiny 2, so I am pretty happy considering that was my favorite class.
Also, I primarily played sun singer when I played original Destiny, so Dawn Blade being the replacement subclass in Destiny 2 has me a bit bummed. For folks who don’t know, the big thing you could evolve the Sun SInger’s super into is a self-revive, which could save entire teams from horrifying team-sweeping events. Also, it could get the remaining team mates out of a pinch. Dawn Blade just gives you a cool flame sword, but still, is really rad.
I’d probably bring the self-revive feature back into Dawn Blade somehow, or at least alter things so you could change the full effect of your super like you could in the original.
Uh... Why is my picture in this...?
Well, anyway, I don’t have a lot! Is it fair to say the Persona 4 Arena games? Haha, I mean they’re kind of an anime based on a video game, but they’ve very much anime video games, and they’ve very good!
I played a Full Metal Alchemist game on PS2 once and was very bad at it, so I don’t think that counts.
It’s probably corny to say, but Dragon Ball Z Boudikai 3 is just the best DBZ game there is. I love Boudikai 2 though, I’m not gonna lie. Flying around in B3 is awesome and fun and feels like you are a part of the world. Secrets like using the Dragon Radar to find all seven dragon balls in each story arc is also super cool because it unlocks tons of new things and secrets. It’s just a really rad game.
Good god Roger. What have you done?! I say this in concern because I know this means you’ve purchased more fidget spinners, and this needs to stop please god.
The Checklist
https://www.okbeast.com/2017/09/08/sword-art-online-episode-17/ - A+ Anime Podcast - Ian Preschel and Nato Johnston
God knows I love to pimp my own stuff here, so this was a podcast I was on! A+ anime is cool and they’re doing a thing where they talk about the first episode of big anime and rate it and talk about it in reflection of the series. I was on with just Nato, and we had a great chat! Longtime A Blog’s Story readers will remember I wrote 4000+ words on Sword Art Online, so go dig those up from the archives!!
https://waypoint.vice.com/en_us/article/qk779d/giant-bombs-alex-navarro-joins-us-to-spoil-nier-automata - Nier Automata Spoilercast - Waypoint
Patrick, Austin, and Alex Navarro from GiantBomb all got together and did a great and succinct NA spoilercast earlier this year, and having just finished it this week, It was great to get their perspective. While I’ll save the Nier thoughts and frustrations for another day, this cast really did help put things in perspective for me, and deepen those ideas a bit. Worth a listen if you’ve played!
Whoa man. It’s been a crazy weekend for me, stepping back up my life, and launching a cool new show! Stay tuned for more Farm to Tower, and thank you all so much for participating and reading. Honestly, you all are the best.
Do me a solid in return:
keep it real.

Over the past two years, between a hostile takedown by Vivendi and numerous other industry stories, I saw French publisher and development house Ubisoft continue to take risks and launch new IPs. After the recent Steep (which I said in my review needed a bit more of finishing touch), it is now the turn for For Honor to emerge, in a weird genre between a fighting game and MOBA mechanics, where three mighty Middle-Age warrior tribes fight an eternal war. Weird? Maybe, but it works.
First, let me start by saying that MOBA are not really my thing, and while I had fun with MMOs back in days (mostly World of Warcraft and Guild Wars), DOTA 2 or League of Legends are games that didn’t get the patience – or time for that matter – to fully get into it to a point that I know stats and traits of over 100 different characters. Even with my short phase of playing both DOTA 2 and League of Legends, I had enough to understand the core concept of a MOBA, which is basically supporting a bunch of creeps that are your canon-fodder while you gain experience and be strong enough with your team to take over the enemy base. For Honor in this case is neither a MOBA nor an MMO, and feels more a fighting game that anything else, which was shocking for me as being in my top three most played gaming genre.
