synopsis ≫ lara asked her crush of two years out finally, and after dating for as long as they were, life got in the way and despite how badly they didn’t want to, they had to break up. it was a mutual decision, which made it hurt much worse than the average breakup.

lara and manon laid in bed that morning, whatever playlist they had on the previous night played through the walls of lara's dimly lit room. her room shined orange due to the sunrise of the early morning, manon cuddled herself closer to lara wrapping her arms around the redhead.

the indian girl pulled her brunettes head closer to her chest, "good morning beautiful" she softly whispered while her hands gently ran through her hair, "good morning" manon said, a small smile coming across her face.

the pair laid in a comfortable silence for a bit, their presence was enough for the both of them, a song lara had put on her playlist came on, 'Just the way you are'. lara reminced on why the song was even on here, it wasn't a playlist she just made, she had made it for manon.

manon only came over to her girlfriend's place because last night was hard for her, she didn't really know how else to deal with how she felt so she ran to her girlfriend because she always knows how to calm her, faster than what she could've done on her own.

the song really put them back in their old headspace, manon used to be really self concious about her birth mark, and lara with her ethnicity. it took lara a few years to accept herself along with her culture but manon personally couldn't do the same with her birthmark.

lara would always cups the girl's waist from behind and kiss her shoulder, right where it was and reminded the girl how beautiful she is. lara knew it would be a while before manon would begin actually taking it into consideration and actually loving herself - but she didn't mind because she loved her.

she was willing to stay by manon's side through the entire process because that was her girl and she would hate to lift her up just to leave.

the redhead hummed along to the song, while manon scooted up closer to her face to kiss her. "thank you for letting me stay last night", "of course, beautiful" - that was a nickname lara loved calling manon, it reminded the older everyday that she was perfect, really perfect. not only in lara's eyes but in general.

the younger sat up against her headboard and manon laid on her lap, it was a slow morning and they didn't have anything planned so they could really spend the whole day in bed. lara turned on manon's comfort movie/show and they watched it together while the redhead's hands rested on her side.

lara's cat jumped on her bed, resting in front of manon, giving the older enough space to pet her. the cat purred from manon’s soft touch, making the pair smile while they watched the movie.
