hector is absolutely the first person elle calls when she’s in actual serious trouble

she loves nick, but as a result, she doesn’t ever want to worry him unless she absolutely has to. and if the shit hits the fan, and she needs someone to help pull her ass out of a fire that’s distinctly not safe or legal, hector is the one she wants there with her

even though she knows full well she’s gonna hear it until the end of time, and she’s gonna have to pay him back somehow, and sneaking him cakes when elizabeth isn’t working wouldn’t be enough depending on exactly how much trouble she’s in — he’s still the one she reaches for first

the first time elle asks hector how he became immortal, it’s not long after house dies — long enough for her to have recovered enough to start coming back out of her shell again. i severely doubt hector actually tells her, but with prodding (not even a whole lot of prodding, given her sensitive state and hector’s … hector-ness), it’d become clear that she’s not asking for herself

she’s asking out of a heartbroken desire to not lose anyone else — or, in house’s case, protect someone she cares about from herself. because while in the end, elle comes to the reluctant conclusion that mr. house shouldn’t have been allowed to have vegas, anyway — that close to his death, she’s just emotionally shattered and can’t stop blaming herself for killing someone who trusted her unquestioningly

hey, remember the idea of hector and elle reuniting in the commonwealth in her sosu verse? and the one about elle running into hector when she’s pre-war, so for him it was back before he knew her? yeah, let’s revisit all that

remember how i talked about how i’m adopting @justificd‘s idea of covenant grabbing nick and experimenting on him as canon for elle’s sosu stuff? and how, after elle finds and rescues him, she goes back and razes covenant in a fit of joshua graham-like fury? and she takes x6-88 with her when she does it?

in this version of things, she brings hector, too

and she’s still gonna be scared of herself in the aftermath. but where she never mentions that to x6, she would to hector. she’d actually be able to sit down and talk out how she feels about the whole thing with someone — because while she does eventually tell deacon after he tells her about barbara and the deathclaws, i don’t think she’d actually lay everything out when she does. there’d be a lot she’d leave out

but with hector? … she wouldn’t. and she’d know that he absolutely supported her in the idea of burning the place to the ground, and she’d know very well by then that he isn’t the person to turn to when she needs her morals sorted out — but he’d have been there with her through so much. he knows her history. he knows how she thinks, he knows what she struggles with. and he wouldn’t judge her. and she’d need his ability to cut the bullshit and bring her to ground. she’d need to clear her head, and work out where she stands and who she is, and she’d consider hector to be the best person to be there for that

x1. Yondu HATES Africa by Toto. Every time he hears it, he wants to break his dang index finger hitting the skip button on his sound system at work. But he lets it play, because it’s also his friends favorite song. (He wants to die inside every time he hears it, because it makes him think of Hector).

x2. They’ve had one too many nights where they have dared each other to shotgun their beers. Both of them are too stubborn to admit defeat, and drink too much to be able to call it quits anyways. Their alcohol tolerance game isn’t weak.

The spur of the moment trip had been a response to stressors, but the liquor had been an extra benefit to it all. But what hadn’t been expected was how she had asked a stranger in a bar if he wanted a shot. One shot had led to another and another until the moment that everything had become a blur like never experienced before.

It was a strange voice that broke her from a drunken sleep. Lisa’s head pounded as she felt the light pouring in through the motel curtains. Turning towards the voice, she couldn’t help but sigh and lay her head back down on the pillow.

Sleepy eyes took her chosen lover in and a soft sigh escaped her as she remained in her place. Even with a tired sigh, a small smile pulled across her lips at the realization that she had overcame one hurdle that came with divorced like.

“You’re the first person that’s not Charlie that I’ve slept with in nearly two decades,” her words were soft, sleepy as she slowly moved to pull herself up, but almost immediately her hangover was ripped from her as she took notice of the cheap ring upon her left hand.

“What the hell is this,” she turned to him and reached for his hand, wanting to see if he held a matching ring, “Please tell me that we didn’t...”

She has a snack drawer in her house for him. She doesn’t call the cops when he climbs in her window. He introduced her to honey mustard sauce. She thinks he’s smarter than herself which is basically an olympic feat. He doesn’t annoy her like most people do -- instead of getting on her nerves he walks between her nerves. She likes arguing with him, it’s fun. She’s also trying her best to keep him at an arm's length, physically even though she doesn’t have to with him (in that verse, where she y'know, kills everything else by merely existing). Marcie knows basically nothing about him but their respective situations makes him special to her by proxy, and she doesn’t want to objectify him or rely on him or get attached to his company. She’s been ‘fine’ all by herself all these years and she doesn’t deal with change well, and he’s the face of change in her life.

i.   elizabeth does not have a lot of scars. or she didn’t have a lot of scars before hector barbossa starting kicking her ass into the dirt on the daily trainin her. thanks hector. 

ii.   a good portion of the training doesn’t actually involve physical training tho. a lot of it is just elizabeth shadowing him, watching him and learning from that. sometimes they talk about what she saw and why it worked or didnt work but not necessarily every single time.

iii. elizabeth pranks him. once. 

iv.  she does actually kinda question her relationship with will because of him. not because she has the hots for him or anything, but because of the vast difference in treatment and the way he trains her to question everything all of the time.

a fc not really, i tend to be skeptical about people who use musicians or youtubers as faceclaims because it just seems weird to me, but no i don’t think anyone’s ruined a faceclaim. as far as a character though, yeah. i have 0 interest in interacting with anyone from the overwatch fandom because of a falling out i had with two previous friends, but two specific characters especially (soldier 76 and tracer). i just don’t like to think about them so i prefer to stay away from the fandom as a whole, but those two characters are an especially sore spot.
