HoneyBee
Chapter Two: Chased or Chase
‘Why continue to chase after someone when they deserve the moon, and you simply can’t give it to them,’- Sam Witwicky
2
Tonight was perfect.
Not only was (Y/n) able to warm up her meal from ‘Honey’s Waffles’ without ruining the quality, but she was able to watch her favorite movie before falling asleep. The covers were warm, along with the hand sewn quilt her grandmother made her in the ninth grade. The stars were hand stitched, along with her favorite constellations.
It was beautiful, in the far right square at the very bottom was a stitched planet from her family's stories her grandfather told. She still remembers the tears she shed that night on her birthday, Sam’s laughter at how ugly her face scrunched up as fat tears rolled down. It was one of the memories she cherished the most, things were so simple back then, but here they were last year of highschool and college acceptance letters littered her simi neat desk.
She rolled over, snuggling into the bear on the other side of the bed as she thought about the handsome boy from earlier. The girl bit her lip as a giggle bubbled up behind her lips as she tried to keep the feeling at bay. He was a stranger, and yet he left her feeling like she was the only one in the world at that moment. She could still feel the lips that whispered against her ear at the soft promise to see her again.
(Y/n) will admit, she's looking forward to the possibility of the boy walking through the large doors of her family's library. It was another one of her pride that she did not take lightly, and sharing it with someone she saw as a romantic interest was something she most definitely wanted to share. She rarely had crushes of course, she spent so much time on school work and stories to really experience dating and here she was, imagining scenarios of her reading him her favorite book as they snuggled on the couch.
Her mind wandered back to the illusion episode she had in the car, it came out of nowhere but left her hot and heavy. The hands seemed to know where to go on her body as if they'd done it so many times before
A yawn escaped her plump lips getting comfortable underneath the warm blankets, now all she had to do was get a few more hours of sleep before-,
Her phone started to go off, the ringtone blaring to life with the three women's voices taking over singing ‘Soldier’. A groan left her lips as she slugged her arm over to grab the phone from the nightstand. The screen blinded her as the contact read ‘Lord Witwicky >:(‘ appeared with three text messages.
With a sigh (Y/n) answered, praying he wasn’t calling her to tell her about a dream he had about Mikaela.
“Yes Sam-”
“(Y-Y/n)! I need you to bike down to the end of your block right now! M-My car is being stolen-they're about to pass your street!” Sam's breathing sounded panicked and out of breath, he let out a yelp as the phone shuffled a bit.
“Whoa-wait that doesn't make any sense?!,” She was already putting on her shoes, forgetting the shorts and tank she had on before dashing outside to her black bike, “Why did you call me-Call the police!”
“I did! You try to speak to the police-when you can barely breath! It's been so long since I've biked this much I’m out of shape,”
She biked down to the end of her street and sure enough the black and yellow camaro drove full speed ahead, deciding to follow she made a full dash behind them. The windows were oddly tinted from what she could tell but it didn't make sense due to the fact they were not the few times she was in the car.
Sam soon caught up with her, their speed wasn’t as fast as the vehicle ,but they were able to keep on its tail the whole entire time. Her breathing was labored as they passed many streets in pursuit of the speeding vehicle, it was a miracle for the robber that the streets were clear this time of night. It wasn’t long before the pursuit led them onto private property, the car rammed right through the gate without mercy.
(Y/n) stopped as Sam kept biking on through the gate, “Sam! This is private property!”
The boy didn't seem to hear her as he was more focused on retrieving his car. Sam's form disappeared behind the corner of the building , the girl groaned in frustration and followed against her better judgment. She soon caught up with her friend on foot leaving her bike where he left his.
“Sam we have to leave-”
Sam covered her mouth, pointing up at the large emerging figure in front of the powerplant. (Y/n) looked up at the sight before her in great fascination. The robot's form was one to take a gander at. From the clear Chevrolet bust to the wings on the back being the doors. A quirk of a smile made way on her face at the sight before her
Sam ducked down and began recording on his phone, “Hello, My name is Sam Witwicky! I am here with my best friend (Y/n) (L/n)-who ever finds this my car is alive-okay,” He held up the phone to the robot, accidently getting (Y/n)’s curious expression in the process, “I-If this is my last words-I just wanted to say, Mom-Dad I love you and if you find ‘Busties Beauties’ under my bed it wasn’t mine! I'm holding it for Miles! No-no-wait that's not true it's mine-Miles gave it to me I'm sorry! Mojo, I love you.``
Sam hug up the phone and slowly picked himself up from the ground, He grabbed (Y/n) pulling her along from the massive robot shining the light into the night.
Her gaze never left the figure, something inside of her tugged her soul back towards the massive being. The same being from the stories her grandfather told her about each night. It was different from what she'd imagined, but she wasn't disappointed-not one bit. (Y/n) heard they came in a variety of many shapes and sizes, just like humans only their forms were more mechanical and they could live for ages in comparison.
The girl turned her excited gaze back to Sam,“What do you think it was? Pops told me stories about this-” She was cut off with the boy silencing her, it took a moment before she heard it, the low growl of a predator.
The two teens moved slowly, watching the dogs carefully looking for a means of escape; Unfortunately, (Y/n) wasn’t one to dwell with danger, in fact her first response was to run from it. Sam was hot on her heels, the growls of the two dogs growing near with each turn the two took. The two teens jumped and dodge obstacles in the wake, trying to escape the threatening jaws of punishment.
“H-hey! Good Dog! Good Dog-!”
“Shut up Sam! And Run!”
They both ended up in a dead end, both fending for themselves on a large crate to escape the large jaws of disapproval. One ended up biting the girl's shoe, leading to her yelling in panic, Sam tried to grab a hold of her before she could fall. Before the black dog could jump and attack again, the black and yellow car crashed through just in time, Sam never looked more scared in his life as the vehicle circled them drawing away the dogs from earlier.
“H-hey! Please-Please don't kill us! I'm sorry! Here's the keys-you can have em’! Cars all yours!” Sam threw the keys at the car, pulling (Y/n) along with him outside.
(Y/n) froze once the cop car pulled up in front of them, Sam was relieved rushing up to them in panic, “Woah-woah-listen-listen-listen!Good your here!-”
“Let me see your hands!” Both officers immediately pulled both firearms pointing at the two of them, the girl felt bile in her throat, and immediately placed her hands up walking over in compliance.
“Wait-no no no-what you mean? The guys inside-?!”
“Shut up! Put your hands behind your head, and put your head on the hood.” Both of them complied, Sam looked over at his friend noticing her expression. (Y/n)’s eyes were filled with tears, a bitter snarl on her lips as she was handcuffed first beside him. He immediately regretted calling her tonight.
~✯~
The car ride was tense between the two teens as Ron drove (Y/n) home. Their time at the police office was surely interesting, the two cops never let up on her, not once. She's been many things in her life, but never had she been called a drug addict and a thug.
It hurt, it hurt so bad and she never knew those two men in her life. It was the fact it took Sam asking, ‘Why are you guys only questioning her? I'm the one who called!’ for them to finally let up on their verbal abuse. She was so tired and worn out. It left a mental strain to know she actually went to jail, and was arrested for simply trying to help.
Sam shifted awkwardly in his seat, “(Y/n), I’m sorry-”
“Save it,” Her tone was bitter and hurt, a struggled breath left her in trying hard not to cry, “Out of all things I’ve done for you this is the one thing-the one thing I deeply regret.”
The boy looked at her hurt, “You don't mean that-”
“Sam,” Ron tried to shut his son up.
“No-she doesn't mean that! (Y/n) you always said were in it together-”
“When has there been an us as of late!” The Afro headed girl finally snapped, “Every single time you ask for something it's for your benefit! When have you ever done me a favor-!”
“Plenty of times!”
“Name one Samuel!”
Sam paused for a moment, rethinking the last time he actually offered to help her with something. Ron looked at his son in the corner of his eye in frustration, he knew this would somehow come back to bite his son in the ass. The boy sighed against the seat in frustration.
“I-I’m sorry-I didn't realize that I neglected this part of our friendship-”
“You did the moment you let Miles degrade me and keep him around-over and over-This! This is the tip of the iceberg Sam!,” (Y/n) sighed, “You’d rather have any friend to talk to-and any girl to stare at you and caress you without actually making the steps to build something, without thinking of them in a lewd manner-”
“Hey guys-let's not say anything we might regret-”
“I mean every-fucking-word. I've been nothing but a good friend-not only did I give you the car I wanted-but I helped you with a girl who didn't give two shits about you-who-hell-didn't even know your name till sixteen hours ago and I still corrected her-”
“Mikaela doesn't have to do with anything in regards to the conversation-”
“Of course she doesn't! But everytime shes not around and your with me you have to bring her up twenty four seven-”
“Guys-”
“Oh-oh really? You wanna bring that up? How about we talk about how you basically were talking with a stranger and was basically inviting him to fu-”
Ron smacked his son's head before he could finish, but the damage was done, (Y/n) sat back in the seat , tears seeped her lips as she stared out the window. Sam acknowledged his mistake ,and didn't say another word for the rest of the car ride.
Mr. Witwicky dropped the girl off and watched her sad figure walk inside the house, he looked back at Sam, a deep frown placed on his face. “Out of everything to say, you allude to her being a prostitute-”
“She was bashing Mikaela-”
“She wasn’t bashing that girl, and you know it!” Mr Witwicky threw his hands to the roof of the vehicle in frustration, “She was pointing out how you take the things you have for granted, especially your friendship. To be honest I thought you'd grow up and be smart and realize that (Y/n) is the one you should be running after, not some chick who messes with jocks and because she looks like a pornstar,”
Sam looked at the door (Y/n) walked through, the lights were on-signaling her Nana was awake, it was no doubt she would be interrogated. He knew his dad didn’t mean to insult Mikaela, so he let it slide; but he still didn’t like how both of them were right. He did have a habit of chasing after girls who focused more on popular guys than schoolwork.
“She’ll never see me that way, she only has stuck around because we’re all we have-“
“Oh so “friends” wake up at 2 o’clock at night, go on a car chase and get arrested for someone because their friends,” The boy's father was deeply disappointed, watching the girl he watched grow along his son wasn’t something to idle by. (Y/n)’s reputation would be described as pure since middle school and on; However, tonight tainted the innocent record that landed her many scholarships.
“Think about all the things she lost, do you honestly want to take away the one thing she wanted to achieve in life?! Her degree in robotics, her minor in creative writing-“
Sam sighed in frustration, his father didn’t even finish he was so heated with the night of events. It was his first time being arrested along with (Y/n), however it didn’t affect him as much since his father was head of the neighborhood watch.
“I-I couldn't see her that way! I chose to see her as a sister-and whenever I entertained that idea it just seemed wrong!” Sam looked at his dad, a pained expression morphed on his face from the night of events, “I know I'm not the one for her Dad, these past few years proved it. Yesterday, I was so jealous at the thought of another guy stealing what we have with each other, then I realized how toxic I would've been-to keep her single while I kept looking for someone else like her.”
Ron frowned slowly realizing what his son was venting. He knew the answer but decided to ask anyway. “Did you fall in love with her and give up?”
Sams face twisted and turned his head out the window once more, the night sky suddenly looked more interesting, “Why continue to chase after someone when they deserve the moon, and you simply can’t give it to them,”
~✯~
The two women were silent as they looked at eachother, it was overwhelming to say the least. (Y/n) had expected to see a belt, her laptop and favorite belongings on full display in front of Nana awaiting her punishment. Instead she wasn't seeing any of that, her grandmother simply sat on the sofa with her hands in her lap staring up at her with worried eyes.
She stood in the living room, tears running down her face, her twists were in a disheveled bun from the night of events and her pajamas were dirty. Her Nana gave her a once over, spotting the scrap on the girl's knee that wasn't banaged. You’d think the girl would have noticed her injury, she guessed the adrenaline as she ran from the dogs made up for it.
A sharp inhale caused (Y/n) to flinch, much to her grandmother's dismay, “You don't have to be so tense, I talked with Ron on the phone. I know it wasn't your fault sweetheart,” The older woman stood up from the sofa and waved a hand gesturing towards the kitchen. “Let's fix you up, then you can tell me your side of the story.”
(Y/n) stood still in the doorway, a sharp needle of anxiety pierced her heart, “You're not mad? Or disappointed-?”
“Not mad, just worried. And the only way I would have been disappointed was if you hadn’t complied when told to-that would have put you in more danger.”
The two of them made their way to the kitchen, the light in the room seemed to calm her down for the most part but she was still unsettled from everything that had happened. She couldn’t forget the words the men had spoken to her in such a derogatory manner. (Y/n) normally would’ve rolled it off her shoulder, but something about tonight hit her like a storm.
‘We get girls like you in this seat all the time, star students by day-druggies by night’
‘Such a shame, we've got nothing but good things about you on file. It seems everyone has a devil inside them-’
‘What do you expect? Their kind is more susceptible to the life of crime anyway. Especially females, they love the rush of a thug being their man-ain’t that right girl?’
The second cop was so racist to a point where she didn't understand. The other one was treating her and Sam to the same treatment where the other was just so discriminatory. She's sure a good bath and drowning herself in movies would help, after all it wasn't like racism didn't exist; everywhere- even on cybertron that's how she learned about the subject anyway-especially with Nana's concerns of her going to middle school not knowing about the subject.
(Y/n) flinched as her grandmother cleaned the cut, she felt like a little girl again watching how she carefully cleaned the cut with peroxide before dabbing on some neosporin. If she wasnt so traumatized she'd be convinced she had just fallen off her bike after learning for the first time. Pop’s carrying her back in the house as she sucked on a popsicle through blurry eyes of frustration.
“You're lucky it was just grazed, nothing too deep,” Her Nana placed a kiss over the band-aid before putting the medical supplies away, “Now do you wanna tell me why you chased after that vehicle?”
The girl let out a shaky breath before starting the disgruntled tale. Her grandmother had fixed herself tea as she listened, sometimes she would interrupt and ask questions; ‘How tinted were the windows?’ ‘Could you see the driver?’ ‘Did the motor sound weird?’. It wasn’t long before she paused mid story when she accidentally spilled that they saw something, Nana gazed at her telling to continue, but her mouth became dry. Her grandmother didn't react well last time when she mentioned the insignia, how was she supposed to tell her about the robot she saw? She could hardly believe it herself from what her own eyes had captured.
“You-you wouldn’t believe me anyway-”
“Try me,” The cup was sat down, the kind gaze never wavering as she looked at her, “Me and your grandfather have seen and experienced many things (Y/n), that many people wouldn't believe unless they've seen it for themselves.”
A nervous laugh erupted from her tired lips, she hardly believed what she said next, “Sam's car turned into a giant robot.” She laughed again, but this time it was sad as tears rolled down.
Then it hit her, whatever it was-the anxiety never left this time instead it boiled. Her mind couldn't take it-she was so tired. The sight that she had seen tonight was the one thing she had wanted to see since she was so young. She promised to help them-to fight alongside them in the war and achieve many victories for their cause. And here she was years later, and she didn't know if she believed it, or if she had simply gone mad after her grandfather died.
Whether it was the lost part of innocence tonight or wishful thinking, she never wanted that escape again more in her life, she missed it. The effortless journals she’d write of going on adventures, fighting, living a life as that character everyone loved and wanted to be. All of it, was it pointless?
“-Sweetheart?”
“I'm going to bed-I-Im sorry for lying, Nana. We only saw the burglars abandon it, nothing more.”
(Y/n) left the kitchen her form shaking and disgruntled, as her Nana sat at the table watching her leave. The older woman sighed, rolling her eyes before getting up and heading towards her room. A liar is not what (Y/n) is, her Nana knew. What emerged from her granddaughter's mouth was nothing but the truth.
Robots-no Cybertronians are a special case.
Their whole family knew the truth except the girl in the other room, sometimes (GM/N) wondered why they never told her the truth before (GD/N) died. Sure, it was best to keep her innocent for a while but after what she saw tonight only means she'll soon be tossed into something she never bargained for.
Nana took the box from the high shelf from the right side of the closet where her late husband stored his belongings. The box was a bit worn and dusty, but the contents were safe. She hugged the box close to her chest and sent a quick prayer.
Afterall, her granddaughter was going to need it.
~✯~
To many teenagers work was a chore they hated to get up and get ready for this time of day, but as far as this aspiring protagonist goes, she loved waking up in the morning and heading to her family's library. With her finals being done in comparison to Sam, she's able to take up earlier shifts than normal. Luckily Grace was willing to switch morning shifts with her this morning much to her pleasure.
It was around nine am giving her enough time to organize the return pile by genre and author. It was a nice ritual to get her mind off of the past few days, don't get her wrong; there were moments she'd mess with the band aid on her knee, or simply sipped her coffee anxiously as a police car drove by the large window. She didn't want to think about that night, and if she did she only wanted to think about one thing; the cybertronian.
It started to feel wrong to call them a robot after all she knew what the species were called. It was no secret to her family about the stories and now-truth be told she started to gain the suspension. They were not just stories. She thought long and hard about how gentle her grandmother was with her yesterday, she kept glancing at her as if she had something to tell her-just don't know how. Not to even mention she sat by the phone expecting Sam to call her-why she didn't know. (Y/n) just wanted the reassurance that they were still friends-family even.
(Y/n) placed the last neat pile over near the horror section, it had been quite popular the past few weeks after they hosted that horror book night last october-it was her idea for a fundraiser and it was highly successful. The only takeaway was hunting people who forget to return them. In the corner of her eye she watched her Nana walk out of the break room with a steaming cup and a cinnamon roll from the bakery next door.
If She had been a bit more considerate of herself this morning she might have gotten one as well, they were nice and soft, the icing smooth and sickenly sweet if eaten too fast. She had to think long and hard about where she was going to eat lunch.
(Y/n) finished her morning ritual in the library with ease, once she was sure everything was in order she was able to help out at the front. Some were familiar faces, others were simply students from other schools returning books required for the curriculum of english. It was all worth it; after the familiar face strolled in her heart began to thump anxiously, whereas her hands were suddenly busy in her coils.
The black haired boy looked around for a moment before locking eyes with her own. It didn't take but a minute before he flashed a smile heading in her direction, the others in the library seemed irrelevant at the moment in comparison to the male who remembered her quick words that day. He looked nice; His shirt was black with vertical white and yellow stripes down his chest, and he wore black jeans with a subtle chain on the hip. His converse were a bit dirty like hers, but in her mind all shoes were meant to be replaced after a while.
“So this is the famous (L/n) library,” Bee smiled brightly, he did another once over causing her heart to warm with his excited eyes, “I’m impressed! You own the place so young?”
She laughed, “No, it's a family business! It’s been here for more than sixty-eight years.”
He whistled low, the charm he had was starting to take effect. She licked her lips nervously as he took a gander at the ceiling, it was a renaissance styled painting with her family's stories. There were many robots stylized to show which were good, evil, and simply trying to survive crossfire. His eyes seemed to land on one figure specifically, a large sword was in the figures hands, they were leaner with a female build with an angular frame. What stood out so much was the male human by her side.
Blue eyes went back on her form, something glimmered for a second before a carefree look took on his features. He paused for a moment, looking behind her, she followed his gaze seeing that Nana was looking at the boy. It was a moment where (Y/n) could see them talking with their eyes, another moment passed before her grandmother smiled, turning to her.
“(Y/n) who is this? A New friend?”
The girl bit her lip looking over at a Bee, he seemed to be awaiting her answer, “Y-yeah, we met at the park last Friday. He was very nice,”
The boy seemed to approve of her answer, “Hello my name is Bee,”
“Hello Bee, Im (Y/n)’s grandmother (G/N), but you can call me Nana,” Nana smiled at her new friend, placing the new stack of history books on the desk to be organized later. “You're actually in luck, my sweetheart is on break! She'd love to hang out with you a bit.”
“What? But-”
“That's great! I'd love to hear more about the paintings above and the histories about them.” The black haired smiled.
Her Nana pushed her from behind the desk quickly, urging her to talk to the boy before them. (Y/n) grabbed her grandfather's notebook from the top counter, this one was the history about the library, in chapter two it gives short summaries about the paintings above. She’d tell her friend about the summary and they tell him what she remembered about the story to the best of her ability.
(Y/n) led Bee to the comfortable part of the library, in the far corner there was a circular table with two arm chairs. It was her favorite spot for breaks. They both sat down, she couldn’t help but notice how the boy felt up and down with the fabric as if it were foreign to him.
