Quincy Keen!
Spooky Edition 👻🎃
[click for better quality]
They’re a mummy! I borrowed Clown’s October concept layout for this one since I liked them so much
I feel like I could’ve perhaps added some strands of color to the bandages, but I didn’t want to risk overcrowding the design with too much color. Overall, I think it turned out quite well! I think Quincy would like the look of candy corns. Small, striped triangles! And you can eat them! (Like a bag of beads) Fruity swirly pops and sour gummies would be their preferred candy to eat, though. And did I ever mention that some of the patches on their knees aren’t even bandaids? If you’re gonna put one sticky colored thing on you for healing reasons, why not more just for fun!
EDIT: cleaned up sketch below

Episode 1 Progress Update
According to timestamps it's been approximately 3 months since our last update. Embarrassing! This is why I'd never survive as a career social media person. Thankfully, the lack of updates isn't due to a lack of progress - we've been working on the game the whole time. There's just a bit of a story to tell there... you may have heard the phrase, "progress isn't always a straight line." It is a phrase that haunts the mind of every creative, but our contempt for it does not make it any less true.
This post is all good news, though! Keep reading for more details.
So, what happened?
As we said last update, after the demo we more or less jumped right into producing Episode 1. We had a clear vision of the common "beginning of story" pitfalls we were going to avoid, and our strategy for avoiding those. There was just one problem:
We spent so much energy avoiding them in our first pass of Episode 1 that we accidentally ended up ignoring what the story needed and recreating the issues we aimed to avoid.
Luckily, we had only wasted maybe a month or so on this version of the story. We knew it would cause delays, but we didn't want to write an update about it until we had a draft of Episode 1 that we trusted. An update that only reads "um... yeah we don't like it, we're going to do something else but we dunno what yet" doesn't exactly inspire confidence in a project, you know?
It is safe to say we have that better draft now. There are still many scenes to finish and editing passes to be done and bugs to quash, but this improved version of Episode 1 has made it through the uncertainty of development and I can say with confidence it is the version of Episode 1 you will receive.
Compared to the draft we burned, this one is much better suited to the twine medium. While certainly longer than our freakishly truncated first draft, the pacing is far more organic, allowing players more opportunities to play and make decisions as they are brought up to speed on the status quo of the setting and Quincy's place in the world at the outset. Though there is a lot of ground to cover, my hope is that it will be interesting in and of itself and not reek of "unskippable videogame tutorial."
With that out of the way, I'd like to address a question a few of you are probably thinking:
"Will these sort of draft rewrite delays be a common issue?"
Nope! We meant it when we said that our aim for future releases is smaller, frequent updates. The problem with Episode 1 is that it is a unique challenge to build and by nature cannot be a "small update."
There is no other point in the story (aside from perhaps the beginning of Act 2) that is going to be as fiddly as this. Episode 1 bears a lot of responsibilities that other episodes just won't. It has to be a hook for the main plot. It has to give readers enough information about the setting and how it works to understand said plot. It has to introduce a number of core characters. Toughest of all, it has to do these things competently enough that people who read it want to come back for Episode 2!
So, we kind of have no choice but to put in the extra time here. Them's the breaks!
In other news...
The delays on the writing end gave me more time to sure up the UIX and fix/pretty up some stuff I was originally going to let be. I won't detail everything I've done, but mobile users will be pleased to know there will be an adjustment slider for swipe sensitivity and all users will be pleased to know that the layout just generally breaks less in the coming version of the game. I've continued to implement user feedback and make navigation more intuitive where I can.
I've also prettied up some layout elements even though no one asked me to...
...and redrawn other utility art for the game. Look at this map! You can kind of tell what Vestur's landscape is supposed to be like now! You can hardly detect how much I struggled when deciding where the major rivers were!
As we continue to lick Episode 1 into shape, we hope to share more specific tidbits with you all. If all goes well, the phase of development where we can show teaser screenshots is right around the corner.
Thank you for your patience!

Cirice
[Quincy meets Mountain and subsequently gets bullied.] Below the cut.
The abbey's library is absolutely stunning.
