Stanley Donwood inspired Radiohead fanart! i painted this a while ago and it's miles away from my usual style but it was fun - I used the amnesiac minotaur but made him an angel which some of the mod bears have - I love the amnesiac minotaur they're so cute. i had just read stanley's Dead Children Playing and I got inspired

i am aware the line from pyramid song is 'black eyed angels' but 1) I misheard it for so long and 2) I think it still sounds cool and has the vibe so yeah :D

and bonus minotaur and mod bear angels from the back of my notebook & painted on a shirt! i love them I should draw them more often

Two of my favourite works from the Radiohead discography aren’t even on the main albums: the Pyramid Song EP, and In Rainbows (Disk 2). Seriously fantastic!

I’m obsessed with how Pyramid Song maintains its energy and unique sound- short but effective. Kinetic is an amazing song to end on as well.

In Rainbows certainly isn’t underrated, but I swear some of the songs on Disk 2 could easily compete against the main album. Consider Go Slowly or Down is the New Up….

the rattling thing in videotape by radiohead is really important because it sounds like the rattling alien thing in black pear tree by the mountain goats and kaki king. but in videotape its stronger and more sure. if the chattering alien thing in black pear tree is a question, if it's trying to communicate and to speak, then in videotape, it's there for the final time. it's here to collect you. it's like. black pear tree is a song about life and videotape is a song about death. someday i am going to walk out of here free. no matter what happens now, you shouldn't be afraid
