Tyrian VS Clover VS Qrow
Can I rant about how nerfed Qrow is? Of course I can, this is Tumblr.
(Note that my basis is mostly hypothetical, and I might be the only one who thinks this makes sense. None of what I say might actually be the case in canon, I just think this makes a lot of sense)
First off, Tyrian. Notorious serial killer. This guy's probably around Clover's age (my thoughts only). That means be might have started killing at a young age (seventeen or eighteen, give or take). He obviously gained experience from that, but I then thought, "that depends on his targets. It's not like he'd gain massive battle XP by murdering normal, untrained civilians." When he went over to Salem's side, of course he must have faced off with and killed a number of Huntsmen, so he's got a few years of experience under his belt (note that I said few). He also has some mental issues that probably affect some of his fights.
Then there's Clover. Guy's the prefect soldier: perfect hair, perfect teeth, perfect patriotism, and a lot of loyalty. Positive son of a— anyways (no, I do not hate Clover). I theorized that his fishing pole weapon must be more out of sentimentality than practicality ("hey, a fishing pole is pretty fun to use! Let's kill Grimm and hunt down bad guys with a ridiculous (I call it ridiculous because what kind of potential Huntsmen would think of a fishing pole as the perfect weapon? I admit the guy uses it well, but seriously, who fricking thinks a fishing pole would strike fear into the enemy?) weapon!") so Clover might have had a humble beginning. He probably did something amazing enough that caught the eye of Sanctum academy, or maybe he got in the natural way, but point is, the guy has probably only ever experienced professional Huntsmen-level combat once he finished school. He's probably done pretty great in his field if he became Captain of the Ace Ops, but he's probably only ever faced Atlas threats.
Now, the moment you've all been scrolling for, Qrow Branwen. Dude was raised in a tribe in Mistral, out in the wilds with all the Grimm. He's probably been trained since he was young to fight Huntsmen, civilians, and Grimm. For years, he's probably been experiencing much more than any potential Huntsmen at his age should face. He's already gained massive experience if that were the case, then enrolled in Beacon at 17, and proceeded to become one of their top graduates along with his team. Even after this, he's been out most of the time, doing Ozpin's dirty work. He's nearly forty (my estimation), and he's been a spy for that long, going anywhere and everywhere when ordered to. Even when he was drunk, barely walking and seeing straight in his fight with Winter, he dealt massive damage and came out relatively unscathed. His entire life, he's been in battle.
Now, take one former serial killer turned Huntsmen-hunter, one golden boy who's fought threats to a single city, and a hardened former tribesman turned Huntsmen/spy who's been fighting nearly all his life.
And you're telling me he didn't wipe the floor with them?
Wtf Uncle Qrow, thought you went sober.
