can you do a ghost x head doctor!reader? kind of that scenario where ghost is like, “i don’t want a regular plain nurse; i want reader 🙄” and reader is like, the head doctor of the medical wing or whatever, and doesn’t usually deal with regular military injuries, but puts up with ghost’s shit anyways? 😋
Superficial Wounds, Deep Devotion
Pairing: Simon 'Ghost' Riley x Reader
Genre: Fluff; Hurt/Comfort
"Need me to kiss it better?" She quips with a roll of her eyes.
"I'll take anything you prescribe." Comes the smooth answer. It draws out a snort of laughter from her as she turns around with the gauze.
"All you need is to stop scaring away the field medics." She steps in between his legs, wiping down the cut on his shoulder with disinfectant.
Masterlist
"Ghost?" Her head snaps up from the clipboard. "What's wrong with him?" She frowns, pushing down the bubbling panic in her chest.
"He's asking for you to treat him in room Q42."
"Is he bleeding?" The urgency itches just below her skin but her cool professionalism doesn't crack. She doesn't deal with superficial injuries, only the most complex cases. She's seen it all. Mangled faces, guts hanging out, disfigured bodies.
So the fact that they were asking for her-...
Wait.
"Is command asking me to see him?" She says slowly.
The soldier shakes his head. "No ma'am. It was a request from the Lieutenant himself."
She releases a slow exhale, relief tingling. "I'll see to it." She dismisses him with a wave, starting down the hall.
Simon had this...habit of seeking her out. It was a perk of his rank, she supposes, but she'd been the only one to treat him ever since they'd encountered each other way back when she was an on-site combat nurse.
It's impossible to forget seeing him for the first time. That skull mask of his was splattered blood red, a bullet wound in his shoulder as he sat on one of the dusty cots in the emergency tents they'd set up in the middle of the desert.
They'd just clicked.
She ended up treating him again after that, and that's when he started personally requesting her.
It hadn't taken long for the spark between them to explode into something intense and loving. He was the anchor to her stressful life, unshakable and a steady presence. She was his person, one of the only people he trusted with his injuries and his heart, the warmth that let him focus on being better.
Swinging open the door without knocking, the man in question sits there in all his glory in front of her.
Admittedly, the first she stares at is his chest. He's shirtless, a cut that she can tell is superficial and non-fatal from all the way by the door.
"You can come inside." His voice is amused and knowing, the bastard.
"Inviting me into my own house?" She swallows, but listens. The door is kicked shut behind her. The moment it's closed he tugs off his mask, the weary lines of his face much more prominent under the harsh fluorescent lighting of the room. "How was your op?" Stopping by the cot he's sitting on to press a quick kiss to his sweaty head, she breezes past him to the medical trolley nearby.
"Fine. Did what we had to." They both know he won't volunteer any more information. Just as she doesn't confide in him with every horrific injury she deals with, he doesn't expose her to the horrific things he has to do. A mutual withholding of information for the peace of mind of both parties.
"Thought you weren't due to come home until tomorrow. I was gonna meet you on the tarmac and everything."
"Surprise." He deadpans, making her snicker.
"You know, for the big bad Ghost you are, you sure need to cause such a fuss about a little cut." Gathering what she needs, she casts him a glance over her shoulder.
"Thought it was your job to make sure I was in the best state possible for deployment?"
She loves this back-and-forth they have. He does too, if the relaxed way he leans back on his arms is anything to go by. It had taken years and years to get to the place they are right now. Years of work, of communication and trust.
"It's my job to take care of the worst, highest profile cases."
"I'd say this is pretty urgent." This playful side of him came out when they were alone.
"Need me to kiss it better?" She quips with a roll of her eyes.
"I'll take anything you prescribe." Comes the smooth answer. It draws out a snort of laughter from her as she turns around with her spoils.
"Can I prescribe you to stop scaring away the field medics?" She steps in between his legs, wiping down the cut on his shoulder with disinfectant. He doesn't wince or cringe or even flinch at the burn, eyes fixed on her face as she works.
"I'm a Lieutenant, I can do what I want."
She pauses, raising an eyebrow. "Are you really pulling rank on me right now?"
He hums, sliding up to hold her hips, tugging her closer. "Don't seem to mind it when we're alone, love." A smirk tugs at his mouth when a flush creeps up the back of her neck. God, he loves that look on her.
"What's gotten into you?" Shaking her head but unable to push down a smile, she works on securing the gauze, taping it down. "Getting clingy, are we now?"
He...well he can't deny it. He doesn't want to tell her the reason for it either, even if she's subtly fishing for answers.
He'd been an inch away from getting shredded by flying shrapnel from a car bomb today.
If Gaz, quick-witted, sharp, Gaz hadn't yelled and yanked him to cover behind a brick wall he would've been embedded with scraps of metal and rusty nails.
Dead, as his namesake.
Ghost wasn't afraid of death. Ghost got up every day ready to not see the sunrise again. Ghost was a cold blooded machine ready to do whatever his orders were.
But Simon wanted to live.
Simon wanted to come home to her. Simon wanted the last thing he saw to be her smile. Simon selfishly wanted her more than any victory his rifle could earn him.
Ghost had been unfazed, Simon had realised the inevitability of the avoided consequence.
Lips press against his bare shoulder. Right, left, and then gently on the gauze. It brings him back to the present, his grip on her tightens for a moment. Her gaze is soft, knowing. Because of course it is. She's the only one who's been able to get into his head like this, been able to crack the code to thoughts he himself doesn't have the key for.
"Any of other glaringly dangerous injuries I need to take a look at?" His eyes follow the smooth line of her neck as she tilts her head towards him. He exhales, shifts, and pulls her closer without warning, banding a strong arm around her.
"Dunno. Think you might have to conduct a comprehensive examination."
She laughs against his lips and goes down with him when he shifts farther up the cot.

