STOP DON'T SCROL
I am Osama Al-Anqar and my wife's name is Rana Raed Al-Anqar. We have a little girl.
We used to live in our house in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood. We used to live in peace and security and I had a job, but the war came and took everything from me,
first of all my brother Mahmoud, who was martyred in the bombing of the Baptist Hospital. He left behind his children and wife, and my brother Ahmed, whose front leg was amputated in the same bombing. I lost my house, my family's house, and my job. Now we have become homeless, moving from one place to another. We are gripped by fear, terror, and hunger. My daughter suffers from extreme fear and panic, and suffers from lack of food and skin diseases due to the lack of water and cleanliness.
We are in dire need of your help. We call on you to fund this fund to save my family and provide safe shelter, food, drink, and health care. Your donation is no matter what can happen to us in our lives. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support means more.

I think there's something very frustrating about how so many activist events, like the haka in the New Zealand parliament, are brushed off as spontaneous acts of passion instead of carefully planned and coordinated efforts. I see it a lot of with indigenous activists especially, and it feels like a lot of people lean on that idea because they like the romantic idea of activism being spontaneous passion but it's incredibly infantalizing to ignore the efforts that these activists and protestors and politicians put into making these things happen, making their voices heard and preparing their communities and allies to stand as a united front when it's time.

nothing canon era fic writers could come up with will ever be as cruel as modern au fic writers putting these guys in the most basic modern scenarios. like he was born to live & die by the blade, his story was over before it began. and you made him take the bus and work a 9 to 5 job

To add, when we talk about Israel's crimes against Palestinians, we must do that with the understanding that Israel views Palestinians as an existential threat. We cannot rationalise that, obviously, but this idea of Palestinians from all ages and walks of life, present a threat to the existence of Israel is a crucial point to consider in our discussions. To know that, to Israel, a Palestinian refugee poses as much threat to its existence as an armed Palestinian resistance fighter, is to understand why the former is denied the right of return under Israeli law. You can understand this further when you look at Israel’s history too, of how, for example, Israel’s military operation Plan Dalet sought to destroy Palestinian villages in 1948 that were "population centers which are difficult to control", all the way to today, when Israel kidnaps and imprisons over 600 children in the span of 8 months alone.
