olivia rodrigo songs the glee cast would've devoured
good 4 u - my top dog marley rose would've been sick at this. knowing ryan murphy he'd probably have tried to make it some ohio/new york duet with rachel NO. no ryan murphy listen to me marley would devour this with her teenage angst brain
traitor - ryan murphy is stupid pt2 he would definitely have made rachel sing this NO. blaine anderson would leave no crumbs on this song. kurt made eye contact with a guy and he is spiralling. darren criss i want nothing more in life than i want your vesion of this song
enough for you - would kinda fuck with tina cohen chang singing this icl
bad idea right? - please don't make mr schue rap this ryan murphy. tbh i can kind of see brittany doing this. kickass dance time backed up by the cheerios type shit
all american bitch - quinn fucking fabray did you even have to ask
lacy - you know as well as i do rachel would sing this and ryan murphy would call it heterosexual
pretty isn't pretty - obviously another homoerotic faberry duet. marley could do this as well, but tbh marley could do most of these songs without a problem because she's That Girl (read: angsty teenager)
vampire - mercedes would slay the house down. this is absolutely the kind of song she would've sung after her brief fling with puck, not because she cared that much but for the Plot
the grudge - santana. it would be about her abuela. somebody that i used to know style they'd turn a breakup song into a family-tragedy song and i would eat it UP
(there is no part 2 because these are the only olivia rodrigo songs i know! suck my dick ryan murphy)

Glee cast sings The Fame by Lady Gaga
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Made some threads on twitter, will post them here and talk about it endlessly since there’s no character limit here, I think
Just Dance feat. Colby O’Donis sung by Artie, Puck and Sam in “Prom Queen”
-I’m 70% confident Kevin mentioned they were going to sing this in a mash-up with Dj Got Us Fallin’ in Love, Puck and Sam’s country voices worked a lot in Friday so I think they would do something interesting with Just Dance, maybe not something everyone would like but I’m ver curious about it, no doubts Artie would slay the rapping.
LoveGame sung by Brittany and Quinn
-I can’t imagine a scene or episode where this could happen, maybe a cheerios practice in season 2, I thought about including Santana but I don’t think her voice would fit, I also ultimately wanted it to be a Fierce duet as their friendship was barely explored in glee.
Paparazzi sung by Rachel and Shelby in “Theatricality”
-I absolutely hate Poker Face gcv, it’s terrible, and the worse part: it’s sung by Lea and Idina, they are SO GOOD, and they would do such a good job, anyways, if they still wanted to do something slower and more broadway-y I think Paparazzi would be the fit, the song is very dramatic after all.
Poker Face sung by Santana Lopez
-editing this part, while I’d love a Tincedes duet, this song talks about having sex with men but thinking about woman, like, for real, she’s the one that has to sing this song, I feel dumb for not doing this earlier but oh well, plus, her voice would fit better in my opinion
I Like It Rough sung by Santana Lopez in “Laryngitis”
-I can totally picture her singing this to Puck in the glee club, he would be smirking since the song is mildly dirty which would make Mercedes jealous and therefore would give birth to The Boy is Mine, this would also be her first solo on the show so.
Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) sung by Quinn Fabray in season 2
-I believe she could’ve sung this after Sam broke up with her and started dating Santana, the song is very slow, kind of like a ballad so I think it would fit Quinn’s more softer voice.
Starstruck feat. Flo Rida & Space Cowboy sung by Artie and Brittany in “Blame It On the Alcohol”
-honestly I can’t exactly picture a scene where this could happen, maaaybe a karaoke sort of scene where both of them are singing? I don’t know, all I know is that Gaga in this song sounds a lot like Heather Morris to me.
Beautiful, Dirty, Rich sung by Sugar Motta
-this could take place later in season 3 or in season 4 if they created a storyline where Sugar could sing, while not being the best singer, Vanessa Lengies can sing, and if I’m being honest, beautiful, dirty and rich describes Sugar very well.
The Fame sung by Blaine Anderson with the Warblers in season 2
-one of the infinite season 2 Blaine solos, not the biggest fan of acapella music but the warblers do it decently and I can almost listen to the warblers doing some “ding-ding-dee” in replace of the guitar in the beginning of the song.
Money Honey sung by Brittany, Kitty, Marley, Sugar, Tina and Unique in “Naked”
-the original episode focuses a lot on Rachel and the glee boys, honestly I don’t even remember if Brittany or Marley have lines this episode, either way, Wannabe and I Love It are very good and fun numbers so I’d love to see them perform this, I’d specially like to see Sugar singing the line “That's M-O-N-E-why so sexy?”.
Boys Boys Boys sung by Kurt Hummel in late season 2
-Kurt is hot, that’s true, he’s attractive, and even if a lot of guys weren’t romantically or sexually attracted to him, all of them liked Kurt, and Kurt deserved a song to show how awesome he was, this is it, instead of singing “Boys, Boys, Boys, we love them” as in Kurt’s attraction towards men, it would be “Boys, Boys, Boys, we love them” as in all of the boys happy that the awesome Kurt is back, and of course Kurt would be the only one actually singing, that’s Kurt “I’m singing a duet with the most talented person in the club … myself” Hummel after all.
Paper Gangsta sung by Quinn, Rachel and Santana
-unlike the previous description which in normal size characters was 11 lines long, I have no idea where or how this would take place, all I say is: their voices fit the song, specially Quinn’s.
Brown Eyes sung by Mike Chang in season 4
-I actually wanted Tina to sing this as her ballads are very good, but re-reading the lyrics (as well as literally the title of the song) Mike would be the perfect choice lyrics wise, brown eyes being Tina’s insecurity is so random but it’s an characteristic of her that I like, we never got an answer on why they broke up, it’s something I wanted to know very bad cause they seemed to be a very understanding couple regarding problems, and on top of that, just give Mike songs, seriously his last song was in season 4 episode 8, he appears in 10 episodes after this and not even a line in a group number? C’mon.
Summerboy sung by Kitty and Marley in early season 4
-I can see Kitty wanting to perform with Marley because “they’re friends” (or both dating Puckerman’s in this weird timeline where Noah “I like moms” Puckerman dated a sophomore) anyway, she doesn’t like Marley yet, she just wants Jake back and a reason to call Marley obese or something.
Disco Heaven sung by Brittany, Mercedes and Santana in season 3
-In my original thread I wrote this as a sancedes duet in laryngitis, and… it doesn’t make a lot of sense, their voices would do a good job but lyric wise it doesn’t relate? Personally, throw Brittany in the mix as a Trouble Tones number and boom, maybe this could take place in an alternate Saturday night glee-ver where after Mr Schue ask why they chose this song over any other from the movie Brittany would say: “I chose this cause I want to go to disco Heaven when I die not disco inferno”.
Again Again sung by Marley Rose in season 5
-hey so this song is a bonus track from the album that is not featured in the playlist at the beginning, so in order to hear it you’ll need to access YouTube cause it’s also not on Spotify. Back to the song, this could take place when Marley is suspecting that Jake might be cheating on her, music could end with idk Unique and Kitty hugging her.
Retro, Dance, Freak sung by Harmony
-also a bonus track that’s actually featured in the fame monster album, okay so… this song is very boring… like really boring… the only reason I chose Harmony for this was because it kind of sounds like her, literally because this song is fucking boring and I can’t think of someone else that could sing this.
And that’s it, an entire album with 14 songs and 3 bonus tracks was covered, if you like it please share your opinion, if you didn’t please share as well, the next album will be The Fame Monster, that, due to the shorter numbers of songs it shouldn’t take long for me to post it, bye :)