MASHLE author‘s Q&A from fan book translate!(2)
If there are some poor translations or errors, please point them out! I will correct them in time, thank you!
I will translate this in four parts!
Here are parts Q34-Q67! The original text and other parts can be found in the collection!
To the animation fans: There are slight references to the subsequent plot of the comics‼ ️ (Q34 and Q37) If you don’t want to be too comical, you can avoid it.
Q34: When Epidem met Dot, he said that the Ira Kreuz were very rare. What is the position of the Ira Kreuz people in the magic world? Are they regarded as a dangerous people? What does the cross scar on their head warn them about?
A34: They are probably regarded as very powerful people. The cross scar is a warning to their fighting instincts.
Q35: What kind of people are Lance and Dot’s roommates?
A35: Dot and Lance later lived in the same dormitory! Because both of them were very noisy, they were complained by their roommates!
Q36: Does Easton have a school song? Who sings the best among Lance, Dot, Lemon, Finn, and Mash?
A36: Yes! I think it should be Finn or Dot!
Q37: Who proposed riding horses in the God divisionary Exam?
A37: Dot! When men get together, the first thing we should do is ride horses!
Q38: Is Ryane's rabbit handkerchief sold to the public? I want to know if it is bought or homemade.
A38: Homemade! He can do needlework!
Q39: Is the little spider (the spider that tested Mash's magic during the battle, sorry I forgot his name! Kneel down 🧎) Ryane's servant? Or does Ryan call it when he needs help?
A39: He calls it when he needs it! It's always there!
Q40: Rayne Ames has the strength of a mid-to-high-level God divisionary, but I haven't seen him use the highest-level magic in the work - thirds magic (note: there is in the comics). Does the firepower he have means he has the ability to use thirds magic?
A40: Even among God-divisionary, there are not many people who can use thirds magic. Probably Light, Undying, Sand, and then Flame cane and Rayne. (The latter reply should be the battle power ranking. Flame cane's official website introduction clearly states that he is a double liner magician.)
Q41: Rayne is the director of the Magic Tools Administration Bureau. Was the rabbit phone designed and made by Ryane?
A41: It was specially made!
Q42: Abel said that only Rayne can resist Abyss's Demon Eye. I want to know how Ryan did it!
A42: The Demon Eye cannot last forever. I think this is the point!
Q43: What does a perfect do? Are there any privileges and benefits to being a perfect? Doesn't Rayne feel tired when he has to balance the work and study?
A43: Perfects are mainly responsible for managing students' attitudes towards life, etc.! Perfects have special baths! They are as tired and hard as entrepreneurs!
Q44: Who named the "Magia Lupus Arc"? Lord Abel? Is the ranking is selected by the number of coins collected?Does Abel choose the people who join? Or did they volunteer?
A44: Abel named it! He is actually a sensitive high school student, very cute. They are just ordinary Boy Scouts!!
Q45: Did the Magia Lupus Arc and Mash get together after the war?
A45: They got together to play poker! The endings in Mashle's world are basically good!
Q46: Please tell me the order of academic performance among the Magia Lupus Arc.
A46: The best student is Wirth! Then it should be Abel and Abyss.
Q47: Are the poker cards in Abel's personal property?
A47: Yes! Abel has a lot of poker cards!
Q48: Why does Abel cherish the broken doll in his arms and call it "Mom"?
