Here is how the band and the start of the main body is looking in the #rafiaknit project ☺️ I'm knitting in the round, so please excuse the stitch markers in my photos 😉 I'm kind of partial to the purl fabric of this knit (picture 3). This will be a knitted vest with a lace panel at the centre front. My guage is slightly loose, but it seems to be working well because it's keeping softness in the fabric. This is pretty important with this type of viscose Rafia. Nobody wants to wear a something that feels like a box or piece of rigid board! The knit fabric feels quite smooth! The stitches are slightly nubbly due to the yarn being a bit uneven in thickness throughout.