my exes
(except they’re just people who i am no longer shifting for)
1. dylan kingwell
I was a massive ASOUE fan and quigley was my #1 throughout middle school. i scripted a dr where we would have a teen dream summer of our lives thing and we would be so cute and his fans would be obsessed with me
2. shay rudolph
happened around the same time as my dylan kingwell obsession but this time i was obsessed with the babysitter’s club. we were the same age and she was WAY cooler than me. i think i just wanted to be her
3. timothee chalamet
it was quarantine and i was just a 14 year old girl whose comfort watch was SNL. that and i had recently watched greta gerwig’s little women. i can’t even defend myself on this one because i still find him attractive to this day.
4. mcu peter parker
it was when all those marvel shows were coming out on disney+ and i was really into them. i was tony’s daughter of course and i scripted that i was smarter than both peter and my dad.
5. dash malloy
ngl i still wanna shift to dash & lily because i need a whirlwind romance like that. i also just love dash so much. misanthropic sarcastic boys are my kryptonite. i took over lily’s life but changed a few aspects so she wouldn’t be as cringe. also i am not doing that edgar storyline
6. quinn fabray
i had a glee dr. i am a gleek. i was the most talented member of the club and i got more solos than rachel berry. also santana had a crush on me. i slayed.
7. cho chang
i love cho. she’s my best friend and i just realized i could never shift to a dr where we’re dating. it would be weird. she’s my platonic soulmate not my romantic soulmate.
8. some guy who i had 2 conversations with but had a crush on in sophomore year
i wrote fanfiction about us. i wrote fanfiction about a real person. a real person that i knew in my life. he gave me a high five one time and that was the highlight of my week. i’m ashamed, okay. we all do dumb stuff.