“Is it not comfortable?” She questioned quietly with a frown. Bee flinched with her question, planching his hands on his knees.
“No-no it's very comfortable-im just not used to the feeling,” He answered with a bit of nerves in his tone. “I'm sorry if I've offended you-”
“No you haven't, I just wanted to make sure my new friend was comfortable,” She offered a kind smile to ease him of his worries.
She gave him a once over, he did clean up nicely from the last time she saw him, however she couldn’t help but pause at his neck. There was a prominent scare on the right side, she couldn't believe she had never seen it before. If there was one way of describing it, it would be a star that she gazed at each night before going to bed, it rested right near the vocal cords.
“So about the femme-female in the middle, what story do you have for her my dear storyteller?”
(Y/n) actually let out a giggle, “Storyteller? Is that my new nickname?”
Bee hummed, “No you deserve something better, but that's what you do right? You tell amazing stories and draw people in.”
“Well yes, but it's only fun doing it. It's not like it'll be a job for me to do in the near future.”
The boy cocked an eyebrow, which apparently has a slit, “Why not?”
“It simply won’t pay the bills. As an aspiring author or writer you have to be smart, you have to have another area of profession to feed yourself until everything takes off.”
He nodded in understanding, “I see. I wouldn’t rule this out of your life forever. You do such a good job as is,” He scooted the chair closer once the girl flipped through the pages of the book. He seemed more preoccupied with staring at her than the varying pictures. “So what are you gonna read to me today?”
(Y/n) smiled, “The summary of Merlin’s Female knight. I’ll have to get to know you more before I tell you the full tale. These are our family stories.”
“Seems fair,”
The girl inhaled before starting the summary.
“During the dark ages of Merlin, a variety of knights were introduced from the planet Cybertron. With these knights came a new era of acceptance with humans; they fought many wars and formed many alliances. However with the new era the knights acknowledged something needed to be changed with predacons as well. A few of these predacons were highly intelligent femmes pledging their loyalty to the cause. Three knights took the predacons as sparkmates, leading to the next generation. One of these femmes was named-“
(Y/n)s words faltered as she felt Bee's breath on the nape of her neck. She finally took notice of how close he’d gotten. His hand was close to hers, slightly brushing as she flipped the page again. She was reading the words in English, skipping over the cybertronian language she’s grown to learn.
A hand clasped hers urgently, she paused on the page she was about to skip, the pages were filled with the foreign symbols. She looked at him, his mouth was moving as he scanned the page.
‘He can read it?!’
“You can read it? How can you-“
“I-I’m sorry I have to go.” The boy removed his hand from hers, the warmth that enveloped her body was gone; she was so tempted to frown right there. She stormed after him, questions filling her mind with urgency. It’s been so long since she had someone who understood the language other than her grandparents.
“Wha-what? Why? What did I do-?” Bee cut her off by grabbing her hands in his once more. He stared at her, his eyes were worried and deeply struggled to communicate.
“You haven't done anything. (Y/n) I know I haven't done anything to deserve your trust ,but I’m going to need you to trust me,” His frown seemed almost natural on his face as if he was more accustomed to the expression. It spoke volumes to her. “I promise, to explain later sweetspark okay?”
The girl nodded a bit, flustered from the boy using the tongue it took her many years to accomplish. He had her trust by just speaking the language. With the nod of confirmation, he made haste out the front doors. When she tried to watch him leave, he was already gone.
It was two hours after the boy left and oddly enough (Y/n) felt as if a huge weight was lifted off her chest in regards to the events that have happened lately. She could still feel the warmth of his hands against hers as she turned the pages.
It felt as if the hands on their own could tell stories, along with the scar of the left side of his neck. The intimate thoughts she had earlier returned, her lips would graze each scar with sweet whispers; (Y/n) could hear his playful tone teasing her for being so bold, yet so sweet with his battle wounds.
She paused for a minute at the thought-when had she decided the scars came from battle or even a war. Something about her intuition was going off, whether it was the sinking feeling at the thought of him being so young on the front lines, or the fact he had to keep such secrets of his injuries to himself. (Y/n) shook her head before closing the book, deciding it was time to clock out.
Grace had already clocked in thirty minutes ago and was ready to take over. Now all she needed was her book bag and-. A loud commotion of a familiar voice suddenly filled the space of the library much to her dismay, she hoped it wasn't her Nana reminding her not to work overtime and to relax. However, when she turned the corner from one of the isles she was met with an erratic and panicked Witwicky.
“Sam! What the hell is your problem?! This is a library-!” (Y/n) was suddenly embraced by Sam, his form was shaky and he had labored breaths. She didn't get to ask questions about it, as she was already being led outside the library with her bookbag in hand.
“We’re being followed by the car,” Sam spoke quickly, he grabbed her bike from the rack and pushed it towards her. She finally took notice of the fact he was riding his mom's bike, normally she would’ve laughed but at the moment she sunk in the situation at hand.
“Did you just say the car is following us?” The question rolled off her tongue with ease, it sounded excited, no hint of worry in sight. It scared her afterwards with how quick she got happy with the thought of the alien following them.
“Yes-it followed me home! Then when I biked here to get away, it followed me-only it didn’t take the same route, it took a faster one and parked behind the building. It knows where you work!” He hopped on the bike, (Y/n) doing the same quickly with her own, as anxiety rolled down her spine.
The two teens biked down the street quickly, it wasn't long before the sound of a roaring engine sped up right behind them-the game of cat and mouse being reversed from the other day. The girl didn't dare to look back, Sam did enough for the both of them combined. Judging from the way her friend was panting in panic she could only assume the car was close. They both decided to bike through a park, Sam was so focused on his escape from the vehicle to notice the uneven concrete in the midst of their path.
It was a domino effect, Sam flipped himself landing on his back with a pained groan. (Y/n) let out a yelp and tried to swerve the bike in time but ended up losing her balance and falling off. She bit back a whine from the new found scrapes and bruises on her elbow and right knee.
“Sam? (Y/n)?” A familiar voice called out to the two of them. Sam looked to his right to find Mikeala and her friends looking at them. A few were giggling and whispering while looking in (Y/n)’s direction, none of them had ever seen the girl flawed before. The teen always made sure to be poised in all conditions, however seeing the girl fall off her bike nearing tears was something to boost their egos.
“Hi,” He mustered awkwardly with a groan, whereas (Y/n) simply waved a hand clutching her arm.
“Um t-that was uh-that was really…..awesome,” The girl managed to ease up the situation, “Are you two okay?”
“N-no I'm not-alright? I'm losing my mind. My car is chasing us,” Sam bit out straightening his bike. He looked over at (Y/n) taking in her injury, her steps faltered a bit due to the pressure placed on her knee. Sam quickly helped her onto her bike, his hands rested on her hips longer than they should’ve though. “We gotta go.”
Mikaela noticed (Y/n)’s look of anguish for a moment before turning back to her friends, “Hey I'm gonna catch up with you guys later.” About the time the brunet made it to her Vespa the two friends were already on the move once more.
(Y/n)’s balance swayed here and there, her head was throbbing and her elbow hurt to bend. She was lagging behind, the car seemed to notice, as each time it got to close it started to slow down its pace giving her enough time to bike through each light.
Thankfully they finally found a place to stop, (Y/n) led the way underneath the interstate bridges where many cars were parked. She gestured to Sam to follow her, they had found a nice hiding spot for a moment, watching the car speed past. The two friends looked at each other before letting out a breath of relief.
“Are you okay? How's your arm?” Sam gently grabbed the girl's arm, trying to extend it a bit to make sure nothing was broken. (Y/n) winced a bit, fighting back tears, it wasn't that bad, she was sure it'd feel better later.
The silence was soon interrupted by a familiar siren, shaking the girl to her core. Sam on the other hand was relieved, he whispered a soft ‘stay here’ before moving from their hiding spot. Her breathing became labored, the foreign chill of metal on her wrists became a new fear. They couldn’t be arrested again, they couldn't!
“Officer!Listen-” Sam let out a pained yelp as the car door hit him, knocking him off the bike with one fell swoop. (Y/n) gasped, she suddenly forgot how to breath suddenly as she watched her friend wither on the ground.
“Offi-Listen to me! Thank god! My friend and I have had the worst day ever! We've been followed here-on my mothers and her grandmother's bike! Right?! And My cars right there-and it's been following me-us here! so-so get out of the car!” Right after Sam slammed his hands on the police vehicle it started to drive forward, knocking Sam off his feet and onto the ground. “Woah stop-!Okay-Okay!I'm sorry! Im Sorry! I'm sorry I hit your car!”
“Stop!” (Y/n) raced from her hiding spot, she tried to step between Sam and the vehicle. She kicked the hood showing she had enough of the abuse of power displayed. She however paused once the vehicle's headlights popped out, sharp metal sticking out around the lights sending a chill down her body. She soon looked at the side of the car, her body running cold; ‘to punish and enslave’.
“Run. Sam run!” She grabbed her friend, helping him on his feet; it was just in time too, she soon heard the sound of shifting metal behind her. The rise of bile was heavy in her throat as she pushed Sam to run faster.
“Oh Shit! Oh Shit!” Sam screamed as he made a turn through the rubble of trash. “What the hell is that?!”
“A Decepticon! Here on earth?!” The girl cried to herself, she was pretty sure her subconscious mind answered for her. She had never seen a Decepticon in person, but the way the con was chasing them with a threatening aura she was so sure.
Before she could get them to make another turn she felt herself flying through the air before making impact with the windshield of a car. She heard Sam scream her name, only for him to fall on top of her a second later. She made a move to push the boy off only to scream instead once the con pulled out a chainsaw for a hand, slamming it on the side of the car.
Out of all the questions she had running through her mind as to why the con wanted them only one was answered, and it was one of the most threatening ways of answering.
“Are you username Ladiesman217?! And are you Storyteller (Y/n) (L/n)?!”
The two teens looked at eachother frightened, “Yea”
“Where are the glasses! And the books of Luna One!”

achievement unlocked 🔓 (part ten) || Streamer AU! Reddie (IT)
Part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
AVAILABLE ON AO3
Inspiration: this prompt + BIRDS OF A FEATHER by Billie Eilish
Summary: Richie liked to play video games, and by some stroke of luck, it became his job. Being primarily known as Trashmouth on stream, he found his own little group of streamer friends and they became intertwined: The Losers Club. It never did feel quite complete, though. Well, until, he got his very own backseat gamer in chat.
TWs: cursing, low self-worth, lil bit of crying, brief mention of toxic relationships, and shameless flirting.
[[A/N: This one is very fucking cute, fair warning. The big 10 my friends, time for some milestones !!! ALSO THIS ONE IS A BANGER, SO GET READYYYY. Enjoy :))]]
"Do you think I could stream with you?"
Richie blinked, stirring from where he was currently shuffling through his game library. He was debating what game he wanted to play next stream, or if he wanted to do something else entirely. He was naturally on a videochat with Eddie, his phone set up against one of his monitors.
"What?" He questioned, turning to face Eddie. He was already looking at him, hands fidgeting with his pastel blue polo collar (which Richie knew to be a sign of nerves). Near immediately, he recognized it -brain wired to soothe.
"You know, like," Eddie fidgeted with his hands, and Richie watched it intently, "-be on your stream. Fucking stream together. Maybe... Maybe all of us?"
"Like," Richie clarified slowly, giving him his full attention, "-when you get here? Or?"
Eddie bit his lip a little, still not meeting his eyes, "Ben has an extra mic, and... and some other consoles that I could use. I just... I thought it might be fun, I guess?"
"Eds, I would fucking love to play with you, seriously," Richie explained, carefully adding, "-but it's a big deal to be on a stream. You'll be putting yourself out there for thousands of fucking people."
"I know that," Eddie replied, face maybe twisting a little into frustration, "-and I'm scared a little shitless. But... But I'm always fucking scared, you know? I wanna do something brave for once."
Richie frowned, eyes swimming over his face entirely.
"Eddie baby, you're already fucking brave," Richie reassured, trying to catch his eye (it would be so much easier in person), "-You got the fuck out of that shitty house, on your own, to fucking New York of all places-"
Eddie finally looked up at him, and Richie felt the glance zap all the way down to his toes. Big ass expressive doe-eyes. He felt like he could see the whole universe in there sometimes-
"-and made a living. Maybe a shitty living yeah, but still a living."
Eddie laughed, just a little, before trying to shove it down, "Fuck you. I didn't make a shitty living."
"Eds, you have physically told me that you hate your life," Richie chimed back, smiling, "-I think that means you're making a shitty living."
"Hated," Eddie echoed out.
Richie tilted his head, asking a question without saying a word. Eddie seemed to understand without flinching.
"I fucking hated my life," he continued, clarifying, and smiling in a soft way that made Richie want to hide behind his hair and maybe fucking squeal (like someone meeting their favorite celebrity), "-I've got some pretty good shit to look forward to now, I think."
Richie stared at him for a few seconds, letting the words smooth over his brain. Like he was feeling the sun across his skin after weeks of rain. And it felt a little bit like he was staring into the sun actually -all warm and bright. Feelings bubbling under his skin that he couldn't quite say (not yet). God, he'd never been this fucking happy-
"I'd honestly do anything you fucking wanted, Eds," Richie breathed out, his chest so warm he felt like it might actually burn to a crisp, "-so if you want to stream with the Losers Club, I will fucking find a way."
"Anything?"
Richie grinned, "Fucking anything. Jump into a pit of lava? Cannonball. Parachute out of a plane? I'm getting some fucking air time. Sell my own liver? Sayonara, mi amigo, you've done me well-"
"That's stupid as shit," Eddie chastised, but he was smiling, "-Don't do any of that shit. Ever."
"Sir, yes, sir!" Richie saluted, voice lower for the impression. And he fucking meant it, honestly. He was wrapped around Eddie Kaspbrak's finger, he knew that shit, and was 100% okay with it. There's no fucking place he'd rather be, actually-
"But seriously," Eddie leveled with him, "-you would actually be fine with me streaming with you guys?"
"Eds," Richie laughed, looking steadily at Eddie, "-I would be happy to do anything with you. You're my favorite fucking person. Ever."
Eddie was fighting down a smile, Richie could tell (and he was so glad that the nerves he once saw seemed washed away). It all felt so very natural. Richie really wouldn't want to fucking be anywhere else.
"What about the whole..." Eddie motioned vaguely with his hands, "-boyfriend thing?"
"The fact that we're dating?"
"Yeah," Eddie answered, plainly.
"You don't-" Richie started, before changing course, "-You can just play with me if you want, Eds, we don't have to tell people shit. I flirt with all my friends anyway, so, chat wouldn't notice anything, honestly."
Eddie just stared at him, big brown eyes, "What do you want?"
Frankly, Richie Tozier wanted to scream that he was dating Eddie Kaspbrak off the nearest rooftop. Richie Tozier, if Eddie was with him now, wanted to beg for him to be on his streams just because he wanted to say 'This is my boyfriend, fucking look at him! My boyfriend!'. Richie Tozier would post Eddie Kaspbrak everywhere he could, so everyone in the fucking world would know that they were dating. Richie Tozier, already, almost burst with pride every day because he was dating Eddie Kaspbrak, and to be able to show him off? God, he'd be fucking unstoppable.
Richie Tozier did not say any of that, though.
"If you're comfortable with people knowing, Eds," Richie spoke instead -seriously, "-I make no fucking objections."
Eddie pursed his lips, something in his face concerned (Richie melted a little), "Like are you okay with that? People knowing you're dating me?"
Frankly, Richie Tozier wanted to scream tha-
"Are you kidding me right now?" Richie asked, incredulously.
Eddie's face twisted into something sour, "What the fuck is that supposed to mean?"
"No, Eds," Richie soothed, mouth moving quicker than his brain could follow, "-I just mean that I would tell everyone I've ever fucking met that we were dating, that you are my boyfriend, if I could. I'd tell the old lady who is scanning my groceries, I'd tell the drunk dude next to me at the bar, even after he puked on my shoes, I'd tell the car guy that put on my new fucking tires-"
"Car guy?" Eddie interrupted, smiling in that way he always did when Richie got affectionate (half flustered and half flattered), "-Do you really not know the word mechanic, dipshit?"
"Of course I do, that's your dream job," Richie remarked, unflinchingly, "-I just... I wasn't focused on fucking vocabulary."
Eddie's face softened, and Richie almost booked a flight then and there, "You remember that?"
"Eddie baby, there is a whole fucking storage facility on you in my head," Richie laughed, maybe a little embarrassed (he could pay attention if he really wanted to), "-and that's not counting the whole section on your face."
Eddie raised an eyebrow, still looking at him in a kinda way that made Richie want to twirl in place, "My face? What about my face?"
"Eds, you are the most expressive human being I've ever fucking met," Richie explained, counting out his fingers, "-Off the top of my head, you have three separate eyebrow furrows that mean different things. And don't even get me started on your fucking eyes-"
"Wait, hold on, shut up-" Eddie held up a hand, "-I have different eyebrow furrows? What the fuck does that mean?"
"You have one where you act like you're mad, but you're really not, it honestly kinda goes hand-in-hand with like... embarrassment? It's like too furrowed so I can tell you're faking that shit," Richie rambled, motioning with his hands through the air, "-And then, your second one is like you're actually frustrated, for whatever reason. That one kinda relies on your like... eyes a lot though, so... uh, I guess it's not just your eyebrows. The third one is when you're confused. It's almost like you want to raise an eyebrow up, but you don't? So, one of them is just a little bit higher than the other-"
Richie made eye contact with Eddie, whose face was rivaling a cherry at this point.
"-one," he finished, awkwardly.
Eddie blinked, and Richie felt anxiety claw up his throat. Fuck. His mouth strikes again.
Richie pursed his lips, wringing his hands out and ignoring the flush to his very own face (act normal and maybe it fucking will be), "I sound batshit crazy, don't I?"
Eddie just blinked again, eyes wide and cheeks burning a bright red. Richie would've thought it was cute if he wasn't currently so fucking scared that he might physically start shaking-
"Eds?" He tried, weakly.
His big brown eyes stayed focused on him, and his mouth decidedly did not move. Richie's stomach felt like it was tied up in knots, and they were getting tighter by the second.
"Eds," Richie laughed nervously, pinching a curl from his head and tugging on it slightly (he did that sometimes when he got nervous), "-You're kinda freaking me out here-"
"Your smile is crooked."
Richie paused for a moment, "What?"
"It goes up more on your left than it does your right," Eddie clarified in a breath that crashed out of his lungs, "-and that makes your left eye close a little more than your right when you... When you smile."
Richie felt a little speechless.
"And... And you-" Eddie continued, a little like he couldn't stop, "-you scrunch up your nose like you're about to sneeze right before you laugh. Every fucking time."
Richie just blankly stared, blinking. Eddie did the same, his cheeks still pretty bright red (to be fair, Richie probably wasn't looking much better). And they stayed in that silence for a second.
Until it started making Richie's skin itch.
He smiled, not the genuine kind, and started poking at his cheeks -trying to measure maybe, "Really?"
Eddie burst out into laughter, and it made Richie actually smile.
"See, there," he pointed to his screen like he could touch his skin -show it to him (or maybe like he'd forgotten the distance that stood between them, Richie sometimes did that too), "-it's fucking crooked. Just believe me."
"Ahhh," Richie dramatically sighed, taking on the accent of an old movie star, "-another thing to fix before my Hollywood debut. Oh, how I hate going under the knife-"
"Don't you fucking dare start that shit," Eddie leveled, biting.
Richie was startled out of his impression, eyes going a little wide, "Jeez, Eds, I didn't know th-"
"No, it's not your skit, dipshit, you know I like those-" Eddie quickly corrected, eyes still set in a solid glare (hey, there's furrow number 2), "-your smile. Saying you need to fix it."
"Well," Richie laughed a little, "-you said it's crooked-"
"Yeah, and?" Eddie rebutted, instinctively, "-It's like my favorite thing, dickweed. And it doesn't need fucking fixing, so don't say it does. Or else I'll kick your ass."
Richie grinned a little, turning red, before dropping his face into his hands. He smiled into his palms -briskly shaking his head (his curls moving with it). And maybe he was giggling but he'd never tell-
"Are you fucking giggling?"
He felt the flush slink down his neck, burning against his skin. Richie took a second.
