You drop your school work for the next two weeks. You’re not going to be able to keep your scholarship and you can’t afford school without it. Maybe someday you can go to a community college and get an associates’. But not today. You pack all your things up except for what you need right now, like your shower stuff and your computer, so you can be ready to go when they kick you out. Danny does the same, because if you’re going to be roommates in a real apartment, it’s stupid for him to pay for a whole summer here. He’ll have to move out at the same time. Josselin doesn’t deal with his landlord much, but Frankie knows him pretty well. She met him when he was a customer at the gardening store she used to work at before she went back to school. He came in pretty regularly, so when she was looking for a place, he gave her a deal. But they’re good tenants, too. They’re quiet and Familiar is well behaved. They don’t cause trouble. So when Frankie says, “I think I can get you something,” you believe her. You believe her because you have to.

so i need some relationship advice.

I recently got into a queer platonic relationship with my best friend. She's also on the aroace spectrum but she told me today that she is interested in having a romantic relationship with someone else in the future. I said that was fine but I know I'm going to have trouble with it.

I've had a platonic crush on her for two or three years. Before we officially defined our relationship, she had a boyfriend over the summer and I was incredibly jealous. I never told her, was always polite abt it, and asked how he was doing etc but I was secretly hoping they would break up (which they quickly did). I feel bad for hoping that tho bc I want her to be happy. I was very surprised by my intense reaction to her dating. I always assumed that I would be fine with my partner having other partners; polyamory and other kinds of nontraditional relationships have always made much more sense to me than monogamy. It really caught me off guard how upset I was abt her having a bf.

She said that she's not expecting to be in a romantic relationship for several more years, so this isn't a pressing problem, but she wanted to let me know anyway. How do I stop or deal these feelings of jealousy when/if that situation occurs?

Why was I harassed for using the "q slur" when I had my then queerplatontic partner listed in my bio and called a "straightie using slurs trying to fit in" because I was het ace at the time?

Aphobia aside, STRAIGHT PEOPLE CAN HAVE QUEERPLATONIC RELATIONSHIPS TOO? WERE THEY SERIOUSLY GATEKEEPING A SINGULAR TYPE OF RELATIONSHIP???

And Queer isn't a slur, but especially not when someone is using it in relation to the official designation of a relationship????

Or was it all just to harass someone who was trying to figure herself out because she wasn't the right type of gay?

Romantically, canonically, speaking: Love this question as I am actually in two polyamorous relationships rn-- Loud Bell and also Robbie/Nemo/Tae (though that is... very complicated). 

Overall -ship speaking: i think nemo might win in terms of friendships and queerplatontic stuff that make me vibrate at light speeds.

Finn, this is a shoutout to YOU. no lie everytime i think about finn flounder and the growth he’s gone through my throat gets really thick and i wanna like write an entire essay about the importance of finn’s quiet, steady growth in terms of confidence and bravery. i just think that it can be easy to miss, but it shouldn’t be-- how the steps were small but consistent, and even like... his elevator thread with an ashley, how that shows how far he’s come. he’s LITERALLY my best friend like do not COME for him i’ll eat you alive 

Ashlee, well since i’ve already mentioned you let’s do you! you’re actually kind of similar in how your growth has been subtle at times, and also not always linear-- and i love that. I love everything about Ashlee actually, like her specific brand of meanness is razor sharp but always DEFENSIVE not offensive and i think that’s so different from the rest of the ashleys. I really am cheering for her to outgrow them. I know that’s like, so controversial lmao but i think she can do it but still remain the brash and careful and lovely girl she is. 

Eilonwy-- hi! :DDD i haven’t rped with her much, but she came right out of the gate as TOTALLY dynamic and ready to take bdrp by storm. obsessed with the magic you’ve worked out for her, and i love the pure friendship between eilonwy and ian and eilonwy and lachlann. and of course...she brought pip cookies. can’t wait to get to know her MORE whether through pip or merida with the knights! i love fighty ladies!