Sebastian, Tina, Quinn
Hey bestie! Thank you for the ask!! These are three of my fave singers from the show!
My sebshine ☀️:
Tumblr media
Link to my Seb answers to the same ask! ✨
Tina C 🖤:
Tumblr media
Love this queen!
Favourite Solo: Hung Up
She absolutely slayed this number. She was phenomenal. It’s definitely one of the glee covers I actually listen to the most. Brilliant.
Least favourite solo: I follow rivers
It’s not her fault that I dislike this solo, but the scene that it’s paired with ruined it for me. She sounds lovely, but it’s just completely ruined by the heckling, and even when I’m listening to the soundtrack version I can’t help but think of the scene.
Favourite duet: Dog Days Are Over
Honourable mention to ‘Love’ because it’s so cute and she and Mike are goals, but DDAO is just so fun. She and Mercedes slayed, and honestly the song itself is such a bop.
Least favourite duet: N/A
I really like all of Tina’s duets!
Song they should’ve sung: Anything by Evanescence
Not to be basic or stereotypical but season 1-2 Tina would’ve been amazing for something of Evanescence, ‘Hello’ and ‘My immortal’ come to mind.
Queen Queer Quinn Fabray 🌈:
Tumblr media
Favourite solo: Never Can Say Goodbye
I have listened to this song twice, everyday, for the past two weeks. It’s just sooo good. She’s amazing. This is absolutely my favourite solos.
Least favourite solo: Papa Don’t Preach
I wouldn’t say this is my least fave in a bad way, it’s just the one I listen to the least, I even listen to “it’s a man’s, man’s world” more. It’s just okay!
Favourite duet: Just give me a reason
….okay, do I think Quinn and Puck were endgame material? No, I don’t, but do I think they have amazing vocal chemistry? Oh absolutely. This is so beautiful. Take my breath away is a very close second though.
Least favourite duet: I don’t want to know
This is the only Quinn duet I don’t listen too, so I’m just gonna have to say it’s my least fave. The others are all just too good.
A song they should’ve sung: Can’t Help Falling In Love With You - Elvis Presley
She has the right voice for this, and it would’ve been absolutely beautiful. Now I’m not sure who she’d sing this to in canon, maybe it could’ve been a prom song!
Thank you again, Lâl! 💛

Season 3, Episode 21- Nationals
(Written by: Allison Adler) (Directed by: Eric Stoltz)
Episode Rating: 9/10 national champions
Star of the episode: Will Schuester
Quote of the episode: “Plus my blanket and my pillow fell in the pool...disaster!” -Brittany Pierce & “I know, I’m sorry. I always go to the yelling place. I have rage.” -Santana Lopez
Best moment: the aftermath of the New Directions Nationals win (they’re all so happy 😊)
Song Rankings: (the best New Directions Nationals performance of the show)
1. Paradise by the Dashboard Lights - New Directions
(I love love this performance 🥰/ very fun, great vocals and choreography & they utilized a lot of different voices/ I love the separate boys and girls sections/ it’s probably my favorite New Directions group performance on the show)
2. It’s All Coming Back to Me Now - Rachel Berry with New Directions
(Rachel’s voice in this song is perfection/ such a powerful song and she nails it/ when Carmen Tibideaux arrives and Rachel starts getting even more into it yes A+)
3. Edge of Glory - The Troubletones, Quinn Fabray & Tina Cohen-Chang
(once again I love a good Troubletones performance/ the choreography and vocals are spot on/ New Directions stepped up their game for this competition, it’s such a good set list)
4. We Are the Champions - New Directions
(a strong, sentimental senior year performance/ the end of a Glee era/ gosh I love this season)
5. Tongue Tied - New Directions
(I adore this montage, it’s precious and they are all so happy/ everyone being accepted by the other students is so wholesome/ it makes me nostalgic/ and the Brittana kiss 😍)
6. Pinball Wizard - Unique Adams & Vocal Adrenaline
(Unique slays this song/ choreography wise it’s not as top notch as other Vocal Adrenaline performances but I like the use of the pinball machines)
7. Starships - Vocal Adrenaline
(better choreography but I was kinda bored 🤷‍♀️)
8. Starlight Express - The Portland Scale Blazers
(looked like it could have been a fun performance, we just didn’t see enough of it)

MAIN VERSE META 001.      PATROLLING.
Quinn’s not used to    actively trying    n o t     to be the center of attention ,    and it shows.     Patrolling was hard to get used to   ––   the first couple weeks of it ,   she was constantly getting recognized and questioned   :    what was head cheerleader Quinn Fabray doing lurking around so late at night ?    She passes it off with a signature Fabray smile ,   sickeningly sweet and blinding white.      Her official stance is that she’s running a    babysitting business    in Lima    ––    but unfortunately for her ,   people believe her enough to take her up on it.
The first of her friends to ever get   remotely   involved in patrols is the first friend to sniff out her heap of lies.    Tina Cohen Chang had been left waiting in the graveyard as the cruel butt of some    dumb dare ,   and stumbles in to Quinn.    As Quinn flounders for an excuse ,    a vampire corners the both of them  ,   and Tina watches Quinn slay it.    Despite Quinn’s best efforts to get Tina to   stay out of it ,    Tina weasels her way in to Quinn’s world ,   helping her research in the McKinley library ,   and sometimes takes on Quinn’s babysitting gigs when she’s   ‘ double-booked. ’