The MOBA and fantasy part of the game comes with its lore, arena fight mechanics as well as its character designs and choices (which can be also compared with the Omega Force’s titles). For Honor’s story is grounded by a fictional and eternal fight between Knights, Vikings, and Samurais, even though in real-life history, these “factions” never fought, but they do now because of some sort of world-changing cataclysm. Anyway the story is quite strange, and you discover slowly that there’s a mastermind behind this whole clash between factions, but what’s important to know is that the script of this game is not really what will get it awards. Nevertheless, there’s a “story” mode that tells the tale of three mighty Knight, Viking, and Samurai warriors, that will attempt to explain the mystic scenario of this game, while basically act as a long tutorial of each character class in each faction. Because of the AI enemy not being optimal in this story mode, I would advise to play this campaign with a friend that just grabbed the game as yourself, and play coop trough these 18 missions that need around 10-15 hours to finish depending on the difficulty levels, alongside the chance to find collectibles and other actions that will help you in customizing your gaming experience.
As you advance throughout the story, you’ll gain gold coins based on some criteria, and once you reach the 500 count, you’ll be able to start buying your very own new warrior class on top of the three starting one for each faction. Like the same strategy as Rainbow Six Siege’s operatives unlocking mechanics, Ubisoft Montreal decided to follow the same pattern and give you the chance as a player to unlock new characters the more you play the game (12 in total, 4 per faction). This logic also applies to the season pass owners, which will only get a seven-day head start to unlock the new characters, but if you wallet is heavy, you can also buy yourself the same coins with real-life currency and “speed” things up or unlock cosmetic upgrades to make each character unique in their own way.
In any case, let’s talk about each character class, shall we? First to be introduced in the story mode, are the Knight’s Vanguard, being the most versatile, easier to handle and do not have complex attack combos. However, don’t see them as the beginner class as they can become effective once you learn the depth of their technique, and their Viking counterpart can be tricky to handle with its two-handed ax, followed by the Samurai’s version with a long reach Katana. The second category includes the assassins (fitting for a Ubisoft game), which are weaker in terms of armor, more difficult to handle as they agile dual-handed warriors, except for the Samurai’ Orochi. Finally, the Heavy class of the game are like any tank in RPG: a beast of a warrior in terms of defense, and hit hard at the expense of slow movements. Finally, the hybrids are combinations of these three previously mentioned classes, with my personal one being the Viking’s Valkyrie armed which can harass swiftly like an Assassin, has Disabler abilities of the Samurai Heavy, and a long reach attack thanks to its lance (like the Samurai Vanguard).
With all this to take in consideration, and the depth of each faction’s differences even within each classes, comes the importance of training, and lots of it. The heart of the gameplay resides in a smart and simple to understand guard position (or stance), which is done to control which part of your body you want to attack and defend. So on screen, you’ll see this small chest overlay, with an arrow that is oriented up, left or right which respectively means that you are about to attack/defend your upper body, left or right side. While this seems simple by base, you discover a deeper and richer attack and defend mechanic, with a parry function that needs to be timed at the exact moment, counter attack combos, guardbreaks, and finally the map/arena itself plays a big part in the combat. You see, each arena has its own amount of obstacles, traps and cliffs which can become a viable solution to get rid of enemies, by using these environments to your advantage. There’s a fire in the middle of the field? No problem, harass your opponent until he’s forced to back into the pit and see its health fall dramatically. present in each arena make it a viable solution when it comes to getting rid of an enemy who is unconcerned. When it comes to singleplayer, all these actions are perfectly responsive on the controller, but watch out when you play online, as a strict NAT will make you fall into the same misery of every fighting game: not being able to hit that perfect milliseconds life-saving parry because of lag. Technically speaking it’s worth mentioning that there’s difference between all platforms, with both base consoles running the game at a locked 1080p and 30 frames per second, while the PlayStation 4 Pro can reach 1440p and 30 frames per second, and PC can go as high 4K resolution but locked to roughly 40 fps (in comparison up to 90 fps with 1080p).