A48: Because it overlaps with the scene that his mother passed away.
(I'm already in tears after seeing the above line. let me cry for a while)
(I'm done crying, let me continue translating!)
Q49: Abel's third line is artificial. Will he still have three lines in the future? Will he never go back to two lines?
A49: Because it was forcibly added, it's different from the normal three lines, and it won't go back to two lines!
Q50: It is said that Abyss's sword has a magic wand built into it. Will he use an extra magic wand during class?
A50: He will use an ordinary magic wand during class! But the output power is relatively small! (Sorry, but I imagined Abyss holding a sword and waving it around in class haha ...
Q51:Abyss is not good at talking to girls, how he talks to love cute?
A51:He Can't!!!!He watches the ceiling while talking to her.
Q52: Do you know why Abyss wears his hair in a bun or ponytail?
A52: A unique hairstyle may mean that he wants to be recognized... He may cut it short later!
Q53: Will love cute say things like "like or hate" or "am I cute" to other members of the Magia Lupus other than herself?
A53: All boys will be asked.
Q54: Why was Ryane so angry at Milo (the green-haired one of the Fourth Fang) in the ? Is it okay to kick him like that?
A54: Ryane is a bit extreme... Generally speaking, this is not a good job (crying)
Q55: What did Ansel Sinli (the Seventh Demon Fang, the one carrying two round plates) say in the last episode?
A55: "In my opinion, cream puffs are likely to contain cream."
Q56: Does Oror (the magic policeman) appear naked every time he casts a spell?
A56: It's pitiful, but that's how it is. (crying)
Q57: What kind of people are Ryoh's wife and son? If there is any story, please tell me!
A57: The wife is the kind of person who is broad-minded and said "Okay, okay" and then started dating (crying). The child admires his father!
Q58: Are the Ryho peripherals in the work certified by the author? Or are they made by fans?
A58: Certified by the author! ! ! ! ! (Please link it)
Q59: I want to join the Ryoh‘s fan club. Can I become member No. 0001?
A59: I admit it!
Q60: Why doesn't the robe on Orter's shoulders fall off?
A60: It's fixed by magic!
Q61: Why is Orter so short-sighted that his eyes have become "3"?
A61: He read too many books!
Q62: Can Orter’s sand magic turn himself into sand?
A62: It seems that he can't do that! But if you really work hard, you might be able to do it! (translator: It was done in the anime)
Q63: I want to know how Orter and Wirth address each other! What is their relationship like?
A63: They probably address each other with "お前" and "テメェ" (similar to "you bad guy" and "Hey")... They don't have a very good relationship! But it will get better one day!!!
Q64: Wirth said, "I have received elite education in magic since I was a child." Did Mr. Orter do the same thing?
A64: That's right!
Q65: I want to know why Kaldo wears gloves!
A65: Because it is so cool and making him handsome! ! ! ! !
Q66: What is the opportunity for Kaldo to like sweets? In addition, he has a strong impression of honey. Does he like sweets more than honey?
A66: He likes it after spreading honey on toast! He likes everything when it comes to sweets! My tongue is dying!
Q67: Which is better, Kaldo's honey salmon or Lemon's handmade cookies?
A67: Handmade cookies I guess? They are as bad for your health as the Ganges!
Q68: What is the name of Agito Tyrone's (Dragon Cone) pet dragon?
A68: Hipotan!
If you like, Can I please ask for a like
Comments are welcome to discuss anything! And suggestions for translation!

