that scene in episode two…at falak’s birthday party…when rage n raga are posing for pictures and making the korean heart. and radhe who does not know about it snaps his fingers trying to copy their gesture.
and then mahi giggles at his cluelessness (not in an unkind manner AT ALL) and puts an arm around radhe’s shoulder and pulls him close…and explains the korean heart without being condescending about it.
that is soo cuteee and radhe’s smile and mahi’s laugh are precious and so is the fact that mahi doesn’t make radhe feel left out or dumb
tagging @fortuna-majoris again to witness my bullshit (i love them your honor)

Guys, Bandish bandits season 2
Uffff- the songs💪💪💪
Especially crying over Sakhi Mori
Because the voices and each instrument is played so raw?! The pain in his voice is impeccable like fr. And Mahi, oh god he's legit! Even he played the sitar (zitar?) so perfectly! Especially the last face off kinda thing with the Aalap thing. All the emotions that Rajendra and Mahi had been holding, all frustrations, just spilled out and gave us this perfect performance.
I also loved the Jheeni Jheeni part, especially the first half. The end is kinda loud, but hey- I love it none the less
Garaj Garaj rock version is nothing but phenomenal, everything is just so perfect about that song!! The sitar (zitar?) the saragam part when Radhe's kinda testing (?) Mahi's skills and the soft look of adoration on his face. And the fact the Mahi is playing his sitar with his eyes closed, well, most of the time they're closed or at least- 3/4th closed. Can't say because of the sun glasses.
I also loved the "Ta Na Tum" thing radhe and mahi did as an audition for Radhe, it was phenomenal. And tell me dear classical singers (I did classical till only the 2nd year so I'm not sure), is it really that disrespectful to switch and mix ragas? I'm sure it has something to do with- when you start a raga, you should finish it- right? But the part before Mahi switches to Raag Bhairavi is SO GOOD!! it's like- it sounds so playful and adventurous it's SLAY. we can also see mahi being like- sing na dude- while radhe's confused and all. Then when he doesn't, mahi just finishes it like BROOO
youtube
And then finally- Ghar aa Mahi
I have mixed opinions about this song. The Tammana part is pretty okay, it's not bad, but personally, I'm not a fan. The voice is just too pitchy for me.
But MOHINI MA'AM 🙏🙏
Her part makes me come back no matter how much i hate tammana's part. Her voice is again- so raw and just so perfect i CAN'T
Yes I'm a sucker for Raw voices.

Mere liye pyaar ka matlab ho tum! - Part 4
Radhe & Tamanna from Bandish Bandits
So, it's finally time to talk about the climax of season 2 episode 7 titled Bandish Bandits. The scene that had me so jazzed that it got me to watch this show in the first place. A scene that has been discussed endlessly in Youtube comments without any nuance.
But I have nothing but nuance, I have made three posts discussing the buildup to this scene and the state of Radhe & Tamanna's relationship before the competition starts. Now let's talk about the Jugalbandi moment in exhaustive detail.
First of all, Tamanna was completely dominating the song and the round. She was winning. It was so obvious to see how far she had come because she was going head to head with so many classically trained singers and coming on top. Especially considering how nervous Radhe makes her it was amazing to see her absolutely floor her performance.
But while Radhe is on the back foot for most of the performance it is his mother who is really helping him every time he seems to get lost watching Tamanna perform. On multiple occasions, his family brings his focus back to the rhythm of the song. If it was only Tamanna versus Radhe, Tamanna would wind this round but in a realistic assessment of pitting Royalty Free against Rathod Gharana, the Rathod Gharana would win because as a team they are able to overcome every challenge Tamanna presents and she is keeping everyone on their toes singlehandedly.
Secondly, it is amazing to see how starstruck Radhe is for most of the song. He did say he was Tamanna's biggest fan and he proved that till Tamanna starts singing Sajan Bin he has to be brought to attention at least twice and on top of that he is not only starstruck but very much lovestruck as well.
This is the point where we inspect the freaking lyrics of this song for having committed the crime of being blatant as fuck. The parts Tamanna sings are in purple while Radhe's parts are in blue. Any parts not in these two colours are primarily being sung by someone else (Mohini gets her own colour which is pink).
So, as I analyse this scene which I have watched too many goddamn times for my sanity I am coming to realise this song is very complicated with multiple singers and so many vocalizations that trying to get the lyrics down has been a struggle. The lyrics as they appear below are a gross simplification for the purpose of this post.
