31 & 34 for ur hofs, 38 for ur non-hof wardens? 👀
31. How does the Warden feel about being a Grey Warden and the sacrifices that entails?
gavin idealised the wardens, but that dream was about freedom from having to hide what he is (an apostate). the reality..... he does make his peace with it after seeing the archdemon, but that's hard to hold onto after the blight. he's left in charge — alone — and the slow grind of fighting the darkspawn into a stalemate really starts to get to him. he's relieved to get a chance to walk away from it.
roshan hates the wardens after his conscription but comes around on it as well. he’s honestly relieved to find out about the archdemon thing, because after killing tamlen he doesn’t feel like he can go on. there’s a lot of resentment after alistair & morrigan take that out of his hands. after the blight... he couldn't conscript someone unwilling, but he's at peace with this life for himself.
isaac…… beloved martyr complex isaac. he's an incredibly devout andrastian so the idea of the warden's soul being destroyed killing the archdemon is horrifying to him. that's something worse than death. the calling itself is something worse than death. he'll make those sacrifices himself, but he would not have had the stomach to recruit others willing or not (...unless they sold elves to tevinter)
ylva thinks it’s fucked. the idea of drinking the darkspawn blood already has her wanting to bail out. finding out how archdemons are killed is kind of a relief, knowing that there was a good reason for the sick ritual, at least. in the long run, she's comfortable sending others to their deaths against darkspawn, but she'd take a cure for herself if you gave her one, no question.
answered over here for diya! (putting the rest under the cut)
34. How does the Warden feel about becoming the Hero of Ferelden?
neither gavin or diya ever accept this title. as far as they're concerned it belongs to alistair and alistair alone. if pushed to talk about the blight, they'll always say they fought beside the hero of ferelden.
roshan finds it a little unsettling.after how much hostility he faced in ferelden during the blight, it's strange to be touted as a hero to shemlen. he doesn't have particularly strong feelings about it, but he's willing to use it to throw his weight around when it comes to securing better terms for the dalish.
isaac's already dead by the time he gets the title, but it was kind of his hope that something like that might happen. not because he wants to be known as a hero personally (too andrastian to be that proud lmao) but because that kind of status might protect the alienage after his death.
ylva just finds it funny. she'll use it to throw her weight around as well, but it means nothing to her tbh. now the title of paragon though...... that means something.
38. Is there any decision that the Warden regrets? If so, which is it and why? How would they change it?
salin's is so brutal because there's nothing she could've done but that won't stop it from haunting her... finding out about the architect's activities, knowing they maybe could have helped tamlen. it's a what if that's going to loom over her forever, i think. maybe he'd prefer to have died anyway, but she can never know for sure!
chaya's is always going to come down to not finding a way to talk isaac out of killing the archdemon. he was so young, and he had so much more to live for than either her or loghain. sure, they both ended up happier than either would've expected, but she'd have bartered that away for her brother to live without question.
qadir doesn't really have the capacity for regret anymore tbh. he does feel after the joining, but there's still a certain disconnect between him and the fade. mostly it just means he can't reliably draw on it anymore, but as far as his emotions go, they're a lot more fleeting. they don't linger in the way that regret does.
answered over here for diya!

1. Arloji Paling Apalah: Richard Mille RM 011 Felipe Massa Black Kite… KW.
2. Mobil Paling Apalah: Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale.
Lagi-lagi perkara barang mewah.
Kan.