He'd said as much when Brother Elijah brought him there after his interview, and, even now, nearly a month into his work, Quincy finds it just as magnificent and fantastical as the first time.
However...
"20 down, 6 letters, an old English word for church..."
Although Quincy loves the library, it's not the most lively place.
Clergy come and go, and some linger to study books about this or that, Quincy isn't sure what the primary focus of their research is, but much of it involves skimming through heavy resource books that are all written in some archaic language he cannot begin to understand.
Thankfully, the spines are labeled in English, or, at the very least, Latin.
A bell tolls, signifying midday, and the assembled clergy begin closing their books, setting them off to the side, shuffling their notes and gathering their belongings to leave.
Quincy nods to them as they depart, and receives small waves and warm smiles in response.
The siblings are always very respectful and polite, to the extent that it makes him a little nervous.
Despite having left the faith years ago, Quincy had grown up Christian, and is still struggling to unlearn the more "us or them" teachings his church had beaten into his head as a child and young teenager.
It is not an easy thing to do, and his mind often swirls with negative thoughts and feelings that he tries not to let color his opinions of the people around him, but he has to try.
Quincy stretches, then stands slowly, rolling up his sleeves.
"Right, let's get to it..."
Tidying up the library requires Quincy's full attention, having not fully acquainted himself with the layout, he can easily sort the books themselves by their DDCs but...
"Why are none of these shelves labeled??"
"Mn, I believe it's because the late Papa Emeritus III found the placards too plain, and thought that they 'detracted from the aesthetics'..." Brother Elijah had told him during lunch one afternoon, "Which is... funny, considering I do not think he spent much time actually in the library... at least not to utilize the resources there."
"What was he doing then??" Quincy had questioned, "Just sitting about?"
"Ah, no..." Brother Elijah trailed off, "Well, kind of. He was fond of... roleplay so to speak."
Quincy is still not entirely sure what he meant by that.
What kind of so-called "roleplay" could you even do in a library??
He'd tried to ask Brother Elijah exactly that, but the older man waved him off, saying it was better if he didn't know.
The same day, whilst cleaning, Quincy found a desk towards the back of the library, out of view, with... decidedly nail shaped indentations on the surface, as if someone had been gripping it tightly.
He's still not sure what to do with this information, nor certain how or why he thinks it's connected to the dead guy's... roleplay.
Returning to the present, Quincy finds himself on the second floor, a single book remaining in his hands; It's old and worn, and the sticker label marking where it belongs has long since faded beyond his ability to read.
He flips it open, examining cover to cover trying to find some marker or indication of where it belongs, but everything written inside -and indeed it is written, handwritten in a brownish ink- is in an illegible cursive scrawl.
If he didn't know better, he'd think he accidentally snatched up one of the siblings' notebooks, but the book was simply too old for that to be the case.
The paper, the bindings...
It's a very old tome indeed.
Another bell tolls.
"I'll figure this out later." he tells himself, descending the staircase and depositing the book at the front desk beside his crossword puzzle, grabbing his bag and departing from the library... only to find the hallways packed with clergy members and much chatter.
Quincy hops to see over the crowd, but he can barely see passed the wall of people.
"What's going on?" he asks, tapping the shoulder of a nearby sibling.
"The ghouls have returned!" they announce excitedly, "They're finally back!"
"The what now?"
"The ghouls!"
Quincy blinks, "That... clears up absolutely nothing."
"The ghouls are high ranking members of the church." a now familiar voice explains, "They're essentially celebrities here."
Quincy tilts his head up in the crowd, making eye contact with Brother Elijah.
"So they're kind of like... the 'popular kids' here then?"
Brother Elijah chuckles, "Mn, not quite. They do have a rather large following, but that's only natural, they are musicians after all, and everyone gets at least a little excited to see their favorite ones."
Quincy hops to see over the crowd again, catching a glimpse of... well, more tops of heads, and one face towering above the assembled clergy.
He makes the briefest of eye contact with the man; He's lean and tall, with a narrow face and long brown hair, and when he locks eyes with Quincy, it may be his imagination, but there's the slightest hint of...