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
Considering the fact that its main multiplayer mode sets up large battle scenes with dozens of soldiers duking it out, For Honor runs the risk of making your system stutter and lag as it tries to render all the carnage. However, I’m pleased to report that the game manages to pull off its epic stabfests with nary a stutter. Optimization is top-notch here, even with fires raging and explosions popping up. I set the dial to Ultra at 1080 and ran the game’s benchmark tool, which put my fps between 70 and 90. In real combat scenarios, I was able to hit 100 without Vsync, and with Vsync I managed a smooth 60. There were some minor stutters while turning quickly, but other than that the experience was noticeably hitch-free. In terms of controls, I will firmly recommend a controller. The reason for this is that the game’s super-intuitive and fun blocking mechanic is bound to the mouse on PC.
So instead of just flicking the right analog in the direction you wanna block, you flick your wrist to move the mouse. It’s uncomfortable and less precise, and I barely managed a few rounds with it. Stick to controller with this one, people. All in all, the game does a great job on PC and I had no trouble even when I scaled it up to 1440. Great optimization job all around.
Now as mentioned above, each “hero” will have its own advantage depending on the faction, meaning simply that my Knight Vanguard will not play the same as your Samurai version. For example, the Viking Heavy called Warlords is equipped with a heavy shield and Gladius (Ancient Roman primary sword), which allows him to deflect blows easily and counter at close range. The list of combo styles are roughly no more than 8 or 9 variants, but the game is not lacking in depth as mastering each attack timing will require hours of actual AI or real-life opponent before it becomes a reflex.
For Honor as a game is played in confined arenas, which replicate what a medieval battle looks like without turning into an open-world game. This restriction is logical, as it helps makes the environment look stunning, whether it is the European style forest of the Knights to the exotic maps of the Samurai, passing by the snowy peaks of the Vikings. Yet the real prowess of the game lies in its engine and how it handles animations, with a realism that obviously reinforce the sheer power of some attacks, and how visually painful a hit can be. You just wait until you get to do your first assassination, you’ll just want to see more of that, like some sort of medieval Mortal Kombat style Fatalities.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
The game also has a great and effective UI and HUD, which pair visually in a great way with all actions done. For example, when you are in guard mode (a sort of lock-on aiming), the edges of the screen darken to better concentrate your attention on the locked enemy. Or my favorite is something called Revenge mode, which activates when you attack chain combos, or get damaged to near-death, and gives you this short couple of second invulnerable moment, and flashes with bright fire orange colors on screen. All these visual output are clearly Inspired by fighting games and the effect spectacle that follows great combos and super attacks.
But like most things in life, For Honor is not perfect, and has sadly the typical flaws of a newly launched internet-required game. First of all Matchmaking seems to be illogical for me, and getting paired with players of quite different skill levels, which explains the fact that the eSports/Ranked mode of the multiplayer is not launching until late April (in 2 month basically). It could be normal as matchmaking algorithms usually take time to identify a bunch of newly created accounts, but at the same time a technical beta, closed beta and open beta seemed to have not helped prevent server issues. In my case I managed to switch from a Strict to an Open NAT connection, but even that didn’t help with random disconnections from a multiplayer game.
Nevertheless, these launch issues will probably be fixed soon with a patch no doubt (as Ubisoft proved it with constant support on Rainbow Six Siege and The Division), but the biggest issue I believe is how niche this game is. You see, the campaign can be played alone or in coop, which offers several levels of difficulty thus could expand the lifespan of the game, but it’s the multiplayer modes and the number of variety that will truly make the game a long-term investment for players. Sadly due to this rare mix between a fighting game and MOBA style multiplayer modes, the complexity of it might not get the amount of players to truly make this a competitive or eSports hit, but who knows, it could become what Wargaming did with World of Tanks in Europe. In any case, its originality of gameplay features might arise curiosity in players, which will find everything you need of a game that is multiplayer firstly and a traditional singleplayer campaign game second. There’s 9 characters to unlock, a ranking system, “loot boxes” that contain equipment that boost your stats, or just cosmetic changes like a majestic mountain of golden spikes on top of helmet. To top thing off, there’s a sort of constant online Faction War (similar to the Mortal Kombat X system), which has you fight for one specific Faction, and all your feats during your multiplayer game will contribute War Assets to that banner. What this affects is the what territory each faction occupies on the For Honor world, which dictates which map you’ll be playing on as a defender in multiplayer, and which one when you’ll be the attacker.