17 essentielle Episoden von Arrow
1.1. Pilot/Die Rückkehr
Drehbuch: Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, Regie: David Nutter, Original Airdate: 10.10. 2012
Involvierte Charaktere: Oliver Queen, Moira Queen, Thea Queen, Robert Queen, Laurel Lance, Quentin Lance, Sara Lance, John Diggle, Tommy Merlyn, Walter Steele, Joanna de la Vega, Lucas Hilton, Adam Hunt, Raisa
 1.16. Dead to Rights/Demaskiert
Drehbuch:Geoff Johns, Regie: Glen Winter, Original Airdate: 27.02.2013
Involvierte Charaktere: Oliver Queen, Moira Queen, Thea Queen, Laurel Lance, Quentin Lance, Dinah Lance, John Diggle, Tommy Merlyn, Malcolm Merlyn, Floyd Lawton, Felicity Smoak, China White, Slade Wilson, McKenna Hall, Frank Chen, Frank Pike, Guillermo Barrera
  2.9/ 32. Three Ghosts/Drei Geister
Drehbuch: Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Geoff Johns, Ben Sokolowski, Regie: John Behring, Original Airdate: 11. 12. 2013
Involvierte Charaktere: Oliver Queen, Moira Queen, Thea Queen, Laurel Lance, Quentin Lance, Sara Lance, John Diggle, Felicity Smoak, Slade Wilson, Roy Haper, Barry Allen, Sebastian Blood, Shado, Lucas Hilton, Sin, Anthony Ivo, Tommy Merlyn, Cyrus Gold
 2.16/39. Suicide Squad Selbstmordkommano
Drehbuch: Keto Shimizu, Bryan Q Miller, Regie: Larry Teng, Original Airdate: 19.03.2014
Involvierte Charaktere: Oliver Queen, Moira Queen, Thea Queen, Laurel Lance, Quentin Lance, Sara Lance, John Diggle, Felicity Smoak, Roy Harper, Slade Wilson, Ben Turner, Ted Gaynor, Shado, Lyla Michaels, Amanda Waller, Mark Sheffer, Alexi Leonov, Gholem Qadir, Floyd Lawton
3.8/54. The Brave and the Bold/Blitzschnell
Drehbuch: Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Marc Guggenheim, Grainne Godfree, Regie: Jesse Warn, Original Airdate: 3.12.2014
Involvierte Charaktere: Oliver Queen, Thea Queen, Laurel Lance, Quentin Lance, John Diggle, Felicity Smoak, Roy Harper, Malcolm Merlyn, Barry Allen, Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon, Lyla Michaels, Amanda Waller, Digger Harkness
 3.9/55. The Climb/Duell
Drehbuch: Jake Coburn, Keto Shimizu, Regie: Thor Freudenthal, Original Airdate: 10.12. 2014
Involvierte Charaktere: Oliver Queen, Thea Queen, Laurel Lance, Quentin Lance, Dinah Lance, John Diggle, Felicity Smoak, Roy Harper, Malcolm Merlyn, Ray Palmer, Chien Na Wen, Ra’s al Ghul, Nyssa al Ghul, Maseo Yamashiro, Tatsu Yamashiro, Caitlin Snow
Staffel.
 4.5/ 74. Haunted/Seelenjagd
Drehbuch: Brian Ford Sullivan, Oscar Balderrama, Regie: John Badham, Original Airdate: 4.11.2015
Involvierte Charaktere: Oliver Queen, Thea Queen, Laurel Lance, Quentin Lance, Sara Lance, John Diggle, Felicity Smoak, Malcolm Merlyn, Damien Darkh, John Constantine, Curtis Holt, Baron Reiter, Conklin, Alex Davis, Ray Palmer
 4.19/88. Canary Cry/Abgesang
Drehbuch:Wendy Mercile, Beth Schwartz, Regie: Laura Belsey, Original Airdate: 27.4. 2016
Involvierte Charaktere: Oliver Queen, Thea Queen, Laurel Lance, Quentin Lance, Dinah Lance, John Diggle, Felicity Smoak, Malcolm Merlyn, Nyssa al Ghul, Alex Davis, Evelyn Sharp, Ruvé Adams, Dr. Schwartz
 5.8/100Invasion! (2)
Drehbuch: Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Wendy Mericle, Regie: James Bamford, Original Airdate: 30. November 2016
Involvierte Charaktere: Oliver Queen, John Diggle, Felicity Smoak, Thea Queen, Quentin Lance, Laurel Lance, Roy Harper, Malcolm Merlyn, Sara Lance, Ray Palmer, Damien Dahrk, Curtis Holt, Barry Allen, Moira Queen, Robert Queen, Cisco Ramon, Nate Heywood, Kara Danvers, Rene Ramirez, Rory Regan, Laura Washington, Tommy Merlyn, Slade Wilson, Gideon, Ra’s al Ghul, Firestorm, Joe
Involvierte Charaktere: Oliver Queen, John Diggle, Felicity Smoak, Curtis Holt, Adrian Chase, Malcolm Merlyn, Evelyn Sharp, Ishmael Gregor, Viktor, Anatoly Knyazev, Konstantin Kovar, Ivan, Gennady, Galina Venediktov
 6.5/120 Deathstroke returns/6.6/120 Promises kept
Drehbuch: Ben Sokolowski, Spiro Skentos, Oscar Balderrama, Rebecca Belotto, Regie; Joel Novoa,  Antonio Negret, Original Airdate: 9. November 2017/16. November 2017