"C'mon, Eds, gimme a break," he shot his head up -tilting his chin to the ceiling, and leaning back against his chair. He moved his glasses up on his head, before pushing his fingers into his eyes (his cheeks still burned), "-the most beautiful person I've ever seen likes my crooked ass smile so much they threatened me if I said it was shitty. A man can only be so strong-"
Eddie laughed a little, and it made Richie smile again (which made him another shade darker, because Eddie liked it so much-). Something swirled into his stomach, and he bounced his foot in place a little. He felt like he was going to explode, like how much he was blushing and how fucking happy he was might just... ya know, BOOM.
"You're such a shithead, Richie."
He peeked out from behind his hands, tilting his head back down to match his eyeline. Eddie was watching him with that fond little look on his face that he got. That Richie sometimes had dreams about, all sweet and shit. With that small little smile that he doubted anyone else in Eddie's world got to see. It was his Richie smile. The thought nearly made him fucking faint.
And then a thought rattled through his head, startling and sudden.
I'm fucking falling in love with him.
Or maybe I already am actually. How the fuck do you tell? This isn't... I've never-
"Richie?" Eddie's voice echoed out, and it shot him out of his head (heart flipping in his chest), "-Everything okay?"
He had his head tilted in that cute way he always did, hair slightly undone so some pieces fell with the motion. Richie's eyes traced them for a second. And, per usual, his eyes were shining with emotion -right on the surface, concern. Fucking worried about him, of all things-
Richie blinked, swallowing. Fuck.
"Yeah, Eds," Richie reassured, trying to calm his racing heart, "-everything's fine."
And that was that.
Richie was about this fucking close to googling 'How do I know if I'm in love with him?'. He'd been staring at the search bar on his phone every few spare minutes since that call had ended. Debating if shit like that would even help his situation. People were fucking different right? It couldn't be fucking helpful to him, it might only make it worse. Richie was a chronic overthinker, so he'd overthink fucking everything about how Eddie acted around him. Did he love me? Was he thinking the same thing or-
That being said, he'd been staring at his search bar for about a day and a half. Not consistently, more just like his thoughts were filled with it throughout that time. Richie was just debating on how he should go about it, and if he even needed to 'go about it'. See, as you may have already known, Richie had no control over his fucking mouth. So, the more he thought about it, the more he might slip up and say it.
And on top of that, he wasn't fucking sure when the right time to even say that shit was. Or if he was too early, or if he was doing something wrong-
Richie squeezed his eyes shut and shook his head. None of this was fucking helping, and he seriously doubted that online articles about love would be either. (He'd once read one that said if a guy fucking waved at you that he was into you. Which Richie strongly disagreed with.) Even if he tried, he wasn't sure where exactly he should start.
Okay, Richie, think, his mind echoed, what's your next move? What should you do? Who knows shit about love?
Richie's eyes flew open. With a solid breath, he scrolled through his contacts and found who he needed.
The ringing had barely stopped echoing through the air before Richie started to talk.
"What's the difference between being in love and falling in love?"
"Hi, Stan," Stanley mocked, voice crackling through the phone,"-How are you today? Oh, I'm doing fine, thanks Richie-"
"Hi, Stan," Richie parroted, obediently, before switching near immediately, "-now seriously, I need to know what's-"
"The difference between falling and being in love?" Stan echoed, shuffling with something on the other end, "-Is that what you said?"
"Yes," Richie answered, shortly.
"Is this a... hypothetical?" Stanley didn't answer, instead asking for clarification (he could nearly see his eyebrows drawn together -confused), "-Or just a question that popped up in your mystery of a fucking mind, or-"
It came out in a rush of breath, before Richie could fully stop it (not that he was sure he wanted to), "I think I'm in love with Eddie."
There was a pause for a second, the silence bouncing around his head. Richie debated biting his nails, which he had never actually done but seemed fitting right now. Maybe even comforting-
"Let me go get Patty," Stan breathed out, and Richie could physically hear him walk himself down the hall -footsteps loud in his head.
"Hey darling, we've got a Richie emergency. If you could-"
The quick scamper of feet (distant and then suddenly very close), made Richie snort. The visual of her dropping whatever she was doing and rushing to her husband's side was hilarious, to be fair.
Oh Patts, his mind chimed, how I love you.
"Oh, honey," her voice bubbled over the phone, caring and kind (Richie had the random thought she'd make a great mom one day if she wanted that), "-is everything alright? Are you okay? Are you and Eddie okay-"
"Patricia," Stanley spoke to her, tone solid and sturdy, "-everything's fine. Richie just thinks he's in love with Eddie."
"What, really?" Patty gasped, sarcastically, "-No."
Sometimes Richie was faced with the harsh reality that she was, in fact, Stanley Uris's wife. It was easy to forget because she was always so sugary sweet to Stanley's ice-cold reception (two halves of a whole if you will). Richie knew they both cared, a fuck ton, but the differences on the surface did still affect him from time to time, he'll be honest.
Stan laughed at that, the one he only ever laughed because of Patty. And Richie guessed he got that now.
"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up you two-" Richie rolled his eyes, "-I see how it is. Ditching your closest friend in a time of crisis-"
"It's not a fucking crisis, Richie," Stanley cut him off, "-You're in love with your boyfriend. That's completely normal."
"We understand it can be scary, honey," Patty followed up, sweeter, "-but it's not the end of the world. And it's certainly not a crisis."
"But, it is," Richie reiterated, "-when have I ever fucking loved someone? And what am I supposed to do? Is it too early-"
Stan asked, curiously, "I thought you loved Connor?"
"If this-" Richie dramatically motioned with his hands (despite the fact that the Uris's could not see him), "-is being in love, then there's no fucking way that's true."
"What do you mean?" Patty followed up.
Richie let out a breath, trying to compose his words, "This... With Eddie, it's so fucking big. It's not an 'oh, it feels really nice to be around you' or a 'you're great company' or even a 'you make me feel less alone'. Eddie is... god, I can't even... I just want to know fucking everything about him, be fluent in Eddie like he's a language. It's not a personal feel-good thing, like how I was fucking chasing the affection of dickheads. He's like a missing piece, like I've always had this Eddie-shaped space carved out and I didn't even know it. But, now I do, and he's here and I just... It's all right, it feels all so right-"
They didn't say a word.
"-which I know is cheesy as fuck. But that's all I can fucking say. I don't... I'm not... Fuck, there's just so much that I don't even know how to fucking say it-"
"You love him," Patty finished for him, quieter, "-Richie, you do, you love him."
Richie let a few breaths shake through his chest, mindlessly counting them in his head. He let Patty's words roll over his skin, processing. Because if Patricia Uris said something, she was right, he knew that like the back of his hand.
Okay, Richie thrummed the thought through his mind, I love him.
It felt stuck in Richie's throat. Bubbled along his skin. Burned his tongue with how fucking badly he wanted to say it, just so Eddie could know that somebody did.
Eddie, somebody loves you.
Eds, I fucking love you.
And then he felt so afraid, so scared that he'd say it and Eddie would freak the fuck out. Break it off. So clingy, so clingy, so clingy-
"What exactly brought this on?" Stanley questioned -slowly and so very soft. It was a tone he barely heard from him, and it shook through Richie's bones.
Richie tilted his head back and swallowed, his eyes burned. He felt a little like he was going to cry, and maybe he did (he couldn't feel it). But he knew it was happy tears, he fucking knew that.
"My smile is his favorite thing," Richie laughed -crying a little, "-It's fucking crooked and he knows that, but it's his favorite fucking thing, Stanley-"
Stanley was laughing through the phone, and Richie thought he might've been crying. The same kind Richie was, happy.
"He's a little shit, and I-" Richie pushed his glasses up on his head, and he was laughing, "-and I... I fucking love him. Shit, I... I love him, you guys. What the fuck-"
Richie was fully on crying now, sniffling and wiping his eyes. God, he loved him, what the fuck-
"Oh, Richie, honey-" Patty cooed, and he had a feeling if he was there with two of them, she'd hug him. And maybe he actually really fucking wanted that, she probably smelled like flowers and Stanley like books (he just fucking knew that, it seemed like common sense). He should go to Atlanta at some point, and visit. Maybe with Eddie, actually, "-This is so, so good, okay? Don't be scared."
"Yeah," Stanley reassured, "-don't get in your head about this, Richie. Fucking seriously."
"But," Richie exhaled, "-what if he doesn't love me? I... I can't fucking handle that-"
Stan interrupted, keen on the spiral that Richie was going to fall into, "Richie stop, even if he doesn't love you. He really fucking cares about you."
Richie pressed his lips together. His heart was thumping against his chest, I love him. I love him. I love-
"And he will," Patty added, confidently, "-He cares about you so much, honey, that if he doesn't already, he will."
Stan continued on that point, "It's only a matter of time, you guys are like two halves of a whole. An incredibly fucked up whole, yeah, but still a whole."
Richie laughed then, "You are such a dick, Stan."
The silence was comforting for a moment, and it made Richie settle on the idea. Process it. This was all so new and scary, but it was Eds. Eddie. His Eds-
"Look, I know sometimes you need to be brought back to earth," Stanley reasoned (and Richie was pretty sure that he heard Patty swat at his chest), "-but this time? Richie, you're right. Eddie is as crazy about you as you are about him. Honestly-"
Richie laughed a little, sniffling.
"-I can't tell if he's going to calm you down, or if you're gonna ramp him up. But you're gonna fucking do it together."
"Stan," Richie measured -lips quivering.
"There's not a chance that you guys break up," he continued, "-It's just... Richie, you're the happiest you've ever fucking been, and I would bet my life that Eddie is too. You... You always talk about me and Patty being meant for each other-"
"-but, Rich, you and Eddie... That fucking feels like forever. It feels like he's always been there, even just with the Losers, the spot has always been open. And nobody noticed it until he slotted right in. Until he shit on you in your Twitch chat-"
Richie burst into laughter at that, it shook through his whole body. A swim of emotion all inside of him, but the most was happy, fucking in love. Holy shit, Richie Tozier was in love. There was no fucking way that was real-
"-It just makes sense. It's right, like you said," Stanley finished, "-and I'm never fucking wrong. Right?"
"Right," Richie confirmed, wiping at his eyes. Something in him felt nicer, lighter.
"And take your time," Patty popped up, "-just because you feel it, doesn't mean you have to say it right now, okay Richie?"
"Here's to hoping I can keep my fucking mouth shut," Richie chimed, crossing his fingers, "-please, God-"
Stanley retorted, flatly, "God can't do the fucking impossible, Richie."
Richie laughed so fucking loud he worried about his neighbors hearing, and he couldn't even hear the baby cry next door. (He'd seen them in the hallway before with one.) He stayed on the phone for a while, Patty and Stanley updating him on a lot of shit honestly. Sometimes boring (like birds, even still, Richie listened), but other times really interesting.
They were setting up an actual wedding, been planning it for like the last year. Because they were married so young, they'd just used the courthouse. But now the Urises, like responsible adults (Richie spent 200 dollars on custom-made Shrek shoes last week), had a budget for an actual wedding. He was gonna be Stan's best man, not to fucking brag (except he was totally going to, maybe every second he could at the wedding).
And then, he realized that Eddie would be in San Francisco. He'd have already moved in, a few months actually. He had the spare thought of Eddie in his best clothes and shiny shoes that didn't have a single crease in them (because of course they didn't, he was Eddie Kaspbrak). And Eddie fucking keeping both of their suits pressed (away from Richie) and fucking fussing over him because 'it's your best friend's wedding, idiot'. The thought of it all made his head spin, and made him want to scream (in a good way).
It hit him again then, a few days after the first time, I love him. Holy fuck, I love him. It burst through his chest like he was in fucking Alien, and it felt engraved in his DNA. Fucking loving Eddie Kaspbrak was in his genes. God. It was just floating through him, always on the tip of his tongue. It could so easily just be fucking said, Richie could just say it-
e.kaspbrak
What are you doing fuckwad?
Richie cleared his throat, blinking. Focus Tozier, you can do this.
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
nothing why ?
e.kaspbrak
In the words of the dumbest fucker alive.
'Wow, your boyfriend can't want attention?'
God, Richie Tozier fucking loved Eddie Kaspbrak. So much. How did he never fucking notice that?
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
eds wants my attention ???
aweeeee
e.kaspbrak
I take it back, asshole.
Fuck you.
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
no take backsies babeyyyy
u have my entire attention spaghetti
e.kaspbrak
Good.
I have a question.
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
shoot eddie baby
e.kaspbrak
Do you have an extra dresser?
For my clothes and shit?
Richie's heart fluttered in his chest, he never really forgot that Eddie was coming. But it still hit hard every time he remembered it, he was coming here. To live with him. Him and Eddie living together. And he loves Eddie. The guy he loves living with him-
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
I can get one
I do have two closets tho
e.kaspbrak
Do they both have shit in them?
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
one of them is mine
but the other has old stream stuff in it
just have to clean it
e.kaspbrak
I can do it.
I'm already going to clean everything anyway.
Richie barked out a laugh.
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
yes dear
e.kaspbrak
You're an asshole.
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
I love the pet names u give me eds 🤭
makes me feel so special 💞😘
e.kaspbrak
I wouldn't call you them if you weren't an idiot.
Richie laughed, readying another message-
e.kaspbrak
My idiot.
Obviously.
This was going to be really fucking hard. Wasn't it? Thank god they were just texting, Richie is 90% sure he would've said it already. Maybe it would be the first thing out of his mouth-
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
does that mean u are responsible for my actions ???
would it hold up in court you think ?
u r my eds too btw
e.kaspbrak
No. And I wouldn't bail you out, fyi.
And yeah, I can't imagine anyone else let you call them that.
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
u let me call u that
e.kaspbrak
I like you, dipshit.
And if I didn't like them, we wouldn't be fucking dating.
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
still can't believe that btw
e.kaspbrak
Believe what?
Richie gnawed at his lips, debating if he wanted to unveil something else about him that was a little fucked up. People treated him like shit, so he thinks he's shit (or something Steve said much more eloquently, "You place your worth on how much people have valued you in the past."). He knew Eddie didn't feel that way, but it still felt...
Eddie felt levels above him, and yet, he still knelt to see Richie. To be with him. Or at least, that's what it felt like.
But he's Eddie. If there was anyone he wanted to tell about this, he'd want it to be Eddie.
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
that u like me
He watched Eddie type for a few minutes. Like he was typing and then erasing, over and over again. It made Richie tug at his curls and made his heart pound in his chest. I love him. He can't be scared away. Don't run away, I love you-
e.kaspbrak
I wanted to talk to you about that actually.
Richie furrowed his eyebrows. What does that mean? Had he done some shit he didn't remember?
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
what
e.kaspbrak
The other day, in the groupchat.
Richie pursed his lips, trying to think. That groupchat was used so fucking much, he really had no clue-
e.kaspbrak
Bill and Stan both said that they couldn't believe I was dating you.
Remember?
Right, his mind hummed in recognition.
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
the cute thing ?
e.kaspbrak
Yeah.
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
what about it ?
e.kaspbrak
Do you agree?
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
with what eds ?
e.kaspbrak
With them. That I deserve better than you.
Like you're a fucking tier lower or some shit. Like I'm settling.
Richie pursed his lips, letting out a breath. He must have taken a second too long because Eddie started up again.
e.kaspbrak
You do, don't you?
Richie hesitated only a second.
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
yeah sometimes
e.kaspbrak
I thought so.
Richie paused, trying to decipher if that was good or bad. If he had fucked up or not. Eddie was pretty straightforward, usually, but now, it felt kinda vague. It made him feel a little on edge, he tugged at his hair again -once.
e.kaspbrak
I would call you about shit like this but I want you be able to physically see it.
And reread it when you need to.
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
what the fuck are u talking about eds ?
Richie waited a breath, watching as the bubbles moved in the corner. Eddie was typing. A lot. It seemed. And then it all started coming in.
e.kaspbrak
I'm not better than you, dipshit. And even if I was, which I am fucking not, I choose you. Even if you think I shouldn't. Because that's my choice, not yours.
I want you.
And your shitty ass jokes, and stupidly good impressions, and crooked smile, and horrendously ugly shirts, you. Not just one thing, fucking all of it.
There's not a part of you that I am ashamed to date, okay? Get that through your thick skull.
You say you're clingy, right? Well, you could cling to me like a fucking koala, I don't give a fuck. Because you're you, and I want you.
You constantly want attention? Well, I want to fucking give it to you, so I will. Because I want to, and don't you fucking dare try and stop me.
Richie, I'm not better than you. We're not fucking better than each other, that's not how this works. You're fucked up and so am I. And I don't know about you, but I don't care about that shit. I just care about you. And personally, that's all that matters to me.
So, fuck the idea that I am. That I could do better. Because, even if that is true, which it's fucking not, I don't want anyone else.
You get that, asshole?
Richie blinked, once and then twice.
His eyes were burning, and his stomach was tied up in knots. His mind was moving so fast that he couldn't keep up, and the words were smoothing over his skin. It felt like they were fucking sinking into his skin, all the way through his chest -right onto his heart. He was so fucked for anyone else-
e.kaspbrak
And tell Bill and Stan that I'm fucking pissed.
Richie couldn't help himself. He was only so strong, and he was... he was so Eddie. And he was in love with one Eddie Kaspbrak.
trashmouth.tozier ✔️
I love you

Thursday Night
*You and your boyfriend Eddie making a long distance relationship work while you're at college and he's still in Hawkins. With so much fluff*
The phone only managed its second ring before Eddie lunged across the couch to answer it. He had been staring at the phone for the past twenty minutes in anticipation of your call. One unfortunate telemarketer made the mistake of not being you, and Eddie restrained himself from berating the man and instead hung up the phone with a dramatic slam. His chest had been consumed with a tense knot all day as he counted down the hours and minutes until 9 pm. Before you left Hawkins for college, the two of you meticulously planned how to make the long distance relationship work. Which included a set phone date every Thursday night. Even though you had classes the following morning, you'd never dare to suggest making plans on Friday night since that was reserved for Hellfire Club.
"Hey!" Your bright voice on the other end of the line, bursting out before he had any chance of answering, made everything else melt await.
"Hey, sweetheart." Eddie smiled into the receiver, holding it as close as possible as he leaned back on the lumpy couch. The warmth filling his voice caused a similar reaction with you. You sprawled on your back across the bed in your dorm room and held onto the phone with both hands. You had practically raced across campus to make it to your room from the library for your call.
"I missed you," you sighed dramatically as your customary greeting. You closed your eyes and found it easy to imagine Eddie comfortable in his trailer. And tried to imagine yourself curled into his side as if you two were having this conversation in person.
"Yeah, I missed you too," Eddie chuckled softly and brushed his hair away from his face. "So damn much."
"Longest two weeks of my life," you responded with a little pout, which drew another chuckle from Eddie.
"There's gotta be something out there making life worth living, yeah?" Eddie tried to encourage the conversation. Not that he couldn't spend the entire night talking about how he missed you, but your first call from college had been nearly two hours of you both sharing in that miserable feeling of distance. It helped in some small way, allowing you and Eddie to openly express everything with what you were going through. But a few small tears had been shed by you and Eddie had no desire to discuss anything even remotely sad that night.
"Maybe one or two things," you respond playfully. There was a specific bit of news you were excited to share with Eddie all day, nearly calling him earlier than your scheduled date.
"Oh yeah?" Eddie drew out each syllable to make you laugh.
"The ice cream here is pretty amazing. Emily, Laura, and I got some tonight before locking ourselves in the library," you answered him. You had met Laura in your British Literature class and Emily when you both were studying late one night. The three of you had formed a fast and deep bond over so many shared interests.
"Let me guess...black raspberry?"
"As if I could ever order anything else."
"You're so predicable, angel. In the best way possible." Eddie lowered his voice in a way that sent a warmth through your chest. It was true that you were very set in your ways, but it was something Eddie fully admired about you. It helped him know exactly what to do or say to bolster your spirits in a way no one else ever bothered to do for you. He put his whole heart into everything he cared about. And somehow you ranked at the top of that list.
"Maybe, but I think there's a few things that can still surprise you," you answered him with your best attempt at a flirty voice. Through the line, you heard the shuffling of Eddie fidgeting on the couch. Possibly sitting up straighter. He could never sit still for long, and sometimes you're sometimes surprised he stays on the phone so long with you. Even when playing Dungeons and Dragons, he needed to be up and moving behind his DM screen.