...Anger?
Quincy shivers, grateful, suddenly, for the wall of people between them.
He's certain the other had scowled upon seeing him.
It could just be nerves, or his mind playing tricks on him and seeing hostility where there is none, but he doesn't try to jump up to confirm ether theory.
"Are you alright?" Brother Elijah asks, peering down at him worriedly.
"Ah, just... wondering when the crowd will clear up." he says, waving off the other's concerns, "I wanted to go eat my lunch."
"If you say so." he hums, "Here, I'll clear a path. Stick close."
With that, Brother Elijah begins pushing his way through the crowd, and Quincy grabs the band around his cassock to keep them tethered together so he doesn't get lost.
It doesn't take long before they've popped free into the main corridor, taking the opposite path from the... the ghouls?
"Why are they called ghouls?" Quincy asks, letting go of Brother Elijah's belt, "Is that, like, a status thing?"
"In a sense, yes." he says, smoothing his uniform, "It's hard to explain, and I'm not entirely sure how much I can tell you about that, honestly."
"It's another one of those, 'You have to be in the know.' kind of deals, yeah?"
He nods.
"It's better if, for now, you just make yourself aware of their presence and avoid them when you can." he goes on to say, "They're not bad people, nor particularly dangerous, but they can be a bit... much."
"You forget I used to work in a bar, Brother." Quincy points out, "I've likely dealt with similar or even worse."
"Still... I think it would be better if you didn't involve yourself with them more than you have to." the other states, his brow furrowed.
He seems genuinely worried about the idea of him interacting with the ghouls, but that just makes Quincy... curious.
However.
"Mn, I probably won't see them, so it's fine." he says, "One of them, the really tall one, gave me a look and, frankly, I don't want to find out what it means."
"Ahh, that would be Mountain... He's a fairly easygoing person, but he is rather... abrasive at first."
"His name is... Mountain?"
"Yes. Actually, all of them have sort of... nicknames?"
"I se-" Quincy's stomach growls loudly, cutting himself off.
Brother Elijah smiles.
"Come on, let's get some food in you."
.
.
.
Returning to the library after lunch -mostly simple, easy to eat snacks like fruit or cheese for Quincy, and a sandwich from the kitchen for Brother Elijah- Quincy settles back behind the front desk, pulling out the book from earlier and tries to glean any new information from it that he can.
The letters seem to swirl on the pages nonsensically at first, but the longer he focuses on them, the more recognizable the shapes become.
He can tell which are meant to be lowercase 'q's, 'p's, 'g's, and 'y's now at the very least.
But none of the words are familiar to him.
He sets the book down again, taking out his crossword again.
"13 across, 7 letters, a rumbling during a storm..."
"Thunder." a low voice booms, "...do you always do puzzles while working?"
Quincy startles, almost falling out of his chair, but a long arm reaches across the desk, grabbing the back of it.
"You should be careful."
Quincy's eyes widen.
It's... It's the man from before.
It's Mountain.
"I-I... I'm sorry?"
"You need not apologize to me." the tall man sighs, "But, really, you should pay more attention to your surroundings, how could you not hear me come in?"
Quincy squirms in his seat, he feels like a little kid caught doing something wrong.
"I... I was distracted."
"Yes, by your puzzle." he states coolly, gesturing at the paper, now spread out across the floor behind the desk, dropped in his fright.
"I'm sorry." he apologizes again, "I-I... were you trying to get my attention? I'm sorry..."
Mountain frowns, righting the chair and pulling Quincy back towards the desk in one fluid motion.
Why is he so strong??
Why is he so... fucking tall??
Quincy gulps.
"I just wanted to say hello, but you seemed to be off in your own little world, so I thought I might snap you back to reality before someone more important found you goofing off on the job." he chastises, clicking his teeth for emphasis, "You haven't been here nearly long enough to get away with this sort of thing, so you have to be careful, yes?"
Quincy nods quickly, "Yes, Sir."
Mountain's face contorts more, if possible, becoming even more annoyed.
"Don't call me 'sir'."