Involvierte Charaktere: Oliver Queen, Felicity Smoak, John Diggle, Curtis Holt, Rene Ramirez, Dinah Drake, Slade Wilson, Samanda Watson, Nylander, Vincent Sobal, Joe Wilson, Emily Pollard, Shado, Ricardo Diaz, Lyla Michaels, Wiliam Clayton, Nick Anastas, JJ Diggle
 7.5/143 The Demon
Drehbuch: Benjamin Raab, Deric A. Hughes, Regie: Mark Bunting, Original Airdate: 12. November 2018
Involvierte Charaktere: Oliver Queen, Felicity Smoak, John Diggle, Curtis Holt, Dinah Drake, Laurel Lance Erde 2, Ricardo Diaz, Stanley Dover, Talia al Ghul, Anatoly Knyazev, Jarret Parker, Honor, Bethany Snow, Magee, Javelin, Dunbar, Bernard, Bell
 7.12/150 Emerald Archer
Drehbuch: Marc Guggenheim, Emilio Ortega Aldrich, Regie: Glen Winter, Original Airdate: 4. Februar 2019

4 for any/all wardens (warden ask game!)
4. Did the Warden have any romantic relationships before the game?
roshan was in a relationship with tamlen! they'd only really gotten their shit together and admitted they had serious feelings for each other about a year before the blight... but i mean, at least they got that year!
salin's deep in situationship hell with merrill by the time duncan shows up. they get in a serious argument after she's recruited, and it's pretty safe to say they consider themselves broken up after that if they were ever really together to begin with
isaac's gay and closeted at the start of the blight, so he's only really had flings that weren't really serious. there was one that could have been serious, if only he could bring himself to talk to his father about the whole arranged marriage situation... alas.
chaya's married (to nelaros) and has been for about ~15 years at the start of the blight. they have 3 daughters, and they do care about each other a great deal, but this marriage is already straining at the seams a bit even before chaya joins the wardens. they break it off officially several years after the blight.
ylva was also married, though her husband died a few years ago under somewhat suspicious circumstances. she's also had something on the side going on with gorim saelac for about 11 years... which coincidentally is only 2 years longer than her son has been alive. which could mean nothing!
diya, qadir & gavin have all had one off flings here and there but none of them could really say they've been in a relationship before. rookie numbers for both of the others compared to diya though because qadir's been tranquil for the last 3 years and gavin's had an embarrasing, one-sided crush on roderick (gilmore) for the last 4.... unfortunate!

20 bc i want to know about ur wardens haterisms
Tumblr media
haterism coming right up 🫡
20. Is there anyone in camp who they do not like? Why?
roshan gets off to a pretty abysmal start with alistair & morrigan because they’re both dicks when they meet zathrian’s clan. sure they don’t exactly get a warm welcome but they’re shemlen?? being let into the camp at all is more generous than they deserve tbh. morrigan trying to steal an elven artifact at the ruins later actually leads to roshan pulling a knife on her and alistair has to diffuse the situation, it’s that bad.
it’s a similar deal with salin tbh. she does not trust either of the shemlen around the clan she leads them to, especially since daveth is a thief. they don’t really do much to discourage that mistrust for the first few weeks either. she has to get in the habit of combing through daveth’s belongings every night for a while (he finds this sooooo funny. it does not discourage him) it’s a rough start with sten too, given his whole attitude towards magic & his…. comments when she asks him to tell her about his people.
dislike is too strong a word here but ylva honestly feels pretty hard done by that she’s been saddled with a party of 20-somethings. like they’re fine, mostly but when they get into moral debates she’s sooooo exhausted. you’ve barely left the house and already you’ve got Opinions, congrats. keep them to urselves 👍 sten and loghain are the only ones she doesn’t get this bone-tired frustration with, even leliana & diya are not exempt.
