Not really. But, the playlist for my Regina x Janis story Just Let Me Try is Sarah McLachlan’s Fumbling Towards Ecstasy album.

55. do you have any abandoned WIP’s? What made you abandon them?

Yup. I have a couple of Pezberry stories that I just wasn’t feeling. And, I have one Quinntana piece that I stopped because it was becoming too complicated for me to finish at the time (it was a contemporary espionage story of sorts). If I returned to it, I wouldn’t write it as fanfic but as an original.

60. where is the most dangerous place that you’ve written fic?

In public haha. I was at a coffee shop, supposed to be working but whatever, and I wrote some rather dirty Quinntana content (it may have been one where Santana was fucking Quinn with a strap-on). The tables were fairly close together, and I just hoped that no one had wandering eyes.

1) I feel pretty/unpretty - it’s one of my favorite mashups on the show and probably my second favorite song behind come what may. i lovelovelove west side story and i feel pretty is one of my fav songs from childhood so it took a lot for glee to elevate the song into something so much more powerful and beautiful

2) lucky - fabrevans is my guilty pleasure ship haha. ppl don’t like them bc they look like ken and barbie but you can’t deny how cute this scene is. the whole performance makes my heart swell and burst (i had to google to make sure that saying was real and it’s actually comes from a fall out boy song, i’m so emo)

3) love song - it’s cute and i don’t find rachel’s voice annoying in this song. rachel usually overpowers other people singing, but i think all three of their voices are very beautiful together.

4) take my breath away - i love me some good quinntana. it’s not my fav song, but i don’t hate it. i won’t skip it if it comes on, but i’m not searching through my playlist for it. not to mention how much of a power move it is to take your first steps in months while singing at a school dance. i want to be able to reach that level of iconic one day

Ever since you posted that Quinntana playlist I’ve been listening to Cherry Blossoms on loop and sobbing at the Gay Yearning of it all, I know you mentioned it briefly in your playlist lore post but are there any more thoughts on it you wouldn’t mind sharing?

Glad you like it! That song was actually one that almost didn't make it.

So originally Cherry Blossoms was on my Brittana playlist because I thought, oh, gay yearning and soft vibes. But then listening to it more I thought, hmm, maybe I can do what I did with a handful of Pezberry songs and quietly transfer. It is very soft but in a way that I wanted Quinntana to "have" before I went back to some angstier songs. It's more open and vulnerable than we'd associate with Quinntana but I'd like to think that they'd get there, eventually. And even then lines like "Despite what your cold disposition wants to claim" feel So Quinntana™

On a more surface level, songs that reference red wine and/or Paris automatically have Quinntana vibes to me. Red wine because of the I Do of it all and Paris because of Naya and Dianna. To be clear, I'm not trying to blur the line between fiction and real life and Quinntana and Rivergron; I despise real-life shipping. But I also sort of adopted a French trip headcanon for Quinntana based on Naya and Dianna's real-life friendship because really, why not. And I can also get behind the cherry blossoms itself of it all, so all together those vibes just fit impeccably for me. And just this sense of equal companionship through the ages, Quinntana vibes all around.

But yeah it's kind of a funny one that started out as more of a Brittana song for me then on further listening evolved into a soft moment for Quinntana. Curious if you have further thoughts on it? Maybe you've now thought more about the song than I have haha.

hi can you tell me where i can watch the show with the couple that your url is based off of?

Hey! The show is called Amar A Muerte. It’s a Mexcian Telenovela. If you’re in the states, it’s a little hard to watch it and keep up but  not impossible. 

Watching the whole show (as in all the other plot lines) is next to impossible since the full versions of the episodes aren’t really out with good english subtitles. But fortunately there are two wonderful angels on youtube who upload all the episodes and clips and you can watch their plot line there. 

Zeroty posts the most HD versions of the scenes, and tends to include more of the content from the episodes. The English subtitles are also pretty good all the way through. However, you’ll find especially in the earlier ones, there are a LOT of videos blocked in your country. But I’ll tell you how to fix that in a second. 

All the Lilies Posts the scenes faster usually but they are not usually as HD. (Some of them are). However, the subtitles on this playlist tend to be pretty clunky until about half way through. 

Recently @upanditaazul on tumblr has been posting some of the scenes right after the episodes air with english subtitles as well. So hers are good if you’re impatient to keep up with the new stuff. 

VIDEO BLOCKED IN YOUR COUNTRY? you have two options. You can get a VPN which I’m terrible at and always find really complicated so I won’t pretend to be a good resource for that. OR you can head to Clip Converter and download the scene to your computer to watch. Sadly, this will mean you won’t have the subtitles. So it’s not ideal. But it’s something. There may be other video downloaders that allow you to download with subtitles but I’m still working on sorting out the details of that. 

 EDIT: @valenjuls says For the clips, that are blocked in your country, you can use Opera (web browser) and it has a built-in VPN. All you have to do is turn it on and you can watch the clips that are blocked.@daenrz says You can download the subtitles separately as well, using the site downsub. Copy paste the URL and then download it and to make it work (for those who don't know yet), make sure the file name of the audio and the srt file of the subtitle match and voila, you'd be able to watch the videos offline with subtitles.

BEFORE YOU START WATCHING Please remember a few things:

There’s a WILD plot line between the girl’s fathers involving reincarnation. Jacobo is actually Valentina’s dad’s soul trapped in Juliana’s dad’s body. But Juliana hasn’t seen him so she doesn’t know. And Valentina ha no idea it’s her dead dad’s soul. Juliana’s dad’s soul is in someone else’s body you’ll see later.

This is a telenovela. So it’s definitely a tad over the top. But it is supposed to be that way. Much like American soaps, telenovelas are dramatic, angsty, and exist to entertain. Be patient, and more importantly be respectful.

In light of that last bit, be respectful. If you’re an english speaking American, you’re a visitor here. Be aware of cultural differences when you discourse. Be aware of what these actors may or may not know about the American Television landscape, etc. The show, the cast, even the other fans in mexico do not owe you anything. Visit kindly.

I honestly didn’t know how people were going to respond, given what the story was about, but it was well received, someone actually created a fanmix playlist for the story. It’s one of my biggest fanfics on FF(.)net and I still get notifications about it five years later. New readers and all. I am SO fucking proud of that fic 😁 Quinntana 4 Life!