"Don't tell me you ordered chocolate syrup?" he asked with a dramatic gasp. "Who are you and what have you done with my girl?"
"I would never," you laughed at him. One hand dropped from the phone and rested on your chest to feel the racing of your heart. You would never get over how it felt when Eddie called you his girl. You chewed on your lower lip as you couldn't stop grinning.
"So you ladies fill yourselves with ice cream and then lock yourselves in the library for what?" Eddie asked after another moment of shuffling on the couch.
"Researching. For class. Writing a paper on Midsummer Night's Dream." Your answer came slower. Discussing the actual college part of college life still felt awkward. As much as you wanted to tell Eddie about all the work, you worried the boy held back for another senior year might feel uncomfortable. You knew it wasn't easy on him, as much as he acted like he didn't care. He really did try last year.
"I was placing bets if you'd pick that or the Scottish play over lunch. Dustin said you'd go with the faeries, but here I was thinking you'd love an opportunity to go on about how Tolkien was disappointed with the play." Eddie carried on talking without any change in his voice. He was picking at one of the rips in his jeans as a slight distraction, but that was more about how it felt to sit in that cafeteria without you.
"So, what do you owe Dustin?"
"Two cans of Mountain Dew. He's going to be insufferable tomorrow," Eddie grumbled.
"Two? Oh babe, I'm sorry. You want me to start writing a new paper?" You laugh softly as you can clearly imagine Dustin's smug grin over his prize. You had met Eddie's pet freshman briefly during the last days of your summer, a small gap between the start of high school and the start of college. But the kid had left quite the impression.
"Don't you dare. You're not going back to that library. You're all mine tonight," Eddie said in that low voice again.
"Eds, I'm all yours every night. And day too," you responded in an equally low voice. Silence passed between the two of you, not due to a lack of anything to say but having far too much to add. You bit your lip again and closed your eyes. Your attention focused on every little sound coming through the phone to picture exactly what Eddie is doing. How he crosses one arm over his chest, the phone tucked into the crook of his neck. His feet kicking back and forth. Hands fussing with his hair or his rings.
So many miles away, his eyes closed to do the same thing to focus on you. Listening to each small breath, the soft tapping of your fingers atop your chest. Imagining all the nights you lay next to him in bed looking exactly like that. His hand tensed in a fist with the memory of holding onto yours.
"Eddie?" you whispered into the phone.
"I'm all yours, princess. Your devoted subject," he answered immediately. A thump sounding out as he pressed a fist to his chest. You couldn't help another giggle as you rolled onto your stomach. The phone cord twisted around you, and you blew a short burst of air through your lips while trying to free yourself.
"Well, that wasn't the response I was expecting," Eddie teased you.
"Sorry, sorry. My phone is trying to strangle me. I think it's become sentient and is trying to kill me so it can have you all to itself," you poked him right back.
"Is that your way of asking me to drive down to save you?" Eddie asked and you didn't need to see his face to know the gleam in his eyes.
"Only if it's working," you said, before pausing. "Is it?" You couldn't help the tremor of hope in your voice. Outside of long weekends and breaks where you'd return to Hawkins, the two of you had yet to discuss other concrete plans to visit each other.
"I'm looking for my keys as we speak," Eddie said, but there was no shift of movement from the couch to accompany his words, and a twinge of sadness in his voice.
You swallowed a sigh while trying to think of something else to say. Perhaps this would be the time for your surprise. You sat up in the bed as your heart raced again. "Well, I managed to defeat the phone cord myself. So, you don't have to worry about cancelling Hellfire tomorrow. And then...And then I don't have to cancel my plans tomorrow..."
"Plans? More ice cream with your girls?"
"With the girls, yes. But no ice cream. We're up to something new," you said with a dramatic pause, waiting on Eddie to time your response.
"You leave home, you start trying all these new things," Eddie pretended to chide you with a click of his tongue. "Soon, you'll be dying your hair, getting all sorts of piercings and tattoos. Maybe even smoking!"
"Oh, it's something far more degenerate than that," you tried to stop yourself from laughing, but failed entirely.
"Well, color me intrigued," Eddie said through a wide grin. He drummed his fingers on his thigh in anticipation, not sure if you were still teasing each other, but still eager to find out whatever you were scheming.
"We've started a new club...The Brimstone Club." You divulged the little secret you had been working on for the past week, then held your breath as you waited for Eddie's reply.
"Brimstone...Jesus H. Christ..." Eddie's voice sounded softer, as if he had dropped the phone onto his lap. Which he had, in order to press both hands to his chest. You beamed with pride at the reaction before calling out his name in a sing song voice.
"We're getting together every Friday night. Just the three of us so far, but who knows. If only we had this cool logo on a tee shirt," you carried on as soon as you could hear Eddie breathing directly into the phone again.
"Sweetheart, you gotta give me a second here," Eddie interjected but you can hear the excitement in his voice. You needed to bite your tongue to stop yourself, even though you've been dying to for his opinion all day. "So...Brimstone. Where'd you get that idea?" he asked far too smugly.
"Oh, I don't know," you paused to slowly lick your lips. "It just...felt right. Like it just belonged with me. My missing other half."
"Hellfire and Brimstone," Eddie said softly, the tenderness in his voice causing your heart to ache. Your grip on the phone tightened and for a moment you worried you might break it.
You playing Dungeons and Dragons wasn't any new surprise for Eddie. It was how you two met after all. How you two started dating and fell in love. It was an important part of each of your lives, and you found a way to carry it with you through that distance. When suggesting the idea to Laura and Emily, you insisted on the same time Friday night as Hellfire club. So in some small way, it was like you and Eddie could still play DnD together.
"So, what character do you have ready? Another wizard or warlock?" Eddie asks after clearing the lump from the base of his throat.
"Oh...um, I'm not really playing a character," you said, your voice lowering from another burst of nerves.
"Huh?" Eddie frowned in confusion, thinking he misunderstood what you were saying.
"No, I'm...I'm the DM."
Eddie's eyes bulged open. He never knew you were interested in running your own campaign. You had sat by his side plenty of nights when he worked on plans for the next session, though he refused to share details so you wouldn't have an unfair advantage over the other guys in Hellfire. But you did always love listening to him talk about lore and world building, all the NPCs and monsters he created.
"God, I love you," he said breathlessly.
A bubble of excited laughter burst from your lips. "I love you too, Eds."
Eddie spent the following hour barraging you with questions, wanting to know what adventure hook you were starting with, who the final villain was, what homebrew rules you'd allow. You excitedly answered with as much detail as you had from the scribble of notes you made over the past week. He offered little suggestions here and there, just gentle guidance as he trusted your creativity. He only stopped when you failed to stifle a yawn.
"You've got class in the morning, sweetheart," he said, his own cheeks tired from the constant smiling you inspired.
"Yeah, so do you, mister," you responded haughtily, which makes him laugh. You're tempted to ask him to stay on the phone until you fall asleep, but you know Eddie needs to rest too.
"You'll tell me everything about the session next week? Every roll?"
"Promise, Eddie. I'll tell you so much that you'll be sick of it," you answered him with a sweet smile.
"Not even possible," Eddie shakes his head and then closes his eyes. He leans his head back to picture your face smiling up at him. "Is it Thursday yet?"

@quensty did this meme and is v. v. good at making all her memes v. compelling, so I came onto Tumblr dot com and entered Text into the Text box like a person who does Posts on Tumblr.
Put your spotify ‘on repeat’ playlist on shuffle and list the first ten songs. I use spotify only under extreme duress, so you’re getting my all-purpose phone music library, bc i'm a caveman who still youtube-to-mp3s all her songs one-by-one.
.
🎙unholy (ft. kim petras) by sam smith. still waiting for someone to cover this song with the pronouns changed. i just think it’d be a more interesting song if it was daddy left at home with the kids while mommy got up to morally dubious alchemical shenanigans with kim petras in the body shop. the beat fucks too hard to be wasted on some man.
🎙watch me by the pom poms. there was a long stretch of 2022 when my phone playlist was nothing but jinx song after jinx song. a few have become True Loves with rent free residence. see also: headshot and she’s got a gun.
🎙vacation by vitamin c. maybe u just need to listen to vitamin c’s vacation from the critically acclaimed movie pokemon (the first movie) (1999) and then you’ll calm down.
🎙freaks (ft. savage) by timmy trumpet. complete and unironic banger. no i will not elaborate. yes you’ve heard it before.
🎙mafia by kelis. jilco rewrote my brain chemistry and now i’m a cooler, sexier person, that’s all ✌️
🎙undergang by heldom & danheim. while stuck doing warehousing a few years ago, i got SUPER into the shamanic proto-viking category on spotify, a love affair that came to a screeching halt when spotify’s next trick was to pull a neo-nazi podcast out of its algorithmical hat, but not before i got some good beats to take home like a boyfriend hoodie. yikes.
🎙run boy run by woodkid. yo! still!! fucking!!! slaps!!!!
🎙reload by m.i.a. not a break-up song but it’s a break-up song to ME, you feel. you got some nerve / talking shit about me! / well that’s okay / your shit’s tired anyway 👋
🎙what a man gotta do by the jonas brothers. what? sometimes a lesbian yearns. mind ur business.
🎙the blue whale by steven price. the single best piece of auditory artwork ever composed, and i do say this having listened to hans zimmer’s ‘coward.’ steven price did not have to put his whole ass prussy into a 2015 bbc nature documentary about predation tactics in wildlife, but he did it for me specifically, knowing i would listen to it and be transported five inches to the left of my body every time. wild.
.
You’re supposed to tag people, etc, etc, but those of you who like doing these memes know who you are and should consider yourselves tagged! go forth!! 💚💚
#look ma i did a post!#don't remember any of my tags tho so we just hurtle this into the void like men i guess

RELATIONSHIP BUILDING
@nobully asked: the good kind of spam ⭐️☎🎼👋📱
Send ⭐️ (or multiple) for a headcanons about our muses.
Perhaps the only reason Nicolette still insists on putting up a front and telling unnecessary lies in Wang Yi's presence despite knowing how similar they are is not because she's afraid he'll reject her if he knows too much, but that he won't. She's spent her whole life believing there'd always be a space between her and ❛ regular people ❜ she couldn't cross because of the things she's done, that she's long given up actively trying. But here's this person who's similar to her in many ways and can clearly see past her bullshit, yet doesn't seem to give a shit one way or another. Nicolette has no idea how to handle the idea of being SEEN ( being KNOWN ), that it both terrifies her, and makes her a little desperate not to be left behind. No wonder she tries so hard to get under his skin still.
Jumping off your HC, Nicolette has a sneaking suspicion already that Wang Yi follows her accounts. She can't prove it because there's too many followers to go through and he doesn't use his name, but she just knows in her BONES. She's made it a point to include more pictures and posts involving the trio that sometimes they nearly overtake her usual content ( fashion, sexy selfies, makeup, cute animals, ya know ). Some of her followers are a little bitter wondering who these 2 guys she's hanging out with all the time are, but who cares! She's clearly having fun.
Send ☎ for your muse’s info in my muses phone (name, ringtone, picture, last text received/sent).
photo: At one point, it was a photo she took quite suddenly after intentionally goading him until he looked pissed off and flustered. But it has since been changed to a picture she took in secret on a complete whim while he and @archaictold were being nerds and discussing their research at the library as she hung out in thee background ( until they were ready to pay attention to her ). He's got this earnest, almost excited expression on his face— a more sincere look of happiness than she's sure he'd ever direct her way. She just couldn't resist capturing for herself. name: 🌊Yi-Yi🌸 ringtone: pink venom ( she rarely uses default ringtones. prefers music or memes as ringtones/texttones )

Look Back at the iPod Revolution
By TMC – October 23, 2024
Twenty-three years ago today, the world changed forever, though many of us didn’t realize it at the time. On October 23, 2001, Apple introduced the iPod, a device that promised to put “1,000 songs in your pocket.” And with that, our relationship with music, technology, and even culture itself took a massive leap forward.
Looking back, it's hard to imagine a world without the iPod. For millennials like myself, the iPod became a personal treasure chest of music, freeing us from the limitations of bulky CD players or cassette Walkmans. Before the iPod, managing a music collection was a clunky, physical affair—carrying around CDs or carefully making mixtapes. Then Apple changed the game.
The original iPod wasn’t the first MP3 player, but it was, without question, the most revolutionary. With its sleek design, intuitive scroll wheel, and the ability to store an entire music library on one small device, it redefined how we interacted with music. Suddenly, 1,000 songs, curated to your personal taste, were always at your fingertips.
A Moment of Technological History
The iPod’s launch was a watershed moment for Apple and marked the beginning of the company's ascent to becoming a tech powerhouse. Just a few years before, Apple was struggling, considered by many as a niche company with a relatively small audience. The iPod, however, wasn't just for techies or creatives—it was for everyone.
Steve Jobs famously pitched the iPod as "1,000 songs in your pocket" during the original presentation, and it was genius in its simplicity. The iPod wasn't just about storage capacity; it was about convenience, lifestyle, and bringing joy through music. Apple understood that people didn't just listen to music; they lived it. The ability to carry an entire personal soundtrack wherever you went wasn’t just innovative—it was liberating.
The Evolution of the iPod
The original iPod has since morphed through countless iterations—from the iPod Mini to the iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle, and the beloved iPod Touch, which blended the iPhone experience without the phone. But no matter the form, each version maintained the same core promise: music without compromise. Whether you were a casual listener or an audiophile, the iPod changed how we consumed music, transitioning us into the world of digital files and, eventually, streaming.
For someone like me, whose love for photography, history, and technology intersect, the iPod represents more than just a music player. It was a cultural artefact, an expression of personal taste, and a symbol of how technology could seamlessly blend into our everyday lives. It was part of the movement toward personalization and digital independence. You weren't just listening to what radio stations pushed at you; you were curating a soundtrack to your life, selecting what mattered most to you.
In today’s world of streaming services and smartphones, the iPod may feel quaint. Services like Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube Music have made accessing an endless library of songs nearly instantaneous. But the spirit of the iPod lives on in every playlist we make, every mood-based album we throw on during a morning jog, and every carefully curated collection of favourite tracks we build in a streaming app. The device that once physically fit in our pocket now exists digitally in the cloud, but the idea—the freedom to access music anywhere, anytime—was born with the iPod.
It’s worth taking a moment today to remember just how groundbreaking the iPod was. The first iPod marked the beginning of an era where technology became more personal, more integrated into our everyday experiences. It wasn't just a gadget; it was part of who we were music lovers, explorers, and storytellers.
For me, that first iPod is a memory of discovering music in a whole new way—whether it was playing with friends while listening to the latest tunes or traveling with the perfect soundtrack in my ear. It made music not just portable but personal.
Today, as I sit here with my iPhone 16 Pro, which effortlessly streams millions of songs through Apple Music, I can't help but feel nostalgic for that original iPod. It was a symbol of where we were headed, a hint at the technological revolution we were on the cusp of.
The iPod was more than just “1,000 songs in your pocket.” It was a promise—that the future of technology could be both powerful and deeply personal. And in many ways, Apple fulfilled that promise, shaping the world we live in today.
So, here's to the iPod, the little white box that put the world of music in our hands and set the stage for the future of technology. Though it's no longer with us, its legacy is everywhere—in our pockets, our playlists, and the way we experience the sounds that shape our lives.

"you can usually tell a lot about a person by the type of music they listen to. put your favourite playlist on shuffle and list the first ten songs then tag ten people — no skipping!"
I am an "anyone else who wants to do this" @wurm-food (But I also am just putting all my music on shuffle because all my playlists are for mixtapes and max out at 20 songs because that's about what you can fit on a CD-ROM
Chose my itunes and not my phone downloads because it was more accessible. There is some stuff on itunes I skip whenever I'm actively listening (like that dumb free U2 CD I literally cannot remove from my library), so I have ignored anything in that category.
"I Do What I Want" - MISSIO (YouTube) [MISSIO and the character Amelda/Allister from Yugioh are interlinked to me. I probably will not finish the revengeshipping fic that started this link, but now all their music just reminds me of my boy]
"King and Country" - Jeremy Soule (Oblivion soundtrack) (YouTube)
"DOLLA SIGN SLIME" - LIL NAS X (YouTube) [Apparently I hadn't listened to this one before. I bought the whole CD Montero but honestly I don't really listen to modern pop rap much so I don't think I finished it when I bought it.]
"No Diggity" - Blackstreet (YouTube) [When Pitch Perfect came out in college, one of my friends determined that I needed to know what they were referencing during that scene and god the original slaps so hard.]
"OMEGA [TV SIZE]" - Stereo Dive Foundation (Full song instead, YouTube) [The ONLY reason this isn't the full song is that I haven't found a legal way to buy any of the Moriarty the Patriot ops/eds here. I can stream them, I can figure out the names of the CDs they are on, but the only websites that sell them don't seem to ship to the US, or look sketchy AF. I've never gone on Amazon and been told "no purchase options available" so often. It's infuriating.]
"Trap" - 橘 麻美 (YouTube) [Fun fact, there is a sound near the beginning that sounds a bit like honking that gets me when I listen to the CD in the car.]
"Reign of the Septims" - Jeremy Soule (Oblivion Soundtrack) (YouTube)
"Dancing With Our Hands Tied" - Taylor Swift (YouTube)
"House of Wolves" - My Chemical Romance (YouTube) [eeeey finally something I'd consider "my music." My music (broad) is a collection of experiences and tastes, some gifted by others, some discovered myself. I did get recommended MCR versus literally naturally discovering Three Days Grace off the song "Pain" on someone's myspace around the same time, but it's still something I would have wanted to find with no coaxing.]
"Other Side" - New Years Day (YouTube) [another "my music!" I don't remember what I was doing online when I found their Epidemic EP but I remember being really excited about it. I still regret not going to one of their concerts that I became aware of day of in a bar near me.]
And that's all! If you want to do it, do it too! No pressure!
#tag game#this was fun!#i think the only thing that somehow itunes missed was literally any of my juggalo music???#whatever theres a lot of Twiztid on there and a little dark lotus#if thats relevant#lmao

Mie, I’m begging for some Jean college au bf hcs - im literally so down bad for this man and the way you write men is just 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
Absolutely, not a problem 😌 I saved this ask as a draft a while ago when you sent it, sorry for just now getting to it. Anyway, I love Jean with my whole heart, best boy, best boyfriend <33
King of forehead kisses, and not even just because of his height in comparison to yours; he just likes it. He likes the feeling of pressing his lips against your skin, and making you feel safe.
Brings you tea or coffee however you like it every day without fail. If he can get it to you in the morning before work/school then he’ll do that, if not he’ll meet you some time in the middle of the day to drop it off. Your own personal courier just for drinks.
He… has a thing for long(er) nails. He loves the feeling of them against his skin, even if you’re not scratching to apply pressure—just you holding his hand them grazing his skin is enough for him.
That being said, he will pay for you to get your nails done. Actually, he’ll pay for… almost anything you want, but the nails benefit him as much as they do you so feel free to ball out.
He never blowdries his hair because he doesn’t... know how to do the back of it. You did it for him once and he hasn’t stopped thinking about it since, but he’s also too embarrassed to ask you to do/style it again.
On the subject of hair, he does do his best to style it and take care of it, but he’s a sucker whenever you play with it. Sometimes he feigns like you’re messing up all his hard work, but he’ll literally crane his head into your touch. He loves it.
The first time he lays on top of you and you run your hands through his hair... top 10 most euphoric moments of his life. He tries to fight off the sleep threatening to take over him, but it’s futile. Give it 15 minutes at most before he’s knocked out like a baby.
Dogs love him. Anytime you’re in a park or just taking a walk and there’s a dog around, it’ll come up to him and he looks adorable leaning down to pet it. He loves dogs, too! So he’s always happy to stop and pet them. He’d be a 10/10 dog dad.
Has your name saved in his phone with two hearts at the end. Do not point it out.
Loves taking pictures together and if you guys are on a date, he’ll ask someone to get a picture for him. He just likes having them to look back on (and to send to his mom, later).
He doesn’t mind painting classes or videos or tutorials, but he hates paint by numbers kits. He claims that they have no sense of color theory and that it takes the originality and fun out of painting. Not to mention the quality of the paints isn’t great to begin with; all of which he takes very seriously.
It’s pretty cute actually, to see him get worked up over the paint kits. He claims that painting and drawing isn’t even something he takes “that seriously,” it’s just a hobby for him (one he’s insanely good at); but in moments like these, you can tell that he’s way more into art and art theory and history than he lets on.
