The #fourcourtsfourmiler in Arlington was #coronacancelled this morning. But I went ahead and did the next best thing, a 4-mile #timetrial on the #fairfaxturkeytrot4miler course in my own neighborhood. I jogged down the neighborhood trail to the pool, where the race starts and finishes. After some dynamic stretches, I took off. Not too bad for a solo effort. I would have loved to take my new @hokaoneone #carbonx shoes out for a spin, but I’m still breaking them in and I went with the trusty @altrarunning #escalantes. Since Four Courts finishes at the pub the race is named after the typical post race beverage is served for all participants. I had to wait to mimic that part of the day, because I had to go into work. So now 9 hours later, I’m winding down with my @guinness Stout.
