I'm not hiding anything" she stated with a small hum. The whole point of surprises was for things to be a secret, but Evy knew there wasn't much point with Rick. He seemed to always suss her out eventually. She brought from behind her back a small gift box, "It is just a little something..surprise?" Evelyn handed the small gift for Rick to take, arms folding over her chest. "Don't worry, it isn't cursed or .. supernatural in any shape or form" which would only be their luck..

Just to note for historical accuracy, the ancient Egyptians wouldn't take out your heart during the mummification process as they believed it links with intellect, personality and memory, it was considered the most important of the internal organs. It could reveal the person's true character, even after death, so the belief went, and therefore the heart was left in the deceased's body during mummification. Hence the weighing of the feather trial..

The brunet archangel appears, wings tucked and face shrouded in pink. Tug to jacket sleeve. A blush - freckles showing. Blues glimmering. In honor or autumn, he hands over a branch-crown woven in leaves. Splashes of vermillion dot orange and browns. Berries plucked from holly bushes. Fingers are wound with bandages from pricks. ❝ Happy autumn, Giraffe. ❞ Dimples show as he smiles.

Kemuel is left with little surprise when he sees Gabe's face sport a warm, pink blush. Either mischief or romanticism is on the other's mind, though which will win in the end? The archangel adjusts his scarf as it loosely drapes over his shoulders, only to discover what Gabriel presents. A crown? Not just any from the looks of it. His eyes light up and lips part for a soft chuckle.

"Oh, Gabe...you made this, did you not?" he asks in breathless awe while taking the crown. Those fingers weren't harmed for naught, rest assured; Kem lowers his head to place the autumnal crown atop his locks of browns. With a little adjustment here and there, he lowers his hands to take Gabriel's into his own.

"What do you think? The colors are perfect, yes? Happy autumn to you as well."

Listen, I'm trying to figure out the queue right now so try to learn patience in the meantime. It's called a virtue for a reason.

OK took a moratorium from posting as a moment of silence. Toriyama was an exceptional artist and story-teller; I'm grateful for and in awe by his compelling patience and commitment for his craft, which without these virtues of character, we would not know his name at all. The time he spent learning and practicing and drafting must total up to years of failure - but he was able to manifest his ideas with a fire that touched the whole world. Dragon Ball was the genesis for many popular tropes; and beyond that, the worldwide connection that his stories have wrought is something that will long outlive him, even outlive any semblance of canon as people take the opportunity to commune and spark their own flames.

Similarly I'm going to post what's been building in my drafts now lol. (On a queue.) The show must go on

Patience can sometimes be a virtue

A/N: I think it has been a hot while, so I have been working on a new fandom Haikyuu, and seeing those Haikyuu Twitter fanfics inspire me to work on a little thing, and it has to be Asanoya as they are my beloved boys!!

A huge shoutout to my colleague for helping me edit a thing and @fawn-eyed-girl for actually being the enabler of things

Asahi noticed that Nishinoya is awfully restless, as he vicariously chewed the manju bun and sipped the energy drink.

“Slow down….”

Nishinoya’s eyes widened to Asahi’s easygoing tone, nearly choking on his manju bun. “I….I….” Thankfully he managed to swallow down the contents to his throat. “You know what…I was thinking Asahi….”

“Huh?”

Nishinoya raise an eyebrow “We should try something new, Asahi, after all coach Ukai gave us a day to rest…” Asahi rubbed his head at Nishinoya’s cheekiness. “Perhaps we should try something new…”

Asahi grew pale in horror. He could imagine all of the horrific combinations Nishinoya could do, maybe dried squid with chocolate sauce, or perhaps tempura with ketchup. That mere thought nearly made him shudder 

“Heard from the girls that there is a new bubble tea store that just opened.” 

