Synopsis : A slight reimagining of Ethan and Aspen's first drink together.

A/N Day 3 sea, ocean "you really like it? " "No, I was kidding. "

A short walk saw me at Donahue's, ready to drown the day in a glass of red wine. I searched the bar, looking for any familiar faces but seeing none, which was to be expected as I had been on a graveyard shift, I sat down on a bar stool, ordering my drink. Reggie smiled as he offered it to me.

"Tough day, huh? "

"Don't ask. " I huffed, sipping the drink and closing my eyes.

"I'll leave you to it then."

"Thanks, Reggie. "

He nodded and flitted away towards other business as I sat back, thinking of nothing in particular. It was sort of like white noise. Closing off all senses, including your brain, focusing on nothing. Suddenly I was pulled out of my reverie by the gentle scraping of the stool next to me being pulled out, I noticed a man lowering himself on it through my peripheral vision as he cleared his throat, turning towards me.

Ready to decline his offer and tell him I'm not interested, I looked over, startled by the steely ocean blue eyes of Ethan Ramsey and I was now very much interested.

"Rookie."

"Dr Ramsey. "

" You seem to have already started. " He motioned to my drink with a wave of his hand.

" You'll just have to catch up then. Whiskey, on the rocks? "

"Scotch, neat. "

I instantly pegged Ethan down for appreciating a good whiskey but scotch was a pleasant surprise, he came across as a Bourbon guy in my mind.

"You don't mind me joining you? "

"Nope, not at all. "

I wouldn't mind spending all of my time with you. I cringed inwardly at my completely inappropriate crush on my boss.

"So." I cleared my throat, continuing nervously "it's late, no one waiting for you at home? "

"If that was your subtle attempt to gain knowledge of my relationship status, way to go, rookie. Not that it's any of you business, but no, no one waiting at home. "

Reggie walked over with Ethan's drink, breaking the awkward silence.

"The special, as usual? "

"Ah, yes. Thank you, Reggie. "

"Special, huh? "

I questioned as Reggie turned his attention to another customer. Ethan just shrugged.

"I have my tastes. "

I eyed the drink curiously, it looked pretty much like any ordinary scotch, just more than the usual serving.

"You want to try? "

"Yeah, sure. "

I brought the glass to my lips, sipping hesitantly, as the strong liquid poured downy throat, leaving a burning sensation that almost caused me to gag.

"Oh.. Oh.. Wow that's just..Wow. "

I gasped, overwhelmed by the strong heat still radiating in my entire throat and had now settled in my stomach.

"You like it? I'll get you one. "

" No! no I'm good. "

I cried out terrified of the notion of having to stomach that, I wanted to put up a good impression but even I had my limits.

"You really like it? "

"No, I was kidding. " I admitted.

"Hmm." Ethan mused.

"Last call, everyone! " Reggie bellowed from the other end, I took the last sip of my drink and got up. Ethan remained fixed in his spot.

"Uh, I'll see you at work then. Goodnight. "

"Night." He only nodded at me.

I walked out, calling a car which arrived promptly, taking me home to the inviting memory of my bed.The worry of having accidentally pissed of Ethan Ramsey kept gnawing at my mind at intervals.

Back at Donahue's.....

Ethan sat, still going over his conversation with a particular intern he was finding indescribably hard to keep away from, he wanted to know all about her, her choices, preferences, anything that brought him closer to her. Her slight scrunching of nose, teary eyes and the warm gasp at his strong drink almost had him laughing. She was a classic lightweight.

