Welcome to the end, weary traveler! And, in case you've somehow missed EVERYTHING that happened today: April Fools!

As of this post, I've now officially covered each of the 170+ Raft Ride rips - including some fringe cases - to have been uploaded to the SiIvaGunner channel. Did you have fun taking this trip down memory lane? Find a new Raft Ride favorite? Or, did you focus on the incredible April Fools event currently happening on the main channel as I'm currently writing this? Not that I can blame you - my attention was so split all day, I didn't get anything productive done!! It meant a lot to get to see so many people's reactions to realizing the scope of this whole thing, smiles and fun comments on seeing their favorite raft rides reshared - I'm writing this all just as its all come to an end, and it was so much fun in every sense of the word.

I've now taken off the "Todays SiIvaGunner" and "Season 7"/"Season 8" tags off all of these posts, as to not have them clog up the blog's Archive view (which you should be using!!!). Instead, consider what you're reading now the "masterpost" for helping you navigate the entire Raftmageddon event, as the one post that will show up as April 1st daily post.

And so don't consider this to be the end of my coverage, the end of the story - this IS Raft Ride ~ The Story So Far for a reason, after all! It's a really fun twist on one of the most popular Easter Eggs in Link's Awakening - happy late Easter! - and one of the most fun running gags in Nintendo's history in general, honestly. Totaka's song is sort of like Nintendo's own Raft Ride in a way, isn't it? This reoccurring, stupid ditty, just put together by one composer out of sheer boredom, almost eerily similar to where it all began with Raft Foot Creep...and overcast07 arranges it in a really fun way, keeping the suspense from the big jingle the original has, not really leaning too hard into the Raft Ride-iness with its infamous backing or screeching high note - but the note is high althesame, and the melody is undeniably that accursed, beloved tune. What a fun little surprise. What whimsy!! What a fun day today's been. :3

I love how the album name has literally nothing to do with the rip itself, thank you Sony. This is apparently referencing the terrible South Park N64 game? But I've both never watched South Park or played that, so all i can say is that the high note remains as excellent as ever here

THIS ONE IS A BANGER I'm kind of amazed that I'd never considered that a rip like this could be done before, but I love how genuinely good it sounds. Even while keeping the silly backing instrumentation the main Zelda theme still hits, and I love the cues it takes from Links Awakening's rendition of the Zelda theme in particular. All the while keeping the high note for a regular reminder of what you're listening to. Amazing job!!

We sure don't get National Anthem rips all too often. Hope Albania enjoys this one.

I dunno, I'm not from Albania, I honestly don't think I've ever even heard this theme before. Sounds good here though, I like the silly high notes breaking all form of grandiose-ness that the melody is otherwise suggesting.

Kind of just the same thoughts as the last post - I think the juxtaposition between such a cozy and familiar song with a sound as...experimental, lets say, as Raft Ride's, just creates an inherently very funny contrast. The arrangement here is great, and the high notes are harsher than ever, just the way it should be.

Fun fact: I actually watched like, three-fourths of MLP: Friendship is Magic? I enjoyed my time but it was also some of the most half-attentive watching I've ever done, so I really don't remember the song Babs Seed being used here. But it's a fun tune!! Translates well to Raft Riding, leverages the high note in proper places, a pretty natural fit.

Y'know after two raft ride rips with idol game music before this it kind of surprised me how much this specific Taylor Swift song just sounds... like those. Pop music is the universal language i suppose!! But yeah, just like those idol game rafts i think pitch shifting vocals to raft ride - ESPECIALLY the high note - is always great, and the instruments added here (while STILL keeping the game boy backing) add to the vibe immensely. good rip.