Stand Tall
Tagging: Quinn Fabray, Madison & Mason McCarthy When: Monday, June 19th, 2017 Where: Madison & Quinn’s Dorm Room What: Mason spills all after the Neversink disaster, and they discuss where to go next. Warnings: Discussions of death.
Once Mason finished his movie night with Marley and saw her safely back outside, he knew he had one more important stop to make. His mind was calmer and he felt a little less like he was going to vibrate out of his skin, which meant that he could probably talk to the girls about what had happened the day before. He didn't bother texting in advance of his coming - he'd get both of them or one of them or none of them, and he was fine with any of the above. He only stopped by his room to retrieve Sabia from his Book, and then he was knocking on Madison's and Quinn's door.
The knock didn’t quite break through the music filtering through Quinn’s earbuds, but Jenna’s barking did. Quinn shushed her quickly, glancing from the door to Madison and back again. It had been a relatively quiet evening. But even through the relaxed atmosphere, Quinn could feel a subtle tension in the air. It tightened in her shoulders, the kind of feeling that would only ease once she knew for sure that everything and everyone was alright. She pushed herself off the bed, pushing Jenna back and ordering her to sit before opening their dorm room door. Quinn had never been happier to see Mason McCarthy standing on her doorstep. He looked the same, alive and whole and so him. The tension released in a puff of air, and she couldn’t have stopped herself from wrapping her arms around him if she’d tried. She didn’t, pulling him into a tight hug with a quiet “Mase, thank Aether you’re okay” that wasn’t really directed at anyone, but had to be said. She didn’t let the moment stretch on, ending it after only a short moment before stepping aside to let him get to Madison.
Madison looked up from her sketching as soon as there was a knock on the door, and slid the book off of her lap when she knew it was Mason. Her movement stalled with a stuttered step and widened eyes when Quinn hugged him, and for a second Madison wasn't sure which of them her brother was actually here to see. She hadn't gotten a text from him. She'd barely heard anything about what happened beyond the scattered whispers around campus that something horrible had transpired on the trip to Neversink. Madison's eyes searched for Mason's, as though she could read from him exactly what he was here to say. "So ... you're back? How was everything?"
Mason grinned as Quinn opened the door, and it shifted into honest surprise as Quinn hugged him. Hugged him! He wrapped his arms around her tightly in return, smile buried against her shoulder. "'Course I am," Mason said. "I told you I would be, didn't I?" Mason smiled again, just for Quinn, then stepped in and closed the door behind him. Sabia had already bounded over to Jenna and they were barking excitedly with each other. "I'm back," he answered Madison, his smile becoming a little sheepish. He moved to her to tug her to her feet, giving her a tight hug too - she would know, better than anyone else, how he was actually feeling, which was someplace between nervous and relieved and confused and very, very tired. He kissed her forehead, then looked back at Quinn. "Don't go," he said preemptively, "'cause I actually want to talk to both of you." With that, he plopped at Quinn's desk, equidistant between the two of them, his girls. "Everything was....I mean, it was like, 80% exactly as advertised."
Quinn was already hovering between gathering her things and leaving, and taking a seat at her desk and refusing to leave when Mason told her to stay. There was something untouchable about the twins, this unbreakable connection that was both touching and nauseating to watch. If they needed time together, Quinn wouldn’t hesitate to grant it. It was enough for her to know that Mason was home safely. She’d wondered, after his initial Tumblr update, if this is what it would always feel like, when he left on a mission. The feeling wasn’t unfamiliar, not anymore, and not always because of Mason. His words made her decision for her, and she sat primly on the edge of her bed, watching Sabia and Jenna until Mason was situated at her desk. Her lips quirked in a half-smile, “And 20% this world has some insane vendetta against us NYADA kids?”
Madison let herself be hugged, and in the moment of contact, as Mason's arms circled her, she sank into the touch; any ire that she might have felt towards him melted away easily, replaced by a worry tugging at her gut that she hadn't allowed herself to feel while he was gone. She sat back on her bed, with her sketchbook shoved aside and attention focused razor sharp on her brother. There was an unease in the way he sat and spoke, a weariness in his eyes that was easier to read than normal. "What ... exactly happened?" she asked quietly. "I heard there was something ... weird. Some people said a prank got out of hand and some people said that some of the CCB guys went missing, but all the stories I've heard around here haven't really matched up."
Mason chuckled some. "Sure seems like that," he agreed, shaking his head fondly. "Honestly, I don't totally understand all of what happened. It..." this would be the hardest part, so he decided to start there. "It reminded me a little bit of Samhain. Something bad trying to summon or call or wake up something worse." Sabia moved from where she'd given up on defending against Jenna's playing to him, moving to sit between Mason's legs. He scratched behind her ears, and her tail thumped gently. Reassuringly. "There were Fae, who wanted to...summon someone. Something. A 'Father', I guess to go against the 'Earth Mother'? Marley...she didn't know anything about Fae like that." Mason sighed. "These guys, these Fae, they were snatching Copper Copper Boron brothers, but nobody knew, or took it seriously, I guess, until...I found these gnarly roots and I showed Marley and she--they were angry, like way angrier than roots and trees and naturey things are supposed to be, y'know? It literally--like, it hurt her. That's how angry these roots were. So, Marley being Marley, went to investigate, by herself..." Mason rolled his eyes, but fondly, "and then she...didn't come back. So we went to find her, hence my super ominous post, and we found these creepy fae-people who...basically wanted human sacrifices." Mason shook his head, leaning down to accept Sabia's comforting nose nudge. "So we got them out. And came home. And I'm really, really fine, and no, I didn't--" he looked at Madison, "I didn't slay anybody. They actually sort of slayed themselves." Mason looked back at Quinn. "I'm really sorry for scaring you."