"What... what should I call you then?" he asks, side-eyeing the massive hand still latched to the back of the chair.
"Mountain."
"Mountain... I'm..."
"Quincy Byrne." Mountain drawls, tilting his nametag upwards with a single, large finger from his free hand, "I want us to be friends, so, be careful not to get yourself into trouble, alright?"
Friends?
He-
With that, Mountain releases him, standing to his full height, and ascends the stairs to the second floor, leaving Quincy to babble uselessly.
"What."
What was that?!
Despite Mountain having righted his chair before leaving him, Quincy still bails out onto the floor with a loud crash.
"Ow..."
"...Are you alright?" Mountain calls from the upstairs railing.
"Y-Yeah, I'm great."
Quincy sits on the floor for a moment, trying to regain his composure.
What even...
Grabbing his paper from the floor, Quincy goes to stand, bumping his head on the underside of the desk.
Thud.
A loud sigh echoes through the silence of the library.
Oi.
"Be quiet down there, some of us are actually trying to get work done."
Quincy bristles, "I-"
"Shhhh-"
Did he just shush him???
Ugh...
Quincy picks up his chair and sits back down, about to toss his paper in the bin, when...
"Oh, 20 down..."
"Cirice." Mountain says from somewhere above, "And do learn to read in your head."
Quincy bites his tongue to keep from screaming.

I just woke up from a dream that I was working on a new print for my artist's alley. It was best described as a fake cover for a Pokémon game, only it featured the main cast of Dracula drawn in the style of the animated show. The general layout was something like this:
(Image ID: A quick sketch of a fake Pokémon game. A crescent moon frames sliver portraits of Mina, Jonathan, Van Helsing, Quincy, and Dr. Seward. Everyone but Dr. Seward has an indistinct pokémon with them, and everyone but Jonathan is holding a pokéball, because I did this sketch in ten minutes and straight-up forgot)
Only in the dream, it wasn't a rough sketch and I hadn't run out of room to draw Arthur. I was debating what to draw as the title, and had more or less settled on "Pokémon Blood", which raised the question, what would the accompanying game where you can catch the other pokémon from that generation be called.
I was considering "Pokémon Bone" when I went to check on my breakfast, because in the dream I had a gas range instead of a dresser and I was wondering why I bothered to put a stove in my room since I didn't have a pot to put the bacon grease in. That's when I woke up. Putting a stove in my room is fucking stupid but I think I'm onto something with Pokémon Blood.
Dracula fans, Pokémon fans, assuming this was well executed, would this be something you'd like to see in an artists' alley?
[edit:] I also woke up muttering, "Famous white-haired anime boy, our good friend Jonathan Harker." if that's anything.

Hello dear Thank you very much for writing my request about otogawa furuoki x Lieutenant reader, just wondering if you could write part 2 about them. I read the post every day because it is really wonderful. It has become a part of my daily life 😅
Only if you want to write part 2, but if you don't want to, that's okay, I understand you!!!
Hi! Of course i can! I am glad you enjoyed it!
I just hope i can live up to expectation !! Not quite a part 2 i guess? but more HC for sure XD
Thank you for requesting!
Link to the first part here!
TW: I guess mentions of battle and injuries.
Tsuki's Note: Once again, The Original Gotei 13 is written by my perception of them. If more official content gets around, my portait of them might be wrong.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
As i said on the last batch of HC, you slowly grew closer to Furuoki.
You guys got more and more comfortable about spending time together and soon enough your relatioship got to the ?? status.
This means that you weren't just captain and lieutenant, nor friends, but also not lovers.
Something inbetween those.
Unfortunally neither of you had the time or knew how to approach the topic, as the war with the Quincies was getting closer and closer.
You both just had some awkward proximity moments.
When the war happened you could tell Furuoki was worried about you.
Not like he didn't trust you or didn't put faith on your fighting skills, just a worry he couldn't help. What if you get hurt? what if you get stuck under some building?
You were worried as well, your captain would become one of the main targets now.
As expected of any battle field you guys got apart.