He smirked, suddenly feeling much closer to her. He brought his drink to his lips, it really was a special one.

by nayeon's thoughts about her group's leader, i think she tries to balance her solo activities with her group ones. i believe jype gave the girls a bit more freedom and i can see nayeon really wanted solo activities? so she really tries to balance her desires which definitely influenced their relationship. i think they really try to be as close as usual, so her thoughts are not as shown as much. they respect their independence and when they see each other, they celebrate it at least in their minds, so i am certain she thinks posotive for jihyo.

jeongyeon, however.. is she having conflict with her? i believe she's bottling her feelings, so that might be why the cards are in that position? i'd assume she wants to either leave twice or do something solo, but i am not sure. with her career reading i did weeks ago (in fikarot) i saw she's restricted and she might be forced to do some things. i can feel jeongyeon is sharing her thoughts to jihyo, which could lead to some quarrels. she's thought it for a while, so with 5 of wands in the end i can see the girls might not have some things allowed.. apart from that, her thoughts on jihyo are actually great.

momo on the other hand, her thoughts of jihyo are so and so. they might be wonderful on the one hand but on the other are kinda shit. i am assuming she doesn't win as much money as she wants? she could be dissapointed (or mad assuming the emperor is here) that she cannot help, so their relationship being on hold makes sense.

sana is trying hard to make her perception of jihyo very, very positive. i think she overthinks jihyo's hard times, her sad moments and etc. she thinks jihyo is strong person and she wishes to help her if she can: sana is really sad because she actually can help her when she needs help but jihyo is trying to overcome it without any help, so .. yeah..

mina might watch jihyo from a distance. she thinks jihyo has set some boundaries when it's needed and overall, mina's perception of jihyo is that she knows her from a past life. however, she wants to get to know her more. she might be too shy to do it so, which is surely her lose, because she can do it!

although they appreciate each other's freedom, dahyun might be overwhelmed of jihyo at times. currently her emotions might be all over the place which is fine. she's really trying to still think positively bc of it.

chaeyoung's perception however has seemed to be totally shifted. but not exactly? there might be another woman apart from her (chae's sun is in taurus) that made chaeyoung think in this way?? i can also feel denying of that shiftness, so i don't quite know тт

tzuyu's perception of jihyo can be a bit mixed. overall, i can see she thinks positively of her however she wants to get to know more and more about her. i think she has trust issues with these cards to be honest, so if that's true, i am not suprised.

This is a first, I guess. I'm kinda pissed at him.

First, because when he turns up it's usually due to him needing attention or to vent or help, or whatever. But then, because he's been kinda unrealiable in person as well. The last few times I was there, around half of what we had arranged really happened. Lastly, due to money. It's not really the sum of money, but just his behavior around it. He acts and spends like he doesn't owe me anything. Then, the other day, he mentioned a birthday gift for me. We're in october and my birthday was in august. I don't want a birthday gift, I want my money, honestly. I feel like i helped him when he needed it, but then I've been just funding his lifestyle, which makes me feel uncomfortable, since I would never act like this if it was me. I'd make it a priority to pay them back. It's only fair after all. Specially considering he makes more money than I do, and even got a raise in this while.

You started Killing Eve because of me?? I’m so flattered, and happy you enjoyed it!! Black Sails is pretty amazing, not perfect by any means, but I think you’ll like it. Season 2 is my favorite.

Yeah, it happened to me a lot too, blocking does shit to stop them, tumblr users don’t give a shit where the gifs come from, hitting thieves through tumblr’s the best approach :P

sorry for the late reply! i think the issue might be resolved now? i came back here and saw i had 3 messages, one of them was from another person, and as i went to look at it, there only was the one from the other account... and the message i sent to that account (repost account) was nowhere to be found. i then wanted to check out that blog again and it looks like the person deleted their account. either that or tumblr updated their blocking system so that i can’t view their blog any longer, making it look like it’s deleted, which i frankly don’t think is the case? unless i missed something?

either way i hope they learned their lesson, i didn’t mean to come off as rude to them in any way, i was just quite angry because, well, i happen to be rather possessive of what’s mine hahah. but yeah stealing and reposting gifs/edits/art/etc is a shitty thing to do; i don’t mind if people use my gifs for gif hunts (if those still exist? lmao) or for their imagines or fanfics, they can even post them on instagram or whatever (as i’ve seen a gifset of mine on insta already), i just want them to give me credit at least. those are my gifs, after all.