Huge movie guy, from animated movies to martial arts movies, Jean is usually willingly to give anything a watch at least once. When he’s high, he can go on about his favorite directors and art styles and movie details for hours if you don’t stop him. It’s super cute. Just don’t bring up Moana, because he’ll start crying.
Arm around the shoulder kind of boyfriend for sure. It’s a casual way of keeping you near him and letting everyone know that you guys are together. Plus it allows for him to easily pull you into him for a quick forehead kiss when needed.
Listen. If you hug his arm, he’s on cloud nine. He tries to be nonchalant about it but he’s about three seconds away from his eyes rolling back in his head it feels that good to him. Bonus if you lean your head on his bicep a little—then he’s a goner.
He takes his bagels very seriously and believes that both you and him deserve nothing but the best quality bagels. He’ll grumble if a bakery gives you guys a less than favorable one and make a note that taking the long route to get to his favorite place is much more worth it.
Always makes you walk on the side furthest from the cars. If he notices you’re not, he’ll just shuffle behind you until he’s shouldering the street and you’re on the inside.
He grew up on a kind of modern ranch situation; not exactly all the way in the countryside, but not isolate from the city, either. Because of this, he knows how to ride horses, take care of smaller farm animals, tend to plants, and yes he knows how to use a lasso. You wouldn’t know any of that though, because he never ever talks about it. The only way you find out is when he takes you to visit his mom’s house for the first time, and she asks him for a hand around the place.
(He’s got a cowboy hat, too, but refuses to put it on. He got it when he was, like, nine, okay, leave him alone).
When he thinks you look tired, he’ll wrap his arms around your shoulders to hug you. It’s usually followed up with a kiss to your head, and a promise that you guys will go home soon and get food on the way.
He’s a really good cook. He just understands and flavors and pairings really well, so he doesn’t need a recipe to make something that tastes good; he just kind of knows what to add to get the balance he’s looking for.
Naturally, he’ll cook for you. Especially if he finds out that you haven’t eaten all day/in a long time. He doesn’t care if it’s 11pm and it might seem excessive to make steak and potatoes with a side salad at this hour, he’s gonna do it to make sure you eat, and you are going to sit there and watch.
He also bakes pretty well, though he isn’t as experimental with his baking as he is with his cooking. He usually sticks to what he knows, and it’s not cupcakes and brownies and cakes; he’s better at croissants, and cheesecakes, and canelés.
Dating Jean means getting along with his friends. If you guys didn’t know each other before you started dating, be prepared to be ambushed by Connie and Sasha (after Jean stops hiding you away and gives them the green light lmfao). Neither of them waste time with the small talk and formalities; straight into mini golfing and beer pong. They make you feel welcome right away.
Sasha always teases that you’re too good for Jean, and that she might just steal you away for herself some day. Sasha is also Jean’s main confidant, so she really knows just how much he loves you, and yeah, she teases him for being lovesick, but really she’s happy for Jean. And proud of him for facing his feelings like this.
Connie adores you, and you know he trusts you when he starts going to you for advice/help. Could be anything from schoolwork, to what color he should get his new shoes in. He’s also the one who, surprisingly, you have the sentimental talks with about your relationship with Jean. It’s easy to overlook, but Connie loves Jean, and he’s come to love you too; he just wants you both to be happy, so he’s there to listen when you need it.
Jean waits outside of your classroom after you’ve had a test or presentation, usually with a drink or a snack, or the promise of taking you out as a treat. Always tells you he’s proud of you, and is there to comfort you if you think you didn’t do too well.
He does not shut up about whatever major you’re in. It could be the same as his; it could be the complete opposite as his. He thinks it’s so sick that you’re doing it, you make it look cooler, you make it look better, and he’s certain you’re the smartest person in your program.
He’s pretty serious about his studies, too, so he’s always down to study with you in the library whenever you’re both free. More often than not, he shows up after you, usually with food or extra chargers. He greets you with a kiss on the forehead, and asks you how you are while massaging your shoulders gently. If it’s been a while since you took a break, that’s the first item on the list, after that, he gets to work and stays with you until you’re ready to go, even if he doesn’t have as much work to do.
He always sits across from you. This goes for when you’re in the library, or out to eat at a restaurant; Jean loves sitting across from you. He gets to see your face the best that way, and he adores looking into your eyes when you talk.
He’s not... not a morning person. He’s not up at 6am ready to grind, but he wakes up before noon; let’s say 10am is his happy medium. That being said, if you wake up before him, regardless of the time, there’s a 9/10 chance he’ll lay on your back and tell you to hush so you guys can sleep for 10 more minutes.
If you’re (close) friends with Eren, Mikasa, and Armin, Jean is... happy you’ve got people to rely on, but, “Of all people on the planet, you put your trust in Jaeger?” He acts so bitter (because he is), but deep down inside, he’s glad you have Eren to rely on if you need to.
(Also, you have to humble him and remind him that he and Eren aren’t all that different. If you like him, why wouldn’t you get along with Eren, bye).
Turns out though, that it’s not Eren who threatens to beat him up if he breaks your heart. It’s not even Mikasa, although, her threat goes without saying; it’s Armin he’s terrified of.
The last time Armin hated someone, it was this guy in your program, who happened to share a few mutual classes with him, too. Jean never knew the full story, just that he’s pretty sure that kid dropped out the following semester.
If you have a job on campus, Jean usually doesn’t show up while you’re working (knowing how embarrassed he would be if you did that to him), unless you work the night shift and it’s dead. Connie, however, does show up; usually in some kind of crisis (“Please help me, I don’t know what the fuck APA formatting is and this is due tonight, please, please, please!!”). Your coworkers actually thought Connie was your boyfriend for a minute. That’s when Jean starts showing up more lmfao.
He makes it a point to go on a scheduled, night out, kind of date at least twice a month. He knows life gets busy with school and work and midterms, but he always makes sure you both set side a time to take a well-deserved break and be with each other.
He’s the romantic type, so these dates are pretty swoon worthy, too. Drive-in movies, nice dinners, classy art exhibits, Jean plans it all. On that note, he really likes planning dates; he just doesn’t like talking about them with his friends beforehand.
All in all, very romantic, very precious boyfriend. He’s always thinking about you, what you need, and how he can help you out. You’re one of his main priorities, and he just wants to treat you right.

“What class do you have next?” Your friend, and roommate Liz asked. You were both walking out of the cafeteria. It was 1:15, you had just finished lunch and you had fifteen minutes until your next class. You pushed the doors open together and braced yourselves as the cool late September breeze hit you, blowing your jackets open. You put both sides of the jacket together in front of you and crossed your arms to block the cold out.
“Um,” you thought back for a moment, the cold temporarily knocking your senses right out of you. “British Literature.”
If you were being honest, you had taken this course because it fulfilled one of your requirements, but in the end it felt like one of the most rewarding parts of your college experience so far. The material was interesting, and instead of being bored out of your mind throughout the whole hour and a half of class––it was actually entertaining. You had your professor to thank for that.
“Oooh,” Liz twisted her lips to the side to suppress a knowing smile, but the look in her eyes gave it away. “With Professor Holland?” She asked, batting her eyelashes innocently.
You rolled your eyes and bit your tongue to hide your smile. “Yes,” you shoved her playfully to the side making her step in a pile of leaves, the crunch under boots loud as ever as it carried through the crisp air. “Shut up.”
You and Liz had been roommates since your first year at university and had now spent four, coming up on five semesters rooming together. Luckily, you really hit it off, and easily fell into a routine together, forming a bond as you ate lunch and dinner together, studied in the library, had dance parties in your dorm, and more. You knew each other inside and out, often having random late night conversations while you procrastinated your work or couldn’t sleep, about literally anything and everything. Bottom line is, you trusted each other, which is why she knew about your sort-of-crush on Professor Holland.
To be fair everyone had a thing for him, he was just that kind of guy. He was sweet and compassionate and funny. Professor Holland was one of those genuine professors who sincerely cared about their students and their well-beings. He was incredibly understanding. He’d schedule dozens of meetings with his students all in one day just because he wanted to help and make sure they were all alright. He liked to check in every now and then, not because he had to, but because he wanted to.
From what you could tell he also seemed like a people person. No matter who he was with, whether it was a student, his teaching assistant Jacob, or his fellow professors––he was always attentive, cracking jokes, enjoying the conversation. Everyone seemed to love him. But you could also tell that a part of him was just a tad bit cocky, but in a joking and love-able way.
All this goes to show that you spent way too much time thinking about him, and observing him, which could either be seen as really endearing or really creepy.
“Look I’m just saying,” Liz shrugged, “Enjoy the class.” She nudged you, “I know I would.”
Realizing you were approaching the writing and arts center, and Liz’s next class was in the building across the street, you sent her off. “Yeah yeah, okay. Bye.” You tightened your arms around you and scurried off, skipping a crack in the sidewalk and walking up the steps to the building. You opened the door and were immediately welcomed by a rush of warm air and let out a sigh, rubbing your hands together as you made your way to the lecture hall.
You pulled your phone out and checked the time, 1:22. You still had 8 minutes to spare. You were still walking and only glanced up from your phone right as you were about to walk into the door and were stopped suddenly when you crashed into a hard chest. You immediately felt two warm hands grasp your arms to steady you and were suddenly enveloped by the smell of tea and mint.
“Woah! I’m sorry, love, are you alright?”
You froze as you looked up, feeling very much like a deer in headlights as you realized you quite literally crashed into your professor. “Oh––um,” you swallowed, suddenly feeling like the air was escaping you. You cleared your throat trying to save yourself from anymore embarrassment. “I’m fine––I’m sorry, that was my fault. I wasn’t looking––” You paused when you noticed the small smile on his face, his warm eyes making you forget what you were going to say.
“It’s alright, Y/N. It was partially my fault as well, I was too focused on––” he seemed to snap out of some trance, straightening himself up as his hands dropped back down to his sides and into his pockets. “Uh, well that’s not important.” He pulled one hand out of his pocket––he was wearing those blue slacks that you thought made his thighs look great, respectfully, of course. He checked the time on his watch and you had to stop yourself from ogling the veins in his arms as he did so.
He looked up at you, brows furrowed playfully and you actually had to remind yourself to breathe. “You’re almost ten minutes early. You that eager to see me?” He ended his question with a teasing smirk and your mouth opened and closed a few times before you managed to string together a response.
“I––um, I just really like this class and you––you’re my favorite professor.” You blurted out, your cheeks heating up as you realized what you just admitted. You had to force your eyes to go back to their normal size after they practically bulged at the realization of what you said. “And I mean, I just happened to get here early so...I thought I might as well get settled in.”
Your professor cleared his throat, trying to hide his smile as he glanced down at his shoes for a moment then back up at you. “Well then.” He extended his arm, pointing towards the open door of the hall and stepped aside. “Please, after you.”
You gave him a small smile in return along with a quiet thank you and stepped through the door. But before you could walk over to your seat, you felt him lean over behind you to talk lowly in your ear. He was standing a respectably close distance, but his presence was so overwhelming it was as though you felt him everywhere. His breath caressed the smooth skin of your cheek as he spoke.
“I’m technically not allowed to have favorites, but I do appreciate that you enjoy having me as your professor, darling.” It shouldn’t have had such an effect on you, really, it shouldn’t have. But something about him referring to himself by his title really did something to you. You took a sharp inhale as you stood up straight, your whole body on high alert as you turned your head towards him, your eyes refusing to look at his and instead finding solace in the fabric of his navy blue button up––which he’d rolled up to his forearms.
“And if it means anything, I rather do enjoy having you in my class as well.” You snuck a peek at him, lifting your gaze slowly and only caught a glimpse of his soft lips as he smiled before walking over to his desk.
You felt your heart pounding in your chest as you walked up the steps to your usual spot in the middle row, near the aisle. Your legs felt like they were going to give out any minute, and the man hadn’t even touched you––well not in the way you wanted him to, anyway. But enough of that.
You checked your phone again, trying to calm down your heartbeat as you took in a deep breath, 1:28. People started shuffling into the class, the overlapping sounds of chatter and laughter rupturing the energy the room had when it was just the two of you. At 1:32 Professor Holland started the class, getting everyone’s attention smoother than anyone should be able to. You could almost feel everyone’s eyes focusing on him, some weren’t even listening to him, they were just so entranced by how good he looked and the way he sounded––his accent was just so endearing, you had to admit it.
The hour and a half went by rather quickly but today you were more aware of yourself, of Professor Holland––even more than usual. It seemed as though his eyes would travel to your direction more often, after he made jokes as if to see your reaction, or while he paused in his speeches.
At the end of the class, despite there being dozens of other students moving around you, you felt as though your professor was watching you as you made your way out of the room. But it had to be your imagination, there was just no way.
When you got back to your dorm, Liz still wasn’t back yet so you decided to take a shower and spend some time relaxing. You had already done your work for the next day and your other work for the rest of the week––well, you decided you’d do it later.
You changed into sweats after your shower and hopped on your bed, deciding to switch between your apps for an hour or so––honestly you’d lost track of time. Liz strolled in soon after, closing the door with a loud groan, throwing her bag on the floor.
You smiled, looking up at her from your lying position on the bed. “Hello to you too.”
She grumbled in response, finally looking at you. When she noticed you were already wearing your pajamas she pointed to you, her brows raised. “Good idea!” She immediately went to her drawers and picked out a random pair of sweats and an oversized sweatshirt, changing with lightning speed for someone who was sluggishly groaning not even a minute before.
She grabbed her phone and sat on her bed opposite yours, cross-legged, facing you. She looked at your face for a few seconds before squinting her eyes at you. “You have something to say. Spill.”
You rolled your eyes, a smile on your face.
She looked at you pointedly, “Well go on.”
So you told her about your encounter with the infamous brit today, how you bumped into him, what he said to you, the glances he sent your way. When you finished recounting everything you took a deep breath, “But––this could all just be in my head you know, just me overreacting.”
She stared at you with a dead expression. “Are you fucking dumb?”
“Hey!”
She ignored you, rolling her eyes while she tried not to laugh. “Dude he totally wants to fuck you.” She said nonchalantly.
Your eyes bulged, “W–What do you––What?”
“Oh please, it’s so obvious.”
You opened your mouth but when nothing came out, you paused and looked down at the carpet. After a few moments you looked back up at her to find her with a knowing smirk on her face. “Are you serious?”
“Of course I am, when am I not?” When you were about to speak, she interrupted you. “Don’t answer that. But look, it seems like he’s into you. I think you should hit that.”
“But we––that’s not allowed!” You paused, “Is it?”
She laughed, “A ha! So you do want to!”
“Oh shut up, you already knew that. Everyone wants to, it’s not a big deal.”
She made a face, “Yes, but you’re the only one who actually has a chance at getting it.”
You looked at her, a skeptical look on your face. “Even if that was true––he’s still my professor…”
She sighed, rolling her eyes. “Yeah but it’s not like it’s in the handbook or anything. Plus, you’re both legal adults, so. There you have it. You’re free to bone.”
“You did not just say that.”
“But I did.” She smiled, lying down in her bed. “You really could, though. Just don’t tell anybody.” When you didn’t say anything else, she spoke up. “Okay I’m gonna take a nap now. You have a lot to think about.”
You ignored the last part and went back to your phone, “Yeah you do that.”
Throughout the rest of the afternoon and night you couldn’t stop thinking about this whole situation. This was bad...Or was it? It seemed all too complicated, that was for sure. You weren’t even sure he looked at you or thought of you that way.
You fell asleep playing all the pros and cons of hypothetically getting with him, your mind an endless loop of your professor, his voice, how he sounded when he practically whispered that he liked being your teacher. This was all too much.
❊❊❊❊
All of your senses were in overdrive. All you could feel were the hands tracing every curve of your body, playing you like a toy they’d made themselves. The tongue, teeth and lips following and leaving marks everywhere the hands traced. All you could hear was that sweet, rough voice telling you praises and calling you endearing names as your whole body shivered from the pleasure. Your eyes locked in on the ones staring up at you with pure hunger and awe as you ground yourself down on his cock.
“That’s it darling, just like that. You’re doing so good for me.” His lips curved into that oh so familiar smirk. “I taught you well, didn’t I?”
You woke up sweaty, your shirt sticking to your torso, a wet patch on your panties, your nipples pebbled in the cool air of your dorm room. A sex dream. Of course you had a fucking sex dream about him. Fuck. You were just lucky that your next class with him was on Thursday so you didn’t have to see him today. Because that would not help you at all.
You checked the time on your phone, squinting at the brightness before turning it all the way down, 10am. You got out of bed with a groan and took your toiletries bag and your towel to the bathroom, deciding to take a shower this morning, instead of later on at night. Lord knows you certainly needed one. A cold one too.
You were frustrated, frustrated with yourself for feeling this way about your professor––sure, he was only a few years older than you, but it was the principle of the matter––frustrated that you were overthinking this entire thing, and most importantly you were annoyed because you were extremely horny.
When you got into the bathroom, you locked the door and set your stuff down. You put your hands on both sides of the sink and looked at yourself in the mirror. Who are we and what happened? You sighed and grabbed your toothbrush, brushing your teeth quickly and aggressively, since everything seemed to be a hassle this morning. You’d hoped that once you hopped in the shower, you’d calm down.
When you made your way inside, you sighed contently at the feeling of the warm water pattering against your skin, freshening you up immediately. Your nipples were still hard, between your legs still wet. So you brought a hand down between your thighs, the other to your breast as you stood under the water––almost as though the water was washing away the sinful act and thoughts right at the source. You laughed at the thought, nope, nothing can wash this away.
You squeezed your breast and tugged at your nipple, rubbing your sensitive bud just the way you liked. You were still sensitive from...your dream, so it didn’t take long for everything to build up. You couldn’t help yourself, your mind brought back the remnants of last night that you remembered, the way his hands gripped you when he steadied you, the way his arms looked, and you came with a whimper that was louder than you would have liked. You bit your lip, closing your eyes and resting your head back on the tiles as the water continued to fall on you.
When you came back to your dorm, Liz was on her way out but she stopped, raising her brows at you, “So have you come to a conclusion?”
You walked past her into the dorm, “Go to class, Liz.” You heard her cackle down the hallway as you closed the door.
You got dressed casually, not rushing since there was nowhere for you to go and decided to go to the local cafe near the school. You needed to clear your head and get some work done, and you definitely would not get any of it done in your dorm. Not today, anyway.
You checked the weather and seeing that it was a little warmer today, you put a sweatshirt on, grabbed your bag along with your phone and your laptop and you were on your way. The breeze felt refreshing this morning as you stepped out of your dorm. Your walk to the cafe was only ten or so minutes but it felt good.
Stepping into the little shop, you were immediately hit by the aroma of coffee and sweets, surrounded by the sound of light chatter and utensils clattering on the wooden tables. The warm light above you brought a sense of comfort as you made your way over to the counter. The line was rather short so you managed to order your usual drink and snack quickly. As you were waiting for the cashier to hand you your things, your eyes scanned the shop––the ambience was rather nice and the talking almost felt like background noises. You wouldn’t mind staying here to work.
As you gathered your things, you turned around in search of a free table––which would be the deciding factor in whether or not you would stay, you did not want to awkwardly share the small table space with some stranger. You took a few steps into the seating area and almost choked on your breath when you made eye contact with the last person you wanted to see today.
He smiled charmingly at you, teeth and all and quickly made his way over before you even had a chance to think of escaping. “Y/N!” He stood in front of you, his eyes bright. He was actually happy to see you? He was always happy to see everyone, it didn’t mean anything.
His voice snapped you out of your annoyingly loud thoughts. “Fancy seeing you here.” He nudged you playfully, “How are you?” He was wearing a very tight white button up that was unbuttoned until the third, showing a generous amount of his chest, a grey suit and pants, along with a messenger bag slung over his shoulder. It took you a few more seconds than it should have to process that there were actual words coming out of his mouth.
You forced a smile onto your face but the more you looked into his eyes, the more genuine it became, almost impossible to wipe off. “I’m good. Was just grabbing breakfast before I start my work. You?”
He raised his cup, “Same as you. Have a bit of time before my next class.”
You noticed that you couldn’t tell what exactly was in the cup and your curiosity got the better of you. You pointed to the cup clasped in his fingers, “Is that coffee?”