diya is similarly frustrated by leliana & wynne’s moralising not because she’s not willing to argue the point but because she just vehemently disagrees with them. faith as a subject is something that rubs her the wrong way especially, and she’s frequently irritated by their commentary on the chantry/maker/andraste. she’s had more than enough of the chant to last her for a lifetime, she doesn’t want to hear more.
on the flipside isaac and morrigan have a pretty tense relationship because of how ruthless she can be. it warms a little once he understands how much her upbringing influenced that, but she still crosses the line for him a lot of the time. he’s disappointed but not altogether surprised when she abandons them before the battle of denerim. he thought she cared, even if she had her own agenda, but clearly not. (she does care & regrets leaving, but it’s too late to change anything!)
qadir is ylva’s #1 hater which is truly something given that he’s tranquil or something close to it, anyway. he does NOT think the relationship between her and diya is a good thing (& obviously bc he’s tranquil this must be objectively true). he’s really curt with her but in a way that the tranquility always gives him plausible deniability 💀
this one’s obvious ig but chaya and loghain are at each other’s throats immediately. she’s not holding back at all, she wants him to be as miserable as fucking possible until some darkspawn gets him. loghain’s willing to accept he’s fucked up on plenty of things if pressed, but he’s also not just going to lie down and take it so it’s…… pretty heated. everyone at camp is half expecting the knives to come back out for a landmeet duel round 2, except they’re both careful not to cross that line. there are some extremely low blows though. as a servant at the palace, chaya’s been privy to an awful lot more of dirty laundry than loghain would’ve liked :)

Ooh I love this ask game so much, I love yapping about my Wardens and hearing about everyone else's, so have a couple of questions from me (or skip/ignore them if they aren't fun for your kids)
What is the Warden's name? Does it have a meaning behind it? How do they feel about their name?
How would you describe the Warden's personality before and after the prologue? Did it change much or did they remain the same?
1. What is the Warden's name? Does it have a meaning behind it? How do they feel about their name?
isaac & chaya are both names passed down in the family. isaac's named after his paternal great-grandfather & chaya's named after her aunt (adaia's sister). neither have particularly strong feelings about their names, but the convention of passing down family names is about to get much heavier connotations in the next generation with chaya and nelaros' kids (adaia & isa...... ough)
roshan's name is a bastardisation of revasan (lit. the place where freedom dwells) that's more common in the dialect of his mother's clan. she's the one who named him, before leaving him in ashalle's care shortly after his birth. he only even found out his mom was from a different clan during the last arlathven when he met his aunts and uncles, so it's a bit... complicated.
salin's full name, shiva'nasalin, comes from shivanas (dedication to duty) and enasalin (victory). it's a long name and a bit weighty. to her it represents her responsibilities as the keeper's second, though duty starts to take on a different meaning after the blight. if she's shortening it she vastly prefers salin to shiv (did NOT like that daveth was trying to make it sound more shem-y)
diya's named after her great-grandma (mom's side!) it's a pretty unusual name in ferelden, but that's bc her parents migrated down there from seheron :) "diya" is a name that's native to seheron, while her surname surana comes from the northern dalish dialect's form of "sulahn" -> to sing. her name's one of the only things she has left that ties her back to her heritage, so it's probably the one thing she would never try to scrub away from her past!
gavin, qadir & ylva are also family names. gavin's named after a maternal uncle, qadir after his (nevarran!) paternal grandfather & ylva after an ancestor in house aeducan who the deshyrs confirmed as regent for her son 9 years in a row (which could mean nothing)
2. How would you describe the Warden's personality before and after the prologue? Did it change much or did they remain the same?
i could go on forever, so i'll just talk about the ones who go through the biggest changes over the course of the prologue: roshan, salin, gavin & ylva. the others change a lot throughout the blight but these 4 get hit the hardest by the events of their respective origin.
for roshan & salin the events at the elven ruins are brutal because they lose tamlen then their clan. it's loss piled on loss, and i think they both feel the clan's refusal to keep looking for tamlen as a personal betrayal. for roshan because he can feel that tamlen's still out there, but no one wants to listen. for salin because she's dedicated her whole damn life to this clan and done everything to be a good second to her keeper, and she's just casting aside the lot of them like they're dead weight.
by the time they reach ostagar, roshan feels sick with guilt and lonely and angry. salin's trying to cover her grief by holding even more tightly to her rage. they are both in a very bad place.