How to Feel Alive When My Soul is Dying Inside?
Baby, It’s A Darker Time
Baby, Come and Grab My Soul
My Heart is Quite Inside
I want you to be by my side.
Tamanna begins the song by directly singing to Radhe. Radhe meanwhile is busy being a fanboy.
Garaj Garajne Laga Yeh, Tarasta Mann Su mera, Ye Mann Su mera
Piya Ka Mann Aaj Raz Kholne Laga Re
[Vocalizations]
Na Jane Kaisi Yeh Bala Hai
Har Pal Teri Yadon Mein Jala Hai
Fir Bhi Nazar Na Tu Aa Aa Aa Aaye,
Kyun Sata Aa Aa Aaye
Na Jane Kaisi Yeh Bala Hai
Har Pal Teri Yadon Mein Jala Hai
Fir Bhi Nazar Na Tu Aa Aa Aa Aaye,
Kyun Sata Aa Aa Aa Aye
Radhe is still in fanboy mode.
Khali Sa Mann Yeh Mera, Aake Tu Dekh Zara
Tujhko Pukare Sunn Le Zara, Tu Ghar Aa
Tamanna is back to singing to Radhe. This time while standing directly in front of him.
Tu Ghar Aa mahi
I’m waiting for you.
O Bhatka Rahi
Maaahhiii
I’m waiting for you.
Tamanna is literally singing 'I'm waiting for you' standing in front of Radhe and I think at this point he starts to understand that she is singing for him.
[Vocalizations]
Sajan Tora Take Rasta, Ratiya Beeti Jaye
Haye Ratiya Beeti Jaye
Time for Radhe to play an Uno reverse card and sing to Tamanna this time.
Imma See the Light I’m Lost In Darkest Time
It’s Growing Up Inside
You’re the One to trap my soul
You’re the One who Will Revive
I want you to be by my side
The fact that Tamanna turns around to face Radhe when she starts singing 'You're the one to trap my soul' is so fucking poetic.
Don’t Wanna Lose You Now, You Know I’m Alone
The Pain Is Taking My Skin and Bones
You Gotta Come and Heal It
You Gotta Come And Steal The Pain
I’m Waiting For You
We already know she was thinking of Radhe the first time she sang these lyrics and now she is singing those words to him. At this point, Radhe is definitely lovestruck and this is when his band comes to the rescue.
Ho Kaali Si Ghata Chhaye
Umad Ghumad Har Kali Pe
Aaye Hain Jaise Bhanwar Bhanwar
Ab Kohra Kohra Chhaye Raha
Mohini trying to bolster Radhe.
Ho Kaali Si Ghata Chhaye
Umad Ghumad Har Kali Pe
Aaye Hain Jaise Bhanwar Bhanwar
Ab Kohra Kohra Chhaye Raha
Sajan Aaja
Tu Ghar Aa Mahi
Balam Aaja
Oo Bhatka Rahi
Sajan Aaja
Tu Ghar Aa Mahi
Again Tamanna is singing to Radhe and this time Mohini is definitely getting the hint. It is interesting to realise that these two are so hopelessly entangled yet Radhe's family has no idea about his relationship with Tamanna but at this point, Mohini is definitely realising that the Sajan Tamanna is singing of is Radhe. At this point, Radhe actually follows Tamanna into no man's land but he looses this particular round of jugalbandi.
I’m Waiting For You…
Oh, Waiting For You.
Oh, I’m Waiting For You.
Oh, How To Feel Alive? How To Feel Alive?
I’m Waiting For You, Waiting For You.
I’m Waiting For You.
Mohini to the rescue again...
Sajan Moray!
Sajan Moray!
Moray
Moray
Sajan
Sajan moray moray
Moray
Moray
Sajan
Sajan Moray
...but this time Tamanna is matching her beat for beat. I think Radhe is genuinely mindblown to see Tamanna sing with his mother. His brain can't comprehend seeing his two worlds collide this way. At this point, we get a shot of Rajendra and Devendra looking quite bewildered and frankly worried. I wonder if they think they are going to lose to Tamanna.
Sajan Bin Aaye
Sajan Bin Aaye Na
The point where Tamanna starts singing Sajan Bin has interspersed shots of Ayaan and Nandini Ma'am looking worried. I can't quite figure out why she chooses to sing Sajan Bin.