He furrowed his brows in mock offense, “I only drink tea, darling.” He leaned his upper body forward to whisper to you, his cheek almost touching yours, “I’d think you would know that about your favorite professor.” He tutted playfully as he stood up straight again, watching you, a look that you couldn’t quite pinpoint in his eyes as he watched you over his cup, taking a teasingly long sip.
You looked up at him, your mouth slightly open, not a clue what to respond. When he pulled the cup away from his mouth he looked down at you, his gaze drifting down and you’d never felt more exposed, despite the fact that you were wearing two layers of clothing. “I like your sweatshirt.” He smiled, glancing down at it before looking directly into your eyes, his head lowered slightly.
Your eyes widened in surprise and your head snapped down to see your spiderman sweatshirt looking back at you boldly. Oh––Oh. You lifted your head back up to find him still smiling at you softly, he didn’t seem to be teasing you at all. “Um thanks.” You could feel your cheeks heating up, despite the cool air that swept your legs as someone opened the door to the cafe. “Are you uh–– a marvel fan?”
He pursed his lips playfully, “Yeah,” his hand came up to rub the back of his neck, “Yeah you could say that.” He licked his lips and took another sip of his drink.
Your eyes, with a mind of their own, trailed down the column of his throat, following the vein on the side of his neck, the way his adams apple bobbed as he swallowed the warm liquid. The action almost seemed provocative, in both meanings of the term.
Suddenly you felt very hot and you knew that you had to get out of there before you made a fool of yourself in front of everyone, but most importantly him. You perked up, “I uh––I have to go professor, but it was nice talking with you. See you tomorrow!” With that you quite literally ran off, wincing as you turned around, having noticed the way his lips parted as if to speak, a furrow between his brows appearing out of confusion and concern. You really had to get control of yourself.
You practically berated yourself as you speed walked away. God, that was so stupid. And not to mention, incredibly rude! He’d probably be upset with you now, or maybe even mad. It’s just––unbelievable what he did to you, without even actually doing anything. It took you the entire walk there to realize that you unconsciously made your way back to your dorm––so much for the library. But you’d had enough social interaction for today, so you decided you’d stay there.
You got in your bed and buried yourself under the covers, deciding you needed the comfort of being hidden in your mattress after the embarrassment you’d just experienced. You lied there just staring at the plain, white ceiling for way too long until you let out a loud huff and sat up, before grabbing your computer to start your work.
Deciding to check your college email before you started, since they were incessant and it was easy to miss something, you scanned down the list of messages in your inbox. Your eyes skimmed through the boxes on the left of your screen, notifications that your professors left feedback on your assignments, the weekly newsletter, club events, a message from Holland, Tom––
You shut your computer immediately, eyes bulging as you held your breath. You swallowed thickly, as you stared into nothing in front of you, your eyes barely taking in anything, your mind a big ball of fuzz.
After taking a few deep breaths, and telling your overdramatic brain to calm down, you opened the laptop again. Biting your lip, you hovered your mouse over the message, reading over the small bits of information you could see in the preview.

Hi Y/N, I just wanted to make …
You could feel your heart beating through your chest. Oh God––Wanted to make sure what?? The sensible part of your brain said to just open it to figure it out for yourself. But the irrational, idiotic part of your brain was yelling at you to not open it under any circumstance. What if he wanted to make sure you didn’t get the wrong idea? Did he know how you felt about him? Were you that obvious? Maybe he thinks you’re clinically insane and wants to make sure you’re getting the attention you need? You did run off like a crazy person, after all.
You shut your eyes tight and groaned loudly into your hands. Liz walked in and whistled lowly, taking in everything in front of her. You looked up, confused and looked at the time, realizing it had already been two hours since you first left the dorm, meaning she was done with her classes for the day.
“What’s up?” She took a seat at her desk, propping her legs on the table as she leaned back.
You waved her off, deciding it would be best to let this blow over and ignore it for now. You’d go back when you were in the right state of mind.
She started telling you about her day and annoyingly, your brain decided today would be the day that it would not shut off. Your brows were furrowed as you tried your best to focus on what your friend was saying, but she wasn’t even looking in your direction, staring up into the air above her as she spoke animated, hands waving around, so she didn’t even notice you struggling to pay attention.
Your eyes kept flitting back to the screen of your computer, your fingers swiping across the trackpad to turn it back on when the screen’s brightness lowered every now and then.
Liz looked back at you and stopped her spiel. “Alright what’s up with you?”
You sighed deeply and looked up at her. “Sorry, sorry. I just––I saw Professor Holland today––”
“Already?” She interrupted you, a goofy smile on her face. “Damn, you work fast.”
You threw the nearest pillow at her, “Shut up! I didn’t fuck him.”
“You should’ve.” She pointed out, holding the pillow to her chest.
You glared at her until she raised her hands in surrender, then continued, your eyes bouncing from object to object in the room as you babbled.
“I went to the cafe and I saw him and he came over to me and we started talking––and he whispered in my ear and he was joking around with me and he sipped his tea and he was super close to me and super hot, and I couldn’t handle it so I basically ran off without giving him a chance to say bye.” You took a deep breath, “And then he sent me an email after I saw him and I still haven’t opened it because I’m scared and I don’t know what he said…” You took another breath and looked at your friend, blinking as she just stared at you.
After a moment, she spoke up. “Dude just open the email.”
Your eyes widened almost in offense. “Did you not listen to anything I just said?”
“Yeah you practically fucked in the cafe then you got scared and ran away.” She spoke nonchalantly and you could tell she was fighting off a smile. “Look, eventually you have to open the email anyway, you can’t just ignore it. So just do it and rip the bandaid off.” You were about to speak up when she interrupted you, “I promise it won’t be half as bad as you think. We both know your mind is absolutely filled with the craziest ideas.”
You huffed and fell back down on the bed, not bothering to argue since you both knew she was right.
“Shit, I’m starving.” She looked at the time, “Yeah it’s about time for me to eat food.” She stood up, “Come on, let’s go.”
“Can you please get something for me?” She knew you well enough that you didn’t have to tell her what to get. You gave her your best smile and shrugged your shoulders.
“Are you serious.” She looked at you, deadpan, standing like the little emoji of the woman standing in place with her arms at her sides.
You had to suppress your smile, “What if I see him?” You asked incredulously, lying further in the covers. “I’d rather stay in here and hide, for now.”
“You have class with him tomorrow––”
“That’s why I said for now.”
She cracked a smile, rolling her eyes as she grabbed her things, “You’re ridiculous.”
“Love you!”
“Yeah yeah,” she waved her hand and walked out the door.
A few moments passed after Liz left and you sat up yet again, putting your computer on your lap as you swiped the trackpad, making the screen light up again. You checked the time, it had been almost an hour since he sent the email, you really shouldn’t make him wait any longer. Not that he’s waiting at all, he probably didn’t even notice that you hadn’t responded.
You inhaled and exhaled slowly, swallowed your nerves and clicked on the email.

Hi Y/N,
I just wanted to make sure everything was alright. You seemed kind of stressed when you left earlier and I’m hoping it wasn’t because of anything I did. Can we check in tomorrow in my office? Hope everything is going well.
Warmest Regards,
Professor Holland
He wanted to meet tomorrow after class. In his office. Alone.
Oh, fuck. You could hear Liz in your head going Yes, fuck. But you quickly shoved her aside.
You read over the email about five times to make sure you weren’t misinterpreting anything, because that would be even more embarrassing. You clicked the reply button and slowly wrote out your response.
Hi Professor Holland,
Everything is fine, but thank you for asking, I appreciate the concern. I’m free tomorrow after class if you’re available then.
Thank you!
Y/N
You hit send and not even two minutes later, you received a response.
Hi Y/N,
Perfect! I’ll see you then :)
Warmly,
Professor Holland
How on earth were you supposed to focus on your work now? More importantly, how were you going to focus in class tomorrow?
❊❊❊❊
The next day, the butterflies in your stomach would not calm down. When you stepped into the class, he was talking to another student and you tried to sneak past to your seat unnoticed. You thought you’d succeeded but once you sat down and looked up, you made direct eye contact with him and you swear you stopped breathing. You barely even recognized the sound of everyone moving around you, getting ready for class to start.
He parted his lips and reluctantly turned back to the student still talking to him, snapping out of his daze, but not after glancing back at you. You swallowed and sank down in your seat. This was going to be a long class.
At 1:35, class started. Professor Holland stood up and clasped his hands, making his way to the middle of the floor in front of everybody, his voice reverberating through the room.
“Good afternoon everybody. Hope you’re all doing well.” His eyes found yours and you bit your lip nervously. You could see him swallow as he watched you, before moving his gaze elsewhere. Was that because of you? Surely, it had to be a coincidence. Maybe you made him uncomfortable. Oh great––
He went on, seemingly unfazed, eyes darting back to you subtly before continuing. The discussion soon turned to the book you’d just been assigned to read. The book was rather lengthy but there were always so many things to talk about within only a few pages––which you loved, so it was taking you all a while to go through everything together in class.
The conversations often took up a lot of the class time since Professor Holland simply loved talking and he always found everyone’s interpretations interesting and worth exploring––eager to hear our classmates perspectives. He also often said that he was not good at using technology, so he preferred to just talk and show rather than use his computer. Honestly, you found it endearing.
The conversations were always interesting to listen to, people never failed to give you insight on things you hadn’t even thought of before, but sometimes––some people were just a little stupid.
Someone brought up a slightly sexist point that made absolutely no sense but since you weren’t the one to call someone out in front of a room full of people, you stuck to your facial reactions instead of audibly responding. You turned back to the front of the class to see Professor Holland’s opinion to find that he was watching you, trying and failing to suppress his smile.
He put both hands in his pockets which you found ironic considering they would jump out any time soon––he loved to talk with his hands. His eyes got serious, the smile on his face a little less friendly as he addressed the sophomore who made the comment. “I don’t know if you’re aware of how ludicrously sexist that comment you just made was, but now you know.” He turned to the rest of the class. “Remember to think before you speak. This isn’t to necessarily call anyone out. It’s a warning. Senseless remarks will not only affect my view of you, but your grades as well.”
He went on and tried to shape the boy’s comment into something appropriate to discuss and you honestly couldn’t focus on anything else he said, you were just looking at him in awe and in shock. Sure, this was the bare minimum, but since it was so rare to see, it was very noticeable and even impressive when you noticed it.
God, you adored this man.
Near the end of class, he announced the next assignment, a paper you’d have to write about a comparison you made between any point in the story, a character, a theme, a hidden meaning, etc. and something in our modern reality, a social norm, a popular belief, etc. Your essays were always very open ended in this class, giving you room to write about almost anything you wanted to. Your professor knew that the assignments would be more enjoyable if there was some choice involved. He truly was good at his job.
“Look, reading’s hard sometimes, I get it. I’m dyslexic, so trust me, I understand. But I never let that stop me.” He paused to look around the room and it was so silent you could hear each other’s inhales and exhales. The power he had over a room full of around one hundred people was insane, and in a weird way, also turned you on. “I know the book is massive. Listen to the audio books if you have to, I don’t mind. But get the work done either way. It’s not for me, it’s for you. I want you to get the best grade you can in this class.”
“Bring me interesting material. I don’t want to fall asleep reading your work.” He joked and smiled proudly when laughter filled the room. “The essay is due in two weeks. Good luck.”
There were a few thank you’s and goodbyes scattered around the room as he sent everyone off, people scurrying from all sides to the exits.
You took your time gathering all your things and took a deep breath when the last few people made their way out, silence soon surrounding the both of you. You put your bag over your shoulder and walked down the carpeted steps, suddenly finding the dark grey pattern to be the most interesting things you’ve ever seen––and also watching your steps so that you don’t fall down them in front of him. You could barely hear the soft patter of your shoes as you walked down. When you finally got the main floor you looked up and saw him waiting for you patiently, things in his hands, a smile on his face.
“Let’s go then, shall we?” You nodded shyly and he led the way, his office only a hallway away from the lecture hall. You found it slightly odd that he didn’t try to make conversation on your way there, since he always loved to. But you tried not to think too hard about it. Maybe he was just tired.
When you reached his office, he opened the door and let you walk in first. Your eyes immediately scanned the room out of curiosity as you stepped inside, noticing his desk, the wood a dark mahogany which was covered with stacks of papers, picture frames, pens, and a few marvel funko pops––so he really was a fan. You’d never actually been inside of his office before. It was an intimidating thought for you to be in his office with him, alone. You just didn’t want to embarrass yourself.
You turned to him and gestured to the chair across from his desk, “Do I just––”
“Please,” he interrupted eagerly. “Make yourself comfortable.”
You took a seat and he set his things down next to his desk before sitting as well. His hair was coiffed to perfection today, curls sculpted nicely, a dark blue suit on his body with a black shirt underneath. He took off the suit jacket and put it on the back of his chair and you could see his veins and muscles bulging and shifting in his arms as he moved. He clasped his hands in front of him on the desk and wow he had nice fingers. You really had to get a grip on yourself––
“How was class today for you? Well, besides that one disappointing comment.”
You smiled, “I always enjoy the class, but yeah that was uh, disappointing as you said.
“I think your interpretations are always very insightful and very interesting. It’s almost a shame that you don’t share them with the whole class but part of me likes it that we keep them between us.” Oh? “Plus, I know how scary it can be talking in front of all those people. I almost shit myself first time I taught that class––”
You let out a surprised laughter and he couldn’t help laugh as well.
“Shit, sorry! I mean––” He sighed, “Language, sorry. I’m British.” He shrugged, “Can’t help it.”
You shook your head, “It’s okay. Personally I think curse words spice up conversations.” You smiled proudly when he laughed at your joke.
His smile radiated a more nervous energy after his laughter died off. “When you ran off yesterday, that wasn’t––was that because of me? Because if I did something to make you uncomfortable I’m so sorry.”
You tilted your head, trying to think of a way to explain. “No it wasn’t, well––it kind of was?” You had no idea why you would tell him this, but apparently your mouth was moving without agreeing with your mind first.
There was almost a pout on his face and you had the sudden urge to reach over the table and smooth it out with your lips. “It’s just, well––You make me just a little bit nervous, to be honest professor.” You looked down at your lap and back up at him timidly.
He raised his brows, “Oh––”
Your smile was strained and you wanted nothing more than to be swallowed whole by the floor.
“Well that’s not a bad thing, is it?” He looked at you almost, hopefully?
You laughed, “No trust me, it’s not.” Your eyes widened at the realization of what you’d basically just admitted to him and you didn’t know if you should feel embarrassed or relieved when the smirk appeared on his face.
But the words that he uttered next cleared that up for you. “Well, if I’m honest, you make me nervous too, darling. And definitely not in a bad way.” He leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms, almost teasing you with how good he looked.
You licked your lips, your mouth suddenly feeling dry, crossing your legs, your thighs squeezing together, and he definitely noticed, his eyes trailing down your body as he licked his lips as well.
The tension in the room was so thick but you found that you didn’t want to escape it, if anything you wanted to carve your way through it, stay for as long as you could until it snapped.
Your professor spread his legs, his hands coming down to rub at his thighs as he watched you and the sound of your heartbeat pounding filled your ears. It was almost as if there was an unseen force pulling the two of you together, but before it could there was a knock at the door.
The both of your heads snapped to the door to find it opening slowly. Jacob, Tom’s teaching assistant popped his head in. You had talked to him a few times, he was always very nice. He didn’t attend every class, but you guessed that he would be attending the next one. “Hey man.” He turned to you and smiled, “Oh hi Y/N.” You waved and let out a small hi in response. He turned back to the professor. “Your next class is starting like––” He looked at his watch. “Now.”
“Shit, sorry man. Lost track of time.” He got up and you did too, smiling sheepishly as you grabbed your things, getting up from your seat. “I’ll be right there.” Jacob nodded and closed the door.
You both made your way over to the exit slowly, still reeling from what maybe could have happened and what you both obviously thought of. The silence was loud around you, but it wasn’t scary this time.
“Let me know if you need any help with the upcoming assignment, alright? Don’t be afraid to stop by if you need to.” His gaze dropped down to your lips for a split second before reaching your eyes again. “For anything.” He looked at you with an expression you couldn’t describe but quickly tried to mask it with a smile as he opened the door for you, his eyes practically holding yours captive.
“Thank you, professor. I will.”
You stepped out and he watched you for a few moments before closing the door. You looked back, smiling as you caught his eye and as soon as he stepped back in the office, you practically ran out of the building and to your dorm, a stupid grin on your face.
“Holy shit.”
❊❊❊❊
When you practically burst into your dorm room, scaring Liz half to death before you told her what happened, let’s just say she wasn’t surprised in the slightest.
“I fucking told you!” She flopped onto her bed, still staring at you pointedly as she did so, a smirk on her face. She pointed at you before dropping her hand down dramatically by her side. “You like, owe me a soda now or something.”
You rolled your eyes but you were so giddy the smile still hadn’t dropped from your face. “Well I do owe you for getting me lunch yesterday, so maybe I will buy you one.”
❊❊❊❊
Over the weekend, you started working on the essay for British Literature and you were already about halfway done since the topic you chose actually interested you. But you found yourself questioning if you were writing it properly as you went on. You weren’t sure if it was because you wanted it to be near perfect since you’d found out he paid extra attention to you, or maybe you just wanted to talk to him again––you’d never know.
After discussing with Liz, you decided you’d stop by his office on Monday afternoon once you were done with your classes. You knew he liked to stay in his office until late at night sometimes, he always said we could stop by whenever, if we needed something. So you decided to take advantage of that, shoving down your anxious thoughts and doing what you wanted.
Liz may or may not have convinced you to wear a shirt that was––aesthetically pleasing, to put it, specifically in the chest area so you were more than eager to see your professor’s reaction. You were a little nervous, you didn’t want it to seem like you were trying too hard, but you thought you looked good in this shirt, and you had a right to feel good about yourself. Since it was a little chilly outside, you hid it under a sweatshirt for now.
You got to his office and found yourself staring at the dark wood, hesitating to knock on. After taking a deep breath you rapped your knuckles against the door.
You heard a faint Come in! And you took a deep breath and opened the door slowly to find him sitting at his desk, “Hi Professor Holland.” He was finishing some notes on a student’s essay but his head snapped up immediately at the sound of your voice.
He dropped his pen and sat up, “Please,” he motioned to the seat across from his desk and you smiled gratefully before settling down. “What can I do for you? Everything alright?”
His eyes looked sincere and concerned and you could feel your insides melting a little bit.
“I just––I really want to do well on this essay,” He nodded for you to continue, “But I’m just not sure if I’m going in the right direction.”
He nodded understandingly, “Well let’s have a look, shall we?”
You reached down to grab your things when he stood up and walked past you, your eyes following him in confusion. He gestured to the couch, a somewhat impish smile on his face. “Just thought it would be more comfortable––and easier for us to look together, of course.”
You nodded, a small smile on your face as you picked up your bag and sat next to him on the couch. “Right, of course.” It was a loveseat so there wasn’t much room for either of you to distance yourselves.
You got out your computer and opened up the essay. You had already opened it before you got there, not wanting to have to awkwardly wait for it to load. Yes, you overthought things but––it helped sometimes. “I see you came prepared,” he joked and you couldn’t help but smile. He really did notice everything, didn’t he.
“Well I’m really confident about the topic of my essay, I think it’s interesting. But I feel like I may be adding too much into the paper, and I’m not sure if I’m overthinking things or if I should take some things out.”
“I’m sure it’s not as bad as you think. I meant it when I said I appreciate having you in my class, you know. I always love reading your work. You write well.”
“Thank you, professor.” Though you saw his eyes darken at the title, he commented on it.
“You can call me Tom when we’re alone, darling. No need for formalities.”
“But I like calling you professor––” Your hand shot up to cover your mouth and you spoke before he could, ignoring his smile, “I mean um. Tom––Okay I can try that.”
His tongue passed under his teeth, a devilish smirk on his face as he watched you squirm under his gaze. “No you know, now I think professor is growing on me.”
You pursed your lips, rolling your eyes. “Prof––Tom.”
He raised his hands in surrender, “Alright alright.”
“Why don’t you read it to me? It’s easier to see where you can improve when you hear it out loud.”
You swallowed nervously, nodding your head as you brought your laptop closer to you. “O––Okay.”