Quinn sat quietly through the explanation, fingers tightening in the material of her comforter. It wasn’t surprising that something otherworldly had happened while they were away. It wasn’t even all that surprising that it could have been some kind of rogue Fae behind the disaster; although, human sacrifice seemed more than a little extreme. Quinn tried to think of Marley, destructive and deranged, and couldn’t quite conjure the image. She could only remember the look on her face when Quinn had tried to heal her a year earlier in Rome. “That’s…okay.” She managed, still turning the information over slowly. The McCarthy’s likely knew more of Fae than Quinn did, but she hadn’t known them to be particularly violent. Insane environmentalists? Yes, but nothing like what Mason had described. “It’s not your fault, Mason. I’m only happy that you managed to get yourself out of yet another potentially deadly situation. I…don’t think that I’ve heard of Fae’s performing human sacrifices.” She looked to Madison for confirmation.
Madison caught Quinn's eye, and shook her head. "Not really, no," she agreed, before pursing her lips in thought. Mason's explanation both made and didn't make sense. With Litha being near, the natural need for masculine energy seemed logical, as did the potential for things to go wrong the way they had back in October. Madison tried to ignore the way her stomach lurched when Mason so much as mentioned that incident, and she powered through the feeling to keep speaking, keeping her voice as steady as she could. "The monster that -- back on Samhain, like you said -- that thing wanted a human sacrifice, too. For blood magic. Do you -- they couldn't be related, could they?"
Mason shrugged helplessly. "Maybe. There's...a lot we don't know about Samhain still. She--this fae, she turned into a hugenormous thing, like megafae, and just...smushed one of the other fae." Mason clapped his hands together. "Just like that. If it was as simple as blood, that should've been enough, y'know? They shouldn't have needed the guys." Mason shook his head. "She said that the 'aether was ripe for summoning', because the guy, the Father, they were summoning...that he was dead." Mason dropped his gaze to Sabia, who let out a low whine in response and gnawed affectionately at Mason's fingers. It wasn't his fault. "We didn't beat them. The head honcho herself took out the one fighting us, and then she just...she just lost her freaking her mind and started flailing and screaming. And like, I was on distraction duty, but there's no way me going full-tilt scream at her was enough to--" Mason shook his head again. "I didn't get myself out of much of anything. She just--something killed her, and let us get away."
Quinn suppressed a shudder. The Aether was ripe for summoning. What did that mean? She thought of the mystical world they’d stepped into during the familiars workshop, and how easily Ripley had followed them out. She thought of amber eyes hovering in a forest bathed in red, and how things seemed to be getting worse instead of better. There were too many things that they didn’t know. All they ever seemed to get was more questions, and never any answers. Jenna finally gave up on staring at Sabia with her tail going a mile a minute, and padded over to Quinn, suddenly sober. “If they are related, there’s something much bigger than us going on here.” She scratched idly at Jenna’s ears, lost in thought. “I wouldn’t even know where to start researching.”
Madison looked between the two of them gravely. If even Quinn didn't know where to start, the lore had to be even more obscure than they'd thought -- or more dangerous, and Madison had been told in no uncertain terms that she was still just a child, who should trust the adults to take care of the serious threats. This wasn't supposed to be their fight. They weren't supposed to do anything -- and yet, people kept getting hurt. Marley had been hurt. Mason could have gotten hurt. Who knew who else had been hurt, before Mason had taken matters into his own hands? "Did you tell anyone else?" she asked. "Does anyone on campus staff know about this? Security? The Dean?"
Mason shook his head. "I didn't, yet. I...I thought about telling Mother." Mason admitted, flicking his eyes to Madison. "That if something else like it goes down, other Slayer teams won't be caught unprepared. I don't know what the CCB guys told or who they told it to, or even what they remember - that new guy, Finn, was like, when we were away and trying to get our bearings, he was like 'we're going home, bye', like not even a 'hey thanks for keeping me and my brothers from getting sacrificed'--" Mason cut himself off. Bitterness wouldn't get them anywhere, and they weren't in this for the gratitude. "Anyway, I don't know what they remember, they seemed pretty out of it. This wasn't a school-sponsored thing, yknow? I don't know if security will care what trouble we got into at Neversink, because that's pretty far out of their jurisdiction." Mason sighed and ran a hand through his hair, watching as Sabia moved away from him and onto Quinn's bed, nosing first at Jenna and then at Quinn's cheek. He smiled a little, in spite of himself. "I think...I think even if they're not related, something big is going on here. We wouldn't have had our memories wiped if Samhain wasn't big, and this is either a variant on a theme of Real Bad News, or...a wholly independent bad news thing. Either way..." Mason leaned back in his seat and ran a hand over his face. "You two are the smartest witches I know, and I trust you guys, and..." Mason idly toyed with his bracelet. "I wished you guys had been there almost as much as I was glad you were both safe and sound away from it." Mason let out a breath. "I don't know. I don't know if we'll ever get answers or if we should even ask those questions, but...Ben told me to let people help. You two, specifically, actually. So whatever--whatever help you gals think I need, we need, whatever that means...I'm open to."
Quinn smiled as Sabia nosed at her cheek, burying her fingers in soft fur and scratching lightly. Jenna gave a jealous huff before plopping at her feet, and Quinn almost laughed. She sobered quickly at Mason’s words, finding any levity difficult to hold onto. “I don’t know about you, but I want to ask the questions.” She started firmly. “Whether it’s one situation or many, I don’t…I don’t just sit back and let things happen without at least trying to figure it out. If we’re going to keep diving unknowingly into these awful situations, we need to be as prepared as we can be.” She looked to Mason, expression softening. “I don’t know what’s happening, but…we have a world full of information at our fingertips. We’ll start with what we know, and go from there. The library has shelves full of books on Fae, and…whatever happened in the forest, we’ll figure it out.”