gavin's in a similar place, though his anger's directed at duncan rather than at his family. he's been dragged out of highever kicking or screaming more or less, and when he does make it to ostagar no one will let him seek out fergus. he's told he has to wait until after the battle. it's 180 in character motivations, because he starts off bitter towards his father for keeping him away from ostagar (bc what if he accidentally reveals himself as an apostate!) only to reach ostagar and not give a damn about the blight at all.
you might expect ylva to be feeling similarly, but fortunately she's actually insane :) she does feel a little pity for trian, though in the end she knows she would've had to kill him herself if he couldn't manage to bow out on his own. still, getting killed by some duster their little brother paid off is just undignified...
mostly she's thinking about how to leverage her experience fighting darkpawn to help her advance through the ranks. she's not giving up on the crown, not by a long shot, but dwarven politics is a long game and she knows her interests are best served by doing some serious damage to the darkspawn up here. this also means that for the first time in her life she's showing an interest in the surfacer politics. it's a major shift from orzammar & she feels like she's playing catch-up

wip wednesday
ty to @ammoniteflesh for the tag!! haven't had a chance to do much writing the past few weeks so it gave me a little nudge to get back to it!
not sure if this little snippet will survive the editing process, but here's a little preview of irving pov for the night of surana's harrowing
The young templar, armoured fists clenched tightly at his side, reminds him of his former apprentice a little. Of course, the latter had tended towards anger and impatience rather than anxious fumbling, but the cause is the same. Too much youthful energy and the pursuit of perfection when they would be far better served by patience and a mind open to the counsel of their superiors.
Greagoir seems to be having better luck with his charge, at least.
Though his fists remain clenched tight, he meets his Knight Commander's gaze evenly, respect for authority evident in the way his posture straightens beneath Greagoir's palm.
"You are ready for this, Cullen," Greagoir tells him, voice teeming with assurance the way it always does when he attempts to instil the boy with confidence that won't truly be earned for many years yet.
The boy, Cullen, nods, though his lingering unease is still plain to see.
It is good, Irving thinks, that this youth hasn't the natural bluster and arrogance of many among their ranks. Under Greagoir's tutelage, they might shape a decent leader out of him, capable of thinking things through rather than swinging his sword blindly at every shadow. Far too early to say certain, freshly out of his Chantry training, but it's good to start early with these things.
"We will be at your side, standing vigil. You won't be alone, should an abomination emerge," Greagoir continues.
It won't come to that, of course, but the templars must make their preparations as always. Doctrine and discipline both demand it, given the danger they might all find themselves in should their vigilance falter at this particular watch. They must be neither too quick to strike, nor too late. Anything else would only result in needless bloodshed.
This Cullen, at least, is not thirsting at the prospect of shedding his protegée's blood which is some cause for relief.
When he speaks, at last, his voice comes out rough, croaky. It's clear that he takes notice of it as well, cheeks growing flushed even as he clears his throat, follows through.
"Is there truly no way to... restrain a mage, have someone force the demon back out?"
The boy's eyes snap to his when a chuckle spills from his throat, unbidden.
He's familiar enough with the way the chantry educates those in the order by now, knows that their instructions are clear that the only thing to do in the event of possession is to swing their blades down until no sign of life remains. Little need for preservation remains, as possession forfeits a mage's right to a funeral presided over by the chantry. Sinners, as they are, being doomed to wander the fade endlessly.
He must be truly reluctant to stain his blade to be asking for an alternative at this late stage.
"There is no way," he lies, a wry smile tugging at his lips.
Truly, Greagoir looks far too relieved at his words, as though he were preparing himself to silence him at a moments notice. He ought to know better than to suspect him of being foolish enough sharing that sort of information with a templar already reluctant to swing his blade.
The lie does need to serve its purpose at least, the spark of naive hope in the templar's eyes guttering like a snuffed candle.
Fortunately, there will be no need for violence of any kind tonight.
The few apprentices he takes into his tutelage are certainly not the sort of mages who would falter at the pivotal moment.

1, 2, 5, 9, 11, 12, 17, 19, 21, 27, 28, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, 38 and 39 for diya (mia) because every time i see her mentioned she fascinates me!
1. What is the Warden's name? Does it have a meaning behind it? How do they feel about their name?
answered over here!
