I learned not too long ago that there is a being made/already made a Ronja Røverdatter series (sorry for the Danish spelling to all the Swedes😭), and boy did it just give me a flash back to all my childhood summers spend in Sweden, watching the translated version of the movie and book. Fucking love Astrid Lindgren!

And I will never forget these fucking bitches. "Hvorfor det? Hvorfor det? Hvorfor det? Hvorfor det?" (Why? Why? Why? Why?) Shut up and get eaten by a crow dammit!😭

But for real, I've seen some ratings from the new series, and they say its good. And when I save a clip and realized it was in Swedish, I was hyped!

Oh, the production values and the forest creatures look awesome.

I am a little skeptical as far as what appears to be an added plot focusing on the people the two robber clans, well, rob. But we'll see.

And of course the entire thing will be lacking the right music, but that's how it goes.

danish animation is actually surprisingly good! one in particular that I grew up with is "hjelp! jeg er en fisk" (help! I am a fish) I watched it over and over, and I remember when I was little I actually thought it was a disney movie omg😭 we have some good animation movies in norway too, but I feel like we are more focused on stop-motion, you know, with dolls. One of our more recent ones is "Folk og røvere i Kardemomme by" based on the childrens book with the same name😊

You are unlocking so many childhood memories right now, anon. I remember "Hjælp! Jeg er en fisk" and thought it was dreamworks! And to Folk og føvere i kardomme by, I had that book! Core memories, I mean it, you're unlocking so many memories

And I don't remember a lot of norwegian stuff on tv, though I remember SO MUCH SWEDISH TV- Curtesy of living so close by, but God, anon, nostalgia CITY