The emotion she has tapped into this whole song makes Sajan Bin a good choice for transitioning into but this song has so much history for the Bandish Bandits and I feel like at this point, things get really difficult to parse out.
Clearly, Tamanna is using her heart a little too much as she transitions into Sajan Bin. This entire song she has let go of the reins on her emotions, Tamanna has always told Radhe that she doesn't think they should be together but that is very much a logical choice, it is also the correct choice but correctness matters little in the fact of emotions and her emotional choice is very much to give in to Radhe.
I feel like at this point as Radhe slowly and steadily realises what Tamanna is trying to say to him via this song, he gets angry. He wants to be with Tamanna, it is Tamanna who is forcing this separation and I think at this point he starts to feel like it's unfair that she gets to sing with these emotions when the choice causing those emotions is her own, unlike his situation and that means that when he sings the next paragraph he goes all out. On second thought, that was a reach on my part and I feel like in this particular moment the simplest explanation is likely the truest. It was about his ego. Radhe's ego which uptil this point has proven disastrous on multiple occasions gets the better of him and he truly can't digest the idea of her being better than him.
Sajan Bin Aaye Na Mohe Nindiya
Rain Bhar Aaye Re Jage Ratiya
Kahe Tu Mohe Sajan Piya Re Dikhe Yeh Nazare Mane Na Apne Akhiyan
Sajan Bin Aaye
[Vocalizations]
I’m Waiting For You
[Vocalizations]
Tu Ghar Aa Mahi
[Vocalizations]
Mahi! Mahi!
[Vocalizations]
I’m Waiting I’m Waiting For You.
I’m Waiting For You.
Oh Ghar Aa Mahi!
This captivating performance ends with the crowd chanting Radhe! Radhe! It's literally Tamanna's worst nightmare come to life! The release of Phas Gaye (Sajan Bin) is what first started to erode Tamanna's self-confidence with every fan pitting Tamanna's musical talent against Radhe's and finding it lacking. And, this is just that on a much bigger platform and it hurts even more because she has worked so hard to get to where she is and she is still found lacking. The fact that Tamanna can rally herself so quickly that she can help her band win the next round is honestly astonishing considering the blow she was dealt but I guess she is in a much better place self-esteem-wise then she was at the end of season 1.
A lot of people in YouTube comments especially were talking about Tamanna going a little too far in singing 'Sajan Bin' and basically injuring Radhe's ego which given Radhe's personality isn't completely out of the realm of possibility. It is a distinct possibility that the idea of Tamanna surpassing him made his ego rear its ugly head. [So, the people in the YouTube comments were on the nose in this instance.]
But the question is - is Radhe wrong? No.
Is Tamanna wrong in blaming Radhe for exploiting a weakness he was intimately aware of? No.
But, she is wrong when she tells Radhe that he was lying when he said that he would happily lose to her because he would, he does. I don't think it is right of Tamanna to expect Radhe to lose to her without putting his best foot forward. I also believe that a lot of what she says in their conversation following this performance is more out of an emotional response than something she actually would have wanted. It also explains why she doesn't hold this against Radhe because I feel she realises that a hollow victory would be worse than defeat. But, given that she has quite literally lived her worst nightmare excuses her state of mind especially because Radhe does, he realises that what happened has been extremely distressing to Tamanna to the point that he has a hard time focusing on his conversation with Ananya.
Also, I saw a braindead opinion talking about how Tamanna disrespected Mohini. She didn't and that is very evident given how Mohini praises Tamanna's performance when the round ends. When she hugs Tamanna, Radhe is again thrown for a loop because I feel like he is literally seeing a dream come true. His mother embraces Tamanna something I don't think he ever gave himself hope to ever see become reality.
In hindsight, I am glad I decided to split these posts up because it would have been impossible to talk so much in-depth in just one post.
My conclusions will have to be in Part 5.
Part One I Part Two I Part Three I Part Four I Conclusion

Dream Girl Film Review
By Neha Bora
Want to know about the Film Review Dream Girl ? Dream Girl’ is the story of Karamveer, a man who possesses the ability to sound like a sweet voiced woman. So, when he is down with debt, and gets an opportunity to work in a special call centre that caters to needs of lonely(read desperate) men and also women looking for company he strikes golden, and becomes Pooja. Pooja is great at conversation and quickly becomes popular with the customers. Eventually, the clients fall in lovewith Pooja. But, soon, the lives of his many lovers (including his own father and fiancée’s brother) begin to interest and a commotion follows.