2. How would you describe the Warden's personality before and after the prologue? Did it change much or did they remain the same?
during the prologue, her whole personality is a front. she knows she's being watched, so she tries to present an image of herself (pious, dutiful, meek) that's really far from what she's actually like (analytical, dry, a little mean, passionate abt selective interests & people she cares about). once she clocks how badly they need mages down at ostagar, she dials it up even further. "please don't conscript me duncan, i should rly face the consequences of my actions :(" *
on the other hand even if she is putting up a front here, her choosing to help jowan & knowingly putting herself at risk is the first step towards that pious girl scout mask falling away for good.
*idk if everyone's tried this particular dialogue yet, so i just need to let u know that if you do, knight commander greagoir says he's "glad you still know your place" killing the kinloch templars with hammers :))
putting the rest under the cut bc this is a LONG post
5. What are their thoughts on Duncan? How did they feel about his actions during the Joining?
she can't get a read on him which stresses her out.
she clocks that he's eyeing her as a recruit, but she's not actually interested in becoming a warden until jowan shares his plans with her and she realises she'll need a way out of the circle asap. duncan plays into her hands more or less, mostly because it also works for him. he needs a mage. he definitely picks up on what's going on towards the end though, and i think in this worldstate diya probably isn't entirely wrong that duncan has alistair watching over her to keep his shady new warden mage under templar supervision....
as for the joining, she thinks killing jory was pretty brutal and feels like there probably was a way of talking the guy into it. he didn't seem overly bright. she does make a note of duncan being pretty ruthless, but it moreso raises the question for her of if he got the position of warden-commander because he was ruthless, or became that ruthless because of the position. she never really gets to find out!
9. If the Warden was trapped in a nightmare, what would it be like?
getting trapped in a nightmare is a regular occurrence for diya, rip. i talked about this a bit here, but thus is the fate of somniari.
pre-blight, the worst of her recurring nightmares features a demon of rage that often takes the shape of an elven woman, burning in the fires of the alienage purge she witnessed as a child. post-broken circle most of her non-warden nightmares feature her friend qadir amell, turned into an abomination despite his tranquility. post-blight, most of her nightmares feature alistair & the archdemon :)))
really evil, because demons ultimately pull from your own memories. you can remind yourself you're not there anymore, but you can't always defend yourself by telling yourself it isn't real.
11. How did the Warden react to the truth of the werewolf curse?
she's devastated tbh...... but she also gets it. she's not sure she wouldn't have done the same, if not worse. she's honestly a little impressed at how skillfully he's crafted the curse, given her recent experiences in the circle. uldred was a good blood mage. zathrian is clearly much better.
12. Did the warden end Zathrian's curse?
she did. she's kind of gutted, because she'd honestly rather have had his mentorship than lose him to end the curse. she just can't justify it when the curse already has and inevitably will effect more than its intended targets. he could probably have talked her around on it if it were, but it's not a shems-only curse.... sorry zathrian :(
17. What was the Warden's reaction to seeing [insert character] in the Temple of Sacred Ashes?
i bent canon on this one. mostly to make it worse, but also because diya had already conscripted jowan. he's right there at the temple with her, and actually arguing they shouldn't fuck with the ashes (he is still sad abt lily....)
instead, she sees qadir at this temple, who is dead at this point. it fucks her up bad when he tells her she should forgive herself for what happened to him and that he'd forgiven her a long time ago. she does not take this advice :)
the whole thing is really upsetting to her, and it doesn't feel like a spiritual experience at all. it's the exact same feeling as when demons or spirits take the shapes of certain loved ones either to mess with her or to help. whatever their intent, it's intrusive and painful to have those memories dredged up.