"We will," Madison agreed. At least Mason still had confidence in her, and maybe Quinn did, too. That was something. That was two of her people who were, as far as she could tell, still her people. "Between Quinn's research and anything we can find out from talking to people who were either there, or who might know things about what we're dealing with -- and we have the bestiaries back at the compound, maybe? -- we have a lot of resources to work with. But most importantly..." She paused, hesitating, as she let go of the tension that she'd been carrying, and instead of asking more investigative questions, allowed the reality of Mason's experiences to sink in. He'd gone through all of that again, and he'd done it without her. He shouldn't have had to. "I'm just glad you're back and safe."
Mason smiled as Quinn spoke, and it only widened as Madison continued. The relief he felt almost took him by surprise - Madison was already knee deep in trouble of her own, and Quinn had been raised against making waves, but here they both were, for him. Mason took Madison's hand and threaded his fingers through it, accessing the amulet for a brief moment so she could understand how much it meant to him. "Thank you," Mason said softly, mostly looking at Quinn. She did not have the benefit of psychic link with him, but he hoped she understood his gratitude anyway. "This is cheesy," Mason warned, "but I think that--that whatever's happening doesn't stand a chance against us working together to figure it out. Which we will." Mason nodded, firmly. They would, because Quinn and Madison said so, and anything that they could agree on had to be the right thing to do. After a deep breath out and a brief moment of silence, Mason looked between them with a smile. "I missed you. Both of you. Please never let me go on a trip without you again. Or maybe just no more trips in general?"
Quinn smiled, arching an eyebrow before looking away. “You are cheesy.” But it felt nice to be on a lighter subject, despite all of the unanswered questions that they still had. Despite the fact that she still had no idea where she was going to start with her research, and she still had so much to do outside of…whatever was happening with all of the monsters. “I missed you, too.” She said instead, quiet, hyperaware of the fact that it wasn’t just them. Madison was in the room, as well, and Quinn was far too comfortable with a quiet, secretive friendship. “The next trip we take will be one that we plan entirely ourselves, with extensive research, and cleansing before hand.”
"Before, during, and after," Madison added with a soft, small laugh and a shake of her head. She was so glad for the way she and Mason could communicate with one another, for the sense of his safety and gratitude, and she squeezed his hand back with reassurance, a promise that she would do better by him in the future. "I don't know about either of you but between the twisted horrors of the forest and the endangered magical species overcrowding the campus after sneaking back with me, staying put sounds like a pretty good idea right now. And that way none of us have to miss each other too badly, either." She managed a smile, because she had to, to keep from getting too scared or worried in the wake of what had happened.
Mason smiled back, nodding - he liked the idea of the three of them spending time together, even if he was fairly confident it was a bit of a pipe dream. Quinn could barely handle him, let alone both of them, but that just made this tiny moment a little more special. "If you two planned something, there's no way even my bad luck could mess it up." Mason chuckled and leaned back in his seat, a little smile on his face. "Can we...I don't know. If any of us find anything out, can we clue each other in? And agree that if our investigation goes anywhere dangerous and/or stupid none of us go alone?"
Quinn nodded, offering a small smile. “Obviously. It’s…we’re doing this together, it’s implied that I’ll tell you.” She cast a glance at Madison, the only indication that her ‘you’ was general. For all that was happening, it felt good to know that there was something they work on together. Her research had been conducted primarily in the back corners of the library, pouring over subjects that only her family would truly understand. This was different. This was all of them, and…for once, Quinn didn’t mind the thought of a group subject. “If this goes anywhere remotely dangerous, we should all know, not just a couple of us. I don’t…I won’t lose either of you over any of this. If it’s too much, we’ll decide what to do together.” None of it was a question, not to Quinn.
"That sounds like a plan," Madison said, nodding confidently. "I think too many of us have tried to take dangerous matters into our own hands lately, and it's gotten a lot of us into pretty bad shape." She was speaking mostly for herself, of course, and how she'd roped Mason into way too many of her own bad ideas. Having a team sounded like a really good thing, though. A group was usually greater than the sum of its parts. She looked back to Mason again, trying not to frown too much at him. He was safe, after all. "You're staying, right?"
Mason was a good brother, and so he kept from mentioning that the 'many' of them rising dangerous things on their own had been, mostly, just her. "Staying like staying put? Absolutely," Mason assured her, squeezing her hand gently. "Staying in this room?" Mason glanced at Quinn and shrugged one shoulder. "I don't have anywhere else to be. Research can wait until morning." He didn't have anywhere else to be except his bed, asleep, and he was fairly certain that even with his sister as cover, Quinn would object to the idea of a sleepover. "I'll stay until you want me to go." Mason was addressing both of the girls, but he was still looking at Quinn; the words held extra meaning for her, for them, past the physicality of where he was located. She'd been worried - she'd hugged him, for the first time unprompted, and in front of Madison no less; he'd stay until she wanted him to leave.
At Madison’s question, Quinn turned her attention back to Sabia, scratching behind her ears gently. She listened, but it seemed like a question for the two of them. It wasn’t until there was a lull in the conversation that Quinn fully tuned back in, turning to find Mason looking only at her. Her hand stilled, still buried in fur, and she searched Mason’s expression carefully. It wouldn’t be the first time that she’d spent a late night with Mason McCarthy. It would, however, be the first time she’d spent a late night with the both of them. Even during her visit to The Compound, there had always been just Mason, or a buffer between the three of them. “You can stay as long as you’d like, Mason.” She finally offered, eyes not leaving Mason.
Satisfied with that answer, Madison scooted back onto her bed with a quiet, "Thanks." She hadn't forgotten about the things that Mason originally came here to talk about, of course. All the talk of other trips or future plans, all the relief that Madison felt at seeing Mason safe and sound didn't change the fact that there was something out there, regardless of whether it was a lot of little somethings or one big one. But she was confident that they'd figure it out and keep everyone safe. That was what they did.