Asahi heaves a sigh of relief, at least it’s rather tame. “Bubble tea…”

“Yeah, the girls, especially Yachi-kun took on board with that, alongside with their photos of the girls holding the drinks…”

“Who knows…” Nishinoya gave a cheeky wink. “I can spot some cute girls and their cute uniforms…” Asahi shook his head. “Asahi, do you want to be killed by Captain Daichi for fooling around with girls…”

“Nah, Daichi is spending time after school munching the snacks from Kiyoko with Suga.” Nishinoya gave a thumbs up. “Means we are free from his sight…”

“Fine.” Asahi shrugged his shoulders, there is something about Nishinoya’s confidence that become Asahi’s streaming light. To proudly declare himself as the one who defeated all matches, and delivered with godly reflexes is a stark contrast to his easygoing nature. 

Nishinoya have that fearlessness that Asahi wished he have, and going out of his comfort zone is frightening and yet.

Yet. 

Yet so thrilling.

Giggles from many school girls ring to him like clear bells. Asahi glanced over the shiny new kiosk, with rows of girls shouting their orders, and small clusters gathering around like a murder of crows gazing over their drinks “The reason we are here…” Asahi tried his hardest not to roll his eyes to see Noya gawking over the fashion parade of young girls’ uniform. Noya forced himself not to drool at every sight, though Asahi scanned so briefly on the menu.

The choices are daunting as ever. “Noya! noya! Noya!”, Asahi though tall, is simply pushed over by a sea of girls who are rushing in to get their bubble tea orders. “Which one, which one…” Noya scanning through the menu cheekily. “I know I know, wait…”, of course his thirst has no end, to see the girls clutch with cute colourful bows in their blouses or holding their handphones, snapping photos of their ‘adorable’ drinks.

Suddenly Asahi’s blood grew cold to see a yellow-haired young man gently waddling the sea of girls, which screeches fill the air that he actually cut the queue. Noya whispered to Asahi “Wait I know that pointy head idiot! That is Hinata’s friend from training camp” 

“Hi!” A chirpy bubble tea barista called to Kogane, causing his face to blush redder than one girl’s bowtie to contrast with her beige sweater. “Your order….”

“Ummm….” Kogane muttered his order. They could only hear the barista muttering ‘so you order….”

Noya pauses quietly, screaming on the inside that a huge guy trampled over the delicate flowers, he squinted a little, scanning the menu “Asahi-san! I made up my order, I will order one jasmine milk tea with their special milk foam, with three toppings….” Asahi grew pale in horror over Nishinoya’s choice of toppings (He could hear Daichi’s screaming in his head over the amount of sugar that Nishinoya consumed), and he resignedly stared at the pretty display promoting bottles of milk tea suspended with a white layer. “Excuse me?” Asahi reluctantly raised his voice, causing Kogane to drop his change stupidly upon the flustered barista. 

“How can I help….”

Asahi sucked his breath to blurt his question. “May I know what is this…” 

The barista with braids came out from the store. “Oh, it is our panna cotta milk tea, which has a layer of vanilla panna cotta set below with your tea of choice, 3 to exact, Royal Milk, Kyoto Matcha or Earl Grey!”, Asahi found himself chewing his lip on that matter, which one, which one….which one….

Suddenly Aone came in, glancing at Kogane stirring the pretty bottle of their speciality panna cotta milk tea, gingerly passing to him a cup of regular bubble milk tea. “Aone! Your order….” Kogana smiled at him. “Please…” Seeing that sight of Aone caused Asahi’s blood to run cold, how the hell did Hinata know how to interact with that imposing giant? Thankfully they glanced upon another young man, Fukatachi who called them “Aone-San! Kogane-San!!! What the hell???? You should be coming in to clean the court, Sensei is going to kill us???”

Kogane blurted to himself. “Fukatchi-san, come on!! It is only a…”

“No buts…”, Aone gave a nod to Kogane, pursing his lips drinking the bubble tea, glancing at Asahi and Noya quietly, before dragging Kogane with his drink.

“Well” Noya chirped to Asahi. “Have you made up your mind….”

Asahi is glad that they did not need to meet the Date tech team again, “I think so….”

