Pythia from PCFC is such a fun character concept?
Like, the show writers really created a character that not only is morally dubious at best (love boo for that fr) but still tries to do things for the benefit of others. And on top of that, they handed her the ability to just. Air other characters dirty laundry.
I know part of it is just like really shittily done exposition dumps bcuz she joined s3 where the show suddenly took a serious tone and they needed to do character building Quick, but whilst doing that, bun still gets to come across as buns own character.
And they let them be wrong too! And that provides really interesting conversations! Niki was the first person the analysis was mostly wrong about and that just went to improve Niki's character depth.
Pythia is just sooo precious to me

Opinions on Pythia?
@ghostkittypog
Unsure why this is a popular question, but alas, I must answer. That cat... witch.... thing? She is peculiar. Showing up out of nowhere outside my house, no introduction, nothing. I know I'm a murderer, but hey, I still have tact.
Then, they start spouting lies about attachment issues, clinging to people to an unhealthy degree. Yeah, they're deranged. And I still haven't got my favourite mug back that bun stole. I know you have it, Pythia. If you are somehow seeing this.

before we make any misconceptions about what my stance is on pcfc’s characters… there is ONE CHARACTER that I will admit that I defend uncritically, purely on emotion. Listen.
Pythia can do nothing wrong.
Have bun appeared as a menacing cheshire-cat-esque figure and dealt innumerable psychic damage to every character to ever have a speaking line in the show?
Have they delighted in the sudden floundering and fear on the faces of everyone she’s raked their claws into as boo ripped open their psyche to let their troubles spill like blood from a grievous wound?
Has xe shown time and time again no regret for these actions and stated their justification for these sudden conflicts and trips down memory lane every time to be “for your own good”?
Yes, absolutely, definitely.
But that doesn’t make Pythia wrong. It just means bun are well-meaning but not aware of what a gentler way to offer help looks like—and who can blame them in a world that is full of gratuitous violence, blood-spilling gods that bleed like mortals as they walk among them, and where eating someone—alive or dead—is considered an act of love.
I could never hate The Oracle, and judging by how the protagonist of the show (Skew) is becoming friends with them, I don’t think we were ever supposed to hate boo. (And to the people that agree Pythia is less of a villain than the general fandom seems to believe but ALSO reduce bun’s character to just *the therapist*… you really don’t get their character.
I will die on this hill.
#i’d imagine that seeing how pythia is getting introduced into the main cast via skew that we’ll finally be able to see more of her character#outside of causing psychic damage!!#(the background world of pcfc is just as rich as the internal world of the main cast—i caught so many pythia cameos <3)#pcfc#pcfc pythia#angels could murder the whole cast and i’d still forgive them and defend xem#unreality

Sometimes I just have to think about the foreshadowing that went into Pythia becoming the Narrator... Bun was introduced as a gimmick character that was mainly there for exposition through boos attempts to help the other characters around angel. She always had a Knack for what was going on at any given time, and in episodes like s5e9 and even as early as s3e1, we see xem refer to things characters are going through in places far away from where Pythia was with no way to Know without having been there.
Some of it got explained away as Pythia being a literal witch, but it still resonates as foreshadowing to that aspect of xyr future. Like the teleportation habit. Where she would just... pop up unexpectedly before disappearing later in a little flurry of sparkles.
Pythia means so much to me yall
Not sure how coherent this post is but I just... Pythia <3

Who invited you here? Seriously. Now I have to deal with the lies you like to spout here, too. Is nothing sacred?
do you feel secure in your obsessive committed relationship with evil alter?
Why would you ask that? That's an odd question. I feel very secure, so secure, in fact, that people like you who are trying to create feelings of insecurity to otherwise become close to Evil should give up, its pitiful.
...
I did not answer their question by saying this. Shut up.

so real
i don’t think i will ever defend skew as much as i defend pythia but seeing how the writers left his arc at the end of season 10? I MUST defend him, I must give it a chance!! The writing team and animation team cooked SO HARD on that season finale and clearly have hope for its character again and a story they want to tell!!
I want them to have the chance to tell it and for Skew (and the show and every character in it) to grow beyond the gore-fest it looks like!!

#this is definitely not the sum cost fallacy in effect and having watching 10 seasons of this that i just want a good resolution…#i just want good things for pythia and it seems like the show writers have actual passion for the show again#pcfc#pcfc meta#unreality

And what would you know of my supposed denial, stranger? We have never met before, at least the cat creature had a leg to stand on in that regard.
As for the mug, perhaps - now that I think on it. But, no matter, Pythia should not have taken it to begin with.
[OOC: Yeah for sure!!! Dm me if you'd like <3 and you should totally make a Pythia alt it'd be so fun to have other characters to interact with!!! (Posted this to my main the first time, if you saw anything no you didn't!)]
