December 16 2016 - [⚠️: murder] The family of a 38-year-old woman that police suspect was murdered have paid tribute to "a beautiful and vibrant #mother, daughter and sister". #ClaireNagel died after being found "seriously injured" at a house in Charnwood Avenue, #Borrowash, shortly after 11am on Friday. Police went to the address after a 22-year-old man, who suffered head injuries in Station Road, also in Borrowash, raised the alarm. A 44-year-old man later died after being in collision with a lorry on the M1 between junction 25, at Long Eaton, and junction 26, at #Nuthall. Derbyshire police are linking the two deaths and have confirmed they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death of Claire. They also confirmed a murder investigation is underway and that she is related to both the 22-year-old man, who is in the #QueensMedicalCentre, and the 44-year-old. Claire's father Martin Paton, on behalf of all the family, said: "We are devastated at the loss of a much loved, beautiful and vibrant mother, daughter and sister, Claire. "We believe this was a tragic incident for everyone involved and their families. "We don't want to apportion any blame and wish to be left alone to grieve as a family. We'd also like to thank everyone who has offered us messages of support." Police have been quick to refute rumours that Claire was stabbed although a cause of death is yet to be determined as a post mortem examination has not yet been carried out. Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Meadows, who is leading the investigation, is keen to hear from anyone who may have seen something they may now feel was out of place or suspicious in the area of either Station Road or Charnwood Avenue in Borrowash during yesterday morning. #violenceagainstwomen #restinpeace (at Borrowash, Derby, United Kingdom)