Fukatchi can handle these two rowdy boys. “Can I have one Earl grey Panna Cotta milk tea…please…” Noya beamed a happy smile for Asahi. “Well good choice…”, it makes Asahi’s heart grow lighter that Noya validated his choices. “Let’s get ordering before the girls can get their chance….”, and of course, Asahi is dragged first in the queue with Noya over the orders- with him hyping around how cool the machinery operates to make many cups of bubble tea.

Though yes, things can be difficult, Asahi knew that sometimes a spirit of adventure is needed for a dull world. And before he could clear Noya’s train of thought- Asahi’s drink is handed to him. Noya cannot help but complain “Sheesh your order is much quicker than mine…”

“Well because you gave the workers a hard time by your mountain of toppings for a plain tea…” Asahi sheepishly muttered to Noya. “You should stick it simply..” using the straw to break up the layer of panna cotta.

“Perhaps…”

Well, patience should be a virtue that Noya should learn.

@jkgnggj I definitely ship it!! I am ringing a cowbell in the town square constantly extolling the virtues of Aikechi while the masses pointedly look the other way lmao.

I think what first got me thinking about Aikechi is that one artwork of the Psychickers polycule at the beach in black and white where Aiura kisses Akechi. I reblog it all the time and I always add it back to the queue lmao. Once I started thinking about their potential relationship, I started realizing how good it is and it all spiralled from there lol.

Basically I love everything about this ship lmao. They're both incomprehensible in different directions. They both have a strong drive to help people. They both are extremely perceptive in different ways. They're both extroverts who love gossip. They both reject the shame that society tries to force them to feel – Aiura for her rejection of traditional femininity & her sex-positivity, Akechi for his incontinence/disability and general disregard for taboo. Akechi would be a great partner to Aiura, attentive and romantic in a way she definitely hasn't experienced before (or else why would she have gone through so much effort to seek out her soul mate?). And Aiura would be a great partner to Akechi with her similar attentiveness, her greater people skills, and her powers. They would love to help people out together (especially trying to defeat death marks), they'd both enjoy trying new things together (like axe-throwing or trying out new fashion looks), and they'd both enjoy chilling and cuddling and watching YouTube poops / listening to music from around the world / parallel playing on their phones etc. They would just be such a disgustingly happy couple <3 The kind that is regularly commiting PDA crimes and are so annoying to talk to lmao. You know they're giving each other pet names and being too lovey dovey and referencing a billion inside jokes and it's just so cringe <3 I LOVE THAT FOR THEM!!!!!

All of my opinions for this ship are technically unpopular because the ship is unpopular lmao. I think one problem might be that Aiura is clearly allosexual with a high sex drive while Akechi seems pretty dang ace. I guess my unpopular opinion is that it would not be a problem in this particular case. LISTEN... In my experience, there are broadly 3 types of asexuals. Those that find sex repulsive, those that literally could not care less about sex, and those that find sex fascinating like on a conceptual level. I think that based on his noted interest in dick and general lack of shame about bodily functions, Akechi probably falls into the third category. In fact, I posit that to Akechi, sex is a game you can win, something which is both normal to want and possible to achieve. His powers of observation, natural curiosity/willingness to experiment, and patience make him ridiculously good at showing his partner(s) a great time, even though he himself is rarely interested in getting involved. It fits with his evil nice mastermind characterization to be able to "control" someone in that way, and it keeps the funniness of his character because who in the world would think MISTER PISS is actually a world-class lover?? Anyways, he can definitely satisfy Aiura, though I still generally like her to have other partners so the game remains fun for him and doesn't become tiresome. Power to the polycule, etc lmao.

Kem bursts into a fit of giggles as shades of reds, golds, and oranges leap at him at once. He spits out one of the leaves and ruffles his hair to rid it of any leaf and leaf accessories. "What is the reason for this? I thought you were going to help me clean them up," he laughs while scooping up a large pile of his own. It's times like these that his height comes in handy. Not only is he taller, but with his 'wingspan'? His hoard of leaves is all the more majestic. And so he returns the favor in kind, sporting a wide grin as the afternoon sun filters through the forests' trees.