You started reading your paper out loud, voice becoming slightly steadier as you went on, two fingers scrolling up the trackpad. He made comments as you read, only praise––and with each compliment you felt yourself getting hotter. Very good. Always write so well. Nice point there. Mhm. Good girl, that’s an excellent point. He shifted his way closer to you gradually as you read on and when his thigh touched yours, you had to tell yourself not to jump from the contact.
He placed his arm on the back of the couch, basically around your shoulder and you had to smush down the urge to throw your computer and climb into his lap. His thighs did look very inviting with the way he was sitting, though.
He moved closer to you and you could feel his breath cascading down over your shoulder as he brought his hand to the trackpad, his arm over your thigh, fingers scrolling through to where he had a few suggestions.
When he finished his few remarks, you could hear the proud smile in his voice. “See, I knew it wouldn’t be as bad as you thought. You’re a good writer...” He paused and you turned your head slightly to find his lips mere inches from yours, his eyes trained on your mouth. His words were barely a whisper when he spoke up again, “A good student.” You both leaned in slowly and his hand came up to hold your cheek lightly. “Bet you’d be a good girl for me too.”
You gasped lightly and leaned forward, giving in and finally pressing your lips to his, both your hands grabbing his jaw. He moaned immediately, his body pressing into yours as you twisted to face him, his other hand coming around your waist to pull you in. You felt your laptop slipping off your thighs and squeaked, making the both of you laugh and pull away, flustered.
“Careful, love.” Tom grabbed the computer and put it down on the floor gently, confirming that you saved your work before pushing the lid closed.
The air in the room was hot, thanks to Tom in general, but also thanks to what you just did. So you pulled away and couldn’t help but smile at the sight of Tom’s pout when he thought you were getting up to leave. Since there wasn’t much space on the couch, you stood up to take your hoodie off and you heard his breath hitch when his eyes fell upon the shirt you were wearing. “Christ-”
“Now what’s this?” Tom said almost to himself, his eyes staring at you in wonder and awe. “Never seen this little number before.” He noticed the clothes you wore? His hands were already aching to feel you again, reaching out for you subconsciously and you bit your lip to calm your smile as you sat back down, letting your sweater fall to the floor softly.
“What, this old thing?” You joked, looking down at the shirt––yeah, you looked good. “You like it?” You looked up at him, a cheekily innocent look in your eyes.
He put his hands around your waist and pulled you into his lap, enjoying the gasp it elicited from you. You put your hands gingerly on his shoulders and the way he was looking up at you made you never want to leave this position ever again. You tilted your head and licked your lips and Tom couldn’t take it anymore, he kissed you again, hands gripping you firmly, anchoring you to him. He pulled away after a good while, wanting to look at you again, his lips parted, practically panting like an animal. You really had an effect on him, but he did the same to you.
His eyes were taking you in, basically capturing a mental image for later. “God, you look heavenly, darling.” You squirmed in his lap and bit your lip when you felt a bulge growing underneath you. He leaned forward and left a trail of kisses on the tops of your breasts, leaving a few teasing nips and sucks here and there. You squealed, your hands coming up to run your fingers through his hair. You pulled his head up by his hair and the look in his eyes looked absolutely feral––like he wanted to eat you.
You were about to lean in and kiss him again when a knock at the door surprised the both of you. You both jumped off of the couch as Tom threw out excuses. “Yeah just a second!” You straightened out your shirt as Tom did the same to his pants and you picked up your things.
When he saw that you were settled, he took a deep breath and answered the door. His colleague and best friend Professor Osterfield, was standing there, a grin on his face. “You div, are you ever going to be on time for our monthly meetings?––” He stood up straight when he noticed you standing behind Tom. “Oh, I didn’t know you had company.” He looked between the two of you and it seemed as though he pieced everything together. Maybe Tom had told him about you? If he did, you wouldn’t be worried Tom didn’t seem like the type to tell unreliable people his business––and they were best friends after all.
You smiled at him in acknowledgement as moved aside to let you pass. “Sorry,” you looked between the both of them, “I’ll let you get to whatever you have to go to.” You looked at Tom once you were out of his office, “Thank you for the feedback, professor.”
You could see him fighting off his smirk before he replied, “Of course.” His stare was impenetrable as he looked at you, “Feel free to come by whenever.” You could see the hidden meaning in his words and let the hint of a smile show, before nodding and walking off.
Harrison looked at him, a pitiful smile on his face. “I hope you know what you’re doing, mate. You should be careful, for the both of you.”
Tom sighed, not wanting to have this conversation. “I know, man. Let’s go.”
❊❊❊❊
You found yourself missing Tom as soon as you left. God, this was kind of pathetic. But at least your feelings weren’t necessarily one sided––he did say you made him nervous too after all. You doubt he’d say that if he just wanted to fuck you––he was better than most men. And sure you might be a little biased, but at the end of the day he had a good heart and he was educated. So bonus.
When you stepped into your dorm, your roommate was sitting on her bed, snacks in hand as she looked at you expectantly. “Now these,” she gestured to the food on her bed, “are either for a story time, to rebuild your energy or both.”
You laughed and changed into your pajamas, starting to tell your best friend about everything that just happened. She often interrupted with her reactions and comments.
Oh. My. God.
Shut. Up.
You’re fucking lying!
“But we didn’t fuck.”
“Boo––”
“Yes, boo.” You laughed, “Professor Osterfield knocked at the door and dragged him off to a meeting so.” You shrugged.
“Professor Osterfield...is that the hot blond one?” You nodded and she continued expressing her feelings for the man. “I’d let him teach me a few things––”
“Literally bye.”
She laughed, “What? Come on have you seen him––”
“I’m a little preoccupied with another professor to be honest.”
She nodded, handing you a bag of chips as you settled in your bed. “True. And oh how lucky you are.” You smiled in agreement.

Today was the day the essay was due and though you normally handed it in at the beginning of class, for once, you didn’t and you could feel Tom’s gaze following you as you walked up the steps to your seat without so much as a glance in his direction. You’d stopped by his office a few times over the past two weeks since Harrison interrupted you, but you never did anything more than kissing and grinding. You were both too scared of getting caught, but that doesn’t mean you hadn’t thought about doing more in there.
Tom liked to have physical copies of the essays, just in case technology decides it’s against him (his words), so everyone had until 8pm tonight to drop it off by his office. You were definitely going to use that to your advantage.
You didn’t wear anything provocative to class, you didn’t really want that kind of attention today, plus you knew that Tom’s interest in you wasn’t solely based on your appearance. So you put the revealing items on under your clothing. And honestly, the thought that no one knew what you were wearing underneath it all only excited you even further.
You crossed your legs, relieving your tension and biting your lip as class went on, enjoying how flustered Tom would be every time he looked at you. You felt so submissive when you were alone with him, but when you were in public like this? Free to tease him subtly from a distance? That’s where you had all the power.
You had him blushing and stuttering throughout the whole class, though it wouldn’t have been easy for everyone else to notice, for you it was so obvious. He kept rubbing his hands together, pacing around as his eyes darted to you every few minutes. At one point he went over to sit down at his desk, which he rarely did while teaching––and you were fairly certain it was to hide a bulge in his pants. All thanks to you.
In the middle of the class, you felt your phone vibrate in your bag and pulled it out just to see if it was an emergency. You were pleasantly surprised and could feel your whole body react when you noticed who the message was from.
Tom: Having fun, are you?
Your eyes shot up to the front of the room and you bit your lip to contain your smile when you noticed him glaring at you.
Y/N: I always have fun in this class, professor ;)
You put your phone away afterwards and focused on the class, knowing it was killing Tom that you weren’t giving him more attention. Your heart was racing and your panties had a wet patch by the time class was over. You had a feeling he was going to try to keep you after class, so you hurried up and gathered your things, sighing in relief when a few students went up to his desk to talk to him.
You smirked to yourself and headed straight for the door, your head high on your shoulders. But just as you were about two feet from the exit, Tom spoke up.
“I assume I’ll be seeing you later, Miss Y/L/N?”
You turned around, eyes slightly widening as you noticed him, the group of students near him.
He smirked slyly, “To turn in your paper, remember?” His eyes were giving you a knowing look.
You swallowed, nodding as you smiled at him innocently. “Of course, professor.” You enjoyed the way his eyes darkened only slightly, only noticeable to you. “See you then.” With that you walked out.
❊❊❊❊
You practically skipped to his office at around 7:45, before knocking at the door, four knocks in a specific pattern––the code you’d made together.
“Come in, darling!”
You walked in and quickly shut the door, a chuckle escaping you. “You know someone could hear you from the outside one day, right?”
He shrugged, “I’ll just blame it on my accent. Could call everyone darling, they don’t know any better.”
You laughed. “Okay well––Professor Holland,” you said, loving the way he looked at you when you uttered his title. “I brought this for you.” You took out the printed essay and placed it on his desk.
He pushed his chair out, his eyes following your every move as he spread his legs. “Oh is that right?”
You took the invitation and took your reserved seat in his lap, linking your arms around his neck as you looked down at him. “Mhm, still want a good grade in this class you know. You are my favorite professor after all.”
He smirked smugly, licking his lips. “And you,” he kissed your lips before pulling away briefly, “Are my favorite girl.” He brought his hands up your back and pulled you into him as he kissed you again. This time, longer and deeper, wanting to feel you as much as possible. “Teased me so much in class today.” You smiled into the kiss and he continued, “Almost wanted to take you over my knee right there in front of everyone.”
You moaned audibly and he brought his hand up to your neck, gripping you softly but firmly, giving you room to pull away if you didn’t approve. When you leaned further into his grip, he grinned and pulled you closer. You started grinding down on him, basking in the desperate groans and sighs you were coaxing out of him, the way his movements became more frantic as he bucked into you.
After debating with yourself in your head for a moment––struggling to think properly with his hands all over you, you got off of his lap and smiled at the small whines of protest he let out before reaching for his belt. You made eye contact with him and noticed how wide his eyes were, hopeful, hungry, but hesitant.
His hands reached for yours, “You don’t have to, darling. If anything I should be doing this first. God knows I’ve thought about it.”
You pouted, trying your best to ignore his words and focus on the task at hand. “But I want to,” you kissed his cheek, “I wanna make you feel good, professor.” He nodded, barely able to speak.
“Yeah? You wanna be a good girl for me?”
You nodded eagerly, licking your lips as he pulled himself out of his trousers. “More than anything. Wanna make up for earlier.” You got down on your knees, mouth practically salivating at the way his member stood tall against his abdomen, his tip leaking with precum.
Your hand wrapped around him just as a knock sounded at the door. Professor?
The both of your eyes widened, the both of you looking around for some sort of answer before he ushered you under the desk, tucking himself back in hastily, pulling his chair as much as he could and sitting at the edge, hiding his unbuttoned and unbuckled pants. Luckily for the both of you, the back of the desk reached the floor, so whoever it was wouldn’t be able to see you hiding underneath. “Uh––Come in!”
The person walked in and you recognized the sound of her voice, she often spoke up in the lectures. You couldn’t remember her name, though. You do, however, remember that she often spoke up only to get Tom’s attention. You’d heard her gush about him in the halls just outside his class in the hopes of him hearing her. You couldn’t blame her, but the thought still irked you. “I just wanted to give you my paper. I hope it’s not too late.”
Tom checked the time on his watch, 7:58. “Nope,” he laughed breathlessly, trying to compose himself, “Not too late at all, in fact just in time.”
She handed her paper to Tom and he gave her a tight-lipped smile, trying his best not to think about the fact that your hands were trailing up his thighs and that he could feel your warm breath hitting the exposed part of his member––he really hadn’t payed attention when he tucked himself back in.
Before he could send the girl who’s name you still hadn’t remembered off, she took a seat across from him and he swallowed nervously, a little frustrated since he was so close to getting his cock in his girl’s mouth.
It seemed that you somehow read his thoughts because as soon as the girl kept talking for another two minutes, you pulled his member out and stroked him, licking up his shaft and he tensed, taking every ounce of self control he had not to look down at you. His hand reached down and held your cheek gently, just wanting to feel you. You nuzzled into his palm and he had to bite his lip to suppress his smile, not wanting the student across from him to think his endearing expression was meant for her.
You honestly completely tuned out all the words she was saying, your sole focus pleasuring Tom. But you didn’t miss the flirty and falsely innocent tone in her voice. You couldn’t see her but she was no doubt batting her eyelashes at him as well.
When she made a comment about how good his shirt looked on him, you couldn’t help yourself, you sucked his tip into your mouth with no warning, making him groan unexpectedly. You paused, eyes wide and playful as your mouth stayed around him.
“Are you okay professor?”
He let out a strained smile, “Yes, Emma, Sorry––” So her name was Emma. “I just uh banged my knee on the desk.”
She hummed a small okay and went on.
He caught your eye, trying his best to keep his expression neutral, but boy was it hard. Especially when you were looking up at him like that, with his cock in your mouth. You licked around his tip and lowered your mouth around him and he had to force himself to focus on the girl who was still talking to him.
You were not playing fair but quite frankly you didn’t care. You were making him feel good and yourself too. Your hand was pumping him, your tongue swirling around him as quietly as you could, while your other hand found its place between your thighs.
In the middle of Emma’s speech, Tom’s eyes drifted down and widened, his breath getting caught in his throat when he noticed your other hand, moving between your legs. He stuttered out an excuse, unable to tear his eyes away from you for a moment, “Uh, Emma I’m so sorry––I just have so much work to do, but feel free to come back––” he paused to swallow when you sucked harder around him in reaction to his invitation. “Come back next week if you have any problems or anything else you’d like to discuss.”
She hesitantly but respectfully said goodbye and was on her way, closing the door behind her.
Tom’s hands immediately shot down to hold your head, his mouth dropped open as he watched you, approaching his high. “Shit, that’s it darling that’s it. So fucking good for me.”
“I’m gonna cum––” he warned. You simply hummed around him and sped up your movements, feeling yourself clench as he panted, his hips bucking slightly as he came into your mouth. You unfortunately weren’t able to cum but you were sure there’d be other chances. You popped off of him and swallowed his load before licking up his length teasingly slow. “Fuck, such a good girl.”
He pulled his chair out and brought you up to stand between his legs, tiling his head to look up at you, his hands rubbing up and down the backs of your thighs absentmindedly. “Was someone a little jealous?”
You shrugged, trying to act nonchalant but failing to fix your annoyed facial expression. “Maybe.”
He tucked himself back into his pants and stood up, chuckling as he squeezed your cheek. “I’m yours.” He pecked your lips, before looking in your eyes, “And I’m most definitely repaying the favor when we get home. I mean––if you want to, of course.” Home.
You couldn’t help but smile, “Yeah––Okay.”
You’d never been to Tom’s house before so this felt like sort of a big deal to you, but you were going to try and calm your racing thoughts and heart. You and Tom agreed that you would go around the corner of the building for him to pick you up in his car, not wanting to risk anyone seeing you.
As soon as you were settled in, seatbelt on, Tom drove off and honestly the thrill of having to hide was exciting to the both of you. His hand was gripping your thigh throughout the whole drive and you could tell it was meant as a reminder that he was there for you, but also that he could barely contain himself.
Seeing Tom drive you, the flashing street lights illuminating his face, highlighting his jawline, his hand gripping your thigh––this was a sight you knew you wanted to see more. The intimacy of it all made you warm inside and the feeling of Tom’s fingertips digging into your skin only riled you up further.
You leaned over to kiss his cheek and he smiled at the feeling of your soft lips drifting over his skin. “Darling––” His words were cut off by a harsh moan when you trailed your lips down to his sweet spot, the noise almost too loud for the quiet, tense air in the car.
You teased, licked and bit at his skin, not afraid to leave marks. It was Friday now, if anyone saw them on Monday, they would just assume he’d had an eventful weekend. Honestly, the thought that no one would know that you were the one who left those marks excited you––it would be a secret between you and Tom, a thing for the two of you to share on your own.
Tom’s hands were now gripping the wheel and your thigh with force, trying to get his bearings. “You’re being very naughty today, love. Can’t say that I don’t love it though.”
You smiled sinfully into his neck, continuing your actions. Your hand slid over his thigh teasingly slow to rest on his bulge, fingers squeezing ever so softly and he practically jolted in his seat. “Christ––love unless you want me to crash this car I suggest you stop.”
You pulled away, satisfied with how much you’d riled him up. He almost whined at the loss of contact, subconsciously upset that you’d actually stopped. But as your hand reached back down to find its place between your thighs, his tone shifted.
“Don’t you dare touch what’s mine. That’s my job.”
You actually felt a shiver pass through your body and you squeezed your thighs together at the sound of his dominant voice, excited for what was to come.
When you made it to his apartment, you barely had time to take in the scenery and take off your shoes and jackets before he dragged you to his room. But from what you saw, the decor was simple but elegant, much like Tom. His bedroom was the same, but again, you weren’t too focused on it.
He turned on the dim light in his room, wanting to be able to see you as he pleased you. He stepped closer to you and placed his hands on your waist, looking deep into your eyes. “You still want this?”
You nodded absolutely certain. “Want you to take me.”
His pupils dilated and he pulled your shirt up and over your head, licking his lips, eyes widening when he noticed what you were wearing and you couldn’t help but smile.
“Christ, were you wearing this all day?”
You nodded again. “The underwear’s matching too. Wanna see?”
He got down on his knees, a teasing but desperate tone to his voice. “You’re a smart girl, don’t ask stupid questions.” He unbuttoned your pants and pulled them down along with your socks, mouth dropping open as he got to see the full set.
You ran your hands up and down your body teasingly as he stood up. “Do you like it?”
He shook his head, smiling in disbelief, “Again with the silly questions, love.” He leaned in to kiss you, pulling away to take off his clothes. “You look like a goddess, darling.” You could feel your skin heating up from his words and his stare. He pulled you in for another kiss before bringing you onto the bed.
You lied down in the middle and spread your legs, waiting for him eagerly as he lied down between them. “Can’t fucking wait to taste you, love.”
He pulled your panties over to the side and licked into you, his tongue softly swiping through your folds. His eyes rolled back as he moaned into you, “Taste just as perfect as you look.” He slid his hands around your thighs and pulled you in closer, smiling at the small squeak you let out.
His tongue was exploring you, finding all the spots and all the tricks that made your toes curl and your breath hitch. He was keeping this all to memory, memorizing the way you feel, the way you look. When your breaths quickened and your fingers tugged at his curls, he locked his arm around your stomach, slid one, then two fingers inside of you and sped up his movements, moving his head from side to side as he hummed onto your clit.
Your body tensed and you held onto him for dear life as the knot in your stomach gave out, the pleasure spreading all throughout your body. Your mouth dropped open in ecstasy, your neck craning back and Tom couldn’t look away from you. You looked like a painting and he wanted to commit it to memory.
He let go of you and kissed his way up your body, soothing you with his lips. Your legs were still twitching slightly, your stomach clenching and unclenching when his kisses reached your cheek. “Look so pretty when you come for me.” He kissed along your jaw, “Can’t believe you’ve deprived me of such a beautiful sight for so long.” He kissed your lips and tugged your bottom one between his teeth, before looking at you, eyes wide, “You gonna give me the privilege of seeing it again?”
You smiled, your hands coming up to hold his cheeks. “You can see it whenever you want. As long as you’re the one making it happen.” You pulled him to you and kissed him, the both of you moaning into the small gaps between your mouths.
He started to pull away but you whined and pulled him back making him smile. “I’ve gotta get a condom, love.”
He tried to get up again but you pulled him back down, “M’on the pill Tommy.” You looked up at him, pouting and he almost gasped––the effect you had on him was insane. “Just fuck me please.”
He didn’t need anymore convincing, grabbing a hold of his cock and swiping it through your folds, groaning out loud at how good your wetness felt. You bucked your hips and realizing you were getting desperate, he finally slid into you and all your senses immediately tuned into him.
Just like your dream––All of your senses were in overdrive. All you could feel were the hands tracing every curve of your body, playing you like a toy they’d made themselves. All you could hear was that sweet, rough voice telling you praises and calling you endearing names as your whole body shivered from the pleasure.
His eyes were watching your face, taking you in as he thrusted into you, making sure you were enjoying everything he was giving you. You felt absolutely amazing and so did he. “So perfect for me, darling. That’s it.” He bit his lip and sped up, making your jaw drop as you stared into his eyes, completely open and vulnerable to him. His touch was tantalizing, even better than your fantasies which only meant you’d become more addicted to him and what he could do to you.