After a sequences of rough fights, many dead comrades and terrible injuries, you could find your captain again.
Furuoki wasn't in one piece either, but he seemed to be ok-ish.
As soon as you spotted him, you called out and threw your arms around his neck.
The man was a bit taken aback by the sudden hug, but he returned your affection.
He held you very tighly, as if you would disappear in thin air. You felt as if your ribs would break.
He nuzzled on the crook of your neck, none of you said anything.
Your moment was broken by some screaming and explosions, but the war was near an end.
When it was all warped up and preparation to mourn and respect the dead was done, you found Furuoki seated on what used to be the 10th division's yard.
You sat next to him, leaning on his shoulder and let out a sigh.
The silence was comfortable.
Your captain soon complained the work it would take to rebuild the structure, specially with less people now.
You couldn't help but giggle and offer your help.
That is when Furuoki took this moment to ask if you were really going to stay around.
You had no doubt when answering that as a lieutenant, you wouldn't leave.
But you were cut short mid setence when he asked:
"No, not the squad. I meant.... around... Me"
You blinked. You stuttered a " Well, yes. I will stay around.... you" while feeling your cheeks burn.
Furuoki nodded and had a small smile on his face.
From there onwards you got a feeling you had an upgrade of relationships status.
Don't get me wrong, you guys had shit ton of work ahead.
Slowly but surely you rebuild the 10th squad again and also added a room.
A room to just sit back and enjoy some tea together.
You both chatted alot about the new layout. So a few jokes about you two renovating your home popped up.
After everything was settle, new room and all, you had your next relaionship status upgrade: you officially became the new Tutor for new joiners and the captain spouse.
It was quite funny to see all the new comers face when they realized that you weren't just the lieutenant.
Especially because you and Furuoki weren't that much of PDA, but it was noticible you had a different treatment.
Kinda VIP.
Whenever you had a peaceful moment for the two of you, You sighed and smiled.
It was such a nice feeling to be back home.
Furuoki would pat your head and smile sweetly.
Here you, watching the stars together, peacefully and quietly.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for reading!
I did not proof read this! Sorry!

CPE312 - Software Design and Engineering
Class Discussion + Group Activity
September 19, 2024
WEEK 6
ִֶָ𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָ🐇་༘࿐
Today, our instructor discussed about Software Testing and Quality Assurance. Although I was a bit sleepy during the lecture, I managed to catch a few important parts of the discussion. We learned about different testing methods like Black Box and White Box Testing, and John Brooke's System Usability System (SUS). Our instructor also discussed Regression Testing, which checks if changes in the software create new problems, and System Testing, which ensures that the whole program works properly before release.
After the lecture, we had our group activity where we analyzed UI (User Interface) problems. Our group included Sean Quincy Manquilimotan and Earl Cagaanan as note-takers, while John Raynier Tejano and I focused on discussing the issues in the UI design. We looked at problems users might face, like unclear layouts or confusing buttons, and tried to come up with ways to improve the overall experience.
We were also given another task involving John Brooke’s System Usability Scale (SUS). This scale helps measure how easy or hard it is to use a system by asking 10 questions. Each question is rated from 1 to 5, and after calculating the responses, we get a score that tells us how good the usability is. A higher score means better usability. To calculate it, you subtract 1 from the odd-numbered questions' answers, subtract the even-numbered questions' answers from 5, and then multiply the total by 2.5 to get a score out of 100.
For this task, Tejano worked on solving the SUS with responses from 3 participants through google forms and google spreadsheets, while I did it manually. We added up all the scores, divided them by 3 (since there were 3 participants), and this gave us the average score, showing how usable the system was overall.
I really enjoyed the activity because we worked as a team and made sure no one was left behind. Everyone’s opinions were welcomed, and we didn’t have any arguments. I hope that when we work on our EduConnect TutorHub software, we can use the same strategy we showed today—doing teamwork and everyone participates.

The official Dunkin' RPG, author unknown, 2020
You remember the official Wendy's RPG? No? Oh you lucky person you. Anyway, yes, there was an official Wendy's RPG, followed by a Burger King RPG, a McDonalds euro-style board game, and... whatever that... thing... Arby's came up with was. A dozen other similar products appeared and disappeared over the course of 11 months. It was the apocalypse at the time; you might as well try anything.