Magazine pages from Yasuyuki Okamura’s debut
+ translations
“In 1987: a singer to look out for– Yasuyuki Okamura”
An ideal type of guy: It's safe to let a girl who says she wants a kind and artistic guy to fix her, after experiencing love about a hundred times. The type is a girl who appears cold at first but is actually a good person. It's better to deal with someone like that after becoming more mature. In 1987, a beautiful egotist stirs up the world.
More pages and manuscripts under the cut ~
Appearing larger on stage is an extremely important talent for musicians. Superstars like Mick Jagger, David Bowie, and Bruce Springsteen are all just a little over 170 centimeters, not particularly tall by Western standards. However, on stage, they appear larger than life. When we saw Okamura before us during this photo shoot, he seemed much smaller than the stage image, despite being 178 centimeters tall. Yet, on stage, Okamura appeared like a giant, almost 190 centimeters tall. His debut happened on the massive stage of the Budokan, where he showcased an unusual presence for a newcomer. What will happen when his confidence and popularity as an artist further develop?

Q46: Finally, anything you want to say? Listen to “OUT OF BLUE”
Yasuyuki Okamura’s debut at the Budokan: “I want people to take the title 'YELLOW' in their own way when they hear it”
With his debut between last year and this year, it is safe to say with no exaggeration that Yasuyuki Okamura is one of most promising newcomers in the music industry… The interest in his work was sparked by him providing songs for Misato Watanabe and Koji Kikkawa among others. His first stage appearance was at the Nippon Budokan, shortly after the release of his debut single “OUT OF BLUE” (EPIC Sony). Despite the unusual format of a guest appearance at the public radio event, it was a success from the outset. He acted like a “show-off” but had a kind of “star” glamour.
“A debut show at the Budokan is something you’ll never experience again, and it’s a very special experience. I’m interested in doing more shows, because many people lack showmanship: the spirit is the best sense of the word.”
Okamura’s long-awaited debut album “YELLOW”, released in March, had been in the works for 10 months. Apart from some assistance with lyrics and arrangements, the music is all his own, self produced. In fact, this was apparently the reason for the album’s delay in completion.
“I was originally going to have someone else to write the lyrics: but when I did, the words didn’t really suit me. And so I wrote my own, I worked very hard but I can’t just leave it to someone else. If you don’t sing what you think, or what you think about yourself, you won’t inspire any affection for the song itself.”
His songs are filled with a quiet anger. In the flood of modern information and world affairs it sounds like a cry of “I won’t be fooled.” The problems plaguing the Middle East and famine in Africa are all sung about on an everyday level, transmitted through the brown noise of TV. However, there is a strong sense that the message is not being said out loud, but rather it is internally understood. “I don’t mean to sound like another 60s douche, but I’m not sure what I can even do about it. So naturally I have to be a bystander… There are a hundred different ways to receive the news, if that is the case, then it’s not for me to tell them to do this or that, but rather to leave it to themselves to understand. The title of the LP is “YELLOW”, I want everyone who hears it to take it in any way they want, so that’s why I gave it this title. It’s vague but I think it comes across well, though.” For example, the track ‘Water Bed’ on the LP interpolates The Beatles’ ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’ lyrics.
Yasuyuki Okamura will hold a one-man concert at Shibuya Public Hall on 22nd of April.