Let’s begin with the statement that Bollywood’s comedies are usually insulting to the common sense of the average person. This is also because comedy is difficult to understand as a genre in any form of art. So, Bollywood and as a result its regular audience feels that being funny is equivalent to being insulting towards anyone less powerful. Bollywood therefore generates what we generally call ‘leave-your-brains-at-home’ comedy.
But, it feels great to be part of the audience that gets to witness cinema changing in a way that a man responsible for the comedy in films like ‘Jabariya Jodi’ and stars like ‘Sudesh Lahiri’ are also writing comedies like ‘Dream Girl’. The film isn’t free from the stereotypes and insults or from the masculine narration that we have seen in Raaj Shaandilyaa so far but it is better comedy.
Dialogues like the two-pronged ‘Karam hi Pooja hai’ or the Pooja azaan nikli’ generated massive laughter and not the kind where some might feel uncomfortable. There are some really smart one-liners that enable the audience to laugh at itself in good humor.
There are surprising tributes like Anu Kapoor dressing like and alluding to the Rahul of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, or ‘Baby Doll’ or ‘Oh La La, Oh La La’ being played in the background (both Balaji Films Productions). All of these allusions are fun to spot and don’t take away from the narrative.
The film starts creating humor out of the ever-present ‘Band’ outside Karam’s house playing out popular tunes according to the moods of the characters, somewhat like ‘Maya Memsaab’, but the film forgets about it half-way and I feel, losses an opportunity.
The Meet Bros and Abhishek Arora give us an average albumwith party songs like Jonita Gandhi and Nakash Aziz’s ‘Dil Ka Telephone’ and ‘Radhe Radhe’ by Meet Bros.
Also, thank you for not giving us an ‘item song’. ‘Dhagala Lagali’ is a high energy ‘promotional song’ and is supposed to be a replacement for the ‘Punjabi Rap’ that is the trend in Bollywood’s present times.
THE STORY is new and fresh on the surface but, the age old tale of a man going about his life in the world of other men in essence. But, yes, the story is well told! Stories and ideas and music, etc together make a film and to recognize this fact in Bollywood, where gods are made out of celebrities, is worth noting.
Ayushmann Khurrana seems to believe in the medium of the story, the role of the director, the power of an idea, and has time and again shown an artist’s courage of being part of films that were a risk and for that alone he deserves a mention.
He is wonderful in the film, and while several actors like Ritesh Deshmukh and Govinda have been cross dressers in films before, Ayushmann Khurrana’s character isn’t a cross-dresser, nor does the film explore this idea or the idea of sexuality (despite Nidhi Bisht’s character also falling for Pooja), he is just a man with the ability to sound like a woman and he is entertaining in every bit of it. Anu Kapoor(Karam’sfather and Pooja’s lover) is extremely funny throughout the film, Vijay Raaz (lover no. 1) is extremely entertaining with his ‘shayari’ but his character tries to generate humor with the stereotypical idea of the ‘afflicted husband’. Nidhi Bisht (lover no. 2) could have been very funny instead of being very loud has a comic character been written for her.
Manjot Singh gives an effortlessly funny performance. Raj Bhansali (lover no.3) and Abhishek Banerjee (lover no. 4) are a delight to watch. Nushrat Barucha’s Mahi does nothing for the film because somehow women aren’t comic characters in Bollywood. Hope you liked the film review dream girl. Filmi Files will bring more movie reviews this week so keep waiting.
Watch it with friends and family and have fun! You are most likely to laugh!