One that I have a copy of is "DD", a game of...
Ok you need some more context here.
While Dunkin' Donuts LLC (aka Dunks aka DuDo's) has spread like a purple-and-orange fungus across every airport in the USA, it originated in Massachusetts. Specifically, it's from Quincy (where Quincy market is not located people, not located), south of Boston (where Quincy market is located). The greater Boston area has a LOT of nerds, and a high number of game designers live in the nearby area. Most of them are indie designers.
So when Dunks decided to jump on the bandwagon, and wanted to "do something different" - to stand apart from, say, the Krispy Kreme Kastle Krasher game - they hired an indie designer whom they never bothered to credit, paid them an unknown amount, and published whatever they wrote without much oversight.
The result is Divers Duties, a game of Pilgrim drama and lawmanship that runs off the Dogs in the Vineyard engine. Yes, whomever wrote this made Dunks in the Vineyard. If you own a copy of DitV, you will immediately clock this as a bizarre reskin, complete with dice pools, raises, Fallout rolls, give, and escalation. Instead of being Mormon-inspired, it's Calvinist-inspired, which... let's just say my partner has a death wish for John Calvin that she's upset she'll never be able to act on just because he's rude enough to already be dead. There's no art. The layout is nice and clean.
What does this game have to do with Dunks? Other than the extremely non-Pilgrim color scheme and a probably-contract-mandated number of references to donuts on each page, nothing whatsoever. There are no extra uses of zeroes in the rules. The city of Quincy is not even name-checked. Nothing gets dunked, except for the company itself arguably getting dunked on by this writer who was audacious enough to obey the exact letter of the contract and run off with the money.
The game ends with a land acknowledgement for the Wampanoag and Massachusett people, a touch I would love to see in more historical US games.

Nick and Preston headcannon
Nicky knew about the minutemen for a while. He'd run into them, they did good work.
That Quincy massacre event was a real shame. Nicky always wondered if someone or something, had given that breaking point a helping hand.
Academic now.
In his new travels with Sole, he got to meet this promising young lieutenant in the ruins of the museum.
He felt awful for this living ray of sunshine. Everything that could have happened to them did. And he is trying to bear the weight of it all.
Glob... Nicky knew what that felt like.
Garvey loves seeing his grumpy grandpa (affectionate). Everything about Nick is actually soothing, and a reminder of how even something feared, can be a great force of good.
Nick, his eyes ever glowing for justice, instills a wash of pride in Garvey's heart. (He also loves hearing the stories of Nick's adventures, and does planning with him from time to time since his knowledge of the layout of the land is incomparable.
Funny enough i see these guys baking together during their off time. I dont know why...
(anyone want to write a "fallout 4, Great Boston Bakeoff" ep? 😅)

~Go South-East, Young Minh~
Minh had been procrastinating on searching for her kidnapped son Shaun without shame. However, after taking back the Castle, she found herself missing the little boy. She decided to head out for Diamond City, where there might have been a detective or something, leaving Sanctuary Hills in the capable hands of its mightiest warrior.
Diamond City lay in the rugged heart of Boston, where tall, angry super mutants walked their green mutant dogs, bandits tried to make an honest living shooting anything that wandered past, and all the buildings made the game run so badly I wouldn't even think of trying to film anything.
To get to Diamond City, Minh first had to cross the old bridge.
In a sure sign of things to come, raiders who'd made their camp on an old cargo boat tried to waylay her as she passed.
"I really do wonder," Minh said to herself, "where the Hell I'm supposed to find Diamond City. I don't know, something's telling me it might be along this way..."
It was. As it turned out, there was a reporter outside, demanding to be let in, but getting nowhere. She (the reporter) jumped at the chance to use her (Minh) as a pretext to get through the gate.