10 years ago today we were introduced to a rag tag group of losers who, with a song in their hearts, were just looking for a place to belong as they made their way through high school in Nowhereville, Ohio. We met a young teacher trying to rediscover his passion for teaching. We came across your usual high school jocks and cheerleaders, we had our first run-in with a slightly scary, slightly crazy cheerleading coach, and we heard that iconic song for the first time closing out the episode.
Yes today marks 10 years since Glee’s pilot aired. How little we knew then the impact this show about a high school glee club that was littered with song and dance numbers that ran the gamut from top 40 pop to rap to classic rock to Broadway staples would have on our lives. And it’s not just our lives that it changed, it also changed the TV landscape… bringing musicals back to TV, opening up mainstream TV to LGBT issues, and raising awareness of issues from the value of arts education to texting and driving.
Let’s take a look at where the cast are now.
Dianna Agron – Quinn Fabray

Dianna became a household name as the Queen Bee head cheerleader Quinn Fabray with the seemingly picture perfect life… little did we know from that very first episode. Following her character’s high school graduation at the end of season 3, Dianna only appeared in a handful of episodes for the rest of Glee’s run. Since landing Glee, Dianna has had a number of film roles. They include The Hunters (2011), I Am Number Four (2011), The Family (2013), Zipper (2015), Bare (2015), and The Crash (2017). She also made her London theatre debut as Dahlia in the play McQueen in 2015. Dianna married Mumford & Sons’ Winston Marshall in 2016.
Chris Colfer – Kurt Hummel

