Just Friends…

It was the 25th annual function of their college. The auditorium was filled with students,professors and guests. While everyone had already taken their seats, he stood their looking for a girl, his girl, his dream girl ! After few minutes of analyzing the auditorium, he saw her approaching towards him amidst the crowd, wearing a pink Saree, with bangles and a bindi and open hair. Although she was struggling with her 'pallu', he couldn't take his eyes off her. "Kaisi lag rahi hoon main Aarif?" She questioned once she stood before him. "Stunning", he replied. "It's so difficult to handle this 'pallu' and all. I don't know how people manage with it."she complained. He looked into her eyes, took the 'pallu' from her hand and tucked it in her waist. She was numb for a moment when she felt his fingers on her waist. But gaining consciousness, she thanked him and smiled. "Accha I have to go, my performance is next."she said and rushed towards the back stage.While he was busy admiring her performing on the stage, a friend of his interrupted in between by saying,"Bol kyu nahi dete usko?" "Kya?" He asked. "That you love her."replied his friend. "No.I cannot " "But why Aarif?Soniya loves you too." "I know but it's not possible." "I'm Md.Aarif Khan and she's Soniya Gupta.Do I need to explain anything further?" "I don't want to create any miseries in her life with my confession, and so I've decided to remain silent." His friend was speechless. As she descended down the stage after her performance, he quickly wiped his tears and greeted her with appreciation. "Your performance was amazing",said Aarif. "Thank you buddhu ",she teased him and ran away. "Ruko,abhi batate hai"he said as he chased her. Because some relationships are only limited to friendship.

Mainly cuz I’m the biggest noob there is.