19. Who are the people in camp that the Warden is closest with and why?
she's closest with gavin cousland bc out of everyone he's the most empathetic towards her when it comes out that she's been lying the whole time. as an apostate.... he knows something abt what that's like :) this could also have been the case with leliana, but diya's been so hurt by the chantry that leliana sharing her own religious experience (without any intent to influence her) feels hostile to her. this doesn't change until they see each other again during the events of inquisition.
she's actually pretty wary of morrigan at the start bc she thinks she's out to manipulate gavin (and she kind of is.... at first). their relationship warms up later on as she clocks morrigan's whole "oh shit what if i actually like him" mental breakdown.
she gets along swimmingly with zev right from the jump :) she thinks he's really funny, and the two of them are (recreationally) flirting with each other constantly. they're having the time of their lives exhausting their arsenal of pickup lines against eachother. zevran almost sounds like he means it, but diya's just deadpan the whole time which baffles everyone. morrigan's even more alarmed when gavin decides to get in on this bit.
alistair's understandably pretty wary of her for a while after the mask falls. i mean. she blackmails his uncle to pull a maleficar (who poisoned his other uncle!) out of prison. she bribes & pulls backroom deals with unscrupulous templars!!! then it turns out she's a blood mage herself!!!!!! it's really after the brecilian forest where he actually gets to see her real personality come out that he gradually stops seeing her as a dangerous unknown and starts actually liking her.
it's similar on her end with her starting off really wary of her "supervising templar" only to warm up to him as she stops seeing him as a danger to herself and starts seeing him as just... some guy. who's kinda funny. who she might be fond of. but like. just a little. it's not serious or anything.
21. Did the Warden romance anyone from their group? If so, what attracted them to their partner?
well. i don't know that you could call it a romance, with alistair. they were never together. they did both know the feelings were mutual though, i think.
diya never acts on them bc she knows he wouldn't be open to anything not serious & she doesn't think getting involved in sth serious makes sense when either of them could die soon. + what future could they even manage to have if they do manage to live?? she's had devastating crushes on straight girls and survived, she can get over this too. (alistair on the other hand just has the kingship that he's already sort-of accepted he'll have to step up to looming over him. why start something he knows he can't see through?)
they kiss exactly once, atop fort drakon.
that might be a little unfair on alistair's part, but he's about to die. dying men are allowed to be a little selfish, aren't they?
27. How does the Warden feel about what is happening in the Alienage? How do they feel about how elves are treated?
mad doesn't really cover it. she's from the alienage in denerim and had to live through a purge that still haunts her before she got taken to the circle. walking through the alienage when the gates are finally open again is like stepping into an old, familiar nightmare that's no less painful now than it was the first time.
she tears the slavers to shreds, and would have done the same to loghain if she knew it wouldn't have gotten the wardens banned from ferelden for good.
28. During the Landsmeet, who did the Warden choose to rule Ferelden and why? How did they come to that decision?
alistair, because she genuinely does think he'd try to do right by ferelden (elves and mages included). she can't say the same for anora. she knows he'll probably be miserable as king, but she's hoping that she & gavin would be able to support him through it.
she does try to broker a marriage between him and anora, but when it comes time to pick someone to duel loghain, she has to pick alistair. it's the best way to make his case for the crown, and the rest of them are either foreigners or mages. there's no way that wouldn't undermine his rule down the line. after alistair kills loghain, that agreement is dust, and selfishly (stupidly) she's a little glad for it.
31. How does the Warden feel about being a Grey Warden and the sacrifices that entails?
she'd take it over being in the tower, any day. she does see this is a sigh of how bad things are for mages that a slow death sentence is preferable to their normal state of existence though. it's part of what motivates her to leverage her status at the end of the blight to have anora declare the fereldan circle's independence. as for the sacrifices... more on that later.
32. If they could leave the Wardens, would they?
no. never. she wouldn't accept a cure for the calling, even if you handed it to her on a silver platter. she will see this through to the end, even if it means a miserable, ugly death in the deep roads.
33. Who killed the Archdemon and are they still alive?
alistair insisted on being the one to do it because he felt it was his duty to the wardens he outlived, to ferelden, and because he wouldn't have been able to live with it being either diya or gavin instead........ and no, he is not alive.
34. How does the Warden feel about becoming the Hero of Ferelden?
feels sick to her stomach every time someone calls her that. the response is always the same: "the only one who deserves that title died killing the archdemon."
she doesn't like to talk about the blight, not even to reminisce about the better days of it with old friends.