"Tra... der? Oh, yeah, from Quincy, that's me! Madame Quincy, as we call her, authorised me to sell all sorts of great stuff on her behalf! Water, carrots, vintage desk fans, the works! She also offered me a line of credit to buy some of your, er, freshly-picked, um, diamonds!" stammered Minh.
"Jesus, this 'Piper' lady really must be trouble if the mayor came out just to yell at her," Minh reflected after being allowed in. "I must get her number! No, wait, there aren't any telephones that work. I must get her... shoe size! Or something!"
Diamond City was a jaw-dropping sight. It was also built on the ruins of a baseball field, Minh quickly realised as Piper showed her around. Something about the layout of the place tickled a long-dormant corner of Minh's brain. A ball park, a few miles south of Cambridge, next to the river...
"Oh, my God!" Minh gasped. "Fenway Park!"
"Er, Fenway who?" said Piper, peering at her in confusion. "Is that your name? I'm Piper Wright."
"No, this place, it was Fenway Park before all the, you know... Apocalypse and stuff. I used to watch every Red Sox game in here, tried to join the women's team, but apparently I wasn't what they were looking for..."
Piper's hat leapt from her head as she jumped up in amazement. "You're from BEFORE THE GREAT WAR?! I-I don't believe it! You look too nice, well, too alive to be a ghoul!"
"Er, w-well, I'm not a ghoul, I was frozen in time- No, frozen FOR a long time, in a freezer, then they shot Facian-" stammered Minh.
"Ohhh, I just HAVE to get an exclusive interview with you! Come on, this way!" Piper all but dragged Minh down the stairs to her news office.
Somehow, Minh managed to provide Piper with enough inspiring quotes to keep Publick Occurrences afloat for another few weeks.
Her head spinning, Minh went to the pub for some pie.
The mood in Diamond City, she was noticing over time, was rather low. Everybody seemed to be worried about "The Institute", which presumably was an institute of some description, sending "Synths", which presumably were pieces of electronic music-making equipment, to infiltrate and subvert their society.
After four or five difficult conversations on whether she really was human, Minh was getting tired. "Are you a Synth? No, seriously, are you a dangerous and unknowable agent of a dangerous, unknowable foreign power, trying to worm your way into our lovely free society by pretending to be a normal person?!" It felt just like being Vietnamese in the late 2070s.
"I'm fed up of this, Piper!" Minh vented over drinks that evening. "Everyone's seeing Synths everywhere. Is it the sunglasses? Do they make me look...?" She sighed. "I think they look cool."
"Don't worry, I know you aren't a Synth," said Piper, giving her a pat on the shoulder. "Why would the Institute need to send you, when Mayor McDonough is ALREADY a Synth?! That's why he has it in for me, because he knows sooner or later I'll expose him in front of the whole world!"
"Oh... Really? You don't say," said Minh, on the edge of despair. "And do you, perchance, have concrete evidence in favour of these accusations, dearest Piper?"
Piper scoffed. "Oh, you bet I do! The mayor, see, he was sitting in that chair, right over there..." Piper pointed at a chair. "The same chair a different man sat in over SIXTY YEARS AGO!"
"Oh. I see." Minh clambered over the bar, grabbed a large bottle of vodka from the hands of the startled publican and devoured the liquid in one long, slow gulp.

OKay! everyone who has had some sort of bio before has one on the muselist now- at the very least barebones height, weight, species etc. the formats are inconsistent, but it's there.
All OCs have been given a short summary if they didn't have one, since characters like magnus, opal and quincy, and ashton kinda need context to make sense ofc! i apologize (not sorry) that most of the muses missing true summaries/bios are canon ones, but they'll be done later. I'm sick of looking at this + the ones i write are For Dummies and designed to describe the character out of context for accessibility, including any character growth from beyond canon.
also reformatted the layout to be less headache inducing, with 2 muses per row. a nice happy medium between longass list and busy-full pages;;;
#blog update#ooc.#remembered that i had actual bios to transfer and said....fuck it!!! so it was faster than i thought#but i still stared @ these much longer than i would have liked to tonight. ffffdfl#also there's a handful of muses who i need to fetch the icons for. namely acrid and fall guy i think