Chris was a cherub-faced 19-year-old when Ryan Murphy created the role of Kurt Hummel for him and just like his character, Chris is not taking ‘no’ for an answer and forging his own career as a storyteller. Chris won a Golden Globe for best supporting actor for his portrayal of the fashion-forward countertenor in 2011. During the Glee 2011 hiatus, Chris wrote and starred in the film Struck by Lightning. Chris adapted the film’s script into a novel, which was published in November 2012. While working on the Struck and during breaks in the Glee Live! in Concert! tour through North America, the UK and Ireland, Chris was working on his draft for The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell, the first in his fantasy children’s series and earning him his first New York Times Bestseller’s list entry. The novel has spawned five sequels, two picture books and a couple of companion books, not to mention a number of other Bestseller’s list entries. It was announced last year that the first book was being adapted for film. Chris will not only serve as writer and executive producer, but will also make his directorial debut on the project. He also released his second Young Adult novel – Stranger than Fanfiction – in 2017. Although his writing has kept Chris largely busy since Glee wrapped, he has had a guest spot on Hot in Cleveland and guest starred in Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie.
Jane Lynch – Sue Sylvester

When Glee debuted 10 years ago, Jane Lynch was probably the best-known cast member. It’s hard to imagine anyone else in cheer coach and Will Schuester/Glee club antagonist Sue Sylvester. Jane had some of the best one-liners throughout the series, with many still littering social media today. From 2013, Jane has hosted NBC’s game show Hollywood Game Night (on which a number of her Glee castmates have appeared) for which she was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Host in 2018. That same year was also nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor for her role in The Marvelous Mrs Maisel. Jane executive produced and starred in the comedy web series Dropping the Soap, earning an Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series Emmy nomination for her performance. Her autobiography, Happy Accidents was published in 2011, and Jane returned to the stage, making her Broadway debut as Miss Hannigan for a limited engagement in 2013 in the Annie revivial and touring her cabaret show, See Jane Sing, which debuted in 2015.
Jayma Mays – Emma Pilsbury

Jayma played the germaphobe McKinley High guidance counselor, who always had a motivational leaflet on hand for any occasion. Her infatuation with Will Schuester provided her with much angst in the first few seasons, but her patience and long-suffering was finally rewarded, notwithstanding her runaway bride escapade. Jayma starred alongside Neil Patrick Harris in the two Smurf movies and had lead roles in the TV series The Millers (2013-2015) and Trial & Error (2017-2018). Jayma and husband Adam Campbell welcomed their son, Jude in August 2016.
Kevin McHale – Artie Abrams

Former boy band member, Kevin took on the role of wheelchair bound Artie Abrams. Since Glee wrapped in 2015, Kevin spent some time in the UK hosting the comedy panel show Virtually Famous for its first three seasons. On the music front, Kevin joined fellow Glee star Darren Criss in Katy Perry’s celeb-filled video for her 2011 hit “Last Friday Night “(T.G.I.F.)” and has recently my working on new solo work, with his song “Help Me Now” released at the end of March. Kevin can also be heard every Thursday with best friend and Glee co-star Jenna Ushkowitz on their podcast Showmance – part of the Ladygang Network, of which fellow co-star Becca Tobin is co-creator of.
Lea Michele – Rachel Berry

Lea starred as the Broadway-obsessed, New Directions-lead diva, Rachel Berry. Following Glee’s end, Lea joined Ryan Murphy’s new Fox comedy horror series, Scream Queens. Lea played Hester Ulrich for the show’s two seasons. In 2017 she starred as Valentina Barella in ABC’s ill-fated sitcom The Mayor, which despite positive critical acclaim, was cancelled after one season. Lea made her feature film debut in 2011’s New Year’s Eve. Lea has released two studio albums: Louder (2014) and Places (2017), and has recently teased work beginning on a new album. She promoted Places in 2017 with the mini tour An Intimate Evening with Lea Michele, which took her to nine cities in the US as well as Toronto, Canada and London, UK. She teamed up with fellow Glee-alum Darren Criss for the LM/DC Tour in 2018, which saw the pair perform across North America, the UK and Ireland. Lea has also penned two books: the New York Times Bestseller Brunette Ambition and You First: Journal Your Way to Your Best Life. Lea married president of clothing brand AYR, Zandy Reich earlier this year.
Cory Monteith – Finn Hudson

Cory played the lovable giant Finn Hudson, McKinley’s star quarterback who also slayed it on the drums and could nail any classic rock song. While working on Glee, Canadian native starred in Monte Carlo and Sisters & Brothers, both were released in 2011. Cory made no secret of his struggles with addiction, both before and during Glee. Cory was found dead in a Vancouver hotel in July 2013. His two films, All The Wrong Reasons and McCanick were released posthumously. The cast and crew paid tribute to both Cory and Finn in the season 5 episode, “The Quarterback”.

With a failed audition for Finn Hudson behind him, Darren Criss was cast as rival glee club Dalton Academy’s lead singer, Blaine Anderson, in season 2’s sixth episode, “Never Been Kissed”. Initially a short guest stint as a role model-type character for Kurt, the chemistry between Darren and Chris Colfer and the fan response to both Darren and his debut song “Teenage Dream” soon saw him join the regular cast. Darren made his Broadway debut in a three week stint as J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in January 2012. He went straight from Glee into rehearsals for Broadway’s Hedwig and the Angry Inch, taking the stage for 12-weeks in 2015. He reprised the role for the San Francisco and LA legs of the US tour in 2016. He has starred in the films Girl Most Likely (2012) and the upcoming WWII drama Midway. The film All You Ever Wished For, which was filmed straight after his first Hedwig run and received limited cinema release, will be available on DVD from next month. Darren teamed up with Ryan Murphy again as Andrew Cunanan in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, a role which won him a slew of awards in the past award season including the Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG for Best Actor in a Limited Series.
Darren’s first solo tour, Listen Up, played to sold out venues in Glee’s 2013 summer hiatus. He formed the band Computer Games with his brother Chuck last year. They released their debut EP Lost Boys Life and played a few concerts around the US and in Mexico. They are set to release some new tracks over the next few months. Darren released his second solo EP Homework at the end of 2017. He toured with co-star Lea Michele throughout 2018 as well as performed intimate solo sets in London and Sydney. Darren realised a long-held dream in 2015, with the launch of Elsie Fest – a Broadway and pop music festival. The festival has been held annually in New York City. Darren married long-time girlfriend Mia Swier earlier this year. They opened the piano bar Tramp Stamp Granny’s in LA last year.
