How Will You Market Your Skills To Clients?
Did you know that you can use traditional marketing principles to promote your VA services?
Yes. Make sure you take these principles into consideration when promoting, even online.
1) Product, Price, Promotion, and Place
Do you use the 4P’s of traditional marketing? You should!
Your Product is…?
If you’re a virtual professional, then your products will be your virtual services. My product is Facebook Ads management services. This is what I’m actively promoting.
Your Price should be..?
If you’re an expert, you should be paid handsomely. If you’re an intermediate or beginner, make sure to get acquainted with the industry’s standard salary. In my case, my hourly rate is $15 – 20 / hour. My monthly services package is valued at $350.
How to Promote? Read my previous blog article on this.
Place..?
Send your clients to your website, online portfolios, and social media accounts. These are online proofs of your skills.
2) Unique Selling Point
What differentiates you from others?
Can you create Facebook Ads?
Can you do smart research on target audiences?
Do you know Power Editor inside and out?
Can you read and analyze the Facebook Insights?
Can you use the Audience Insights to research your market?
Can you use 3rd party application like Qwaya or AdEspresso?
What is your key selling point? Focus and evaluate your skills first. Find your unique selling point.
3) Call To Action
You need a “Call Me For My Services” Call To Action online.
In traditional marketing, you do this by networking. You go to a seminar or convention and try to mingle with the attendees. Then some of these people – at some point— will approach you to talk about business.
And if this person is a new acquaintance, the usual scenario while talking is to exchange calling cards, right? Then you’ll have his contact information after, just in case you want to reach out for business in the future.
You do the same online. You should pave the pathway of communication between you and the client. Make it easier for them to contact and make business with you.
But how?
Start by completing your online profiles. Your profile and your portfolio are as good as clear calls to action to your potential clients. In your blog, make sure that there’s a contact form. If there are inquiries, your potential client can easily reach you through it.
Also, don’t forget to add all your social media accounts. I suggest you add your Facebook and Twitter accounts. Potential clients can easily message and tweet you if they have your account details.

[Book Review] 콰야의 오일파스텔 클래스 도서 리뷰 (Qwaya's OilPastel Class Book Review) . 안녕하세요. 이번 리뷰는 오일파스텔 책 입니다. 제가 잔나비라는 가수를 좋아하는데요. 그 앨범 커버를 그리신 작가분께서 집필하신 책 이더라고요. 오일파스텔로 작품 활동을 꾸준히 하시는 분인데, 이번에 쉽게 배울 ��� 있는 오일파스텔 책을 출판하셔서 리뷰하게 되었어요. 요즘은 오일파스텔 관련 서적을 많이 찾아볼 수 있잖아요? 그런데 콰야님의 책이 다른 책들과 조금 다른 점은 일상 또는 좋아하는 대상을 그릴 때 외형적으로 똑같고 사실적으로 묘사하기 보다는, 자유롭게 드로잉 하는 방법에 대해 이야기 한다는 점 이에요. 제가 보기에 콰야님은 대상을 바라보는 각기 다른 다양한 시선에 대해 환기시키는 의미로 접근을 하신 듯 했어요. 그래서 색을 다루는 방법이나 사물을 그리는 것에 무심한 듯 편안한 드로잉을 제안하시더라고요. ‘좋아하는 것을 그림으로 기록하는 재미’ 라는 문구를 보면 알 수 있듯이 행위 자체에 즐거움을 두고, 그 시간을 즐기는 것에 대해 말하고 있어요. 그리는 시간을 즐긴다는 건 정말 중요한 지점이죠. 책 내용 중 <여배우:다른계열의 색으로 그리기> 파트를 따라 해봤어요. 상반된 색을 조합해서 이미지를 강조하는 방법인데요. 콰야님은 붉은색과 초록색을 대비시켜서 그리셨더라고요. 저는 보라색과 노란색 계열을 선택해서 해봤어요. 어떤 색을 조합했을 때 어울릴지, 더 강조할 수 있을지 고민하면서 단계를 따라가 보았는데요. 이런 태도들은 나의 취향과 평소 자주 선택하는 색들에서 탈피하여 다른 느낌의 이미지를 찾는데 도움이 되는 것 같아요. 새로운 시도들은 겁도 나고 확신할 수 없는 마음에 조심스러워지지만 그림을 발전시키는 중요한 순간이라고 생각해요. 자기만의 색을 찾고 싶으신 분들이 읽어보시면 좋은 책인 것 같아요.^^ . 세상의 모든 그림_세모림. . “Atlieu was a young man when he had an experience with an eagle when he was 14 or 15 . He was out checking traps that belonged to is grandfather . He got to one traps , he seen a live otter as he put his bag down he reached for his club when he turned back to the trapped otter the otter transformed into an eagle.
“Atlieu had gotten ill from this experience went home to his family. He was quite sick for close to a year his family thought he would die. He'd talk about far away places, talk about medicine & sacred pools. It was believed that he had lost his soul to the eagle when he was out checking traps the day he seen the otter turn into an eagle.
“He frequently got to a tall spruce tree looking up at it. His grandfather didn't know why his grandson would do this. Then came a day atlieu climbed the tree while his grandfather was with him an eagle was sitting on top whistling like eagle's do. Atlieu reached the top & the eagle was telling him to walk out onto the branch & fly. He would hesitate as he was far above the ground.
“But he did find the courage to walk out on the tree branch. As he did he received a song & a rattle. It was at this time that he received his soul back from chiilthqwatan (eagle). From that day on he'd become one of the most powerful shaman of his tlaoquaht nation.
“This story comes from my family roots. We come from this roots of atlieu.”
