Within the Saqqara complex, there is the Pryamid of Djoser but what was even more interesting was the Serapheum. This ancient Egyptian underground labyrinth is home to 24 megalithic, highly-polished boxes that weigh 100 tonnes (220462 pounds!) each!!! It is said to be a burial place for the Apis Bulls........ however, no remains were found inside. How were these giant stone boxes created and brought underground into the tunnels? What was their intended purpose or function? Egypt is seeming to offer more questions than answers!!! #unsolvedmysteries #saqqara #serepheum #pyramidofdjoser #egypt #traveltodiscover (at Saqqara, Al Jizah, Egypt)