35. How is the Warden's personality like after the events of DAO? Did they change or are they still the same?
it's pretty drastic. she's a hollow shell of a person for the next few months, it's really bad. she stays in denerim for the funeral, the coronation and the arrival of the orlesian wardens, but she can barely take care of herself.
everyone has a little chat about how the hell they're meant to help her, and in the end they decide she should probably get out of ferelden for a while. and it does help! a little! she's never the same and that grief always stays with her, but she's able to function with a little distance from ferelden & the wardens where the reminders were constant.
it's a lot harder when she returns, and her coping mechanisms aren't necessarily the healthiest. one of them does happen to be overworking herself though, and she gets a hell of a lot done. lots of people and places are better off for it, even if she isn't :')
37. Is the Warden still in contact with anyone after the game's events? Are they still with their love interest, if they have one?
ough. well she's not with alistair, unless u count the various spirits and demons taking his shape, either to make it better or worse :(
she does stay in contact with many of the others though. with wynne it's only the occasional letter or two, but gavin's a regular pen-pal. they write as often as they can, and diya tries to plan ahead with leaving him addresses he'll be able to to reach her (and he returns the favour by leaving some hints on how to reach him & morrigan after he goes AWOL from the wardens)
her first trip out of ferelden is to antiva with zevran, partially because it's the closest, but also because everyone thinks having a goal will be good for her. and it is :) killing crows is a great reason to get out of bed :)
after they've done a pretty terrific job of cleaning house in antiva, she finally accepts sten's invitation to come see seheron. she's a little wary of qunari still, but she can't really resist the temptation to see her parents birthplace, and anyway she misses her friend. she ends up finding seheron really interesting (albeit stressful to exist in as a bas-saarebas). it takes her months before she can get any kind of response from her parents' clan after reaching out (because they think she's ben hassrath...) but she does eventually succeed at that too!
leliana and her don't contact each other at all between the temple of sacred ashes & the events of inquisition but diya does surprise her by responding to her missive to the fereldan wardens by showing up there herself. it's a bit wary on both sides to begin with, but they do manage to mend fences while she's there. i don't know if that helps or make things worse when diya does choose to stay in the fade to buy time for the inquisitor.
38. Is there any decision that the Warden regrets? If so, which is it and why? How would they change it?
answered here! to add onto that though, i think she does come to regret killing genitivi a little bit. she let bitterness drive her a bit when it came to the ashes, but with genitivi she was really just trying to stop him from getting the word out. evidently, that didn't work :/
39. Do the events of the Fifth Blight haunt the Warden or have they moved past it completely?
also answered here! (she will be haunted forever)

what kind of love are you?
tagged by @dragonologist-phd to put some ocs through this uquiz. ty for the tag!
insomnia crept in so i decided to just run all my wardens through & genuinely thrown by some of the results (but in a good way!) excerpting some of the interesting bits below for the sake of brevity
Diya Surana: Love as a Choice Love does not come to you easily, but every day you wake up and choose it. It would be so easy, wouldn't it, to grow cold and callous and grim. But you rise to greet the world, making the conscious effort to find something, anything to love. When you fall for someone, you do not kid yourself of their flaws. Instead, you resolve to see them for who they are, mistakes and all and you love them all the same.
Roshan Mahariel & Qadir Amell: Love as a Threshold Your love is free, and unquestioned, and here for wherever needs it. When you fall in love, it is as gentle as a breath in the night. When you fall for someone, it is without strings, without conditions, without need. You love with a giver’s heart and a giver’s hands and are made so much stronger for it.
Chaya Tabris & Ylva Aeducan: Love as a Flaw When you fall in love, it is with alarm bells ringing. It’s a problem and you would do anything to pass it off, burn it away, scoop it out of you with bare hands, or carved out with hooked knives before it can destroy you.
Sindri Brosca: Love as Youth Your love is buoyant. Your love is bountiful. It is ageless, and it will never age. When you fall in love, it is breathless. It is joyful and endless, it is magnificent. Your love skips rocks and tells stories, your love roasts marshmallows over fires, and laughs freely. Your love does not take itself too seriously.
Gavin Cousland: Love as Religion When you fall in love, it is as a baptism. You are born anew, made a believer in the divinity of the one you love most. Being loved by you is an ascension; it is holy and golden. It is all-consuming, and all-faithful, loyal as the dog.
Isaac Tabris: Love as the Dawn Love is new to you, isn’t it? A fresh discovery in a world you do not quite understand. Your love loves with bated breaths. Your love swoons and sighs and lingers under awnings. Your love romanticizes. Your love aches as tenderly as a bruise. You’re swollen with desire and idealizations.