‘Dream Girl’ review: My Cherie a Moan
Both of us had our respective epiphanic moments during Dream Girl in a span of a few minutes of each other. Onscreen, Mahi Rajput (Nushrat Bharucha putting up a brave performance in a part that’s half-baked at best) hugs Karamveer Singh (Ayushmann Khurrana) and realizes it’s a festival that day, causing them to break into the Radhe Radhedance sequence. And during that performance, for the…

Jimmy Sheirgill describes himself as an actor sans the method and someone who consciously chose to walk away from the sticky mould of a chocolate boy.The actor says his takeaway from over a 20-year-long career is that he slides in and out of a role when he is out of the camera frame.”I wouldn’t call myself a method actor. Method acting is a deeper concept. You have to constantly be that character. You move like him, talk and behave like him till the time you’re shooting the film.”I can’t be living and breathing my characters all the time. That’s not been my learning. When there’s a break, you’re out of the costume. You’re out of the character. But when the shoot’s on, you do your job with sincerity and honesty”, Sheirgill told PTI in an interview.Jimmy Sheirgill, who started off with films such as Maachis, Mohabbattein, Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai and Dil Hai Tumhara, says he reconsidered his decision of taking up less prominent, meatier roles early in his career.”I knew I had to try out something’s else, that’s why I moved to films like Haasil, Munna Bhai MBBS, A Wednesday!, Yahaan, Tanu Weds Manu…”But at some point, when I started doing this I was a little insecure. Am I doing the right thing by switching tracks? But now looking back after 10-15 years, I’m glad I took that decision”.This year opened with a bang for Sheirgill as the terrifying-yet-calm upper caste influential man Bhagwan Das Mishra who relentlessly tries to sabotage the boxing career of Vineet Kumar Singh’s Shravan in Mukkabaaz. The actor says though he has done some grey characters in Eklavya and Sahib Biwi and Gangster, the reason why the audience lapped it up with both hands is because of its blatant nature.”It (Mukkabaaz) perhaps provided a pleasant shock. I had done negative roles in the past but not the in-your-face ones. It was great”, he says.Sheirgill latest release is Phamous, a drama set in the Chambal belt of Madhya Pradesh. He plays a simpleton Radhe Shyam in the film, which explores the themes of love, greed and leadership. The actor says director Karan Lalit Butani, who has worked as an assistant director to Tigmanshu Dhulia in Bullet Raja and Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster 2, has given an international treatment to the story which is loaded with memorable dialogues.”There used to be those Westerns Eastwood-Tarantino style of filmmaking. I think somewhere he was inspired by those films. I think that’s the big USP,” he adds. Also featuring Kay Kay Menon, Pankaj Tripathi, Jackie Shroff, Mahie Gill and Shriya Saran, Phamous was released on June 1. Sheirgill will also be seen in Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 and Happy Phir Bhaag Jayegi.Produced by PS Chhatwal and Prakash Bhatt, the film is scheduled to release this year. The Mid.day.com : 5th. ACTOR JIMMY SHEIRGILL SAYS HE CAN NOT LIVE AND BREATHE A CHARACTER ALL THE TIME : Jimmy Sheirgill describes himself as an actor sans the method and someone who consciously chose to walk away from the sticky mould of a chocolate boy.The actor says his takeaway from over a 20-year-long career is that he slides in and out of a role when he is out of the camera frame."I wouldn't call myself a method actor.

Crack Meta (aka Bandish Bandits Brainrot)
I find myself giggling over a gay ship in a straight show, again. Radhe/Mahi, you will never know the hold you have got me in.
The post is titled crack because this ship is never going to happen canonically, meta because the thoughts that go into it do make sense. Let me get on my agenda, okay?
Remember when Arghya gave Radhe (and us) his two cents about the people Radhe liked (consciously or subconsciously)? It makes me grin how well Mahi fits into that. Let’s break that down, shall we?
According to Arghya, Radhe’s type is:
• Musician
The leader and founder of Rage N Raga, plays Sitar like a pro, and has pretty good vocals. Hate him if you want but Mahi knows his stuff.
• Irresponsible
Changed lyrics of a revered Bandish to please rich people, berates the Gharana system like there’s some personal grudge (I’m 99% sure there is). Let go of a great vocalist when an important show was right around the corner.
• Probably Mother Issues
Since Ananya’s was more of a familial issue than mother issue, I’ll take that liberty for Mahi as well. Problem is, we know nothing about Mahi’s family (heck we don’t even know about Mahi! He’s a side character that appears for like 3 episodes!). Dipping fingers into the fandom power, we’re going to assume that he’s estranged from his family.
What I’m saying is that Mahi canonically fits in the ⅔ category of Radhe’s type. And I’ll take that and run to the fanfiction land.
tagging @fortuna-majoris because even though I know you have not watched the show, I think you will appreciate me yapping about the gays

Istg during the mentor thing in bandish bandits episode 6- when Royalty Free got this Mama Khan typa guy singer from Rajasthan and Rathor Gharana got the FUCKIN RAGE N RAGA, it could've gone so much better.
The bonding and understanding each other thing they showed with Royalty free and their mentor was SOO good.
And with Mahi? "Vo power nahi aa raha hai" and cut to Rajendra drinking and Arghya being like-" Cheers"
That's it?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT'S IT?
