very rough sketch(might finish it later) but i adore this fic so muchhhhh

love the idea of shay literally never interacting with any creature on the balmera that has hair to braid but still being immediately good at it anyway

seeing both of adam and matt in rewrite fics and how their characters are fleshed out is always a treat!!

I wanted blue quintessence to be visualized more like water which is why it's so warped along with Renee's but also green to be more like vines but idk how to draw that tbh lol maybe I'll mess around with it later

Hope I didn't make Adam's seem to yellow I really wanted a fire effect since his is mostly red(not me spending so much time googling how to draw Matt's stupid armor only for it to be completely covered up by the quintessence effects THE STRUGGLE IS REAL)

based on the quintessence hc posts I love that he mirrors keith a lot with the not wanting to be a leader and having no black quintessence!!!!

@scattered-winter messing around with effects and I couldn't stop thinking about the quintessence headcannons for Renee!(might draw the others later)

(would it be possible for other paladins to have hints of quintessence in other lions or are they purely their own color so they can ONLY pilot that lion?? No idea how the lion swap is gonna work in quintenary stars or even if it's gonna happen but I love everything so far!!!)