youtube

Numolition Review (Nintendo Switch OLED)
For this Numolition Review, Where our job is simple: flatten as many constructions as you can by setting up, adding up, and blowing up the numbers 1 to 9 through loads of mind-bending levels, bonus challenges, endless towers, and other unlockable game modes that offer endless replayability.
Numolition Review Pros:
- Cartoon graphics. - 333MB download size. - Puzzle gameplay. - Touchscreen controls support. - Opening training session. - Three game modes - main story, towers, and endless mode. - Gyroscope support. - Comic book panels style cutscenes and menus. - With gyroscope on you can move the comic book panels around. - Earn 1 to 3 stars per level. - Stars unlock new levels. - The gameplay revolves around swiping numbers together to make a new number, same numbers can then be exploded and cleared. - You can never match numbers to go higher than nine. - Simple controls. - Good workout for the brain. - Easy to learn mechanics. - Instant restart button. Numolition Review Cons: - No online or local leaderboards. - The criteria for stars are not explained well. - Little replay value. - Feels like a mobile game. - The music is repetitive and God-awful. Q47: "Some patients (with dissociative amnesia) develop PTSD later, especially when they become aware of the traumatic or stressful events that triggered their amnesia." As a polyfragmented system myself, I have always related to this heavily - not really experiencing the "classic PTSD symptoms" such as flashbacks and nightmares - and I am wondering if this may be a common experience for other polyfragmented systems. Do you happen to relate to this in any way? Please note that I am NOT talking about the normal gradual development of CPTSD/PTSD in general.
31.8%, 47 people said “Yes; I feel like I didn't really exhibit much of the "classic PTSD symptoms" until later in life”

There is one last question, which will be posted in the... FINAL reblog LMFAO. It just feels like it's worthy of its own section.
Polyfragmented Survey Results!
I'm so sorry it took me so long to get this out...
This post cannot contain all of the responses, so check the reblogs for the rest of the responses that weren't originally included in this post alone.
Ages ago, I put out a polyfragmented system experiences survey (you won't be able to see the questions with that link, it just links to the survey, but since it's been down, it just says thanks for taking the survey lol). It has taken me an extremely long time to finally get this out there.
TOTAL RESPONSES: 148 (1 person was not a polyfragmented system)
(By the way: the reason I had the first question ask whether the person taking the survey is a polyfragmented system is specifically because I wanted to make sure no non-polyfragmented systems were taking the survey because a non-polyfrag system took the previous survey before I updated it. To clear the confusion why I had that question).
Some disclaimers because I feel they are important to remember:
I'm obviously not a professional.
This survey is not professional.
This survey is biased towards Tumblr users.
While this survey can definitely shed light onto common polyfragmented system experiences, it's just not a professional survey and does have its own flaws.
Q1: Are you polyfragmented? - (148 responses)
73.6%, 109 people said “Yes”
24.7%, 36 people said “I'm not sure/I'm questioning if I'm polyfragmented”
1.4%, 2 people gave other responses
0.7%, 1 person said “No”
Q2: What does the term 'polyfragmented' mean to you personally? How do you define it/understand it?- (148 responses)
Most responses mentioned things such as: many alters, complex structure, many fragments, complex splitting patterns, frequent splitting, and more. Most people said the same/similar things, so it isn't worth sharing them, so I'll share responses I personally liked/interesting responses:
Well when we were first introduced to the term it was presented as "A system who had a large alter count, more around the hundreds" but now have come to learn that unfortunately the DID community had no authority or official language or terms and most of the community sees just about everything as "its whatever it means to you". Something that is just increasing in causing issues and fighting and not really helping at all and has caused quite a big toxic positivity movement. There is no official definition of polyfragmentation and this makes it almost meaningless. If you define it as a large number count others will lambast you for "getting it wrong", then others say its "complex" systems. What dose THAT mean? Who defines what complex means? Then it was (for about a week) claimed to be a RACOMA term, but that was quickly dropped as people got angry, again, over the community trying to define a simple word. People claiming "gatekeeping" and "stealing terms" I think its valid to want to define something yourself however if ALL of our words are just "defined by whoever is using it" dose that not make them meaningless? All this to say, I define Polyfragmented as a system who has 50+ alters as well as a large and complex inner structure (not necessarily an innerworld) that often occurs MOSTLY due to extreme traumas.
polyfragmentation to me is more than having a lot of distinct personalities or a lot of alters. its more about the opposite, really: not knowing yourself. you become so disconnected from "you" that you only focus about finding the best path that leads you to escaping the pain and the hurt. and when you're out, you dont know what to do because "you" became obsolete. its a process of figuring yourself out after that, and understanding how you are working with yourself to be "you."
Q3: Are you DIAGNOSED/MEDICALLY RECOGNIZED? - (148 responses)
34.5%, 51 people said “I am not diagnosed or medically recognized with DID or OSDD”
31.8%, 47 people said “I am diagnosed/medically recognized with DID”