It could've gone SO much BETTER.
Like- the Gharana members, except for Radhe ofc, and in some things, Devendra- they could've shown Rajendra and Mohini kinda being like- surprised at the modern instruments- the electric guitar and bass etc etc.
they could've shown Mahi being good what he's the best at- making fusion music with them. They could've shown moments like- "nah this won't work" and Mahi being like-" trust me, it will." And it WORKED. BECAUSE HE'S MAHI
They could've added bonding between Mohini mum and Radhe- because let's face it- she was also deeply hurt by what radhe said to Rajendra
Also Radhe, apologise properly for god's sake, that was RUDE
Moments between other Rage N Raga (RnR at this point ) members- KCD and Hardik (rage N Raga's drummer) becoming good friends-
" Mahi bhai ye tabla aur drums ek saath bajata hai- "
"and he doesn't whine his way out of practice like you do, KCD, what do you think about joining our band?-"
"HEY, EXCUSE ME-"
And Kcd in question being like-"koi problem nahi Mahi bhaiya🥰"
"IM RIGHT HERE"
Everyone is impressed least to say.
Atharva (RnR's piano guy, the small one) and Ananya competing with each other
and maybe- that Math album= Ananya+Radhe+Rage N Raga
AHHHHHHHHH
They could've shown Mahi and Rajendra drinking together and Mahi going like- "I have no problem with this tactic. In fact, i had to do this myself sometimes as a new performer, but aap dekho apni family ka, unko problem hi sakti hai- afterall, isn't sangeet sacred for y'all?!"
Then boom, impact.
And also, Mahi explains the intricacies of an emotion. Just beyond theory, which he has very little idea about- name one emotion and he'll explain it to you in 8 different ways.
I'll add to it when I feel like-
@kuch-toh-garbad-hai-daya ily, she boosts my phaltu ke HC's everyone. It's a two way process. And she's cooking something MahixRadhe

This is such a bad photu, but that's Rage N Raga for ya
Oh yes, the hair flip. I'll go explaining the Rage N Raga members soon with my trusty friend @kuch-toh-garbad-hai-daya

Mere liye pyaar ka matlab ho tum! - Part 2
Radhe & Tamanna from Bandish Bandits
So after having had an existential crisis which basically consisted of me coming to the conclusion that Radhe and Tamanna might not be perfect for each other, I am devastated.
I might have to start agreeing with people who say that Ananya and Radhe are a better couple because whenever Radhe tries to be egoistical with her, she stands her ground and even manages to sway his opinion while Tamanna just collapses like a house of cards.
At this point, I need to recognise that the only reason Tamanna is unable to shield herself from Radhe's meanness is because she is very much in love with him. Early on in season one, she is much better about rolling with the punches but for most of season two, the self-confidence she has managed to build back seems to just wash away when she is faced with Radhe.
I also need to recognise the writers of this show because they are much more progressive than even I am and I love them for that. They are literally opening my eyes to my own blind spots.
Radhe's Ego
I think there can be no doubt of exactly how egoistical Radhe is. This theme isn't explored much in season one even though it's definitely a subtle undercurrent there but it really blows up in season two.
There are multiple moments in which Radhe has to walk back on bad decisions he makes because of his ego:
Rejecting Ananya
Not recognising Mahi's talent and how he could contribute to them pulling off Rock
His inability to handle the idea of his father as the lead singer
Every time he is taught a lesson. The show never lets Radhe get away with being egoistical except when it comes to Tamanna. This will be important for when we discuss that viral jugalbandi moment.
Hitchki
This all brings me to the moment that I can't get out of my head and the inspiration for this post that has now bled over into two three posts.
मेरे लिए प्यार का मतलब हो तुम।
I guess now we have to discuss Ayaan. What the show makes very clear is that Tamanna is using Ayaan as a distraction to get over Radhe. This isn't a great thing to do to another person but I sympathize with Tamanna. She is desperately in love with someone who is horrible for her self-esteem something that can be best illustrated by her own words-
खुद से बहुत भागने के बाद, आज खुद को पाया है। तुम साथ रहोगे तो शायद फिर खो जाऊँगी।
The first time she sleeps with Ayaan is after she meets Radhe for the first time since the Sangeet Samrat and he is very rude to her when she is just trying to be nice to him. He accuses her of not knowing what has been going on with him something we blatantly know is not true.