One last thing to close this review, which is always a topic dear to me in videogames: the soundtrack. Sadly this is the thing that felt very unoriginal and bland, and even if some tunes are quite majestic, they don’t really ooze power and the fantastic theme that is a war between three iconic warrior factions of our history.
For Honor was reviewed using an Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC downloadable code of the game provided by Ubisoft Middle East. The PC version was tested by Mazen Abdallah on a PC running Windows 10, with an 8GB NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1070 fitted on a 4th Generation Intel i7 4790 3.6Ghz CPU and topped with 16GB of RAM, while the console versions were tested by Nazih Fares and Luciano Rahal. We don’t discuss review scores with publishers or developers prior to the review being published.
Ubisoft’s For Honor is an enjoyable, visually stunning and gritty experience that might be a bit too original for its own good. Over the past two years, between a hostile takedown by Vivendi and numerous other industry stories, I saw French publisher and development house Ubisoft continue to take risks and launch new IPs.

Holiday Spetsnaz Headcanons
I was just sitting here at work thinking about what I think the Spetz boys would get their love interest or S/O for Christmas, and things they would do in the cold weather. I'm also procrastinating writing for my story so ya know...
Kapkan - Kapkan always watches you, and probably is the most in tune with your feelings and desires. He's a hunter, so he's used to watching carefully and studying patterns. He would get you something thoughtful. If you mentioned even one thing in passing that you were interested in, he would remember that and make sure to keep it in mind when the holidays came around. I don't think he's someone who would buy tons of gifts, but he would definitely make sure you had a few thoughtful gifts. He's a quality over quantity type of man.
As far as how he would act in cold weather...Kapkan loves the cold. He thrives in it even, and he would always want to make sure you were warm. He would be really good at starting a fire in the fireplace and make sure that you had a cozy blanket. He's not the most cuddly, but he would try to be for you, and he lowkey likes the way you look when you fall asleep by the light of the fireplace on his chest.
Tachanka - We all know Alexsandr would shower you with tons of unnecessary but heartwarming gifts. He will have done his best and you would certainly appreciate the gesture. While not the most observant of the Spetz boys, he certainly would be the loudest about his adoration for you and wouldn't be shy about it in front of anyone. You would have to get a storage unit to store some of the things he buys you. I also like to think he would take SO MUCH pride in his Christmas tree. Like it would be the biggest tree you'd ever seen covered in lights.
Tachanka isn't as fond of cold weather as Kapkan, but he doesn't mind it either. He's a very physically affectionate person and loves any opportunity to get close to you and hold you tight...sometimes too tight and you feel like you can't breathe. He would find it adorable to wrap you in several blankets like a burrito on the couch.
Fuze - Fuze would probably be the most timid about getting you a gift. It would be super important that he got it right, and he would reach out to a few of his closest comrades, and yours, to make sure he didn't disappoint you. He wouldn't be vocal about it, but he would internally swell with excitement when you opened his thoughtful gift and hope to the stars that you were as excited to receive it as he was to give it to you. He would also get along with your family really well too during holiday parties that you dragged him to against his will.
Fuze would definitely be shy when it came to cuddling you, but once you were wrapped in each other's arms on a cold winter night, he would be happy. He would also take great pleasure in making his signature hot cocoa that is surprisingly the most delicious thing you've ever tried. He radiates a lot body heat, and you would latch on to him for dear life because of that.
Glaz - Glaz would by far go out of his way to do something creative. If you had mentioned something specific that you wanted he would make sure to do that too, but he wouldn't be able to resist his artistic nature. You would be surprised with a beautiful painting of something you mentioned liking whether it be a scene from a book you loved maybe a movie scene. He would love to see how happy it made you to receive something so special that he had made especially for you.
Glaz wouldn't necessarily be a pro at stoking the fire, but he would give you his jacket and gloves and hold you all night to keep you from getting too cold. He would also go to the store in a snow storm to get you something warm to drink and a space heater if the gloves, jacket and cuddles weren't enough.
How do you guys think they would act? Any other factions you guys want me to do?