He grunted, angling his hips when he found your spot, hitting it over and over, bringing his hand down to play with your clit. “Told you I wanted to see you cum again, pretty girl. So you’re gonna cum then I’m gonna fill you up. That sound okay?”
You nodded eagerly, eyes watching his every move as your hands gripped his arms, your thighs burning invitingly as they stretched around him with every thrust. Then you uttered that one word that always had him almost inappropriately weak for you. “Want to be full of you, professor.”
His jaw slacked and he paused for a slight moment before picking up his pace, faster than before, hips chasing after both your highs, fingers still rubbing you just the way he learned, just the way you liked. “Fuck-–”
A few more thrusts and flicks of his wrist and you were tensing under him, your pussy clenching around him as he let out broken curses and moans, losing his rhythm and releasing into you with a groan.
He rested some of his weight on you for a moment, the both of you smiling and laughing breathlessly as you took in the moment. Your hands came up to play with his curls and he sighed, leaning into your touch. He lowered his head into the crook of your neck and left a few soft kisses, coaxing some sighs from you as well.
After a moment, he rolled over and took you with him, making you nuzzle further into him, his arm wrapped around you, your leg slung over his waist. His hand was rubbing up to your ass and down to your thigh, lulling you to sleep while simultaneously riling you up again.
He kissed your forehead and you kissed his chest in response. “That was fucking amazing, love.”
You nodded and hummed in agreement, “Even better than my dreams.”
He pulled back to look at you, you could hear his heartbeat quicken and you tried to hide your face in his chest. “You had dreams about this too?”
That made you lift your head up to look at him. You could see in his eyes that he wasn’t joking but you were still slightly shocked. “Too?”
He smiled, licking his lips, “Well maybe we should discuss them, and try them out for ourselves.” His hand found its way between your legs again, making you moan but that didn’t stop you from responding.
You nodded, “For research purposes, of course.”
“Of course.” He grinned, “See, I knew I taught you well.” He leaned in to kiss you deeply, “My girl’s the perfect student.”
You spent hours exploring each other's bodies as you reenacted your dreams, both exceeding each other's expectations every time. By the time you fell asleep in each other's arms, it was late at night and you were sweaty, and tired, but overwhelmingly pleased.
❊❊❊❊
The next Friday, it was halloween. Liz had somehow convinced you to go to a halloween party with her. On top of that it was a frat party. And even worse, you dressed up as a school girl because it was all last minute and you didn’t have any time to get a costume.
“Oh come on Y/N, you look hot!”
You turned in the full length mirror to look at your ass that was almost visible in this mini skirt. “You think so?”
“Duh.”
And that’s all the convincing you needed to go out. You needed a little college fun. You hadn’t been to a party in who knows how long because you were always focusing on your work. You deserved this. Also Liz said it was a celebration of your “lay”, yes, she said lay.
“I’m just saying you cannot let me get with him again.”
“Liz it’s literally his frat house that we’re going to and we both know you have little to no self control.”
“Well damn. You couldn’t have sugar coated it?”
“What, you want me to throw a packet of splenda on you?” You joked.
She shoved you, “Dude shut up,” she laughed.
You looked down at your bare thighs that were only partly covered by your thigh high socks and rubbed your arms, regretting not bringing a jacket when Liz spoke up again. “Oh shit, is that Professor Holland?”
Your eyes shot up and made direct eye contact with him. He was wearing a hoodie and some sweats but he still looked great as usual. His eyes trailed down your body and soon your shivers were no longer because of the cold.
“I’ll just wait here.” Liz said suggestively and you walked over to Tom.
“H–Hi.”
He put his hands in his pockets to stop himself from reaching out to touch you, he didn’t know who was around. “Well hello to you too.” He looked into your eyes, a smirk on his face. You rubbed your arms quickly for warmth, and Tom had to control himself to not look at your chest, even though he could see your nipples hardening from the weather through your shirt. He wanted nothing more than to hold you in his arms and take you home.
“Any plans?” You asked.
“No, I'm just about to go home. I’m uh guessing you have somewhere to be?” His eyes traced your figure again.
“Yeah um me and Liz are going to a frat party.” You pointed back to your friend and gave him a small smile and shrug. “She convinced me.”
He wanted to kiss you so bad but he had to restrain himself.
“Be safe tonight, yeah?” His eyes were comforting, as they always were, but this felt almost more personal? Almost like he didn’t want you to go. And honestly, after seeing him, you almost didn’t want to either. You never defined your relationship with him, so honestly right now he was like a friend with benefits––professor with benefits, if you will.
You nodded, licking your lips nervously. “O––Okay. I will. You be safe too!”
His eyes followed you as you walked off, your friend pulling you along, obviously whispering to you, probably about him. You looked so fucking good and everyone else was going to see that too. It’s not like he owned you or anything, but part of him really wished he could claim you, openly care for you and be affectionate. His thoughts were a mix of wholesome and raunchy and he had no idea how to act.
He almost felt wrong but he couldn’t get the thoughts out of his mind, the way you looked up at him sheepishly, the innocent look in your eyes while you were wearing that mini skirt. His cock was bulging in his boxers ever since he first laid eyes on you. When he got home, he made his way to his bed, undressing almost immediately. Lying down in the middle of the bed, just where you were days before brought a flood of memories into his mind, only making his member throb even more. He tugged at his cock, spitting in his hand to make it slick.
Images of you were flashing in his mind as he sped up his movements, desperate for a release.
He was dying to get a taste of you again. The memory of the way you felt under his fingertips, the way your muscles clenched when he hit the right spots. The way you tasted when you were dripping onto his tongue. The way you looked at him when you came, your lips parted to release broken moans and whimpers. The way your fingers gripped his curls as your body tensed. It was all enough to make him spill over his hand, his breaths coming out in quick pants as his head dropped back onto the pillow.
“Fuck.” He really had it bad for you.
❊❊❊❊
Tom had texted you during class on Tuesday to meet him in his office when you were done with classes for the day. When you stepped into the room, he locked the door immediately, bringing you over to his desk, his lips chasing yours. Screw worrying about people hearing you, he wanted you. Now.
“God, just seeing you in that tight little costume––you have no idea how badly I wanted to ravish you. The thought of all those dumb frat boys seeing you in all your glory like that––I was absolutely beside myself.” So that’s what this was about. His hand came up to hold your cheek, his eyes fiercely staring into yours and you nuzzled into his touch, your hand holding his wrist softly and his eyes softened at the sight of you.
“I’m gonna absolutely devour you.” You gasped and he smiled, pulling your pants along with panties down. He sat you down on his desk and got down on his knees, licking his lips. “As soon as I got a taste of you, I knew I wouldn’t be able to go without it ever again.” He kissed your thigh, looking up at you. “You gonna let me have a taste again? Wanna make you feel good, lovie.”
You nodded, swallowing roughly, “Y––Yeah. Yes please.”
He chuckled breathlessly, “Such a polite little thing you are.” He kissed his way from your inner thigh to your center before licking a torturously slow stripe from your hole to your clit. You let out a sigh and gripped the desk, your fingertips becoming lighter at how hard you were already holding it.
His hands held your thighs open, putting them over his shoulders, holding you in place. His tongue was languidly licking you up and down, savoring your taste and your moans, coaxing them out of you one by one, nonstop. He looked up at you and your breath got caught in your throat, the look in his eyes fierce, almost as if he could see your bare soul and he clearly liked what he saw. He brought his lips to close around your heat after every other swipe of his tongue, passionately kissing your heat.
“So fucking good, angel. Always the best for me.”
You nodded, licking your lips, one of your hands coming to grab at his curls, making him growl into you. “Only for you, Tommy.”
He didn’t stop his tongue or his lips until you came, your back arching, fingers frantically grabbing for whatever you could hold, lip trapped between your teeth to muffle the moans that so desperately wanted to escape into the quiet air of the room. He kept going until you had to pull his head away from you, overwhelmed by all the pleasure and scared that you would scream and alert everyone in the building about what you were up to.
His hands were caressing your thighs, eyes looking at you in awe, almost too innocently for what you’d just done. He stood up between your legs and leaned in to kiss you, letting you taste yourself on his tongue and his lips.
He pulled away to look at you, hands holding your hips as your legs wrapped around his waist. You brought your arms up to link around his neck, looking up at him appreciatively and absolutely spent. “So do you think I should wear school girl outfits more often?”
He laughed, his hands holding you tighter, “If you do, my head is never leaving between your thighs.”
You smiled cheekily, batting your lashes at him. “Promise?”
He’d never gotten down on his knees quicker in his life. Let’s just say it took you another hour before you left his office.

Over the past few weeks it had become a routine for you to go over to Tom’s office to seemingly “work on your assignments and review,” so it wasn’t out of the ordinary for you to show up unannounced Friday afternoon. Without meaning to, though, it seemed you showed up a little too early, and ended up overhearing part of Tom and Harrison’s conversation.
“I can tell Y/N means a lot to you, mate. Don’t lie.” Your heart dropped to your stomach as you skidded just in front of the door, about to turn the corner inside. You backed up and stayed pressed to the wall. Luckily no one really stopped by this side of the building at this time on a Friday, so no one would find you snooping around in the middle of the hallway.
“No I just––”
No. He said no––Okay you weren’t going to freak out. This always happens in the movies, and then the main character runs away before hearing the most important part and they overreact. So you decided to just...wait it out.
So you waited and waited. And the more the silence overwhelmed you, the louder it got. You could feel the tears starting to form in your eyes because you really thought your feelings were mutual. But just as you inched your foot backwards to walk away, he spoke up again, his voice quiet.
“She means everything to me, man. I––It scares me, honestly. I just don’t want to mess it up.”
This time the tears fully formed in your eyes, but for the absolute opposite reason. You smiled and wiped at your eyes, not even bothering to hide anymore as you turned the corner, surprising Tom, his eyes widening as he took in your appearance. Harrison turned around to see you and his gaze filled with concern as well.
“Tom––” your voice was quiet but there was a smile on your face.
“Darling––” He rushed over to you and grabbed your hands, wiping your cheeks with his thumbs to catch the few tears that escaped. “What’s wrong, are you alright?”
Your hands came up to hold his wrists as you looked into his eyes, “I heard you talking.”
His face dropped in realization and he could feel his heart pounding in his chest.
Harrison cleared his throat and subtly made his way out, “You guys have some things to discuss.” He put a hand on your shoulder and you both smiled at each other appreciatively before he walked out, shutting the door behind him.
Tom took your hands and brought you over to the couch. “I hope I didn’t scare you off, love.”
You shook your head immediately, even climbing in his lap to prove him wrong and he smiled gratefully. “No! It’s just that we never really talked, you know, about us.” He nodded and you took that as a sign to continue, enjoying the way his hands subconsciously slipped under your shirt to rub at your skin soothingly. “I like you Tom, obviously. But I like you a lot.” You linked your hands behind his neck. “I think I might be falling for you.”
His eyes started tearing up as well, as he smiled, “Yeah well, I think I’ve already fallen for you, darling.”
You looked into his eyes and your smile brightened, “Okay maybe I lied––I’ve definitely already fallen for you as well.”
You both laughed lovingly, pulling each other in for a sweet kiss.“Look,” Tom started, licking his lips. “I don’t know what this means for our future, but all I know is I don’t plan on letting you go any time soon.”
You kissed his lips softly, “Well I don’t plan on leaving any time soon either.”
“Good.” He looked at you and you felt as though your soul was out and open for him to hold and love. “Cause you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, Y/N and I don’t ever want to lose you.”
You could feel your eyes tearing up again. This felt good. This felt like home.

“Friday night, there’s something special that’s going to happen. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?” Professor Song announces. There was only about 5 minutes of class left. No one was paying attention at that point.
Hoseok raises his hand, a confused look on his face.
“Yes Mr. Jung,” Professor Song calls.
“Are we getting an extra credit assignment that night?” He asks, getting a few laughs. Professor Song laughs along with a few students.
“No..” He says, knowing that he doesn’t give out extra credit and Hoseok needed a few credits to get his grade up to a B. “This has nothing to do with our class.”
Jungkook looks around and watches the guy next to him raise his hand.
“Can you just tell us? I have another class after this,” Jin asks. Professor Song sighs, but with a smile on his face.
“Alright, I’ll tell you all. I need everyone’s attention though,” Professor Song says. He looks around, making sure everyone’s attention was on him. It was a big class, but small enough for him to know the majority of the student’s names.
“Mr. Kim-- Namjoon,” he calls. Namjoon was typing up a storm on his phone. He quickly drops it, looking up at his professor. “Mr. Min, Yoongi, earphones off please-- can you tap his shoulder?” Taehyung, another student, taps the guy’s shoulder, getting his attention.
“Good, thank you.” Professor Song sighs, checking his phone for the time. “Alright I have 2 minutes now, so everyone listen up.”
“This Friday night, there will be a meteor shower-- around 10pm. This meteor shower is special. It passes by every 143 years and rumor has it that if you make a wish during the shower, it will come true.”
Jimin, a student up front, quickly raises his hand.
“Yes Mr. Park.”
“Is it real? How is that possible? Does it just happen? Like if I wish for a cake that exact second, a whole cake, or like a piece of it, will appear out of nowhere in my hands?”
Professor Song laughs, shaking his head.
“Well, I wasn’t around at the time, nor is there anyone alive since the last meteor shower to ask!”
“So you don’t know if it’s real?” Jungkook asks, squinting up at his professor.
“I don’t. But I wanted to let you all know, just in case it really is true.” Professor Song looks around. “I have known you all for a few weeks now, and I know some of you can use those wishes.”
——— Friday night ———
“What are you doing?” Jungkook asks his best friend. Nari stood in front of the door of Jungkook’s dorm. She was hugging two big blankets.
“Waiting for you to put on a jacket and come outside?” She says. “It’s already 9pm the meteor shower’s at 10! We need to go find a good spot outside, everyone’s already camping out Kook. We’re not going to get good seats.” She pouts, blinking her eyes up at her best friend, knowing she could get him to do whatever she wants just by giving him her puppy dog face.
“You believe what Song said?” Jungkook says, laughing as he goes back into his room to grab a hoodie.
“If it’ll help me pass calculus, then yes.”
Jungkook laughs, shaking his head as he walks back towards her.
“Alright, let’s go then.” He says, swinging his arm over her shoulder as they walk out and into the hallway.
-
Yoongi pressed shuffle on his playlist. He loves to listen to love songs on his walk back to his dorm, especially once it’s dark out.
Everyone was outside, waiting for the meteor shower to start. Yoongi didn’t believe in all that nonsense his professor spoke about, so he decided to go straight home instead.
“Yoongi!” Namjoon yells, waving at his friend. Yoongi takes off one of his earphones and smiles up at Namjoon. He wasn’t even halfway to his dorm yet.
“Are you going up to our room?” Namjoon asks. They were roommates.
“Yeah, I just got done studying in the library. Are you talking to Erin?” Yoongi asks, looking over at Namjoon’s phone. He was on a facetime call with his girlfriend.
“Hi Yoongi!” Erin yells.
“Hi Erin,” Yoongi waves. “You seem so energetic.. What time is it there?”
“Nearly 6am,” she laughs sheepishly.
“Wow,” Yoongi sighed out.
“Yeah… we take turns sacrificing our sleep,” Namjoon says. “Plus, she wanted to see the meteor shower with me.” Yoongi nods, understanding their situation. Long distance is hard. I mean, he wouldn’t know, he isn’t in one. He isn’t even in a relationship actually.
“Speaking of, are you going?” Namjoon asks his friend. Yoongi shakes his head no. “What?! Why not! Everyone’s out to watch it! Come with us,” Namjoon says, pulling the smaller one.
“EuGH!” Yoongi yells, as he’s dragged farther from his path to his dorm room.
“Let’s go! We might miss it.”
-
“Seokjin!”
Jin turns around as his name is called. He was currently on the way out of Pied Piper. The new restaurant across from campus.
“Yes Mr. Bang,” he says.
“I’m sorry. I know you were about to leave, but can you just refill that customer’s drink for me?”
“Yes sir, no problem,” Jin says, turning around to grab the water pitcher.
He walks over to the girl sitting alone by the window. She wasn’t paying attention to anyone in particular, rather just staring up at the sky.
Jin refills her glass.
“Thank you,” she says, she smiles up at Jin. He doesn’t know this, but she actually goes to his school. The same one across Pied Piper. But no one ever really notices GaEun. She likes to be alone and keeps to herself.
“No problem,” he replies. “Waiting for the meteor shower?” The girl nods.
“Yeah.”
-
“Taehyung hurry up,” Jimin yells, he’s standing by the door, watching his best friend and roommate switch hoodies for the 3rd time. “We’re going to be late.”
“I’m done, don't worry,” he replies, quickly fixing his hair. “But I don’t even have my wish prepared yet,” Taehyung says, turning around and pouting at Jimin.
“Well think about it on the way there, Hobi hyung said Jin hyung just got there.”
“Alright, well what’s your wish,” Taehyung asks, walking out the door. Jimin follows after him.
The two made their way out to meet their friends at the quad, where everyone was at to watch the meteor shower.
“I’m not telling you,” Jimin replies to him, making his best friend stop in his tracks.
“But I’m your best friend,” Taehyung says, frowning at him. Jimin laughs, slapping his arm.
“Don’t be a big baby about it,” he says, wrapping his arms around Taehyung’s left arm and pulling him.
“You’re not supposed to tell wishes, or else they won’t come true.”
“Who said.”
“Everybody knows that!”
-
“He’s not coming,” Boram says, frowning down at her phone. For the nth time, her boyfriend cancelled on her because of studying.
“What! But everyone’s going,” Hyejin says. “Especially couples. He has to go.”
“He says, it’s stupid,” Boram replies, falling back into the bed. Dramatically.
“It kind of is,” Jihyun says, flipping through her book. “Why waste time when you have stuff to do.” She was currently sitting at her desk, stressing out about her upcoming bio exam. She sucked at studying.
“But you’re still coming with us right?” Hyejin says. “I mean, I know you’re not even really studying. It took you half an hour to read that last page.” Jihyun turns her head around and glares at her.
“I can’t even be mad at you because you’re right,” she says, dropping her head into her book.
“Exactly,” Hyejin laughs, “so let’s go. Either way, your boyfriend is not coming and you’ll still be stuck on the same page.” She looked at both of her friends as she said this. “Might as well watch the meteor shower that only comes around every 143 years and make a wish that may or may not come true.” She laughs. “Maybe you could wish to magically pass your exam and that your boyfriend grows a brain.”
Boram gasps, but she gets up anyway, knowing she was right.
“You’re right,” Jihyun says. “Maybe I can just wish to graduate already and magically get a job instead.”
-
Hoseok is sitting with his friends as they wait for the meteor shower to start. It was almost 10pm.
Everyone was there already, talking and laughing with one another. The vibe tonight was definitely a good one and it felt like a night to remember. Everyone was on a blanket in the quad, sitting on the soft grass.
Some cuddled in a blanket. Some ate snacks. Some were just talking quietly with one another. Others were laughing loudly.
But everyone was under the stars, enjoying each other’s company.
It hasn’t even started and it felt like it was a great night already.
Hoseok was looking up at the sky in awe as he saw one shooting star fly by.
-
Myunghee sat by her dorm window. She was drained and had no energy to go outside to be with everyone else to watch the meteor shower. It was a long day and she just wanted to sleep but it was a once in a lifetime thing and she knows that she’ll be upset if she misses it.
Plus, if the wish thing is true, she can probably wish all her problems away.
It probably isn’t true.
But it was worth a shot.
Myunghee rested her head on her hand as she looked up at the sky.
A gasp leaves her lips as she saw, not one, not two, but three meteors fly by.
The meteor shower was finally starting.
-
“WOW!”
“That’s so cool!”
“Hurry and make your wishes guys!”
“Oh my~ this is so pretty!”
“Do you think I can get it on video?”
“Hurry up and make a wish before it ends!”
“Wait, are we going to wish for serious things?? I didn’t prepare myself enough for this.”
“Shh!”
Everyone closed their eyes and made a wish as they pressed their hands together in front of them.
The rumors were right.
The wishes do come true.
I wish I can experience the love I hear in love songs.
I wish you were here with me.
I wish you would just feel the same way.
I wish life was a little easier.
I wish I don’t have to be alone anymore.
I wish I could have someone that makes me feel like I’m worth it. I just wish to be happy again.
But only for those who needed them the most.
