This was 9 years ago in NYC! Tracee Ellis Ross, Natasha Lyonne, and Kalup Linzy. NYC, 2014 Backstory: Tracee Ellis Ross had been making her own characters in video and performance art videos outside of being an actress since the late nineties. Conversations with mutual art world friends like Thelma Golden @thelmagolden and Rodney McMillan @rodney.mcmillian led her to my work. She watched some of my videos online and noticed our mutual friend Natasha Lyonne. Natasha reached out to me and said Tracee Ellis Ross wanted to meet me. I couldn't believe it! We had dinner, talked about life, art, and kikied most of the night!
