Uhh they'd definitely be doting, to say the least!! They happily babysit whenever Hollow and mothfriend are busy and when it becomes clear that Ivory takes after PK not only in looks and name, but in magical ability too, he takes her under his wing.

He's closer to one of the twins than the other bc they're constantly in his workshop watching him make things (when he's feeling well enough to) since he moved his workshop after the attack and abandoned all void experiments, so the workshop is pretty safe!!

WL loves picking up all her grandbabies (and husband, and baby, and baby in law) and she's the one who starts enforcing regular family dinners once the kids grow up enough to start leaving for longer periods

HMM what if Pale King steps down because his health was just getting worse after the attack? He wanted to rule for some time longer, but the longer his recovery dragged on and when it was clear he would never truly recover, he decided maybe it was time to actually consider Hollow taking over and training them.

And when they're the ruler maybe the cult could still kidnap them? It's kind of the lazy way out of using the same plot point but I think it works well

Plus, maybe it could show Pale King's growth when they do return and he doesn't slip back into that overly paranoid overprotective dad role again? Like he panicked a reasonable amount but wouldn't jump into restricting their freedom like how he would before the attack

They're not immortal tho dw, they just have RIDICULOUSLY long lifespans. Like PK is several millennia old and he's not even middle aged by wyrm standards

Regardless, I don't think everyone would stay in the palace, some would move out, some would probably leave the kingdom entirely, others would have such diluted higher being blood that their lifespans aren't much different from your average mortal.

Family reunions are wild tho

Adopts the same behaviors as their grandpa by coincidence. Love engineering, antisocial, very organized.

Uhh Hollow has 4 kids (only one of em has a name whoops)

There's the eldest, next in line for the throne, generally a little menace and too brave for his own good

Then there's the twins, one of em takes after PK in personality and is REALLY into engineering, the other one becomes a knight when they grow up bc of what happened to their older brother, so I'm not sure what they'd get up to in a scenario where older bro is still alive.

Then last there's Ivory!! I think she'd take more of a shine to her grandma tbh!! Little social butterfly, WILL make friends with everyone and everything.

In the bad end au, the eldest kiddo dies and the twins abdicate so Ivory is Queen after Hollow, but I refuse to kill anyone in the happy recovery au so the eldest gets to grow up and become king here lmao