The second time is immediately after she confirms she will be attending the award function in which Bandish Bandits has been nominated for best original song and where she knows she will meet Radhe in what will be only their second meeting since the Sangeet Samrat after a disastrous first one.
The third time she goes looking for him is literally following her meeting Radhe again and being unable to sing in public with Radhe AGAIN.
She tells Ayaan she isn't looking for a serious relationship twice. Firstly, after their first time and secondly, on their third meeting when Ayaan confesses that he has feelings for Tamanna. After which they aren't together until they go shopping for Tamanna's mother's wedding and Ayaan says he is fine with a casual relationship, which they keep up till the IBC but in secret.
At this point, I get why Tamanna likes being with Ayaan because here is someone who is more in love with her than she is with him. She doesn't have to be stripped of all defences when facing Ayaan while Radhe always has her feeling rudderless.
She reveals that Ayaan and her are in a relationship to their bandmates immediately after Ayaan realises that Tamanna is still in love with Radhe which she seems to do more to prove to herself that she is over Radhe than to actually convince Ayaan.
At this point, Tamanna is definitely in bad decision land because she is making decisions to prove to herself that she is over Radhe when she very very much is still very hopeless when it comes to him. It's actually insane how much she loves him.
Because when Radhe finds her kissing Ayaan after their performances she is immediately filled with guilt even though she didn't do anything wrong. It's weird but Tamanna actually feels like she is cheating on Radhe when what she will actually end up doing is cheating on Ayaan.
This all leads to that scene. I mean the scene speaks for itself.
Tamanna again reiterates that she doesn't think they are right for each other and she moves to leave but Radhe pulls her in and kisses her but this isn't the kiss that damns her, it is the kiss that follows the one where she has to confront the fact that no matter what she tells everyone around her she is still in love with Radhe and with tears in her eyes she finally gives in to her emotions.
This all brings us to the most important question -
Does he love her?
Continued in Part 3!

You said you don't like Radhe with Ananya, but if he had to end up with someone, would you rather it be her or Tammana?
Neither. I'd rather Radhe be single and focus on making great music. Not every character has got to have a romantic arc and a love interest they end up with at the end of the show.
But if Radhe had to end up with someone, I'll have him be with Mahi because their chemistry is off the charts. Also because Mahi is my man, I need more of him in my life.

Soo trueeeee!!! I'll just have to break down into the psyche of every scene mahi was in. Then I'll be able to rest.
that scene in episode two…at falak’s birthday party…when rage n raga are posing for pictures and making the korean heart. and radhe who does not know about it snaps his fingers trying to copy their gesture.
and then mahi giggles at his cluelessness (not in an unkind manner AT ALL) and puts an arm around radhe’s shoulder and pulls him close…and explains the korean heart without being condescending about it.
that is soo cuteee and radhe’s smile and mahi’s laugh are precious and so is the fact that mahi doesn’t make radhe feel left out or dumb
tagging @fortuna-majoris again to witness my bullshit (i love them your honor)
#bandish bandits#bandish bandits season 2#desiblr#radhe/mahi#i cannot stretch how good of a character mahi is#he is definitely the best and fleshed out character introduced this season#radhe mahi scenes are the one of the best part about this season#radhe rathor#Mahi

I'm just reposting all mahi posts, ily. And yes. Gay agenda goo!!
But imagine more drama, as radhe realises that he's in LOVE which is NOT traditional. Imagine his dilemma, mohini catching his love sick phase. Imagine the staring at the sky and singing while comparing mahi to idk LIKE- mahi is the sajan, jiske bin aaye na more (radhe ko) nindiya?!?!?!
But i imagine radhe and mahi becoming friends after all this IBC etc etc. under one jam session under the stars radhe realises and/or catches feelings.
If radhe tells mahi what he feels in the future, mahi being like- "kitne time se wait karra tha pagle" AHHHHHHH
Why do I think this ship has sailing potentials, see- Radhe is handsome. Okay, very much so, he's lean and he's manly good looking. Mahi is also handsome but he leans more towards being pretty. I mean, just look at that guy in the series.
Doesn't it give the- handsome serious guy who has traditional troubles x cute UNserious guy who has never followed tradition!?!!?!?
I have more, but I'll write a thesis on this soon
You said you don't like Radhe with Ananya, but if he had to end up with someone, would you rather it be her or Tammana?
Neither. I'd rather Radhe be single and focus on making great music. Not every character has got to have a romantic arc and a love interest they end up with at the end of the show.