❝  i'm  tryin,  miss  !  it's  not  like  i  can  skip  the  queue  ....  ❞  admittedly,  he  could  neither  skip  that  line  of  people  lined  up  for  the  ice  cream  stand  nor  push  his  way  somewhere  in  the  middle.  all  he  was  left  with  was  standing  and  waiting,  which  he  was  not  the  best  at.  he  never  knew  how  to  stand  still  in  one  place,  he  constantly  had  to  move,  do  something.  and  patience  was  not  his  virtue  by  any  means.  he  was  getting  nervous  and  pretty  disappointed  quickly.  after  all,  he  also  wanted  the  ice  cream  !  but  jing  liu  complaining  was  not  helping,  like  at  all.  he  didn't  even  have  a  clue  why  he  agreed  to  accompany  her,  maybe  appearances  were  just  deceiving  because  all  the  way  he  just  had  to  listen  to  what  she  didn't  like.  rough  personality  she  had  but  still  he  didn't  want  to  get  discouraged  quickly.

While I understand wanting avatars done quickly, I do not need to receive the same ask twice, and once again on a tumblr where I reblog (Echo des Plaines). I am currently grieving the loss of my father, and avatars are not my top priority, hence why there's only one scheduled post per day.

Habakkuk 2:3

 

If you have ever been stuck in traffic when you are in a hurry or a slow-moving queue, then you may know something about patience and waiting. There is patience in waiting!

Waiting and patience go hand in hand, they are interchangeable, you cannot do one without the other. According to the Bible, patience is a fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22 and a virtue and it is what allows us to respond to frustrating circumstances with grace and self-control.

Anything of value is worth waiting for according to the bible, every notable event of the scripture needs time to mature into manifestation, from Abraham waiting for Isaac to David waiting for the throne, the Israelites in slavery waiting for deliverance and from the promise of a virgin birth to the resurrection of the Messiah. We are all even now according to Romans 8:19 await the manifestation of the sons of God.

Waiting means looking forward to someone or something with an underlying sense of expectation or anticipation. Though, one can wait for something or someone without expectation or expect without waiting. It’s about trusting that God knows what’s best for us and will provide in His own time. How do we find strength while waiting?

Seek God’s strength and guidance by staying connected to God through prayer and maintaining a hopeful and positive outlook, trusting that good things are coming at the appointed time.

Every vision is yet for an appointed time—whatever your vision is, it is for an appointed time. But in the end, it will speak, it will happen. God’s promises always manifest!

God is not slow, tardy, or late; but He comes exceedingly on time declare 2 Peter 3:9.

The ultimate vision may seem far away. Even if it is slow, it is sure. It may not come in your days but 'it is sure to come, it will not be late: and if it delays, wait for it.

When the kingdom of God will come is not clear, but come it will, that means we must exercise our patience in waiting for that thing we have no idea when it will come.

Impatience has its root in personal agenda; when we have plans that seem late, when in a hurry or when we want something and want it now, we exhibit impatience because we like our needs and desires to instantly be satisfied.

Moses expected an instant resolution of the issues in Egypt at his “let my people go,” speech, unfortunately, that didn’t happen. We see that from his impatient outburst directed at God in Exodus 5:22-23. We do the same when things don’t go our way, but the beginning of patience is surrendering our agenda to God’s will and committing ourselves to obedience over the long haul.

Patience is grown from waiting and we must all learn to wait patiently, especially in the things of the Spirit, we pray and expect an instant answer but sometimes the Lord says wait: wait for He will answer in time according to Psalm 40:1. We develop patience as we learn to focus on the eternal thing that gives us a perspective worth waiting for and not on temporal things without eternal value.

While you’re waiting for the Lord and the vision let your cry be; “be gracious to me Lord,” it doesn’t matter how long the wait is for, you have no better choice than what the Lord promised, the Lord will supply the strength to wait, that will help us soar like the eagle seen in Isaiah 40:31 so wait, keep waiting on God.

PRAYER: Father, I come before You with a heart full of hope and trust. As I keep waiting on Your perfect timing, grant me patience and peace to remain faithful and obedient in Jesus’ name, amen.
