Here we come with another DIY tutorial inspired in Roger Taylor's iconic outfits! Today we'll make the famous pink sparkling All Stars !!!

Voltamos com mais um tutorial de DIY inspirado nas peças icônicas do Roger Taylor! Hoje faremos os All Stars rosa brilhantes !!!

1st You need a pair of All Stars, new or old, white or pink, suit yourself! Then you'll need fabric glue, glitter and a tiny brush

1º Você precisará de um par de All Stars, Novo ou velho, branco ou rosa, vc decide! Também precisará de cola para tecido, purpurina/glitter e um pincel fino para ajudar na aplicação.

2nd Once your shoes are clean, start applying the glue in small spaces and then apply the glitter. I highly recommend u doing it slowly, space by space, bcz if u apply the glue all at once it may dry.

2º Uma vez que seus tênis estejam limpos, comece aplicando a cola em pequenos espaços do tênis e em seguida aplique a purpurina. Aconselho vocês a fazerem essa etapa com muita calma, espacinho por espacinho, porque se aplicar a cola em todo o tênis de uma vez só ela pode secar e o brilho não aderir tão bem.

I forgot taking pictures while doing this step, sorry... 🤭 Following are the pics comparing the result of 2nd step and the non started one.

Me esqueci completamente de tirar fotos durante a segunda etapa, desculpinha....🤭 Abaixo está um comparativo do fim da 2ª etapa c/ o tênis que ainda não foi trabalhado.

3rd Let it dry for some hours. There isn't a specific time, it depends a lot on the weather (if it's raining, gonna take forever but if it's sunny will be faster).

3º Deixe secar bem. Não há um tempo específico, porque dependerá muito do clima (se estiver chovendo levará uma eternidade mas se tiver sol será bem mais rápido)

4th Once your All Stars are completely dry, you'll apply thinned glue just to fix the glitter. Use the same glue from the begging, just dilute a bit with water .

4º Assim que os All Stars estiverem completamente secos, dilua a mesma cola usada no início em um pouco de água e aplique por toda a região que recebeu a purpurina. Isso servirá para selar o trabalho e evitar que a purpurina caia muito.

5th (and last) LET THIS FUCK DRY!!!! I left it for 3 days and 2 nights just to be pretty sure it was completely well dried.

5º (e último) DEIXE SECAR!!! Eu deixei secando por 3 dias e 2 noites só para ter certeza de que todas as camadas estavam perfeitamente secas.

ITS FINALLY READY!!! 🥂

FINALMENTE ESTÁ PRONTO!!! 🥂

Ps:

There're other nice ways to fix the glitter, you can find them at YouTube! I used the diluted glue bcz was easier/cheaper to me, but I'm seriously thinking about the idea of applying hairspray to improve the fixing...

Again, my intention wasn't to make a perfect copy of Roger's All Stars... They were just an inspiration . 😉

Há várias outras formas legais de fixar o glitter, dêem uma olhada no YouTube. Eu usei a cola diluída porque era mais fácil/mais barato para mim, porém estou seriamente pensando em usar fixador de penteados (spray de cabelo) para reforçar a fixação.

Novamente, minha intenção não era criar cópias perfeitas dos All Stars do Roger... Apenas me inspirei neles. 😉
