Another training run with a medal in the books! . . I convinced @naomi_gal to sign up and run with me, even though the Leesburg 20k has all the ingredients that could spell disaster for a race 😂! It’s and out and back on the W&OD trail in August. I mean, enough said, right? But, let me tell ya, if anyone can take those ingredients and make an amazing race Commonwealth Race Management/Potomac River Running can! The Leesburg 20k is the prime example of great course planning and fantastic management! . . We drove out early, picked up our bibs, then hit the trail for 5 “warm up” miles... it really is a warm up for me as it’s not really a joke anymore that I don’t hit my stride in a run until we’re about 6-7 miles in. It’s just true. Magic robot legs are made for distance 😂. Then we crushed the 20k training run!
