i feel like the internet would be a marginally healthier place if when ppl get mad about something online they type up a reply or post or tweet or make a video about it and save it as a draft and sleep on it instead of just hitting post. like writing an angry letter that you don't intend to send. you don't owe strangers inside your computer all of that stress!! release that aimless wrath and go live colorfully friend

#idk i do this now and then and i think it helps #this is specifically about Online™ stuff to be clear #not like #railing against institutions of power or venting about injustices you face etc #tho there are also sometimes (often?) more effective ways of responding to those things than making posts or hashtags about it #online activism does have its place #just don't mistake manufactured outrage for something other than it is u kno #the world needs your anger razor focused:#aim carefully & use it wisely #bird words