DID/OSDD”
5.4%, 8 people said “I am diagnosed/medically recognized with a different dissociative
disorder, but NOT DID or OSDD (however I still suspect/believe I have DID/OSDD)”
2%, 3 people said “I am diagnosed/medically recognized with OSDD”
21 people gave other responses
Q4: Are you SELF-DIAGNOSED with DID or OSDD? (Or suspect that you have DID or OSDD) - (146 responses)

Q11: Do you feel like OSDD systems and DID systems should combine into one disorder, where there is a "dissociative identity disorder" kind of spectrum, rather than the two separate diagnoses? (OSDD would still exist as a label meaning "dissociative disorder that doesn't meet criteria of any other dissociative disorders", but this is asking about OSDD systems specifically - OSDD-1).
37%, 54 people said “Yes; I feel like OSDD-1 and DID shouldn't exist as separate diagnoses, there should be one diagnosis of DID for anyone that constitutes as being a "system" (meaning a person with DID/OSDD in this context)”
21.2%, 31 people said “No; OSDD-1 and DID systems should remain separate diagnoses”
18.5%, 27 people said “I think the term 'systems' includes people with other "parts-based" disorders/experiences, such as those with cPTSD, BPD, etc.”
50%, 73 people said “I think the lines between "DID", "OSDD", "cPTSD", "PTSD" and more are much blurrier than people think”
30.1%, 44 people said “I think combining the two might make it even more difficult to really "define" what a system "truly" is, since it's already difficult to really be able to see a true, hard line between DID/OSDD and PTSD, cPTSD, etc.”
18.2%, 27 people (also) gave other responses)
Q12: As a polyfragmented system, do you feel that your experiences are different from those who are not polyfragmented? - (146 responses)
38.4%, 56 people said “Yes, I believe my polyfragmented experiences are different from those who are not polyfragmented”

0%, No one said “No, I don't believe my experiences are really much different from those who are not polyfragmented”

A friend drew this from reading the first part of Q42. I had to explain that Yarrh was not actually a space pirate - but the picture is cool regardless!

2, 42, 46, 48, 49 since you asked :)
Aye (remember to answer mine!!)
2. What is your least favorite set you’ve madeOf course it’s the older gifs like this in which the arrangements and dimensions makes the whole set looks underwhelming or hardly visible. Not the best composition, certainly. Or things I wished I had coloured better like this. But overall, it’s in generally alright. Anything I really disliked would probably not have been posted.
42. How is your gif folder organized? Is it organized at all?
My gifs folder is just one single massive folder containing all my finished gifs - but organised by the drama/character names + episode number + gif number (usually this case).
And my screencap folder for gifmaking looks like this right now:
46. Ever gotten a really sweet compliment over a setYes!! Plenty! (I read tags, yup. Thank you all.
48. How would you describe your giffing styleMe doing whatever I want. (No, I really don’t know how I would describe it haha.)
49. How much would you say you’ve improved since you first started giffingCertainly quite a bit. A lot more confident and knowing what the heck I’m doing now, haha
